Hey, can some one please paste a IMBA strategy for Faceless void?

saw this last night, took out sandking with 3 hearts(long ass very close lan game no noobs) and radiance. void had two bashers *+bash ability* and two hyperstones..permastun

power trends, basher 2x, hyperstone 2x. linken
optional: change one hyperstone into a butterfly, change power trends into a boots of travel, linken into a mask of madness

one of the most powerful heroes i've seen is darkterror. chronosphere!!!

i don think this hero are the most strongest..even got permastun..
if u fight centaur that have 4-5k Hp with lvl 4 counter root(60 damage) and blade mail that can counter 20% damage..u like suicide ur self..
all hero have weakness..

GOD DAMN GOOD! only person who could probably withstand his ulti is someone like nerubian weaver (her ulti sets time back by 5 secs and she can flee with her invisibility too), rikimaru (doesnt matter if u freeze him if u cant see him) and abbadon (his ulti will prevent him from dyin during those seconds)

chronosphere actually stops the healing fountain from attacking

Chronosphere is good but it only covers a short space and has a LARGE cooldown

lvl 3 is all the time u need to kill a hero, they cant flee from u in battle. and buy a refresher orb if u wana do 2 in quick succession. timewalk for one fleein enemy and ulti if needed u gotta be extrememly n00b if u cant flee or gank someone while usin ulti.

Squid head is my most hated hero, really annoying .
Ultimate sets up for ganks really well. The only thing stopping this guy is a well coordinated attack with another teammate as backup. Sheepstick needed against this guy.

the best late game hero
hate when u goin against cuz practically no one can kill him when he lv 25

gank this hero with a group of hero's from ur team as bait and when he has them in chronosphere get ur skeleton king to run out and storm bolt him through the edge (without crossing over) this stuns him and deactivates the chronosphere leaving him against 4 or 5 heores witht he only choice of time walking away. Also ranged heores such as sniper can also create havok for this guy as he waits until chronosphere starts comes out and shoots him doing little stuns from headshot occasionally that stop him from killing teammates and he can't escape till chronosphere is over so if u are a half decent player u could probly kill him using his ability to do it as time walk won't get him out of it. ROFL whilst other guy is going WTF.

mask of madness, treads, MKB, butterfly and ul own them. any hero. for anti mage build linken wud b fud or even BKB.

such a great character. he's got a spell for ambushing/escaping, a skill for defence, a pretty damn good disable ult, and the potential to do perma stunn. PERMA STUNN ROCKS

I like the Void with treads and the equipment to maximize the time inside the chronosphere: Diffusal(after some seconds theres no mana for enemie heroes to escape), Stygian(thats a lot of damage), cranium basher, hyperstone, and... radiance,refresher?
If the enemy heroe escapes after the chronosphere you still can purge him and then time walk to him then purge again and time walk, no one resists that.

I was playing along side a friend of mine last night, I was LOA and he was Faceless Void of course. He started off slow, but got a MoM, and then to my suprise got a refresher orb. I was like what? BOY that paid off huge when chronosphere was level 3. We are talking 12 secs of stunning, and to use MoM twice. He was owning.

Cronosphere a group of enemies and have your ally Sand King epicenter+blink inside.

If you use cronosphere in a team battle and your allies aren't attacking the enemies inside it (i.e. they are inside it) then you have failed at life and should never play void again. Be very careful you don't use cronosphere while certain stuns are being done. If you cronosphere just after leviathan ults, they will all be invulnerable =[

I played him yesterday in a 4v4 LAN game... At start, i mass ironwood and tangos... then get my mask of death and went neutrals... After i got MoM, Treads and a Bracer, WTF, KILLING SPREE!!! Then I get Butterfly, 1 Basher and a Hyperstone, and went BEYOND GODLIKE...

When the witch doctor is channeling his death ward, and an ally faceless void comes to Chronosphere, can vol'jin still continue to channel his ward?

