Originally worshipped by the pagan tribes of Germania and the black forests that encompassed it, Meepo is a mischievous spirit of the earth who enjoys burying his enemies alive in mountains of rock spikes, pinning them down into helplessness as he pummels them into submission with his mighty shovel. The most disturbing of the Geomancer's powers, however, is his ability to separate his being into multiple selves, each as powerful as the original and making him potentially four times the trouble for the unlucky who encounter him.
Earthbind Earthbind (E)
Rains earthen spikes across a target area, pinning down all enemy units in the 225 AOE.
Level 1 - Ensares enemy units, last 2 seconds.
Level 2 - Ensares enemy units, last 2 seconds.
Level 3 - Ensares enemy units, last 2 seconds.
Level 4 - Ensares enemy units, last 2 seconds.
• Prevents enemies from using blink skills.
• Does not hit invisible units, but ensnared units won't be able to become invisible.
• Interrupts channeling spells if the target isn't affected by this ability already.
• Does not work on magic immune units.
• Does not work on Roshan.
• Casting range: 500/750/1000/1250
• Area of Effect: 225
Mana Cost: 100
Cooldown: 20/16/12/8

Poof Poof (F)
Drawing mystical energies from the earth, Meepo can teleport to another Geomancer, leaving destruction in his wake. After channeling for 1.5 seconds, Meepo instantly teleports to nearest target Geomancer, dealing damage in 400 AOE in the departure and arrival locations.
Level 1 - 50 damage.
Level 2 - 80 damage.
Level 3 - 110 damage.
Level 4 - 140 damage.
• When targeted, Meepo will teleport to the Meepo closest to the target point (can be the same Meepo as casts it).
• If Meepo teleports to himself, both departure and arrival damage will be dealt in the same area.
• Casting range: Global
• Area of Effect: 400
Mana Cost: 140/120/100/80
Cooldown: 16/14/12/10
Geostrike Geostrike ()
The Geomancer enchants his weapon with the essence of the earth, crushing the life from his enemies and numbing their legs. Slows target movement speed and deals damage per second. The effects are additive with other geomancers. Lasts 2 seconds.
Level 1 - 5% slow, 5 damage per second.
Level 2 - 10% slow, 10 damage per second.
Level 3 - 15% slow, 15 damage per second.
Level 4 - 20% slow, 20 damage per second.
• Does not stack with buff placers.
• Geostrike's slow of every Meepo stacks directly.
Mana Cost: N/A
Cooldown: N/A
Divided We Stand Divided We Stand ()
Meepo summons an imperfect, semi-autonomous duplicate of himself, which can gain gold and experience and abilities. However, the clones cannot wield any items but the boots that Meepo himself wears. If one clone dies, they all die.
Level 1 - 1 Geomancer.
Level 2 - 2 Geomancers.
Level 3 - 3 Geomancers.
Mana Cost: N/A
Cooldown: N/A
• The only item that transfers to the clones is one pair of boots (any type).
• Meepo clones can use active abilities from Boots of Travel and Phase Boots.
• Meepo clones gain 25% of any extra attributes the primary Meepo has.

Why would he kill their tanks instead of the aoe nukers or dps heroes?

554 By Gagoman 2009-11-14

This f*cker can rip a silencer in seconds

@ Masy

I completely disagree on your opinion

Use him well

opponents will be frustrated once the meepos start working

i really liked sheepstick when i saw it on meepo xD

strength power treads
meka
vlad
deso
sheepstick

i know with the net and all it seems like a waste, but the mepo started as a hit n run disabler. used sheepstick on their tank and then moved back and let his tanks stun the aoe nukers. then he netted and poofed and dps'd the tank who was now no longer a chicken but perma-netted.

sheepstick does give strength for survival, agility for damage and an extra situational disable.

dager is good for meepo for fast hand!

549 By slyfe 2009-10-23

Radiance is just horrible on meepo he just dies way too fast for it to be at max effect.

548 By ReZi_BaBe 2009-10-23

Masy, that just means he's be worthless all the time
Meepo is just for pros only
micromanaging is hard

@545: I have quite a few replays of myself playing Meepo in pubs where my team would hardly describe me as "useless". :)

545 By masy94 2009-10-20

useless hero in pubs nukers kill one of the copies in a second since you cant get them good hp and armor in earlygame

543 By Nornoc 2009-10-14

Sweet, that's one of the first do-able ideas I think I've ever had for a hero! :D

542 By Alpine 2009-10-14

In the limited number of league replays with Meepo I've seen, Kelen's Dagger is a common choice. They use it exactly as you described.

I don't personally use a blink with him because as a pub player i can easily catch people napping anywhere on the map. :P

Had that happen yesterday as a Riki tried to chase down my low health Meepo, so I poofed everyone in after Earthbinding him and killed him in a second.

541 By Nornoc 2009-10-14

I want to try blink dagger on Meepo. It could be really useful late game if you catch some caster who thinks he's alone. Just net from where he can't see you, blink there, poof all the clones to him and watch him die :D

540 By Alpine 2009-10-14

@539: Not at all. He's excellent in teamfights with the proper amount of caution. With an AoE disable that can be spammed endlessly and huge nuking power with Poof as well as DPS and slow with Geostrike, he's quite capable of taking down 3, 4 or 5 heroes in a clash.

Make sure you go in a bit later to avoid their AoE power and focused fire, and you'll be able to do quite well. Takes some practice, but he's very powerful.

possibly the worst 5 on 5 hero in dota imo, as he is useless if everyone on the opposite team is in the same lane. i think the best build would be:
Vladmirs Offering
Power Treads
Mekanism
Assault Cuirass
Stygian Dessolator
Shivas Guard

538 By slyfe 2009-10-11

I agree and like he said 4 meepos can keep the enemy there forever since each last 2 sec and there are 4 meepos and the cd is only 8 sec.

Meepo is a carry hero but not meant to carry that late but during mid-late game since he outlvls everyone and probably outfarms most of them. A meepo that has managed to farm a meka without a problem will be focused fired in team battles and if he survives till he farms for a vlads without dying more than twice then he is to be reckoned with.

537 By Alpine 2009-10-10

Meepo doesn't need attack speed - survivability items are best after Vlad's ane Mekansm. I usually go for HoT -- he doesn't need the attack speed because at level 16, he has an 80% slow with DPS due to stackable Geostrike, and with the right timing can keep an opponent down with Earthbind literally until the end of time.

You don't need the attack speed because the 4 Meepos can easily overwhelm your targets.

Meepo can be carry, but i wish there was a item that was like hyperstone but in a aura
(not AC its to low atk speed)
