aside from orb effect weapons, avoid getting basher, mkb, and buriza... if you want dmg, stick to lothar's, butterfly, or radiance.

more like hearts and soulboosters than radiance.. youre choosing damage over life+damage...

i agree with the hearts and souls... it just depends on the situation when i'd want to get a radiance aside from massing life items.

you should have mentioned that ursa warrior is a range unit. so no battle fury and no orb effect(because of the fury swipes). i suggest lothars.

Nah, just mass Hearts, you should be able to kill your enemy in five Overpower attacks. :)

1 BoT, 4 HoT, 1 Soul booster... thats all u need. earthshock, run behind them, overpower, enrage.

Get treads, then lothars, then just keep buying hearts until the game ends. You will be monstrous. Try soloing roshan once you have 1 or 2.

uhhhmmm...ulfsaar is NOT THE WEAKEST HERO he has realy few weaknesses and he can pawn a 2000+ life hero with 3 hits in enrage form if he has:

2 tarasque
vanguard
power treads
daggers of escape for blink+COMBO
either AEIGIS, Battle Fury, Radiance, or whatever u like but as much as possible avoid orb effects as it cancels his third skil...

This is a great hero... I agree using 2 HoT, I consider the opponent if I am using this hero. Lothars would be the best item for this instead of Dagger of Escape. I usually use linken sphere if my opponents are int. type.

yep. he certainly is the best 1v1 hero. the closest hero to stopping him single-handedly is probably Balanar at night only.

drow ranger will take him out easily. klinkz outruns him and strafes as well with EoS will also get him. lina inverse would be. most rangers would need BoT and Blink dagger/lothars to take him out.

Enrage damage does not crit, and battlefury doesn't cause it to splash. Battlefury's cleave will actually do nothing at all for this hero.

I have tested in game, and it doesn't splash or crit. Yurnero's ulti (unless he is fast enough to make attacks in between) does not splash and neither does SA's backstab damage or SB's empowering haste damage.

i knew rikimarus blink strike obviously doesnt splash. Juggernauts ulti does splash, its the attacks in between that do though.

all u need here is Stygian Desolator... -5armor/hit for 5 seconds...
Using your ulti and at minimum 400IAS, you'll be on your 4th hit in 2-3 seconds, so by your fifth hit he's already at -20 armor...and by your 5th hit your damage is also stacking... ownage. add assault cuirrass

every hit u do doesnt -armour. its the same. just resets the 5 second time

he doesnt push well enuf..

loses to jahrakal one on one. ursa has the upper hand early to mid but since one on one games usually go the distance, endgame he just gets pwned. by the time jahrakal gets a lothars and a basher, its game over.

Ulfsaar is a late game hero.... At late game people will have similar builds as, PT, 2 HoTS, 2 Bashers, Butterfly.

His health is above 5k at late game and 8% of that is dealt to the enemy = additional 625 per strike (base and item damage not included). Not to mention you got permabash with overpower activated and a slowing skill aftawards to chase, earthshock.

Ursa is shit at early/mid game because of the low hp, low base, his skills are only good for farming and harassing at earlygame.

well, u probably haven't. come into consideration that a player must also check and plan out his strategy against the enemy heros. don't judge a game if it hasn't even begun. Try fightin ulsaar pros and see if you even get a chance to reach a basher....

Ursa is weak early game hero because he really cant do much without all his abilities + blink. But when he gains about lvl 14 and blink he becomes killing machine. blink is in my exp better than lothars mainly because is cheaper and enemy can buy gem.Than "just" buy 2-3 HOTs and by the time u do so game will be over.
Playing with ursa is very easy.If u are lvl >12 and have blink, just turn on your ulti, tour on overpower, blink near target, slam the ground with your earthshock and strike him(ofc)he will just melt :P.
The greatest use for ursa in 5vs5 is that he can very, very fast kill ONE hero, so if enemy team have some great support, disabler or nuker with low hp(fletcher , chen, silencer etc.) just send ursa :P to very quickly kill him and prevent enemy team from gaining 650 hp heal(chen with mekansm)or yours receiving sick crits from fletcher...

i think they've changed ursa from ranged to melee.

i tested vlads and bfury on him and it makes him pretty sick. heart is basically +1000 to life and 6% of that is 60 damage, yet bfury adds 65

Ufsaar is one of the best melee hero and can inflict huge damage in no time...lorthar is a MUST cause it has no disabler to use for escaping and you can also use lorthar to surprise your enemy specially to the heroes who does not have much hp.I prepare these items:

1.HoT 2x
2.Lorthars Edge
3.Assault Caurass
4.Battle Fury
5.If 1 on 1 i suggest PT.

Ulfsaar/Fuzzy Wuzzy rivals Naix in hero killing. Many people don't understand that when you get first blood or a kill in your lane, your levels progress much faster and farming becomes a lot easier, due to Fury Swipes and Overpower. He also has mid-game advantage because of his ability to destroy Roshan as early as level 11.