Uhmm...I think... NO... Chrono PAUSES EVERYTHING!!! Even the Well Of Life...

no chronosphere doesnt stop the fountain of life, ive tried it, and i got killed =.="

I really have trouble farming with this hero.

once u get to lvl 6 though, dont even bother farming anymore. kill the enemy, u usually will win.

very stupid is to walk into chronosphere.
chronosphere is very good skill. late game when other team is pushing all together then just cast chronosphere so that they all get trapped and your ranged allies kill them. you get at least 1 kill too.
MoM is very good item for him

what happens if you have S&Y and 2 bashers ???

My Favourite late game KILLER! HOLY SHIT! this fella's just pure sick... his backtrack is amazing...
Just yesterday... i random'd void in a 5on5 game at a nearby cc. Bloody hard game. I had twice triple kills a lot of double kills. eheeheheh! i triple killd omniknight mercurial n bristleback wit a butterfly, battlefury, assault cuirass, heart n obviously boots.
but due to 4noob teamates leaving the game i lost! =s took all 5 of them to kill me. btw 3 of them died.

It's quite easy to play with this fellow...Just don't take backtrack,but bash and that blink strike thing(timetravel or whatever),and freeze the enemy with your ultimate...As for the items,get sange&yasha,buriza and power treads...

saw early post about freezing rikimiru and how you cant see him. Actually if he is visible when you cast you can see him and since you wouldn't cast it unless you know he is there which means you could see him so either way he is screwed. Or if you think he is nearbye just freeze and plant a ward or get a gem doesn't matter.

People are saying Rikimaru stays invisible when hes in Chronosphere. If Rikimaru is starting to fade and you Chronosphere, you can attack him.

Btw, lots of people get Refresher for this guy... The mana is only 515 (Chrono, Refresh, Chrono) plus you get 150% mana regen from Refresher.

Treant, Faceless Void and Witch Doctor Combo. 12 second hold + 9 second ward. Overkill.

Faceless void is a total chump that was thrown into the map just so the scourge could have an agility hero. He blows.

its weird how all u guys sayin hes some great hero and stuff... imba hero that needs to be deleted.. no agil hero needs passive bash and im tired of him dodging laguna blades and stuff (stop saying blademails to counter cause u can counter every melee hero with blademails its just that its a noobie thing to do)

if u get centuar 3 blademails and a single heart, assumin that he has boots, his damage wouldnt be very high and u would need a very good 6th item to deal adequate damage.

This hero is absolutely sick especially when equipped with Vanguard, 2 Bashers, MKB and S & Y . . . Your enemy will drown to eternal slumber . . . Pretty hard too just like Leviathan, my fave!

try refresher orb with this guy and instead of 6 sec of chrono, you'll have 12 sec of ass kickn. just an idea

NEVER get refresher... Get him MoM for aspd, Treads for ms and aspd, BKB is a must have for me, Buriz for crit, Butterfly for evasion aspd and damage, and get DIVINE!!! just dont be a full and die... Thats why u have BKB... or u can trade 1 of the items for aegis

most treant users get treat refresher, apart from melee heroes being unable to attack, why cant faceless get a refresher?

I think butterfly is usually bought for the attack speed...and as for your other question, I think you don't lose any backtrack from your spell or evasion from your butterfly-if you get what I mean...like you don't waste evasion from your passive spell or your item, there is a chance you'll evade from butterfly and from backtrack, but they don't stack--but remember backtrack can dodge magic, so it's really not wasted!

AHEM!!!!!!!!!! Butterfly's evasion STACK with backtrack... Butterfly does not stack with mortred's, gondar's and panda's evasion... Cause they only evade NORMAL attacks... Unlike darkterrors... And about the refresher, ITS A WASTE!!! GET ASPD ITEMS!!! THINK FIRST!!! TREANT IS USUALLY FOR SUPPORT!!! NOT A HERO KILLER!!!

Backtrack and butterfly's evasion doesn't "Stack" per se, they work hand in hand because they are different types of evasion. Butterfly causes an enemy to miss while BT will cause the damage to be restored.

