He's not so bad, but not that good either I wonder if Aghanim would improve his ult?

The 6.47 map has been temporarily removed.

I tested this hero though, base damage is so strong, but hp and armour is rather pitiful.
The first skill is overpowered, its like Spectres Dagger + Blink Dagger.
Second skill is overpowered, not only is if full defense against creeps, it also silences.
Phase Shift is essentially being cycloned, cept you can move out of it, but you will take damage from it. It only delays your death for a little bit, radiance works while phased.

When I tried to test the ulti, it didnt work. But I guess it is supposed to be something like rupture, your not supposed to move away from it or it will stun you and deal additional damage.

It looks like crow courier.

My item build, BoT, Radiance, Butterfly, Satanic (or SnY), 2x Vanguard.

His armour and hp is very low at late game, therefore Butterfly, Satanic and Vanguard is quite necessary. You don't need much mana, only like two bracers early game. Illusionary orb will get you lots of early game kills because the ability to teleport is too imba.

wat abt necro book so wen u r phased the oda hero still takes dmg. and radiance

i think i get puck's ulti when you summon it 200 damage and 0.5 stun who ever go unto it if the coil break it has a bunos 200 damge and a 3 second stun and this only works if you put it on 600 range

This hero's map was temporarily removed bacause something along the lines of his ult causes a fatal error. happened to me many times. FATAL ERROR GRRR.

I think this hero has to much health. Just to make it more easy to kill because of his phase shift and his other OP abilities.

Ok, here is the ulti. You bond with any unit withing 600 range of yourself, they get stunned and damage. Then in the five seconds of the spell, if any one of the inflicted units go outside of the range, it deals additional damage and stun.

still don't get the ulti, i try it again and again and don't worked.... or it doesn't works on creep?

Lol... I downloaded the map before I went to sleep. The next day, first game I play, this guy screams 'DON'T PICK PUCK!!! FATAL ERROR!!!' and I'm just laughing my head off... then everyone on my side says they've gotten errors lol.

hes not bad but his ulti causes in game errors so icefrog should get to work on fixing tht. a noob on my team played and got wicked sick and i was rofl like wtf? he seems like a good hero so ill have to give him a try

hey use autocast for phase shift... it will shift you BEFORE you take a damage...
I avoided lot of Mirana's stun arrows or Lion's ulti ... 1 lvl is enough at early game :) ... when you have lvl4 of phase shift and you are going to die, use orb and immediately shift... then if your enemy hunts your orb, just run away. When he waits for you, just jump to your orb... it will drive your enemy crazy :)

you could do a nice combo with him: Illusionary orb then telepotr right behind the enemy then Wanning rift and finially your ulti to hopefully finish em of if u get enough attacks in. If thats not enough u colud always grab a dragoon

1st- like Shimmra said... 6.7 base stat wth? +3.5 per level? Is that like a record?

2nd- Not too bad but kind of irritating is that all 3 of his damaging abilities have little side irritations.. Silence, Stun, Teleportation..

3rd- The teleportation gets its own number, because that is beyond ridiculous. 1800 range for a Cheap tele? How stupid! its like a free kelens!! With damage!!

BTW if you can mention to me ONE hero that has a stat with +3.5 or above let me know.

i've already tested this hero and for me, his ulti is just a bonus!

just use all the time the 1st skill (the mana is cheap)

and if the enemy's hp is about half. use again the orb and tele then, wanning rift and just attack and attack (his base damage is higher than the other INT heroes)

MAAAAAAAAAAAAD IMBA! like wth??? crazy stat gain and crazy skills.... each skill has a side effect rigged... usually if u get a huge stat gain for one stat, the other stats get a small gain. not good stat gain for strength and agility and a HUGE stat gain for intelligence. its pretty absurd needs to be nurfed

Yesterday I faced him in three games and everyone(including me ) was abusing him. Now I am sure-he is pitiful

Look at his intel gain, he won't need an arcane ring. Theres no way you could know what Aghanims could do for this hero.
No mana items needed for this hero, only armour is this heroes greatest concern.

Can silence, can teleport, can nuke, can stun, can cause ministun to disrupt channeling, can evade attacks for half the time, can kill a wave of creeps using two skills, can flee, can chase, gains imba stat gain with the second highest intel gain.

How on earth did this hero win that competition? Even I submitted a hero that was balanced.

i get like 3 bracers, a bottle, euls, and travels.

this guys both a good ganker and a team player. and by far the 3rd skill is too good. i was avoiding almost everynuke that came my way. plus this guy cant be ganked either. if someone tries shoot of orb, phase, then teleport to orb.

what is the mana cost for the first skill?