Also, if the opposing hero tries to take Ulfsaar, they ARE in trouble. Fury Swipes stacks damage indefinitely, meaning there's no limit to how much damage can be stacked. I believe Ulfsaar is a quite powerful melee hero. Once you have at least 2 HoTs, then not many heroes can stand up to you. I'd work towards a butterfly, a blink dagger, and maybe a basher or two...(I'm not sure if its an orb effect, correct me if I'm wrong.) I also start with Power Treads and Yasha with pots in a 1v1 game.

If a hero is at full health, it's STILL easy for Ulfy to get first blood.

I skip lvling ult at 11 because 4% of your low HP does around 10 damage less than 5% does, and you'd benefit from more slow, attack speed, or fury swipes over 1% of lousy extra damage lol.

Before You obtain real physical damage, you don't have to worry about blademail returns. AND also, you would just leech the life back if u had vlads.

its not 5%, its 6% and it deals around 80 more damage assumin u dont hav any health/strength items

buy mass HOTs for ursa
each HOT adds 1 k hp and 60 bonus damage if u are enraged + hp regen.

How do I use Ursa? What abilities in what order? Also when people see me they run away. Should I buy guinsoo? They always manage to outrun me.

if ur slow, just by powertreads, yasha and lothars. lothars grants u improved movement speed when ur invisible.
my skill build is at max earthshock and fury swipes asap (also get ulti wheneva possible), then overpower. the only reason why i dont max overpower early is becos it has the longest cooldown and ursa doesnt have enough mana for both earthshock and overpower (overpower affects ulti and fury swipes anyway)

earthshock is a waste of mana early game thats why i dont max it until i max over and swipes

earthshock is ur only escape skill u can use. and overpower uses the same amount of mana at lvl 4

for me ursa is one of the best hero in the dota coz imagine he can decrease ur life just in few hits,and he no nid using so many mana even untill 25 lvl

hmm has any 1 tryed a refresher?> i mean battle fury pared with 3 casts of overpower = craploads of damage - check out the maths - using arathmatic series for battle furry = 24+2*24+3*24+4*24.... +15*24 = 2880 dmg just from battle fury - compared 2 just 2 uses of over power producing = 1320 - somone give it a go - im interested to see if it would work out well

Try equipping him with power threads, lothar's edge, S&Y, butterfly and vanguard. higher hp can improve the damage of your enrage.

Evasion based Panda can render his hits, moot...and Pudge's abnormally high health, despite Fury Swipes, can make him tough to kill.

Ulfsaar is a very cool hero, for me, cuz he can kill an enemy hero with full HP in less than 5 seconds(the fasstest one was 2 actually)

Try getting two hearts (for ur last skill... duh) and a lothars edge/ kellens dagger of escape (so u dont have to chase them around when they're running away from u... just blink or go invisible then...SURPRISE!!!)

P.S. dont get any orb effect item for this guy like satanic, skadi, deso,S and Y, etc.... cuz if u do, u wont get to use ur third skill anymore... U NEED FURY SWIPES NO MATTER WHAT!!! cuz if u take that out ull have a longer time killing someone and the someone u wer killing wouldn't have a gory death anymore (cuz if u have ur third skill and when u kill someone he'll EXPLODE(literally)... and its very cool when u see ur enemies explode)

If u follow some of the things i said u'll be very surprised at the end of the game bacuz u owned them all like hell and shit put together

Remember what i said in the last comment about getting a lothars edge or a kellens dagger of escape... i would strongly suggest a kellends instead cuz lothars is easy to counter now a days. when u see ur enemy's inventory and he has a lothars then buy a gem of true sight, its that simple...

But if u buy kellens...
then life would be easier for u to kill someone cuz all u have to do is hide in sum bunches of trees then cast ur overpower and enrage then blink near the one u wanted to kill then... SURPRISE!!! BAM!!! KABOOM!!! u get the kill........

Plus kellens is a very handy item cuz u can blink in and out of trouble. and when its 5 vs 5, im sure everybody would like to get a kill... so that means everybody is so damn GREEDY(LIKE ME!) so get a kellens and just kill everyone who runs away with a low HP...

It was a bot. ANyhow, I guess the map maker wanted to add some humpr. It is the last official AI release, not the + one.

This is the only hero that can solo roshan at vlv 8. Just make sure u have Vladimir's and Overpower is lvl 3 Fury swipes 3 and 1 lvl ulti.

vladmirs makes this hero too powerful when in sync with Enrage and Fury Swipes. if he attacks with full health, he will literally never lose any health unless disabled

Ulfy's Enrage gives you a second hit with every strike. You'll notice by the way he swings his claws. That second hit carries all the bonus damage. It won't pop up obviously like Silencer's Glaives of Wisdom.

And his damage is calculated from REMAINING life, which is the common mistake I see with most Ulfy players.

Why treads? Ulfsaar doesnt need IAS, hes got 400% (usable twice in quick succession = 10 attacks = plenty to kill anyone).

