Razor - The Lightning Revenant

Razor is lightning incarnate. It is a living being, capable only of unleashing its tremendous electrical power to anything and everything nearby. The only indication of sentience from it is its ability to control its surges, which never seems to actually strike any it would call friends. Like its namesake, it cuts to the bone, with speed and accuracy, sometimes jumping from one thing to another. Its unnatural form gives it speed, and a thirst for blood. It is a force to be reckoned with, and only the strong dare face it.

Plasma Field (F)
Razor releases a wave energetic plasma which grows in power as it extends outwards. Deals damage to units both on expansion and on contraction. The further the plasma is from razor the more energy it has.
Level 1 - Min damage 80. Max 140
Level 2 - Min damage 120. Max 210
Level 3 - Min damage 160. Max 280
Level 4 - Min damage 200. Max 350
Mana Cost: 125
Cooldown: 16 seconds

Static Link (C)
Taps into the energy of a target hero, creating a charged link between Razor and his foe. As long as this link is maintained, Razor will continue to steal damage from the target and adds it to his own. Drains up to 10 seconds. Bonus lasts 13 seconds after that.
Level 1 - 5 attack damage per second
Level 2 - 10 attack damage per second
Level 3 - 15 attack damage per second
Level 4 - 20 attack damage per second
• The link is broken when either unit dies, the distance between them becomes greater than 700, or when Razor loses sight of the targeted unit.
• If targeted on the ground, the link will travel in that direction, if an enemy hero comes within 225 range of it during this time, will be linked to Razor.
Mana Cost: 20/30/40/50
Cooldown: 45/40/35/30 seconds

Unstable Current (N)
Razor's very body is a constantly shifting miasma of dark energy. This unnatural state allows him to move with supernatural speed, and any foe foolish enough to launch a direct magical assault against him will have their boldness rewarded with a shock of purging electricity.
Level 1 - 3% movement, 40 damage
Level 2 - 6% movement, 60 damage
Level 3 - 9% movement, 80 damage
Level 4 - 12% movement, 100 damage
Mana Cost: N/A
Cooldown: N/A

Eye of the Storm (E)
The Lightning Revenant calls upon a powerful storm of crackling energy, which strikes weakened enemies with deadly bolts of lightning. The storm is charged with Razor's malevolent will, and will seek out only the most injured targets for its armor shattering blasts.
Level 1 - Deals 37.5 damage and reduces armor by 1 each strike. One strike each 0.85 seconds.
Level 2 - Deals 50 damage and reduces armor by 1 each strike. One strike each 0.75 seconds.
Level 3 - Deals 62.5 damage and reduces armor by 1 each strike. One strike each 0.6 seconds.
Mana Cost: 100/150/200
Cooldown: 80/70/60 seconds
• Each blast targets the lowest health enemy unit within 525 range.

And btw when i said high dps i meant ppl like mortred and bh and riki. ppl who use blink, ww and become monsters late game. this will pose problems for linking. THe reason y get dmg items is beacause some ppl like to get dmg items. it was mearly a suggestion to those who get dps items on him. I also prefer to go tank items and use skills for damage but as i said b4 im posting these comments to help ppl with multiple builds and items. as u can see i have onlt touched upon a few things on razor.

And btw lothars is gotten after u have enough hp to actually survive. u are right in that lothars is not really a suggested item on him i just wanted to put it out there for ppl who like to use lothars as i am trying to give advice for alot of builds. oh and as for the anti dps role i happen to have forgotten that but u could tell by lookat the lycan demonstration about how useful his link is.

he is a bad dps so why get dps items to him???

id rather keep tanking tanking him up and get blademail and the dmg out put will be from dtatic link and ulti and field.

neimi i can see things on ur comments i have alredy stated in my other comments. Vangaurd isnt a bad item at all even if the dmg reduction was lowered. And when i said he could be a dps i meant the role NOT attacking while linking. It is obvioud even to noobs that attacking while linking will result in a fail. Manta is gotten mostly for pushing power and some added stats with ms. i was going to get to the HoT and bm on my next comments.

