Mmm, sorry, naturally competitive. Besides, I'm also giving my arguments for my items. :P

Actually, Diffusal still gives a good damage boost lategame. A level 2 Diffusal blade gives 60 damage boost alone.

672 By Nabla 2010-09-03

you dont need to justify yourself.
i just comment spectre, and give some arguments for items.
radiance is awesome in helping you farming
you lategame items, so earlier you get it so better, but imo it shouldnt be got at the price of diffu, only so after diffu is the right time to get it, imo.

671 By carnage07 2010-09-03

But then, the OVERALL boost that Radiance gives is the shit. If you read my guide, it would showcase me using Diffusal, which proves that I am NOT a Diffusal hater. Generally, Diffusal Blade is for people who like to play Spectre like a ganker, which I do, because ricing for 15-20+ minutes is boring. Agree, yes? Anyway, it also says there that Radiance is still awesome, and i explained why in the previous posts. So there.

670 By Nabla 2010-09-03

i meant: " but the dmg boost an early diffu gives is great"

669 By Nabla 2010-09-03

radiance is a really strong item on spectre and i would build it before manta but the dmg boost and early diffu gives.
(in earlygame you also disable enemies through sucking (1/3 or 1/4 of their mana, what diffu can do, will give another advantage, and i didnt mention purge yet)
btw i wouldnt purchase manta so early, first radiance, keeping manta for lategame, after hot (maybe the vitality booster earlier, depends on game), Manta is not THIS important, it only powers up your dmg-output.

to kill, not in the sense that she's tanky, but in the sense that you don't know which one to get rid of. If you have 6 Spectres on the other team whacking and spreading that immolation, who the hell do you attack? Sometimes she uses Haunt to its full potential, and only uses it to enter clashes, therefore you CANNOT KILL THE REAL SPECTRE, until she realities 5-7 seconds later, and she has done so much damage already, merely presenting images of her.

667 By carnage07 2010-09-03

Gah, I hate this char limit.

Now, onto Radiance. Why is it generally preferred by league players? Because of this.

Radiance provides unparalleled farming power, and the ability to deal a crapload of damage in a clash. Also, since Spectre is tanky for an Agi hero, combined with Vanguard, she is extremely difficult to kill.

I ask you this. Why do tanks get Radiance? They get it so they get focus. So why does Spec get Radiance? She isn't a tank, that's for sure. It's because she's so difficult-

666 By carnage07 2010-09-03

Curse the character limit.

Anyway, Diffusal gives nice stats, but it barely adds damage in a clash. True, your images get ALL the damage you get from the item, but come on, do you really think you are going to get enemies alone a whole lot? Do you think they will be away from the pack in a clash? It's a team fight, they are SUPPOSED to be together. Also, your images will need to chase if they want to inflict the damage that Diffusal gives. They can land maybe 2-4 hits, and then what?

665 By carnage07 2010-09-03

Apparently, you guys misunderstand the Radiance rush. You live in Soviet Russia don't you? (Don't get it? Aww.)

Diffu-Manta is better, because they ARE TWO ITEMS. Getting these two items will be easier, and gotten in somewhere like half the time if you rush a Radiance. Now, you want me to compare Radiance to Diffusal? Ok.

Radiance costs a lot more, but it pays itself, faster than you think. Diffusal is cheap, and gives a shitload of damage (40+ damage) for its price. And Purge, priceless.

664 By iTopher13 2010-08-30

to tank him more, because he has dispersion

663 By Ephemeral96 2010-08-30

Why do you put HoT on him again?

662 By Nabla 2010-08-30

radiance rush is misunderstood
diffu first is better than radiance in nearly every case
the purge is nice for team, and the dmg you gain is high

think over radiance if someone else builds diffu

661 By nooblet_pwner 2010-08-30

thats exactly why radiance is rushed on PL in every game as long as he's not getting raped.

660 By 7Heaven 2010-08-30

Or you cast it on Spec to remove annoying debuffs(Gondar's/Slardar's ulti for example). The bonuses are a whole lot.

Radiance only gives the damaging aura and +damage. No more evasion.

659 By 7Heaven 2010-08-30

Diffudal+Manta are overall way better. Think about it.You have more images, your images are stronger(+stats help the images of Haunt),they manaburn. Not to mention about escaping.Spectral Dagger isn't a 100% reliable escape mechanism. And most players are not top/pros to execute it right and make it.With diff/manta you have 2 GTFOs-Purge and Mirror Image. And not to mention the other benefits of Purge. You cast it on a Troll who just ulti-ed and you remove it PLUS you slow him

658 By GankMate 2010-08-24

hahh

657 By nooblet_pwner 2010-07-30

when i say "disables" is not enough of a counter, i mean disables are the ultimate trump card for everything so its not really a viable argument, its just a cheap lazy excuse.

656 By nooblet_pwner 2010-07-30

with MoM spectre fails. she loses her use as a semi-damage soaker with the 22% dispersion. she needs to get the item of GANKERS, DIFFUSAL. how are you going to gank when you need to chase a mile for your enemy? i know "disables" is not enough of a counter. the counter is the insane amount of time you need to chase, giving the enemy lots of time to cut your escape route and counter-gank you. in exchange for a kill fo some sort, your team loses the hardcore carry.
there is no debate diffusal>MoM.

655 By spirtosan 2010-07-30

Spectre is the best ganker. With mask of madness and dagger Specre is really fast (522 with power treads), PMS is good item - first, followed by boots of speed. At lvl 6-7 Spectre can kill almost everyone 1v1. Basher is also great item with MOM - maximum ms + double attack speed and bash is great combination. Later - buriza, butterfly, MKB, heart.

654 By silentzero 2010-07-17

meh, fail tab is fail

which is why traxex could gank better than Spectre
