After many years of wandering the sacred lands, seeking wisdom from his forefathers, Cairne Bloodhoof has proven himself as the long awaited hero. Cairne carries with him the spirit of his mightiest ancestor, and now the ground shakes with the combined strength of the Chieftain and his guardian spirit. No physical nor magical barrier can reduce the power of his enchanted halberd, the weapon used by his guardian in ancient times. Such is the power of this axe that it can split the very earth itself. Seeking revenge for the ravaging of his homeland, Cairne will soon bring his wrath upon the Scourge.
Echo Stomp Echo Stomp (T)

@Ranged
I'm not saying its bad, I'm saying its impractical to get in MID GAME because:
You sacrifice stats and survival to get an expensive item.
You won't have enough mana to cast.
Its expensive and Tauren doesn't farm but ganks.

727 By RangedHeroProb 2012-09-29

@726
But refresher is still far from bad item. Yes his ulti is easy to dodge, in case he doesn't use Stomp and Spirit. Once you got enemies with Stomp, then it won't be easy anymore.

I didn't say you should get it at early game. When I said to rush it, I mean that get this ASAP before late game. As long as you play this cow right, then u won't have a problem with items.

726 By KNiteman 2012-09-27

@724, you do know his Ulti is some what easy to dodge especially with a simple Force Staff and I don't think he has the mana to support the two uses of his Ulti during early game. Also he doesn't exactly have the time to hang around and farm a Refresher when you could be ganking. Refresher is a waste of gold on him, like Hyper said - only get it if you are riced...

725 By Hyperion1O1 2012-09-26

Honestly, unless its really needed, I'd go for cheap items that give better stats like Janggo or Veil than risk buying a Refresher Orb, esp if you dont have the mana to support it.

724 By RangedHeroProb 2012-09-25

Then try to rush it. Skip some 3000 gold items for Refresher. I've tried it before and it was game-breaker, and it wasn't low-level game. Early regen from Pers and Oblivion S is also nice to have. Get this if you guys wanna get new experience when playing this cow.

723 By Hyperion1O1 2012-09-25

Refresher is impractical unless you're that riced.

Ancestral and Echo are good initiation mechs but I find it easy to dodge them. Don't know why a lot of players are always getting hit by it.

722 By RangedHeroProb 2012-09-25

Refresher is soo good on this cow... V-Nuke combo. 70% max HP as damage ftw! :) It was in the guide named 'mad cow disease", though I don't understand why that guide is now gone.

721 By KNiteman 2012-09-25

@720 but you have Ancestral Spirit and Echo Stomp to help with you initiation. Though if he is the only one on his team capable of starting the fight the I think he should go ahead with it. If ES/DS/Enigma are there then they take the roles of primary initiator with him being the follow up/secondary initiator.

720 By Hyperion1O1 2012-09-25

He's a follow up hero. His initiation is too risky.

Consider having a Dark Seer as a team mate if you play Tauren.

719 By KNiteman 2012-09-24

Other items to consider for your 6th slot that around 3000 gold are Vlads, Blademail, Veil of Discord, Rod of Atos. Necrobook Level 1.

718 By KNiteman 2012-09-24

@717, I understand that your build is mainly based around pub play, though I see him as more of a support/ganking hero that is used for setting up AoE combos. So I would build him with : Magic Wand, Arcane Boots, Meka/Pipe, Urn of Shadows, Jango, and your 6th item is basically a slot reserved for TP scroll. If you can farm a 6th item in the range of 3000 gold, go ahead and do it with the thought of your team so items like Force Staff, Cyclone Stick, would be appreciated by them.

what items would you guys suggest for this hero

madness maybe?

i think it deals 35% of opponents max health as mixed damage. So for example opponent has 1000 hp, it will deal 350 mixed damage before reductions. pls correct me if i am wrong.

714 By sewingmachine 2011-06-13

35% of target max HP is before magic resistance and armor.i'm pretty sure it deals mixed damage so its not instakill per se,just if his HP is so low,it will indeed instakill him.

now i'm confusing myself.

713 By EtherStrike 2011-06-13

Sorry for the double =x

712 By EtherStrike 2011-06-13

Question: His ulti says ''deals 35% of targets max HP''. That means, any enemy with 35% less HP that takes the damage from Earth Splitter will be instakilled?

710 By mikzme3x 2011-04-29

@708 its not a stun, enemies hit are "unconscious" until they take damage from heroes

709 By mikzme3x 2011-04-29

@707708 uhm, disabled units by ET gets awakened by hero damage sources and that includes the damage after the ES implodes so no damage while waiting for it to make units tumble.
