Anub'seran. The name of this creature strikes fear into all of those who have seen the Nerubians. Swarm is also used for pushing tower by delaying the creep wave because the tower keeps focusing on the beetles. Heroes that tower hug aren't safe from Swarm since it gives you a short time of uninterrupted focus on the target.

@787

Enemy creeps will eat the beetles that are sticking to your enemy heroes if they get close. You also forgot to mention that Swarm is a scouting tool half of the time and a defensive skill when being pushed. Also disables Daggers.

minus armor, plus the lack of creeps hitting you, since they're also killing beetles, plus that level 1 Shukuchi which can also be used for escaping, or 3) Running, where you can catch up with one Shukuchi (if you need more, then let them go, you're probably towerdiving at this point, anyway).

Honestly, I'm not someone who watches pro games on a regular basis, so I haven't seen the game you refer to, but that build must have been situational, or that's his way of playing it.
I prefer Swarm.

harass with that little damage.

Swarm, on the other hand, does a lot more damage, as
-The beetles are doing damage. Not to mention that awesome minus armor.
-You're hitting them, with that minus armor. You can't hit during Shukuchi. And ending Shukuchi early to hit will probably put you (a bloody squishy hero when not in Shukuchi) in a really bad position.
-The enemy has to choose between 1) Killing the beetle, which means you get to hit them, 2) Killing you, where you have an advantage with

Okay, thank you for replying to posts that were written about 8 months ago.

On to the actual point, Shukuchi vs. Swarm. Yes, Shukuchi's damage has increased, but that's just a bonus. The main point of Shukuchi is the invisibility+haste, which you get at level 1. The main scaling that happens is the cooldown, which you don't need early game, as you should be using to to escape, not harass. As a hero with a say ~250 mana (considering you bought some branches or something) that's not a lot to

(for the mod)forgive me for saying bad things but @703 flamed me first.

783 By Down2000 2013-01-12

"Shukuchi damage increased from 90/100/110/120 to 90/110/130/150"

which means maxing sukuchi is better at early than maxing the swarm first. Look at this @703! Idiot will always be idiot. At least argue without bad words, jeez. and @713 bring about the problem in the past. So you want to *kind of* avenge DS.com, @713? I dont get it why he said bad words and he can not get banned...

AND, at very first dota2 tourney. NW player MAXED sukuchi first. So is it that bad by not maxing sukuchi?

U don't get the cleave, but let's face it: cleave isn't that good: the AoE is too short to have effect in battles, it's 35% cleave saves one hit at every three, so it's not THAT magical. It is a good pushing tool, however.

Weaver has low damage by herself and is mana dependant. Since she needs basically these two things to work well, BF is a good call for her. It's easily bought in parts that can be bought separately, different from rad, which is better but not always viable.
ppl tend to think that bf is a farming item. That is only half true, since bf gives you free 19 damage, it's quite a good item for damaging purposes. Other dmg items aren't nearly as good on her, snce they drift in other directions of damage.

Am I missing something? Why is BF good on Weaver if he doesn't benefit from cleave?

Yes,it is written invisible, but I still feel it's not the windwalk type invisible. Not to do with the fact that one cannot go near enemy heroes. There is some hidden mechanics to it.Maybe someone can enlight me.

772 By KNiteman 2012-03-29

Well I think it is if you read the item info. http://www.dotastrategy.com/item-127-SmokeofDeceit.html

771 By ntts 2012-03-29

If I recall corectly,Smoke isn't actually invis,right?

@769, I agree with the BF rush. Its a great rush on AM and Weaver, you have perseverance for laning. Sometimes if I play AM, i go for Ring of Health then Claymore just to assist with the BF rush. Also with Rad, seeing that you have to farm 3800 for a Relic is quite intimidating especially if you ganked constantly. Whereas with BF its broken up into smaller items that seem cheaper to rush than a 3800 gold item. Perseverance gives a solid regen and that 10 damage helps alot. Even though they about the same price, its much easier to get BF.
