Maybe the most tremendous being on the Scourge, Magnus is a power to be reckoned with. Trained from birth to become a potent warrior, he is now at the peak of his strength. The Magnataur's giant axe can cleave paths through his enemies, and create a bone-breaking shockwave that ripples through the ground. Further strengthened by a demonic magic that enhances his attacks, he can crush enemies with shocking ease. His greatest power, though, is the ability to create an immensely strong magnetic field, sucking in helpless foes to meet their end.

o hai there, probably the most melee heroes that i ever saw getting rampages had mass cleaves, most of them were magnus, with a nice dagger blink, 2x cleave, mom/assault, buriza, in 4 sec can kill a whole team :) u can get a bkb yeah, but if u know how to use your ulti right, and you have a good enough team with enough disables to take on anyone who tries to inturrupt, u wont need it, u just need pure dmg.35+35+50% dmg = 120% dmg splashed.

@332: That is never going to work without a dagger. Plus, battlefuries are tack on damage bonuses, not bonuses to agility, so empower would calculate the damage increase as if you didn't have those battlefuries. Also, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU THINKING? you would be disable in a second and then ignored. Get a guinsoo and a shivas and you'll be better off, along with a heart or bkb, since those bfuries would give NO increase in health. at most, ONE BFURY ONLY. You get all that? Good.

@332
you need a dagger in there. core on magna, cuz his ult AoE is too small unlike tide. 4 BF is also overkill, too much cleave for any good. better to get some other items. usually 2 BF is max you should get...and btw, cleave is not 113, but 50+140=190% cleave if you get 4 BF. cleave stacks 100%.

@332.

4 bfurys has no hp gain. and you will die easily. I like to get treads 2 bracers, pers, dagger, MoM, 1 bfury, then AC/Shivas. Sometimes travels are better that treads also.

334 By Kaiman 2010-02-19

Shouldn't that be 190% since you have 35% x4 and then 50% from your spell?

333 By aris000 2010-02-15

@332
i would suggest swap 1 battlefury with dagger.

As the guide suggests, lvl up shockwave and stats alternatively until level 7 (obviously get reverse polarity at 6). From then on, I prefer to get lvl 4 empower, and then mighty swing. Why? because by lvl 13 you should already have a battle fury, so the damage bonus is more beneficial with empower.

Anyway, my preferred build is:
Mom
Treads
And Battlefury x4

With four battlefuries your cleave becomes 113%... You do more damage to surrounding enemies than the unit you are attacking...

Well played magnus becomes a perfect carry, start shockwave and go stats untill u get lvl 8/9 then go splash, empower is usefull when u have a high amout of dmg already. As for he item build u start with PT,then Mom, bf, dagger, cuirass and buriza/hot, emower, MoM, blink, reverse, an u get 4 kills xD

Great hero for not so experienced players (like me), cause with shockwave and mighty swing you dont need much last hitting skills. Also he doest die so easy, so its not such a big deal to stand in a bad position.

326 By Jinzakk007 2009-12-22

umm i don't know, but i like this build
bfury(yes, one)
shiva
pthread
hyper->cuirass
satanic
1 is optional: dagger/bkb usually dagger

325 By izzylicious 2009-12-06

@ alon.. maybe like if magina is infront of him, got shock waved for split sec and blinked away infront of him and got hit by it again, he will take the dmg two times..

324 By pika125 2009-12-06

tiny can deal double the shockwave ........... only the person he toss......(plus his ulti lvl 3 ahha)

323 By chaosfreak11 2009-12-04

I think Tiny can toss the enemy to be damaged twice by Shockwave. Not sure though.

322 By alon95 2009-12-04

• If a unit exits and enters the area of effect it will be damaged two times.

what does it mean?

give an example pls

321 By slyfe 2009-11-30

you don't need 2 furies 1 is enough your cleave is pretty big anyways mask of madness would be way better.

320 By jovica 2009-11-30

IMO this hero is pretty limited with items..

I get treads, dagger 2 bracer and 2 furies..

i guess after tha a siva would be good but really ? your pretty limited.. maybe a buriza ? = / you can have like 1.2 k crits

319 By surfboard 2009-11-22

core items for this hero are:
