played him and dominated... refresher orb is a must. basher and butterfly combo well advised. otherwise satanic with butterfly.

i got him in AREM btw.

im a noob, and my frnd always pawns me with skeleton king, does skeleton king have any weaknesses? if i use doom on doombringer as a finishing move, will skeleton king be able to reincarnate???

yes leoric will die with doom cuz reincarnation doesn't work when silenced. doom = silence + dmg/s

rikimaru, just as he is about to die, smokescreen and his ulti is silenced too. abbadon will be good because his ulti will keep him alive a bit longer and faceless void, the moment that bugger comes back to life, ulti him, deal as much damage as possible, if u hav a refresher, do it again sure death

i go BoT, 2 bashers, 2 hyperstones, and satanic....you get back over 100 hp every hit and perma stun when you add in the storm bolt....arcane ring is good early game but sell it late game because your mana pool is big enough....923 at level 25

great hero just have 2 watch out for silencers, magina and practically anyone with diffusal

A cheap and effective way to play leoric:
1)Vladimirs offering(stacks with ur vamp aura)
2)treads(allows you to keep up with faster herosand have a quicker atk speed so u can deal more criticals and recover more hp via ur aura)
3)Arcane[good for instant mana to reincarnate early game]
4)blade mail (2x if u want sell the ring)
5)Aegis(from roshan at lvl 16 unless ur good with skeloton)
6)Divine rapier

lets think.... Dual reincarnation, 2 blade mails returning 40% of ur enemys atk, u with vladimirs offering and ur aura 36% lifesteal, and divine rapier protected by 2x Reincarnation +250 dmg and a 2.75 critical strike lets see thats 688 dmg roughly, and ur lifesteal is 36% thats about 265 life u gained back IN ONE HIT!

i find this build works pretty well and I taught my friend to play using this build he got a dominating streak in his second game.

Hmmm… try this item build since this is the first time I will use this hero but what item build I need to use first on early game….

only get refresher in late game though because early game he doesn't have enough mana

Well, there are a lot of heroes that can silence, none as long as Doom, actually one...but here are some ones I know.
Notrtom Silencer=Obivious
Blood Seeker=Blood Rage, although extra damage on SK is not a sight to see
Krobelus=Silence for 6 seconds
Traxex=Same.

doom silences ya nub . when hes lvl 6 though, he doesnt hav enough mana for u to be able to cast storm bolt, then reincarnate so u got to be careful or buy a ring of basilus

No need to use buriza. He comes with crit.
No need to use refresher if you arent suicidal. Stormbolts ridiculous cooldown prevents runners as well as the occasional sange proc. possible late game : assault carapace, radiance

Doom doesn't silence skeleton kings ulti (reincarnation). It should do that.. But it doesn't work. Try it

something that increases mana capacity/regen in early game is good, he needs it. like Ring of Basilus, but the mana cap still isnt big enough to reincarnate and stormbolt at lvl 6

haha i saw something interesting - a team mate got SK and had treads, 2 crystalis, heart, MoM, and upgraded both crystalis to buriza. when he had buriza, crystalis, and crit strike, he actually was getting more than 1 crit at a time, sometimes even 3.

magina & anub arak can easily pawn Leoric and silince is not the only answer to that freakin reincarnation.

endgame build:

MKB attackspeed + stops channeling spells
S&Y maim

if sk is late game and have HOT or radiance or any other items dat makes him killing machine is hard to bring him down plus reincarnation which bring him back to live again also he had vampiric aura dats gain 25% of his attack damage at level 4 if he had high attack damge he would gain his life from it. only way to stop him is get rid of his mana, IF HE is still silent he can still use his reincarantion. slient only works for skills dat u have to press on hot key. so if u want to bring him down u should get DIFFUSAL BLADE or use antimage to stop him. also doom dosent slient him u should look at mana bar fist when u got silent ur probaly use storm bolt too many time dats y you think u die or look at cool down time because reincarnation is atuomaticlly use if u die u dont have to press r to use it. everytime i played dis hero i would look at mana bar first and everytime after i use storm bolt if i have enough mana to use for reincarnation.