What bout doombringer, skeleton king and antimage? (I was once antimage and beat a faceless void before, he chronosphered just as I blinked away)

Chronosphere so Doombringer doesnt get the chance to doom you. With bashers, mask of madness/manta style and butterfly u can secure the kill.
dont give SK the ability resurrect, just as he comes back alive, mana burn him so res doesnt get enough mana.
manaburn antimage as well, see how he likes it. cant blink away, cant use ulti.
he just burns away ur mana, u can rely on passive abilities like stun

Boots,mask of madness,buriza,boots of travel scroll,butterfly,linken's,+2 more butterfly if necessary. "Now thats one hell of a built for Faceless terror".

Faceless can take care of them just as lupeman wrote, but what about Tiny??
With the armor skill faceless get stun a few times, he could survive chronosfere, stun and run and if the faceless use time walk you can toss him away.
And Rikimaru get invisible inside chronosphere right? not sure about that but he would be another survivor

Almost all post have 1 or 2 basher on their build, i they dont is a real waste of money and play a long game just farming is really boring even if its easy to farm with the hero you pick.

ROFL you don't get bashers for a hero with a natural bash. Improve his IAS and he will bash more often and at the same time you're boosting his DPS. Bashers SUCK, the only two heroes I'd get them on are AM and Troll.

HAVE YOU GUYS SEEN WHAT THEY HAVE DONE TO VOID IN THE NEW VERSION??? OMG they have extremely weakend his ulti!! New ulti: 165sec cooldown lasts: 3,4,5 sec and have decreased its AoE a bit! :( poor void....

Pff enough noobish questions-depends on the item build, how many players there are on the map, etc; if you let him sneak upon you you're pretty much dead... if you should attack him if your hero is a disabler-yoo might just do the trick of killing the void...

I go : treads, basher, mom and butterfly

In my opinion the best and easiest hero when itemized right. Godlike in 1v1-situations.
Bash, evade, aoe-"stun" ulti and a survival skill that includes slow (timewalk).

My best build:
1) Bracer for the health
2-3) PT or MoM, just make sure you have MoM by lv6
4) Butterfly
5) Hyperstone
6) Assault cuirass
7) Replace bracer with anything you like, preferably survival item

Get your money from hero-killing rather than farming. The ultimate should guarantee you a free kill ever 2 min. Don't go basher, it doesn't stack and my build gives enough atk speed for stunlock.

this guy would be my fav hero in dota.. hes really not a hero for noobs coz of his low HP.. but if used right hes invinciple.. his backtrack is so awesome.. iv backtracked lich's ult and tide hunters ult both! i never knew it could backtrack ults!!
i agree with ztrapon.. u dont really need bashers for void tho.. 1st thing u should realy get is a treads MOM then wraith bands.. u can adjust ur treads now incase u need HP or agi.. which is why i suggest wraith bands after MOM
1 big advice i can give tho.. early game this guy sux rite.. so always let the enemy push back in ur lane.. let them always push 2 ur tower so u have the advantage.. if ur sentinel its wise u go bot lane.. if ur scourge go top (incase noobs reading this lol) and the best way 2 get 1st blood.. 1ce ur lvl 6 make sure u got enough mana for chrono and time walk.. 1ce ur oponent is near the tower.. as soon as the tower starts aiming for that hero.. u chrono him! AND MAKE SURE U DONT CHRONO THE TOWER TOO
my team m8 did that everytime 2day and i got so pissed off coz its real easy 2 feed off void in early game if hes noob..
now when uv chronoed him u got the tower atking him and if u got ur MOM that should be 1st blood.. incase hes stil alive.. u keep chasing him and time walk so that u should stil have ur MOM effect and hopefuly ul stun him and theres no reason he shouldnt be dead tht early in game..

