best pudge if ever seen(online): pudge just permafarmed so pretty much 4v5, but when we would fight, we would run to pudge, and hed pull triples like nothing. never seen rot used so well. slow was viscous

the most ulti build for pudge... PT and 5 HoT... if someone buys a guinsoo, sell a HoT and buy a linkens. rot will slow down enemies when ur chasin, meathook will get them from a range and ur hits HURT! extra strength and health regen very fun

hes not my GOD hero, but i can play him quite well... if im rikimaru, if u let me farm to lvl 11. GG, cos unless u hav gem of true sight and wards, u wont be able to beat me from then on.

Pudge Does not Take damamge from rot When omniknight repels (ok maybe a little damage but not a lot). But its a good strategy Double Teaming with Omniknight and Pudge. a great way to kill pudge early on is with necro.
necro has meka and his heal ofc, then reaper and BAM pudge goes down!

how to master pudge? practice makes perfect they say, and this is true to pudge...... and i think a good build for him is :

1. boots of travel
2. heart of tarasque
3. aegis of the immortal (get this before flesh heap so you have great magic resistance to "resist" the damage of rot, added with your regen, you can perma rot later on...
4. battle fury (farming purposes)
5. linken's sphere(if there are heavy nukers)
6. vanguard or second heart of tarasque...

Radiance, a must have. +40 dmg to rot, basically.

dismember only deals 425 damage, cast rot and use radiance while doin that and u deal like 845 damage + hook damage = 1245 damage.

One of the worst and most over-rated heroes in the game, in my opinion. Most people who try to play as pudge end up inevitably sucking with him. This is because he is simply a bad hero. Unless you can farm, micro, and hot-key incredibly well, there is little point playing this hero in a serious game.

yup you should be if you scared, he can escape pretty much 90% from your hooks and dismembers since he has THREE escape mechanisms...

1)aphotic shield
2)frostmourne(attack you twice and he's faster, you are slower)
3)borrowed time

rot can take care of that shield and frostmourne, hook him if he flees, even with borrowed time, he still gets hooked, but dont cast rot. i think dismember works when his ulti hasnt been cast yet and could kill him

you information about pudge is good but i prefer ring of basilus 2 vanguard at start then boots of travel "kimmelimen" hook rot dismember is a good choice becoz rot can make an opponent slow ..and why vanguard bcoz vanguard can block some damage when using rot and also block the damage of your enemy and the bottle thing it's useful but its up to!!

you can buy a heart,3 bloodstone,an aegis of the immortal(drops for roshan),an assault cuirass for it.it is already become a god!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How to use pudges is simple. When your enemy is approaching, stand beside your tower and partner, then hook your any enemy, dismember and tower and your friend will do the rest. And, you don't have to worry about their partners, because when their partners come, pudge victim is sure dead.

yea... when tiny is just about to attack, chronosphere and if u wana be a prick, get a refresher for him and its a guaranteed kill, 10 seconds is long enough. and with the 25% bash chance and a cranium basher, it should be permastun. Faceless beats all at lategame.

remember that you will get stunned as long as you attack tiny cause of his craggy exterior and I tried that before 2 chonosphere you'll end up being stunned not tiny and nerubian assassin with 2 blademails = 80% return no way you can keep on attacking him

and if you want someone that beats all late game? try soulkeeper. not the dagon build try this one buriza,butterfly,and manta sytle, treads and perseverance. I saw my friend use this build he took on nerubian assassin and tiny at the same time and pawned them after that he took on demon witch after that 1 on 1 with faceless with chronosphere still he pawned him all of that without going back home. He must be thankful since sunder doesn't cost any mana at lvl 3

i think the best item with pudge is radiance,bloodstone for mana regen and much mana because pugde has only small mana,travel for some reason, HoT, and assault for negative armor adn adds more armor with pudge ang allies,...

sheepstick can take care of craggy exterior, Tiny should be 3/4 health left, then chronosphere, 1/2 health, faceless has passive bash with a cranium as well so theres a FV60-T40 chance of both bein stunned. of course Faceless has a greater chance of stunnin with basher of course as his stun chance is higher

that is if he can farm for a sheepstick and a refresher and nerubian assassin is one great counter for any melee heroes

this is faceless void were talkn about, he beats ANYONE in the hands of a pro, even tiny and nerubian.

I SERIOUSLY doubt that we tried every possible build on faceless against NA and faceless always gets owned he just needs at least 2 blademails that's already 80% return including his spiked carapace even your sheepstick and refresher build even with satanic he still gets ownedeven with 2 bashers

I hate pudge... But one time i use this hero i realize it's nice. Yeah pudge is hard to use but is so cool..

I got 3 Hot BoT aegis and Bfury with him however they still owned me by mass stunning...

Someone please make a Pudge strategy that doesn't include aegis as a purchasable item... these strategies are out of date and new ones would help, with screen shots to really help newer players, and great detail.

Flesh Heap is Incredible, makes him mass tank, and you can still get stronger if you have already finished your build and is lvl 25, just keep killing and gaining str :)

Pudge is my best hero. Best build for sure ownage.