This hero is THE ULTIMATE TANK. I recommend skadi or sny for killing (for chasing stun is ont 2 secs not good chasing) they both give hp. If you give him hearts he is the ultimate tank. 4000 hp + recarn = 800hp + Full mana

uhhh... ur item build is not very right.
wheres vladmirs? with the vampiric aura, it makes him so tankish.
SnY wont work with Satanic, not the orb effect anyway, like u really want Maim anyway.
the critical from buriza doesnt stack, just increases ur chances of scoring a crit (roll dice, if it dont crit, roll again as many times as there is buriza/crystalis)
not to mention that ur item build is over 40k

NA will beat SK at early game, but at late game, with the right build, u could beat NA.
get a clarity potion at early game then, that way if ur about to die, clarity potion, flee and if u actually do die, u will reincarnate. (or farm some weak neutrals, ur vampiric aura will heal u pretty fast)

vampiric aura is a team item, dont just think about urself and think that a satanic is enough. would u rather win with a successful push or would u rather get some kills but lose the game?

a critical that deals 4-5 thousand is an instant kill for all non-strength heroes that dont tank up. i seriously doubt that Icefrog would make it that strong.

By far one of the best tanks in the game, great team player. Nearly impossible to kill late game if played correctly.

The game has never gotten farther than that.

if u tank him, he will never die.
if u make him an ownage hero with divine rapiers, etc, he will leave himself too vulnerable to ganks. reincarnation can be a double edge sword, cos afta someone has killed u, the team usually waits around to get the kill successfully.
a satanic will provide sufficient health and damage, then u want to get an MKB to increase the damage more.

I always choose to tank him-he is a STR hero so making him a tank gives him a huge damage as well

um i think skeleton king's crit is wrong... shouldnt his crit be like x2.75 at lvl 4 and for the other lvlvs

You generally tend to think he's the PERFECT hero in terms of overall survivability, with his nifty stun, lifesteal and especially his ulti. But then, along comes Magina and Anub'arak... and your mana then gets depleted befo' ya can say 'WTF???'...

paired with sven no cance 2 survive 4 the enemys.he is totally unkillable 4 the Bloodseeker;) until BS does 700+ per hit.with he is simply the tank in dota(better than the warchief)best item is heart=+1000hps and with his ulti=2000hp_lol PS:buy him an arcane ring 2 spamm ur hammer.

I used him for the first time yesterday, played -ar with a friend. I really didnt know what to do. I bought power treads, crainium basher and yasha. We had a race to 3 falls match up so that was all I could manage.

do any of you think I should use a mask of madness with SK? I mean, does that stack with his aura?

I just played 1vs.1 against centaur warchief and owned... He had 2 blade mails+return skill but still i could hit him without losing life. Here's the build:

Early Game:
Vanguard, Treads

Mid Game:
MoM, basher, hyperstone

Late game:
another basher, change vanguard with Heart of Tarasque

With this build you get permastun when MoM is on and with the critting ability you are deadly...
Very fun build because everyone can build something with MKB and buriza and get alot of dmg+crit, but with this one you get the permastun and you have the MoM to take care of. My K/D: 7/0. This was against CENTAUR WARCHIEF!!!! he had 4,5k-life at late game, but he couldnt escape my permastun, and if he got lucky i just cached up with the stun-hammer-skill.Try it out and see what you think.

His new hammer is a flaming ball of hellfire! Anyways for the ultimate tank try this: treads, vlads, satanic, battlefury, heart, and armlet. My cleave with this build killed a sniper in a few seconds. The only problem with this build is how expensive it is.

There is no storm bolt anymore. It is repleced by Helfire Blast. Looks like a ball of flame. It has the same mana, damage and cooldown as storm blot

You either hit your own crit or the buriza's crit making you deadly on attack.

Then....The satanic gives you additional aspd and Lifesteal.

HoT, Makes you tank as you already look tank you need to be tank.

BoT because already the game will be over....