Linkens can provide mana, hp, small dmg, attspd, and a spell block. works well if they have alot of stunners like lion or lina or if they got target spells like lucy. EotS ur ult is like the ultimate dps skill. not only does it dmg the weakest one for 62 dmg but it lowers the armor by 1 each strike and it strikes every .6 seconds. It is amazing when ganking. The cd isnt bad at all and the mana cost will become less of a problem heading into mid and late game.

wrong.

manta on razor is questionable but still good.

lothars is a bad item on him since you will get it after yor tank items.
lothars late game is meh.
if you get it before your tank items you will be food.

a blade mail after a HoT and a pipe on razor would be excellent.
an EoS is great but NOT gotten for the slow(thats just an added bonus.).
EoS orb doesnt stack with other EoS orbs or other ice type slows.
it stacks with posions slows however.

illusions also dont slow.fail...

NO VANGAURD FOR RAZOR ANYMORE!
get 2 bracers and a boot.
you can also go with a vitality and a hood.
BoT on razor is superior to treads and phase.
static link is a late mid- late game skill now an early-mid skill.

razor shines pretty well in late game.static link will take out their dps.
RAZOR SHOULDNT DPS!dps may break your static link.razor is built as a tank and the longer he stays in battle the more dmg he does.that is what razor does.

The reason y i chose lycan his because of his extraordinary ms. He will easily escape ur link and run back to attack possibly killing u. of course there r others who will also pose a problem like slowers. In the case of someone who slows use link and IMMEDIATELY chase them. If u run away while slowed u may lose the connection when they run and u try to chase. Fore stunners it depends on who it is. Slardar is no biggie link and chase. Lion is different becaus he doesnt rely on dmg so u should run

Of course if the wolf HAD been smart. he woulda ran. If hes running i suggest u run with him IF u have enough ms to keep up with him for a bit b4 link breaks doing this will decrease the amount of time hes in wolf form. after that run and ping ur location so ur teammates can run to help. Of course u will most likely be dead if a) Ur teammates are too far away. b) Ur ms is pitiful right now. c) He has another teammate on his side. and d) u link too late.

Ok so imagine u farming a lane when al of a sudden A WOLF APPEARS. it chases u down to ur base and quickly u use link on th wolf. the wolf blinded by greed ( if he isnt smart) keeps chasing u down to 1/5 ur hp. It doesnt turn bcak and keeps attacking u. U realize his dmg is gone so u turn and attack him. He still thinks he has u when he sees how much dmg u do. ouch. the wolf rund but by that time hes in regular form and in 3 seconds BOOM hes dead.

Lothars is a item i have seen recently among razor players. It does give u an escape tool plus ms and it works great wil EotS BUT DO NOT substitute it for tank items if u do u will get OWNED mid-late game. If u really need a reason why i suggest u look at the tons of items and spells that will counter lothars. Ah yes razor's signature skill, STATIC LINK. It works GREAT for chasers such as lycan and drow, well early to mid game it does. More on link on my 5th comment T_T

Dps items are a good thing to have late game AFTER tank items. Razor will get pretty weak late game and u will find that unless u have some sort of dmg items then u will be doing pitiful dmg late game. Razor can become a semi-carry, tank or a dps. He shines mostly mid game but can still be feared late game depending on how well u did early and mid. Like felix said, tank now, orbs later. Hmm im running out of room. Next section i will talk about lothars and other items along with link.

If u find that ppl escape ur team ALOT or if u need slows or disables, go for a skadi which gives u hp, atckspd, mana, AND a slow. Manta is the way to go for pushing and for team clashes. imagine 3 skadis aimed at u lol. Hood is a situational item. If ur dieing to nukes, spells etc. get a hood and u can even go over the top and get a pipe later. I suggest u get a vangaurd with pt OR couple bracers and pt. i really wouldnt get both a vangaurd and bracers. it slows down ur build.

Ok guys first and fore most NEVER get a razor when there r a bunch of high dps or high dmg nukers/stunners. Because of his lack of an escape skill and his mediocre stat gain the other team will cut through him like PAPER. Always go for tank items FIRST. Even if they dont have much dps or nukers he still needs hp. Depending on who they have and the situation i will vary my build. If ur behind on gold and items, get a mjollnir AFTER str items like bracers and vagaurd.

i think you wouldn't reach that far in a real game :P also, don't leave it as hood. sometimes you need to vary it.