I think has already been mentioned before, but I say it again. Do NOT get a MKB. MKB has 30% chance to deal bonus damage and stun for 0.01 seconds, right? If you stunned an opponent with your bash, he will be stunned for 1 second. If your next hit is a MKB hit, the previous stun will be overridden by the MKB stun.

One of my fave heroes of all time.... he has stunners and stoppers, escaping and chasing ability and has a good evasion skill... a well balanced hero... He Owns when he got the ryt item and also playah's good strategy.....

Dark Terror with bashers is so stupid. You're way better off using IAS and MoM, and other things that will help you in other ways. Perma stun isn't useful if you can't stay alive kthx to a nuke from an int ulti or whatnot.

Quite a nice build if you ask me. I usually land like 1-3 chain lightnings in a chrono which is like a huge amount of damage.

Why does the wisp of enchantress when activated does not affect by the chronosphere??? Is it a bug? that's unfair right? she's a fast healing machine...o damn... it's unfair specially it heals all nearby allies.. Can someone please ask me if it is considered as a bug?

by the way, for anyone that has anything against twin bashers, think this way. you time walk in and chrono right away. then you just keep hitting. he gets stunned again and again. cant even cast a single spell on you or run and he can probly only get like 2 attacks in if he tried attacking. so you dont really need items to keep you alive, but satanic does help if you dont have chrono.

every game i random him, i win, void is simply the most imba hero in dotA, better than phantom assassin, for all u ppl out there that say u can take out void easily, that void has to be totally noob cuz even if ur beating his squidlike head in he'll just time walk 20 feet over a cliff and beyond trees and ur like where he go? only 4 ppl in dotA that can withstand or kill him-Nightstalker his incredible speed and void attack will be faceless' end, bloodseeker, if void gets half hp left bs will chase and rupter him to death, spirit breaker..... no one can kill him and with chase it dont matter if void runs, and u can bash him back a couple feet but that depends how good that void is^^ and last one is tiny, tiny gots around 4k hp and his lovely skill will bash him practically every time he hits u^^ even then its all luck, best item set i found for him early is MoM-2 bracers-PT-Hyperstone-bloodstone... if ur allies suck hahaha, late game i would swap MoM for HoD and get Satanic-hyperstone x2-HoT so u dont die in three hits-butterfly always usefull for every agi hero-Pt or BoT depends wat u want cuz with time walk with 8 second cd u might not need BoT^^ but i always get PT anyways nice agility boost that is all and dang i posted a long comment ^^

One of the heroes I hate and I love much!!! This guy can change the flow of the game...you could win even you are losing. Power treads, Mask of Madness, Butterfly, MKB, buriza.Cuirass, HOT, battle fury, another Butterfly mkb, or buriza, options for last slot... But beware with enemies with blademail, it will hurt yourself. Dont face Nerubian assasin or Visage with blade mail 1-1; you will end up killing yourself...

I played Void for 1st time almost 2 years ago, and he always owned 1 of best permastun heroes. I play this set of items with him: power t+agi, mask of madness, s&y, hyperstone, butterfly, vanguard. U don't need maim orb cuz when u timewalk some1 u activate mask of madness and your -ms is just 2 high for anyone even balanar. He cant run he cant fight, he can just die You don't even need to use ulti only if u wan dk ;) surviver/combat item set-->lifesteal + perma stun. He owns

why would u use timewalk when u can use chronosphere? and i know refresher orb doesnt grant a mana pool, it grants 150% mana regen. ambush, chrono, mask of madness. (optional) use refresher if u hav witch doctor or rhasta on ur team. other than that, refresher is just a fun item afta uve farmed all ur items

Troll can buy bashers. Moreever, he can blind. with basher, Troll have about 23% chance of bashing and 10% is a 2second bash. You cant compare 2 heroes when 1 have an item and 1 dont.

Fv just need to buy bf and naga will be fucked up hard. One chrono will destroy naga and all the images

lol, dark terror won't farm as fast as naga since naga keeps harassing. once naga has diffusal, FV will farm even slower. He will lose out overall.

i play troll alot and always end up making a satanic with 2 bashers to boot. now say faceless void timewalks and chromospheres troll, all troll has to do is blind him straight after the chromosphere and then the satanic and bashers do the rest. void always, ALWAYS gets dominated by troll. no matter what.