Well a good strat for his ulti, would be to start with the coils use the silence while they're close, then teleport away and break the coils yourself.so first dmg+stun,dmg+silence,dmg+tele,extra dmg+stun,then go back in with a radiance or something and your third autocast so they dont kill u and finish up to 5 together.Just need a lothars to start and good mana.not to mention what a refresher can do :P his spells are cheap for such int. with just one cast you can easily deal up to 500 damage, to up to 5 heroes at the same time. no refreshers and radiances in, no dagons and no other heroes to pray upon the poor,damaged, stunned(twice), silenced enemies.

Btw I dont think he's that unbalanced. His armor, speed and hp are rather poor IMO. And despite his great skills, he's not much of a single enemy damager. Well he has phase shift and tele on the other hand :P

i sort of agree with your itemsbut i dont think eye of skadi will be very useful for this hero you would do better to get a mass dps item like mkb or buriza and other items like that as well as one or two fro survivabilty because if you get his damage up high enough his ulti is basically a five second disable and that is MASSIVE so you want as much dps as possible as you no longer need and disable/slow becasue your ulti and the orb to keep chasing will be plenty to kill the hero.
an interesting point is that you can use his first skill like morphlings waveform to escape just shoot it through the trees or cliffs and teleport to it. i would like to know what the orbs ms is because if its too slow people will just run away. i also think it should be targetable so if you click on a hero, any hero, with it it follows the hero around corners and stuff but that may be a bit imba. my build would be

aghanims (since i assume as he is int they will make his ulti increased by it)
Optional items are dagon, eye of skadi, guinsoo's, divine rapier, bloodstone, manta style, necro book. i think thats all i had to say. also someone make a guide for this guy asap because it would be interesting to read all the diffrent ways soeone could use him in a team.

at jeck062 the characters used in the campain are not the same ones as are in dota because they have different skills, some of the skills may be similar but they are no where near the same. basically the creators fo dota just used the same sprites for the dota characters as they were already there in the programming and they didn't have to create there own and since those characters were in the first campaign for frozen throne they were the easiest to use. Looking at mortred and maiv teh ONLY skill they have the same is shadow strike, blink is similar to blink strike and the ulti's are absolutly ntohing alike. also illidan's ulitmate is to turn into a demon that is much more powerful than terrorblades skill and other than that they have no similarity. so they are not the same heros just the same character models. like naix is a ghoul with a bit of makeup and other tahn that they are nothing alike as i dont see ghouls poisoning things and getting really big. lol.

Finally they make 6.48. Puck got picked instantly, and got 10-2 by the guy who was playing him for the first time. Go figure, riggedness.

Synergy - I woulda thought Orb FIRST to get close THEN Coils THEN Rift. Break the Coils... hmmm... could just run back so they either eat stun OR follow you into your tower lol...

Basically...

Orb, when up close teleport, Rift, kill.

If they're not dead then use Dagon.

i found out that it is more usable and a life-saver when you just leave it at LEVEL 1 and always AUTO-CASTED, even if your'e at LEVEL 25!!


because, sometimes when you are attacking someone and when he tries to attack you too,. you will disappear more often, you might wait for the DRAGON for about 3sec. to get back in action.

.75second is already enough to dodge those lighting bolt, burrowstrike, stormbolt. and get back in action and SILENCE those enemies as soon as possible!!

This guy is overpowered and has a potential to chase kill stun wtf, too overpowered. i got 9-3 its was sooo cool i was triple killing everyone.

Tried him out today.
Sure, I got beat up pretty bad, but in an APEM game, first try, what do you expect? And I still did some nice aoe-stunning, silencing and damage.
Quite fun hero, might play him some more! :)

just tried Puck earlier ...and its AWSOME!!.....i love Puck's skill specially Phase Shift...his ultimate is easy to use and cool .....Puck's unbeatable with Skadi...5stars for this hero ...

I don't think he's imba at all. His skills are great but I've seen teams do poorly with him and I've seen teams do well with him (hence he is balanced). Even with AOE silence and a .5s stun, he'll die very quickly if he charges in head first to try an execute his combo all the time

Fyi, for those of you who didnt know faerie dragon is a Night Elf unit, and normally has phase shift, so that skill was stolen straight out of wc3.

i'd definitly recommend taking his phase shift one level in early game. It clears for example axe's battle lust.

