Kel`Thuzad - The Lich

Actually lich can get a decent amount of gold since his attack animation is great so is the damage and his spells are spammable with decent aoe enabling to hit creeps when casted on melee heroes and his ulti+Nova ks alot.

Like i said before even if casters ks from carry hero as long as you push fast enough and dont wait for the carries to shine then the game should be ok. Just make sure you push fast and effectively and to push all sides rather than completely pushing one side.

EoS not really worth it, he already has a slow and a slow armour.

Agh not qu ite as good as guinsoo, but its not bad, I would have finished guinsoo first tho. Getting that disable as fast as possible is very important. Remember that Lich normally doesn't get all that much gold

Played Lich for the first time yesterday and from what I found, guinsoo and orchid are both good items, but the guinsoo helps a lot more with your job as a support hero and can take the enemy's carries out of battle. My build was
2 Nulls > Mekanism >>BoT >> Aghanims >> Guinsoo.
Game ended then but I was gonna start building my Orchid and if it kept going beyond that I might have gone for a Heart or Bloodstone

Agreed. Plus the bloodstone and Orchid I suggest are more than sufficient (along with dark ritual) to maintain his HP and MP.

i wouldn't suggest refresher for lich.. the cooldown of his ulti at 16 lvl is 60 sec.. and the other skills have minimum cooldowns....so i think it's a waste..there are much better items.. besides, refresher's cooldown is 210 sec!

What you're saying is absolutely correct, however it applies mostly in the mid-late to late game. What I'm suggesting is that Lich should shine in the early game as much as possible so that he can do well in the late game (where his role shifts to supporter almost exclusively).

I wouldn't underestimate Orchid so much, the attack speed boost, mana reg. and 60+ damage on Lich is invaluable. Lich's damage naturally is over a 100 at later levels, with Orchid he can dish out even more and why not?

The disable far outweighs teh puny silence. That being said, he doesn't "dps" too badly, because of a decent agi gain combined with his high main stat gain. I'm not saying he isn't capable of heroes, have you ever seen how many kills good support heroes rack up?

The point is more that he shouldn't TAKE kills if someone else will get them. His ulti is not to be used halfway through a gank, but right at the start, his nuke is not to be saved for last hit but to be spammed

He works well as a support, really well especially in large team battles. However, Lich is fully capable of killing heroes up until the mid-game, if you're a clever opportunist, double and triple kills should be easy.

I like to play my Lich aggressively (and in pubs selfishly). Boots, bracers, Bloodstone, Dagon (level 1 or 2 are sufficient) and Orchid. With my mana supply I can spam energy burst and soul burn all day.

I agree with you that leech need not to become a killer. Leech provide massive psychological support during clash. Im betting on orchid and guinsoo during late games rather than becoming a killer. It's a team battle so you just need your side to win.

Naturally, getting the Bloodstone (perseverance then soulbooster) early implies that you play very aggressively and attempt to get at least 3-5 kills between level 6 and 16. With Orchid (soul burn) and BoT you can chase down and kill much faster. Mid-late game, getting aghanim would further add to your edge but the Lich doesn't need it to be a killer.

The last item I would suggest is the Refresher Orb, no explanation necessary.

The new Aghanim's indirectly nerfs the Lich, it usually was my core item and first expensive item to get. However I am experimenting with a new item build that caters to the lich being a killer in the early game and it's been working rather excellently in pubs.

If Time and money are available go for Aghanim or Shiva. Getting the bloodstone as EARLY as possible will benefit the Lich later on greatly, it also satisfies all his health and mana problems.

aww i forgot.. i wouldn't suggest dagger for lich because if he blinks wrongly or at a bad time he'll definitely take all enemy nukes and damage and die.. with this build i posted before i also got 6 double kills and 1 tripple kill... always at late game go with your teammates and help them.otherwise you may not be able to escape at a bad situation.

first: mantle of int, 2x ironwood branch, ring of regen and 1x potion. then complete to null talisman,complete headress of rejuvenation and buckler.. then go for
mekansm.then go for
oblivion staff and then for orchid..also buy boots of speed.sell the null and go for soul booster. if you want make
BoT and then complete

the mana will never deplete but if so, do a ritual..

The good thing about this dude, is that he is an incredible early gamer, then u can only be a support and u spend most of the time waiting for ur teammates and being targeted, because even with 25 armor, u still take more damage than the guy next to you with 5 armor, very fragile like traxex...

buy aghihams scepter!!! extra dammage and more times bumping
