A matriarch and high priestess of Elune's blessed order, Mirana Nightshade serves as a light in darkness for the front line of the Sentinel ranks, raining arrows and falling stars alike upon the shambling undead masses of the Undead Scourge, while her very presence is said to be so holy that it melts away the fatigue of nearby allies, giving them greater haste on the battlefield. In times of need however, she can fade herself and others around her into the safety of invisibility, making her a potent supporter matched by few.
Starfall Starfall (T)
Calls down a wave of meteors to damage each nearby enemy. One random enemy unit within 200 aoe will get hit again for half the damage.
Level 1 - 75 damage per wave.
Level 2 - 150 damage per wave.
Level 3 - 225 damage per wave.
Level 4 - 300 damage per wave.
• Damage type: magical
• This skill is not blocked by Linken's Sphere.
• Area of Effect: 600/900
Mana Cost: 100/120/140/160
Cooldown: 12

Elune`s Arrow Elune`s Arrow (R)
Fires an arrow to a location with deadly precision, dealing large damage and stunning the first unit it strikes. Stun duration increases based on how far the target is, ranging from 0.5 to 5 seconds. Has 3000 range.
Level 1 - Deals 90 damage.
Level 2 - Deals 180 damage.
Level 3 - Deals 270 damage.
Level 4 - Deals 360 damage.
• Damage type: magical
• For every 150 distance the arrow travels, the stun duration upon impact increases by 0.5 seconds. For example, an arrow that travels for 300 range stuns for 1 second, and an arrow that travels at least 1500 range stuns for 5 seconds (which is the maximum stun duration).
• The stun duration is determined by the distance between where Mirana fired the arrow and where the arrow hits its target.
• Invisible units will not be stunned, but will still take damage.
• Casting range: 3000
• Area of Effect: 140

Leap Leap (E)
Mirana's wild Frostsaber leaps forward into battle, empowering allies with a ferocious roar upon landing. Movement and Attack Speed bonus lasts 10 seconds.
Level 1 - 630 range, 4% IAS and MS increase.
Level 2 - 690 range, 8% IAS and MS increase.
Level 3 - 780 range, 12% IAS and MS increase.
Level 4 - 840 range, 16% IAS and MS increase.
• Leap uses a 0.01 second Wind Walk to dodge any projectiles currently in route to Mirana, so if the enemy has true sight of Mirana she won't be able to dodge projectiles using Leap.
• Area of Effect: 800
Mana Cost: 40/35/30/20
Cooldown: 30/26/22/18
Moonlight Shadow Moonlight Shadow (W)
Turns Nightshade and all allied heroes invisible. If Invisiblity is broken, it gets restored after the fade time during the shadow duration.
Level 1 - 2.5 second fade time, lasts 11 seconds.
Level 2 - 2 second fade time, lasts 11 seconds.
Level 3 - 1.5 second fade time, lasts 11 seconds.
Mana Cost: 175
Cooldown: 180/160/140
• Units affected will not auto attack enemies.
• Magic immune allies will be affected.
• Area of Effect: Global

SoD killed Mirana in comp play, she was a top pick for her ulti. Though smoking and using her ulti works well since you use the effect of smoke to detect nearby enemies and from there you can decide if you wanna go in for the kill or retreat if you feel they are baiting you.

I'd rather get ulti at lv 9/10 because of damage from skill 1 and 2. Skill 3 only level 1.

Here's a pro mirana:

Get hits on your arrows.
Save leaps for kills or escape.
Aim your starfall carefully for maximum output.
Roam around in mid game.
Always take ult at lvl 6/11/16.
Go manta diffusal or bkb mkb.
Travel sucks, get phase.
Buy wards.

That's it.

Heres for a pro mirana,
use lothars,
like sf lothar in the middle of any opponents hero then hit while still on invi then nuke with starfall(100% double starfall) then if it run just throw a no miss elune then leap if its alive. just add buriza as well for a quick dps

Well as Mirana says, "My pet is Grrrrrrreat!" so in a way Leap is quite deadly if you jump into the wrong place. Its gives you a great escape and chase so yes in that way it is deadly.

MoM on mirana is not effective enough as you are very squishy ... you should farm a fast manta, that's more effective with PT together.

Limiting that farm of the opposing carry is done with roaming/ganking lolufail.

and @807, imho, mirana should be played as a babysitter at early game protecting the carry and a semi-carry/semi-gank towards mid-late. As a roamer in early game, she is losing a lot of valuable exp running around when she can be getting higher levels of starfall and leap (lvl.1 arrow is enough imo). Limiting the farm on the opposing carry would effectively place your team in a much more secure position in the game.