You can't just say void gets dominated by troll,no matter what.With backtrack you wont be doing much hits yourself.Your right about blind with a 42% to miss on attacks thats very hard to hit.But not allot of players get blind early game!?I personally think if these two monsters were to vs each other void will always have the first hit, then after that you'll have your items and your skill build to see who wins.I never saw a Troll Warlord use a battle fury.I use that item on tank heroes only .

ill settle this argument. both faceless and troll can own each other if they get the same items and blind is backtracked. and never use timewalk to ambush unless its against a hero with half or less hp or big ass fight and the other team has half or less hp ( to help the team, also this way, chronosphere doesnt need to be used).

I think they should take out his move bash too rigged he doesnt even need more bashers bashers should also be taken out stun too long. and very rigged. no hero should have bash

Core items: MoM, Bfly, Buriza, BoT. Once you build up the core, chances are quite high you'll be ending the game all by yourself quickly. How??

Activate MoM before Timewalking up to/behind your enemy, hit him/her a few times then use Chrono and enemy gets killed. If you are against a low-healther you can activate Chrono direct after T-walking to them.

Now you have 2 more free item slots to fill depending on which opponents you're facing. I'd go Divine/Aegis.

In late game he Is Impossible 1 vs 1. Early/Mid almost anyone can take him out, best suited would be a nuker, i.e Lion.

Hex, then Manadrain and start harrasing. End it with a Stun+FoD.

Well Faceless got really screwed this version.
Having his str. gain nerfed to 1.4 from 2.2 is a bit extreme IMO.
I never saw Void as nothing else but an EM hero, but appearently Icefrog thought he needed a nerf.

Of course his str need to be nurfed, 2.2 for a str hero is the same as bm
also he has backtrack to avoid damage

chronosphere can stop towers attacking so it can probly stop the fountain but ul ndd lots of dmg to kill it cos it had so much it dusnt show it at the bottom. even 6 divine rapiers probly wouldnt b enuf

Troll vs. Void is sort of a lottery.
Who will bash 1st? Troll has blind which has a BIG range(about 800-1000) while Void has Time Walk and Chronosphere. BUT Troll has range attack and much bigger AS. If Void gets blinded by Troll he will probably lose because he cannot maintain the permabash(small AS).
Also when Troll goes from melee to range his bashers stay 15% chance! So I think Troll wins this dual but it ussualy depends who sees who first

Oh and the best counter for Void are cloners with Manta and Troll(duh). Phantom Lancer and Naga Siren can burn Void's mana in about 2 seconds (he can get hexed or whatever lasts more then 2 sec) so if he gets cloneblocked too the only spell he can cast is a prayer. Especialy for PL because when Void kills
one clone it will be replace almost instantly(juxtapoxe + phantom edge)

No, Faceless void 's Chronosphere does not prevent fountain from attacking. I tried it myself in -WTF Mode. Using Faceless void to destroy fountain is a suicide.

Rather than getting bashers on this guy, it makes so much more sense to just increase his attackspeed and evasion with butterfly and mkb at that point because when you're attacking that fast, you get all the bashes you need.

No MKB. MKB ministun cancels any previous bash. And as MKB's ministun chance is more than Void's Bash, it will reduce Void's permastun capability

This guy has been nerfted in his stren to 1.4, if I'm not getting wrong. Think you need to buy heart or something to improve his HP 1st...else quite hard to survive...

A nice little item build that I experimented with today is:

Treads
MoM
Stygian

Stygian gives you very nice dmg for quite a low amount of gold and when coupled with Berserk, you can really split faces.

However, make sure to smack Stygian in a higher slot than MoM because otherwise the lifesteal will override the Corruption.

Once you get enough, buy a Butterfly and break up MoM and make a Vlad's.
