In the barren-lands, tales spoke of tauren sages reaping the essence of dirt. Their consciousness melds with the brown beneath them. The loam becomes the conduit of their mental thought and reality. These warriors were feared for they could summon massive ruptures at their mere whim. So tremendous was their power that their magic leaks out of the earth violently with every spell. Sadly these sages mysteriously faded from the land. When the World Tree was threatened, couriers searched these mighty ones but found just one. A young adept, Raigor Stonehoof, seeks battle to weave new tales of these shamans.

@529: Getting Raigor damage items is 100%, certifiably useless. With an Agility of 12 (+ 1.4 a level), your attack speed sucks. Don't boost an area of weakness.

Your effectiveness comes from your massive stunning combo, and I don't get how you dismiss Guinsoo as "just hex the enemy". That's an incredibly powerful 3.5 second disable that's much more useful to your team than an Earthshaker dealing a bit of increased damage.

He's a caster, play him as such.

531 By chaosfreak11 2010-01-02

Well he has Enchant Totem for stun and dmage so guinsoo is viable. Don't underestimate that skill, it can give +100 damage

its just my opinion...

Guys,i was just wondering,y buy a guinsoo 4 earthshaker?I know this guy has a clear mana prob but i dun think guinsoo is the good item 4 him..i think this guy should be focused about his damage and survivability.To me,how can a str hero has lots of mana but low on damage?like guinsoo,that didnt gave the enemy some damages or increasing its damage,just adding this guys mana n just hex the enemy..from buying the mystic staff which cost 2700,i think it would be better 2 buy the blink dagger.j

the enchant totem is also handy for pushing towers

@frost-viper
that's a mouthful 0.0

You need one enchant totem... not for the damage but mainly to activate the stun from aftershock.

Bracers are alot cheaper than a vanguard so that would be better or you could go for a bloodstone.

You're also missing out his early core item which is arcane ring or if there aren't much gankers then a bottle.

I don't play es but i am pretty sure people max the totem before stats. 200% damage is nothing to laugh about and it can be done twice... activate it blink spam skills hit enchant hit.

Lane Choices: The Earthshaker works marvelously with allies, and First Bloods are possible against tenacious opponents that do not realize the full power of Fissure. Fissure may seem relatively harmless at Level 1, but blocking an opponent in near your tower will spell sure death, especially with an ally beating on him as well. Earthshaker also is unable to handle most 1v2 and 1v1 lanes because of his lack of range. Head to the top or middle lane for Sentinel, or the bottom or middle lane for Scourge so that you can use the secret shop with ease to get your Ring of Health.

2. Vanguard is the best upgrade to Ring of Health for the Earthshaker, and helps him to be able to Blink into the middle of a bunch of opponents without being absolutely slaughtered.

Necronmicon on Earthshaker? The Earthshaker has a clear mana problem, with an extremely powerful long-ranged nuke that he wants to spam every time it is up, as well as an expensive 3 spell combo. The main power of Fissure comes in its ability to block opponents in, and this is discussed at length in most Earthshaker guides, so I will not go into detail here; suffice it to say, though, that you want to have plenty of mana to cast that Fissure as many times as needed. He also needs mana to support his Blink Dagger. Thus, a mana item is needed. Most people instinctively turn to Eul's Scepter of Divinity, and while that item is not terrible on the Earthshaker, Necronmicon is, in my opinion, far superior. In addition to providing all the mana he needs, the Necronmicon summons are given plenty of time to beat his opponents to oblivion during his extremely long combo's stun time of 4.75 seconds. The extra Strength is also a great bonus, and Necronmicon is also a great support item for his teammates. Increasing their attack and movement speed, burning away mana from threatening Heroes with low mana pools, and eventually providing Truesight, Necronmicon is a great all-around item. Necronmicon is further strengthened by Blink Dagger, because your opponents won't see you and your Necronmicon buddies coming from a mile away.

One Level of Enchant Totem at Level 10, then nothing afterwards. Though it may be tempting to get that first Level of Enchant Totem at Level 4 to give you a Fissure/Aftershock+Enchant Totem/Aftershock+Echo Slam/Aftershock combo, you will actually stun for longer and do more damage with that combo just by simply having Level 2 Aftershock. Instead of three stuns at .3 seconds and 25 damage each, you get two stuns at .7 seconds and 45 damage each, for a total of a whole .5 second long stun and 15 more damage!Attribute Bonuses are chosen over the remaining levels of Enchant Totem because Enchant Totem just isn't worth much other than a stun from Aftershock.