If you get BoT on this guy early enough you can ensure most heroes don't escape from you. Since you are faster (310 base MS) you'll attack and catch up to your prey very quickly. With treads theres a good chance you will never catch an enemy hero. Getting BoT basically means you also don't have to get earthshock, the slow is completely unneeded and the 220 damage from it is pitiful, just attack twice... Theres only a small handful of heroes you'd need earthshock for, like Razor, Balanar (at night), and Lycan... Heroes with high MS abilities. And in this case earthshock's 4 second slow probably wont even give you sufficient time to finish str heroes like balanar or lycan... The rest all you do is chase them around and quickly make work of them.

no man, i mean "no need for skills like stun, slow, etc for both heroes". just think about his third skill, after 100 consecutive strikes it deals 2400 bonus damage per strike, it's about 10 divine rapiers, witch no hero can carry. that's why this guy can have the most devastating damage per strike in DoTA

Just focus on his hp coz das where his damage is based. Armor and anti-magic items should also be there. No need for agi type items coz 400% attack speed is too much for this beast. Blink Dagger is also a must for ulfsaar.

This is THE ONLY hero who can kill the Invoker (6.49)WITHOUT ANY CHEATS. Tried it myself. That's coz of his Fury Swipes... it doesn't have a stack limit, so the damage INFINITELY gets bigger by 24 with each attack. Although it does take a while...

My typical build for him:

1)2 braces (the 2nd one will save your ass from early-game nukers,trust me)
2)PT
3)Vladmir's (vlad is NOT orb effect,so it stacks with swipes)
4)butterfly
5)HoT

If the game isn't over by now (which doesn't make much sense,since you should own by now ) - get a hyperstone or another HoT

All you need is PT, Vanguard, HOT and the blink. That's all you need. At lvl 11 you can kill roshan with just vanguard. After you've got all the items you need boost your hp. You don't need dmg cause your last skill will do the killing for you.. Then if you want to boost your attack speed buy butterfly but for me i'd go for another HOT. Use this combo cast your enrage the overpower then blink near an enemy then stun and he's a goner.

keyvin0923 #179 made the most sense of all about this hero . I prefer 2 HOT a vanguard and last butterfly

I was in a game the otherday, and I randomed everybodys favourite teddy bear.

This particular game draged on for so long that I managed to get these items:

+Bot for my team mate, several buybacks and i ended the game with over 6k in the bank.

The started as 5v5 but ended 3v3.

-->u need start making bracer and vanguard TIP:start making a lot of traps, this hero start very bad in midway, because is more dificult to make traps in mid.

OBS: SEY is good to train whit the hero, is most recommended to noobies peaple, beacause u don't need a trap to kill whith sey, but has games that sey is very well

#1 Dont buy any orb effect items for ulfsaar because your really need his fury swipes skill...
#2 Dont buy buriza, MKB or basher because they cancels your fury swipes when it crits or stuns the enemy...
#3 Dont buy power threads because you have overpower already and ulfsaars attackspeed isnt a problem. What you need is boots of travel so you can catch up to the speed of your enemy...
#4 Dont buy to many hearts. It may help for the enrage but too many wont get you anywhere... if i were you, just buy one heart and 2 vanguards so you can block most of the attacks that the enemy gives you. if you have vanguard on, it gives them a hard time damaging you...
#5 Be sure to buy lothars and vladmirs first. you need them to kill and stay alive...

And now i just do this: ulti + overpower -> windwalk, sneak up behind someone and u got a kill..

4; heart heart heart, u dont need any dmg items since after using your overpower u get like 100 bonus dmg anyways.. that just stacks, i could go for vladimir sometimes, if i wanna kill roshan.. :> No hate!

you are just a nob, this hero is 1 of d best in dota if u play wisely.this hero is one of the strongest hero, just try these items, 1-power tread 2-vladimir (a must have item, that you will feel it's effect in the game) 3-hood of defiance (if you play in team this will help you reduce the magic damage as you have to be in the middle of battle) 4-yasha this will give you some as & ms which you need for chassing 5-hot 5-if u got enough money gor for butterfly - u have won, if not .

This monster owns anyone,anywhere,anytime even the likes of troll, void, PA and others his the MAN.

This hero is kinda loner, coz he can be easily KSed by lion or lina or someone with dagon. But he's good in hunting those farming with neutral creeps. In mid or late game when the towers are gone, watch out for Ulf! Ulf is a chaser and can cut off town portal. Just a tip, I prefer butterfly (for agi) than SnY (orb effect). The best partner for Ulf is Traxex(slow) specially in the early game when everyone's life is still low. I think Ulf is better than Bristleback, isnt he? watduyutink?

by the way this info about ulsar is pretty old, as his strength gain is 2.9 not 2.3 per level. you know what is 2.9? his base armor is 5 not 4. his base strength is 23 not 21 so his base hp is 587, his base int is 16 not 14 and the enrage is 4,5,6 percent of his current life will be dealt in damage.
you dont ever need to put any strength item on this guy just agility and some defense,

Go for treads first, then vlads as soon as possible. As soon as you have both of these, roshan is ur food.

SnY is good because of the mixed attribute gains and the bonus movespeed. The orb is useless because u have fury swipes, but u wont need it.

HoT for plenty of regen and hp.

BKB for those who like to disable.
Linken's is much the same with better stats.

Lothars is a must for killing heroes in less than 3 seconds.