Tips: Always hide in the forest or behind the trees or above the hill if you want to farm a hero. Best position is above the hill near the center tower. Always ask your ally to go with you if you want to hook a hard to kill hero. You can kill 1v1 if you think you're victim is not a nuker or stunner.

Question: Who thinks Flesh heap should be maxed ASAP? it adds up later in late game, most people always max this skill at lvl 15, but u couldve got around 25 Strength assuming you were good with hooking enemys on low hp, denyin and farming

I guess if your opponents are heavy nukers, you can maxed the flesh heap. I always maxed the Hook and the Rot first, also Dismember of course. Max the flesh heap out at late game..

pudge can own many late gamer in early game. with a comno of hook and unti + rot, it is a gone case. howver, good things don't last long, he don't have a lot of mana and life early game.

The best item build for him is.
BoT, linken sphere,radiance,Hot and guinsoo if the game still goes on.
Bot to catch up enemies while in rot.linken sphere so someone that you meat hook cant stun you.radiance for more damage.HoT cuz rot damages you.

pudge is the best ever..hey u should upgrade his meat hook lvl 4 1100 range..it sucks if it cantreach over the river, .but still the best..

Omfg, how do you beat this guy?!? I'm playing a 4v4 game and all some guy does is mass Soul Boosters and meat hook/rot/dismember you. Even my 4k life dragon knight dies in like a few seconds.

So easy to use, only hook is a bit tricky cos its like Elunes Arrow, u gotta guess where they gotta go or else u will hit a creep. I get him 2 ring of regenerations at early game, then hood of defiance. then boots. its a good tactic, u get 8 hp regen at lvl 6.

meat hook is too strong with a pretty low mana cost

umm... 140 mana is basically all ur mana at lvl one

strong in the right hands. anticipation of life is also crucial. great hero when he uses hook to ambush. but being another fat ass hero makes him a sizable target

think of the flaws in that though... if u hook an enemy hero, then anotha enemy hero walks into the hook, u will hav to deal with 2 heroes at once and u can only dismember one of them. pudge is a 1v1 kind of hero... unsurprisingly, he is quite poor against meepo. regardless if he does focus all his damage into one meepo + rot, the other meepos will decimate him. (unless he surprise attacks one of the clones with a hook, then the clones cant help fast enough)

its great gettin pudge radiance, hearts and hood of defiance, more regen means he will last longer when hes usin hook, rot and dismember combo. of course it will be harder to suicide cos of the regen rate, but if u think ur in the clear and are above 200 health, u dont need to suicide, strength gained, hearts and hood of defiance should help him regenerate 800 health within a minute, which can allow u to do anotha hook, rot and dismember combo

diz hero insane...jz make him arcane ring n some low lvl eq for str hero u can kill any agi or int hero with a couple of click...isn't it cool... i 've tried diz a couple of time n its really work..diz hero also iz a good chacer n tanker.... what more u can ask from diz UGLY thing....1 word FRESH MEAT,hahahha hav fun dude...fish n kill

for late game u should have at least 20-30 flesh str .. thats like 150 base dmg...some HoTs so u should to have nice dmg and hp:) just use rot, try "creep bloking" strategy and u own everyone

with hood of defiance, heart, maxed flesh heap and high strength, his health drops so much slower with rot activated, u only take 3damage/sec while the others gets 100 damage/sec.

went 8-0 first 10 min with this guys, but went 9-5 the rest of the way , damn, hard to use late game

ok. pudge with hood gets 30 percent less damage done from rot. its a spell. so another 8 hp regen and gg rot doesnt do much. vangaurd is still the best item early. boots, 2 bracers and a vangaurd gg early and mid game. get a hood, 2 HoTs' turn boots to BoTs and control the game late with extra hp from creeps and hero kills.

i still prefer HoD over vanguard, 46% magic reduction, rot only deals 54 damage to self whereas others get 100 damage. also with the regeneration rate increased, he would technically deal 46 damage to himself and strength gained.

No, mate you can't, but all you need to do is wait till he gets little aside from the creeps and hook him :) ;
And about the OD-yes he may be able to kill pudge with his ulti, but that's if the Butcher hasn't already ate him

I got a crazy idea for a new style of pudge play. Hes got a 3 second disable, 175 d/s, and a slow. Why not get necrobook then?

Think about his skills and how they synergize.

Hook -- not so much, the necro guys might even get in the way.

Rot -- Even level 1 rot has 20% slow, and your necros give you a speed aura which means they are going to be attacking nonstop. 100 dps to YOU and the enemy really isn't all that great unless you have alot of hp. Those little necro warriors pack a punch moreso than Rot does.

Flesh heap -- The problem is if your necros get the kill you don't get the strength bonus! The 16% magic reduction is still nice and free str from creeps/*some hero kills* is also good.

Dismember -- 3 seconds of rot + 3 second of necro poundage = GG.

Necrobook gives 15 INT (200 more mana), more than enough to give pudge sufficient mana to cast all his spells as needed. Also it adds STR, not so much as a HoT but still a nice boost.

