i think his poison sting lasts for 7 secs not 2 sec. ^_^

I hate this hero (when he plays against me)!Poisoning atack,dagger and even the ultimate.And that poison sting is really about 7 or 6 seconds!!!Somebody's got to fix it... but never mind,Venomancer is just greaaaat!!!!

Veno is not nice. Shadow Strike, they are slowed, you have range with a passive slow. Beat this, go up to two or three guys, Nova, SS one, walk off; no attacking. The guy you daggered gets killed by the combo. Its sooooo fun. The problem is that the Nova will not actually kill people, hence the dagger.

i was vsin him lots yesterday, he annoys the crrap out of me and i was usin Mortred so it was very hard to kill him. cos im a low health character, close up fighter and armour is very low. he hurts wheneva he shadow strikes, poisons, poison stings and then wards from behind (with assistance of MoM frenzy).

dis hero is good on 5 on 5 games!

lane lock with wards for free exp and ring of basillius. by the time ur cooldown for that ward is over, ur mana will be replenished. free exp! kill neutrals to lvl. most people wont bother attackn the wards unless its the only thing left.

You are right Umbrella_SWAT! The Venomancer model of Warcraft first appeared on Starcraft as Hydralisk which looks exactly the same! I wonder why did they come up with an idea of naming it Venomancer instead of Hydralisk! TANK you!

i love doin this, in big ass fights. 3 plague ward an exit, run into the battle and poison nova, pretend to flee into ur wards and if anyone chases shadowstrike and ward behind them.

Venomancer is my hero!! Venomancer is easy to kill enemies, but not to viper. Viper it's too difficult to killed by Venomancer. m/^_^m/

His ulti kills...trust me. All you have to do is timing sometimes what i do is hit him a couple of times then ulti then hit him again. Hell eventually run and then i juz killed som1 agen.

I can kill veno 1v1 i'll use abbadon, if veno use his ulti abbadon can disppel tah by his ulti, and if veno use shadow strike just use abbadon shield and i'll build linken for addition defence how that? Veno is no math for abbadon...

I Killed Roshan With This Hero at just lvl 7

During the battle vs Venomancer my opponent skinda goes like

This guy cud beat the hell out of a Drow ranger unless silenced.
Even bringing down towers is so damn easy with this brat.
Just keep popping out ward near towers and build up damage to finish out nearby creeps.
Ultimate cud really turn the game!!
Shadow strike has a nice slow for fleeing enemy
Make sure that the enemy has slow and
poison ridden death:Dont rush with this
dude.Hurry up with skill only when enemy is halfway on Hp
Have the Poison Nova strike on low hp enemy.
He'll be down by the time he reaches healing pool

When i play against tough players, Venomancer is my premier hero. Basically, Shadow Strike is the most useful ability combine with Poison Sting. You can always pawn any hero in the game with these two abilities. Honestly i seldom use the Poison Nova to pawn. Its too easy with a click on it. I do enjoy prefer Shadow Strike.
The items that enhance Venomancer's ability to become Godlike are Yasha&Sange (1st and a must item!). Then Buriza-do Kyanon will be a good add-on. Did i say The Butterfly? This is a very powerful item to have it the inventory. Speed is everything in this game. For Venomancer, you don't need the Frenzy like Razor or Viper. ^^ One more thing, I think Venomancer is a better stalker than the Night Stalker!

Aghanim's Scepter can improve his ultimate. I think Aghanim's Scepter is a nice item for him.

treads, sny, mkb, butterfly, assault cuirass, vanguard pawned a pudge who had 6k health (three hearts and a couple of vanguards). enough said i think.

which hero is great against veno and how can i use it against him?

sickest combo ever: i played as the viper and a friend as venomancer. Vipe's poison shot and ult stacked with the sting and the nova. QUAD POISON FTW!

Venomancer can solo Roshan with mass wards at lvl 8 (assuming wards are maxd)

There's a popular variation for this hero at the @rena near De La Salle University Manila. Max out plague wards and poison sting, then max out the first skill. I'm not sure if it is an old build, but I'm pretty impressed with its farming and pushing ability.

with agannins scepter, he deals something like 1600 damage with his normal attack + his slow poison + poison nova, without consider enemies armor (i am still a begginer, does armor affects poison?) and he still have his wards and his attack, the only thing i do with him is mana and the scepter, after that, everything is fun ^^^

..he can kill anyone in early game and in mid game..very cool when one on one..

At early games this hero owns....at mid game he is ok...at late game he is useless!!!

Yes..sort of; However if have ruled Early-Mid game you should have enough gold(decent items) to make him strong for the Late game as well

Well after all we're talking about late game, and as I said-if you've owned in early-mid game, then you can pretty much get the items you need ; besides the other players have difficulties in getting all the items as well(especially after being killed several times in early-mid game )

a good tank will own him at late game, even if venomancer has ownage items and the tanker only has few items.

ok im kinda a noob player but i think i came up with a good strat

in the beggining get

boots of speed

two iron wood branches
shout shield
chain mail
then get
headdress of reguvenation
and then
nazerium buckler
i then get
mask of death
and helm of iron will
maybe i can afford
this usually takes me to the end of the beggining game i try to get at least
the helm of the denominator

by breaking up bying the peices it helps me farm faster cause im slowly building armor and attack with the life gain my therory is your piosoness so if you survive the battle long enough you will eventually win threw dot and reg attack.

mid game

mekanism - recipe, awsome for survival when running low on hp

i get a vangaurd for more life and it regens the health along with the helm

i take a look at who i am fighting if i can easliy catch up on who i am fighting i go for attack speed with power treads
if i haven't gotten the items i need yet to survive or the players surviving i go for travel so i can retrat and switch to a new lane and push till i get what i need.

