An outcast of the Spirithoof clan, Barathrum retreated in shame to the Ethereal Plane, feeding off wandering souls to sustain himself, and wandered aimlessly for centuries, alone and miserable. Found and recruited by the Lich King, Barathrum's uncanny speed and wraithlike powers have now been unleashed upon the Material Plane, his lantern able to project nether energy into enemies, sending them backwards with sudden force. With the abilty to close the distance between himself and a target in seconds, Barathrum the Spiritbreaker is more than a match for anyone.
Charge of Darkness Charge of Darkness (C)
Barathrum fixes his sight on an enemy and starts charging through all objects. Any unit that comes into contact during the charge triggers a greater bash proc. Upon leaving the shadows, Barathrum shocks his opponent into an immobile state for some time. Enemy can only see buff indicator when you are near them. Charge is interrupted if disabled.
Level 1 - Charge at 425 ms then stuns for 1.2 seconds.
Level 2 - Charge at 500 ms then stuns for 1.6 seconds.
Level 3 - Charge at 575 ms then stuns for 2.0 seconds.
Level 4 - Charge at 650 ms then stuns for 2.4 seconds.
• Target will become aware of the charge (a buff is visible in the status bar) when Barathrum is within 3000 distance.
• Barathrum will run through units and trees.
• Allies of Barathrum (and himself) will see an animation over the head of the target.
• Any unit you pass through (250 AoE) will proc a Greater Bash of your current level (nothing will happen if you didn't skill it)
• The charge stops if you click anywhere, or if you are disabled.
• Barathrum gains shared vision of the target for the duration.
• If the target dies, the charge is transferred to the nearest valid target.

Empowering Haste Empowering Haste (H)
Causes the Spiritbreaker to swing his weapon faster with higher movement speed, allowing him to deal extra damage. His presence increases the movement speed of nearby allied units.
Level 1 - Increases movement speed by 6% and damage by 4% of his movement speed.
Level 2 - Increases movement speed by 8% and damage by 8% of his movement speed.
Level 3 - Increases movement speed by 10% and damage by 12% of his movement speed.
Level 4 - Increases movement speed by 12% and damage by 16% of his movement speed.
• The bonus damage is added to Barathrum's ordinary attack damage.
• Area of Effect: 900

Greater Bash Greater Bash ()
Gives a 17% chance to bash enemies across the ground, doing more initial damage and damage as they skid. You gain 15% movement speed bonus for 3 seconds when this triggers.
Level 1 - Deals 25 damage, 140 knockback distance, lasts 0.95 seconds.
Level 2 - Deals 50 damage, 180 knockback distance, lasts 1.15 seconds.
Level 3 - Deals 75 damage, 220 knockback distance, lasts 1.35 seconds.
Level 4 - Deals 100 damage, 260 knockback distance lasts 1.55 seconds.
• Damage type: magical
• Greater Bash is triggered everytime Spiritbreaker initiates an attack, so it is not necessary to land the attack in order for Greater Bash to work.
• Disable works on magic immune units.

Cooldown: 1.5 seconds
Nether Strike Nether Strike (E)
Moves you next to your target doing extra damage. Performs a greater bash hit. Casting range improves per level.
Level 1 - Moves Barathrum next to the target, deals 100 damage.
Level 2 - Moves Barathrum next to the target, deals 200 damage.
Level 3 - Moves Barathrum next to the target, deals 300 damage.
Mana Cost: 125/150/175
Cooldown: 75 (20 with Scepter)
• Damage type: magical
• Barathrum will move to the other side of the target seen from the point he casted it.
• • Performs a Greater Bash of your current level upon arrival (no bash will happen if you didn't skill it).
• Teleportation and damage is delayed 1 second while Barathrum is fading out, Barathrum is magic immune for this time period.
• Casting Range: 400/550/700 (550/700/850*)
• Aghanim's Scepter dramatically reduces cooldown and improves casting range. It also causes enemies around the primary target to also be bashed upon teleporting.

for MoM or AoM, i like AoM more then MoM but for this hero, i get MoM for him cause I think MoM is build special for him. Give insane attack speed for permabash and increase damage too from movement speed given.

but i disagree with the MoM AoM part.

MoM and AoM can be compared.
MoM gives more attack speed. but AoM gives more dps and makes you tankier.

ultimately they are both effective and the choice usually depends on the users prefrence

@1065 dude there is no comparison b/w mom and aom in terms of aspd....that makes mom a better choice and also mom gives some mspd which increases damage by 2nd skill ''empowering haste''

@1073 It's a joke. 4200 gold is more than a BKB. I don't see how you can justify delaying more important items just so that you can hope that the enemy team will clump into one big group so that you can deal a 75 damage bash to all of them.

For that much money, I'd rather have a hyperstone + plate mail + chainmail to increase my physical DPS.

Think about it.

@1070 Treads, MoM and BKB are pretty much core items on him, so those are okay (and should be rushed). SnY is okay depending on how mid-game is going, while AC is definitely a good item to pick up for him.

Aghanim's is a joke item though, don't bother getting it.

mmediately charges towards the targeted enemy unit. IGNORES PATHING COMPLETELY. Stuns the target when it reaches it.

If the target dies, charge will automatically resume on another nearby visible unit.

While you are charging, all secondary units within 250 AoE of you are hit by a greater bash equal to its level.

You don't stand in place in the beginnning, you immediately charge towards the enemy, but they can stun you then it stops. Anyone you touch on the way gets Greater Bashed.