So my proposed new build (which i'm going to test a few times) is this:

Items (early midgame):

tangos + 5 branches to start
Ring of Health - 875
boots - 500g
necrobook lvl 1 - 2750
necrobook lvl 2, 3 (2600)
vanguard - (1400)

It should be possible to get the necrobook to lvl 2 AROUND level 11, maybe 10 if you are good, the basis is hook, activate necrobook, dismember, rot. Make sure you run infront of them when you are rotting so you dont bump into your necros.

Is this pudge weaker than the standard pudge? Probably more so in the early game betweens level 7-10, where pudge goes hunting for low HP heroes. A hook/dismember combo should work sufficient if you have an ally there. But in the long run I think that Pudge's midgame/lategame will be better as necrobook 3 is a fantastic item, true sight, mana burn, and mana burn passive; Best used in conjunction with long disables/slows.

The reason I thought this up was because I was tired of playing pudge where rot was his only damage source. If for some reason you stumble upon an enemy and hes got more HP then you -- you lose. Late game is even worse because all you have is a 100 dps aura and enemy heroes shrug it off. With necrobook theres a good chance enemies wont have any mana left after dismember (agi/str anyway) so no blinking out, no windwalk (doesnt really matter because u have necro 3), hopefully no ult.

With necro 3:

Hook 400 dmg
Necro Archer burn - 225 damage
Dismember: 525

Rot 25 dps
Necro archer -- ~20 dps
Necro warrior -- ~80 dps

Total damage after dismember: 1525 or so. And they'll be down 500 mana at least! After that its alot less DPS as the warrior doesn't attack quite as fast (move - attack, lots of misses etc). So your looking at roughly MORE dps w/ necro3 without the need to take 100dps. Maybe take rot as well for the extra 75 DPS through the whole combo...

If you hook you can quickly summon necros and activate rot then dismember, but don't summon necros after you start dismembering or it will cut it short =[.

BoT, Radiance, HoTx3 HoD... Have Fun fishing people, at lvl 25 with this set u will hav at the least 4.7k hp u can keep going and going, btw if ur a noob pudge amke sure ur teamates can handle most tank heros like centaur cuase even if u fish em up and rot, str heros hav a lot of health to take down so make sure if ur gonna gank str ppl have at least one other partner, omniknight is pudge's best friend in dotA always gank with him and ur garenteed a kill or a ks but u'll still get exp, i might make a strategy on pudge since all of em are very old...... ya i'll try gl hf fishing like i said

In my opnion,
best build is:

1. eye of skadi, instead of HoT, because it gives armor and attack speed also
2. vladmir's offering, instead of radiance, so there are no need for any Hot, has nice armor and damage boosts
3. battle fury, splash and damage
4. buriza, your massive damage x 2.2
5. sange and yasha, won't stack with EoS, but helps with movespeed, attackspeed, armor, life, damage, etc..
6. boots of travel or power treads, doesn't matter

Radiance is not needed for added damage or aura damage as your regular attack is good enough (with or without buriza). And for radiance aura to work with rot it does not make sense, since if they are already affected with rot, there are better items for you to help damage instead of radiance aura, buriza for example. The radiance is only good if they are not caught in rot but then again you have hook. So radiance should not be bought.

but i think u will need a hood of defiance at least, just to reduce the damage that pudge takes from rot.

And i think it is nice to put HoD because of his flesh heap, 16% magic reduction + HoD 30% magic reduction = 46% magic reduction.

HoD won't help kill, will it? I know it's nice to reduce your rot damage or reduce incoming spells, but higher damage means killing faster, which means more strength and damage for flesh heap, which means enemy heroes retreating or dying earlier (and don't forget you should have vlas's lifesteal). This results in less damage received, as battle time is reduced and you can deactivate rot earlier. Once they retreat and die, you can lifesteal any damage taken.

HoD and HoT are for Pudge players who depend too much on Rot and in the long game he will become useless.

One of Rhasta's combos is using his shackle and then summon viper wards. If the enemy is still alive, use his voodoo to change the enemy into a cricket and then attack that damn enemy. Try this combo you'll surely gonna win!!

pudge is really one hero that needs skill.. esp his meathook... can be compared to PotM her eulenes arros is just like meathook.. both need very good skills for maximum usage.

Explayning - HoD gives you decent regen and spell reduction, Treads, quirass and skady slows the oponent even further(I assume that you use rot) and you have enough mana, armour and hp ( lets not forget the STR bonus from the flesh heap) Try it before saying it is stupid

Pudge is the best hero in scourge because its life can be around 5000-20000 because of hes 3rd skill. with NO HEART OF TARASQUE.

always learn flesh heap at lv 2 so you get some stats for whole game.

the funny thing of pudge is when you put your crow with a chicken inside it then go to the enemy's base where there is no escaping click the chicken to drop it then get a travel then tele to the chicken and when there's enemy that's revive pull it and dismember FRESH MEAT!!!!!! then ROT there is no escape

OMFG this is the best late game hero, i played a game that went on for like 2 and a half hours, i did 635 damage a hit and had 8000 health, my team sucked so it took a while to win but in the end, they had me 5 on 1, and i took 3 and ran, my team got the rest