i then strive for a mis reaver.
and then i get hte recipe for satanic,
extra life steal, extra damage from +25 strenght

i then get a soolbooster or another reaver it all depends if the armor i have allready is enough if it is i go for the mis reaver if not i go for the sool booster

each one is working its way to still another biuld the mis reaver will be for a HoT and the Sool booster will be for blood stone.

late game -
i purchase a Butterfly for mote damage and attack speed

i purchase ether the HoT or the bloodstone which ever one i didn't by the last time

tell me what you think i have had many fun times ganking and fast farming with this build i didn't know how to post a strat so i just put the build up

plague ward is invaluable. i dunno why people hate gettin it early.
1. massin wards can early push
2. can early harass
3. can use as regular ward and view possible gank areas
4. farm neutrals
5. kill roshan (roshan only attacks veno, not the wards.)

venos pretty much dead at late, so i figured that its better to push early and get some tower gold to defend myself for late.

is dagon something to get veno early game?

Noone really realised that roshan mainly attacks the wards if you stay away from him...that way you can kill him and still have more time to pwn other players....i managed to get through to my enemy's base by level 12...

its first person who attacks roshan that roshan targets. afta roshan leaves his area for a period of time, he will run back and u can attack again. the trick is to plant wards just outside of the wards attack range of roshan. this way roshan wont attack the wards, but the wards will attack him when he leaves his area or is fallin back to his area.

Eh? Yeah that gets the job done i suppose i just get annoyed when i'm attacking with the wards he kills one then comes to attack me...then i run off then come back and he's attacking the wards again... i'm always at a loss at when to attack roshan...

Best for him: on the beginig wraith band(3x), and then butterfly and you are GODLIKE!

Treads butterfly x2 bloodstone (i just love that item and the only health item required for veno) buriza, and its already a gg...

icefrog should so make more starcraft characters...templar assassin is from aier so that is kind of a character, but they should have a normal high templar with hullicination and psi storm etc and what about a defiler MORE SC HEROES!

I am using Venomancer For like 2 years now. I make him Intelligent type hero
Items I recommend Boots of Travel and AGHANIMS SCEPTER (READ AGHANIMS DESCRIPTION) and now AGHANIMS IS CHEAPER Improves Venomancer's Ulti imagine the poison made stronger OUCH Other items like MKB and Linken can help too.

First I damage him with my normal attack as much damage as I can then I use shadow strike then move close to the enemy hero then poison nova then continue attacking him as possible.

I forgot to tell you guys you can use Shiva Guard Item for Venomancer imagine this Shadow Strike then Poison Nova Then Shiva Guard, Shiva Guard 200 damage PLUS slow OUCH!!!!!

I think they called him Venomancer because Hydralisk is just a kind of unit but naming him Venomancer is like making him a hero of all the Hydralisk. Like Luna Moonfang and Traxex they are just an ordinary unit in an ordinary Warcraft game but on DOTA they are the Heroes of Their kind.

radiance is cool... it amplifies Veno's ulti. 108 + 35 = 143 dmg per second! LOL

Veno is tooooooo STRONG!!!!!!!!!! don't u know tat at level 7 veno could beat roshan????????? BUT...
u should take the 3rd skills of veno first.... then take the 2nd skill, keep on doing that and don't mind about the ulti...
when u are fighting roshan, call always the serpent ward... ROSHAN WILL DIE!!!!!!!!!!

I love this character so much for early/mid game, especially with new items. I get wards and Shadow Strike first so as I can push a tower buy level 4-6 depending on the skill of the opposition. He can be imba as an intel hero or and agi hero, personally I like intel builds the best cause you just spam wards and he goes off his face with pushing, you wards just destroy the creep waves, not to mention if you build the max you can before they start to dissappear it's almost impossible for the enemy to push past them to your creeps. As for killing, it's too easy, especially if you have Shiva's Guard, you just set up some wards a little away from some heroes, run (or blink if you have dagger) into them, set off your ultirun back past your wards so they chase you then attack one, shadow strike another, and target your wards on another one then they'll all start to run away and you'll kill one guaranteed, probably two but if you don't just run into the middle of them again and shiva's guard if you have it, that should kill them or give you enough time to kill them at least.

its not hard to kill him with my doombringer. get powerthread, battle fury, s&y, HoT, buriza/satanic n add aghanim if u want to make sure he is death.
sneak attack him with doom, cast lvl?death, scorcherd earth. the silence effect from doom make the poison nova is useless n the scorched earth make ur ASPD n MS is rockin!!. go foward to him for laying some attack on him.. n then just let him go.. :-p the doom will kill him for sure

in a fight against leviathan he can not win.

I would never get aghanim's for Lesale. I would build him up like any other dps hero and use ulti as a supporting skill. If you rely on his ulti too much, you will regret it at late game.

the venomancer guides are very bad, in fact... terrible (they are basically the same really, same item builds same skill build)... shadow strike should not be maxed out, as venomancer cannot support the mana, instead get shadow strike first (for da slow) den poision sting (which is ur main harrassing skill) and choice of stats or plague wards. Agahnims is a terrible item on veno (VENO IS DPS NOT INT!!!!) mjolnnir is a much prefered item, as u can farm with easy.Dagger/Lothars is used with ult

Venomancer can still defeat Viper. you just need to hit him with dagger first then nova then a little normal attack and always carry a flask...

and if you wanta smacking slow down.. you can put the eye of skadi in venomancer. even if the item is for int types it can do much improvement for venomancer. the poison sting and shadow strike sloes the enemy as well as the normal attack and critical strike with buriza too. powerful combination!

the aghanims scepter increases the damge of poison nova and minimizes its cooldown to 60 seconds in level 3 ultimate....

By the way Veno's poison is very deadly especially for those who have low HP
