Master of light and mana manipulation, Ezalor was once viewed as a scholar, and was regarded as a powerful mentor to many. However, his defection and betrayal of his allies during the War of the Magi caused him to be sentenced to banishment to the spirit realm for all of eternity. However, knowing of his tremendous power, the Sentinel granted him a corporeal form within the physical realm in exchange for his alliance against the Scourge onslaught. As such, Ezalor carries his duties of supporting his comrades valiantly despite the treacherous past that most know little about.
Illuminate Illuminate (T)
Channels a ball of positive energy, letting it build up 100 damage per second. When released, it damages all enemies in a line. The distance also improves with channeling time.
Level 1 - Channels up to 200 damage and 800 range.
Level 2 - Channels up to 300 damage and 800 range.
Level 3 - Channels up to 400 damage and 800 range.
Level 4 - Channels up to 500 damage and 800 range.
Damage type: magical
Illuminate gives increasing vision of the target area as it is channeled.
Can damage Meat Wagons and Glaive Throwers.
Mana Cost: 150
Cooldown: 10 seconds

Mana Leak Mana Leak (E)
Weakens the bond between the physical and magical essences of an enemy. The magical and physical essences will be divided if the target moves, causing the enemy to lose some of their mana. If the enemy loses all of its mana, it will be paralyzed while the bond is repaired.
Level 1 - Lasts 4 seconds, Drains 3.5% of max mana per 100 units the target moves. If the mana pool of the target is depleted, stuns the hero for 1.25 seconds.
Level 2 - Lasts 5 seconds, Drains 4% of max mana per 100 units the target moves. If the mana pool of the target is depleted, stuns the hero for 1.5 seconds.
Level 3 - Lasts 6 seconds, Drains 4.5% of max mana per 100 units the target moves. If the mana pool of the target is depleted, stuns the hero for 1.75 seconds.
Level 4 - Lasts 7 seconds, Drains 5% of max mana per 100 units the target moves. If the mana pool of the target is depleted, stuns the hero for 2 seconds.
Mana Leak cast range (550/700/850/1000)
Mana Cost: 75
Cooldown: 18 seconds
Chakra Magic Chakra Magic (C)
Channels chakras through a friendly unit, creating a surge of mana.
Level 1 - Restores 75 mana
Level 2 - Restores 150 mana

Spirit Form Spirit Form (F)
Ezalor turns his body luminescent temporarily. His mastery of the light becomes so powerful that he can freely cast Illuminate without channeling, cast a brilliant light that blinds foes, and a teleport allies from anywhere to his side at light speed. Morphs into a new unit for 40 seconds.

waste their clarity pots, if they have any, and make them decide to stay in a lane mana-less or go back and watch your carry get uncontested creep kills. Longer cast range allows him to harass the opponents' mana pool more safely than casting a few more seconds with Illu with your butt exposed.

More levels of Illuminate= more push

With carry, push is detrimental since the carry becomes more vulnerable as he/she goes nearer to enemy territory and his farm is more or less delayed from Illu killing creeps.

If enemy is smart, they will try to avoid Illu range and still be within exp range. Or they could hide in the fog, and gank the bajabeers behind you.

Faster casting time means less time to expose your vulnerable casting. And higher levels of Mana Leak drain mana faster, making them

Only way to build this guy it Dagon and Dagger. Dagon for more burst and Blink to tp to unpassable terrain and tp your allies to it, then don't let them get TP from Courier if there even is one.

Enemy can deny last creep? Then the enemy should be hit with illu because they are waiting for their red creep to be denied. Month'rikely if the enemy is melee.If they're avoiding illu then its not likely tohappen

So I'm guessing it doesn't matter which skill you are gonna max first. Each skill has diff purposes. Mana leak early harass enemy's mana while Illu early harass enemy's HP

Both have good ideas but No Build Is Permanent,for instance,u are ezalor playing a lane with Tiny VS Batrider+antimage,how do you get lvls?i did

left illuminate at lvl 2 n got stats,me n tiny raped in that game n it was my first time building with leak,next time you are against Crystal Shredder n you have nessaj by your side,play with maxing the illuminate n getting chakra by its side,you support his mana problems n with some luck a reality rift chained to a 4 sec stun helps you landing your 5sec channeled illuminate,i usually max illuminate if teamed with a reliable stun(+3 sec),if my lane partner is a carry with aoe dmg (spec,davion,slithice,sf,storm....) i take illuminate 3 levels so 400 dmg leaves units with 150 hp giving them time to collect money,leak is better for when ur eemies are mana dependant or against blinkers as they wont stand in you illuminate,there is no rule for playing a hero,your mind should command you what to do in the situation

so, im guessing that leaving the enemy team's creeps all at 50 hp does not allow your enemy to deny 1 or 2 of them right? also, your carry wont be able to farm them since 2 hits from melee creeps will kill them too.

maxing mana leak earlier gives for a better laning. its safer to cast, and the duration increases. chakra magic getting to level 2 beffore illuminate and mana leak is self explanatory.

And also if you cast when the creeps are hitting each other, you have to time when your Illu will leave the creeps at near death and that means your carry's timing in last hitting is more or less screwed in MOST cases.

You will be taking that ranged creep for every Illu cast meaning you just denied your carry of another 40ish gold. After 2 minutes, that will roughly equate to 160-200 gold. And you won't be casting in advance since you're a sitting duck for your opponents.

Ezalor has superior MS than CM so skillshot nukes will more or less not hit him on average. It also allows him to not fall behind when his team retreats unlike CM. Mobility makes up for his squishiness.

I have to say that with him just sitting to Illuminate for 5s makes him say "KILL ME NOW OR FOREVER HOLD YOUR PEACE". Last I checked he is almost CM squishy, his ms is his only real survival outside of Spirit Form. He makes for a nice Pudge Hook with his FRESH MEAT.

Actually, no you're not taking carries farm. 1st skill does 500 damage. And creeps have 550 HP + 10 per few min. All you have to do is illuminate and let the carry get all the last hit. So there's no problem about it. Ranged creep still die but hey, that's just one creep.

Besides, max illuminate will also harass much better. 500 damage will hurt like hell.

no ezalor worth a damn would max illusminate over mana leak and chakra magic.
some ezalors keep illuminate at levels 1 or 2 btw.
that is because if you get it more than twice you will be taking the carries farm.

ezalor doesnt ruin farming for a carry btw.
ezalor can zone out using illuminate(doesnt hit the creeps, hits the heros)

or team him with a carry with AOE.
ezalor + spec, DK, morph, naga, etc...?
ezalor channels then the other hero uses their AOE skill. instant farm.

That would make Recall imbalanced. It already has a low cd so putting another buff on it would make it retarded.

A damage buff to Illuminate would do him justice - 220/330/440/550. Also Recall of a target receiving player based damage doesn't interrupt the ability.