I have experienced and currently see a lot of mixed reviews on this guy. I've seen people (and personally have) use his skills and make effective defensive builds making him nearly unkillable with phase shift and orb/tele. However, I'd say 2 things: 1)As quoted earlier, Magina would definitely eat this guy up and be able to blink chase him. 2)Phase Shift at higher levels isn't worth putting on auto, b/c you'll get hit, wait for a few seconds and phase back in to be surrounded and nuked by enemies. That being said, PS does allow for puck to be an advanced attacker/silencer(disabler w/ guinsoo and skadi) and a tough puck can definitely open up the attack for the rest of the team.

Damn, this hero just got 100+ comments in just its first week of existion.

Pffftt, too many say he's imbalanced, but I think not. Hell yeah he has an overpowered int and int gain, but take a look again, his other stats are just meh. So, even if he has Phase Shift, he is very susceptible because of crappy HP and armor. He's just balanced, a smart team can take him down easily.

Imbalanced skills? Meh. Of course Int heroes need instant-damage nukes, he is just one of them. Simply a Hood of Defiance is enough to survive his full combo.

And this hero has 2 obvious counters.

1. Magina (duh lol)
2. Nerubian Assassin (Mana Burn hurts at start, and his backstab combo can bring him down... BUT BE CAREFUL OF PHASE SHIFT)

Well... its just mah opinions...

Everytime a new hero comes out, people always complain about it being imba (Huskar anyone?) In the end its just a lack of experience that people have for dealing with this hero. He's fairly weak early game because of his low str growth and the damage on his skills don't scale up late game. Interesting how people think these skills are imba when there are other unstoppable heroes late game that are much better.

Awesome hero. An awesome anti-channeling hero. And the guy who said he gets owned by anti-mage is half-right, cuz u can easily get away by sending off an illusionary orb, then silencing and while silenced, jump to the orb and run. As for killing heroes, I suggest:

1. Skadi (ranged skadi is not an orb)
2. SnY/Manta Style (the real orb)
3. BoT
4. Bloodstone
5. Radiance
6. HoT

Use these wisely. Manta style for 3x skadi. Does it work that way? hope so.

in the few times ive tried him, i found that while i did get a lot of kills, i also got almost as many deaths. that said as long as u get some hp on him then u can own without worrying too much about being owned in a couple of seconds
last time i used him i had skadi, treads, 2 bracers and was on my way to get a heart, got 10-8 and rlly helped team. oh btw his intel and mana regen is uber crazy, don't bother getting any mana regen, he doesn't need it, i just soloed bot and farmed and harrassed my way to some easy kills

if played right, u cant die, unless its anti mage with 2 bashers. i mean some on, a blink, a silence, a disspearing spell and a stun, just get dagon and skadi and u cant die..unless u suck at hotkeys

can somebody post a strategy for this HERO???.. pls..

i don't think Skadi and Desu stucks ....I don't also like Radiance because 600range is less spark for Radiance but its also a good item specially if you teleported next to the hero then Wanning Rift and Dream Coil...Dagon also a good finisher move...

I want to ask something. If puck use dream coil then a raijin use lightning grapple to someone who get coiled, does the coil break if the grapple is more than 600 range??????

yes it is! i already experience a scenario like that,

i DREAM COIL to Mirana and after the brief stun..She uses her LEAP, but when she lands on the ground, she got stunned for 3 seconds!

i think the case is also the same with raijin.. ^^

Beging game it's very good you use dagon after your ultimate spell.
Mid game it´s very good you buy guinso for suport your friends and linkin sphere too because after the Phase Shift you can evade other spell too
Late game it's good you buy Skadi for you get more stats (25) and get more healh and mana too.

Puck won all those entries because he was powerful..

But the thing is.. He's too powerful..

I gave a comment earlier that he was not imba.. I was wrong...

The problem is that his skills do almost evrything..

He's like 4 heroes in one.

-an illuminate + a blink?
-damage silencing?
-a built in wind walk?
-and the infamous dream coil?

I saw a couple of post who say that mighty puck is a uselesshero. Well for me PUCK is no.1.

He is the best since he can run right between 5 enemies with his Illusory Orb (R) then cast Wanning Rift (W) then his ultimate casted where the enemy will run home. The 1st thing you do when receiving 520 dmg cumulated from his 2 spells is to run away, and with ultimate stun + dmg, he will surely make a kill out of 5.
I think maelstrom is the perfect build because i had many occasions when the enemies escaped with low hp. So you need items for spread DMG. I have a replay i can send so you don't consider a full out of me

its ultimates use is when you casted it on the player (w/c is area)the player will be damaged 200 and will be stunned for 0.5 seconds as initial effect of the ultimate..then when that string thing snapped or when the enemy player goes further from the casted area..the enemy will be again damaged with 200 points and now will eb stunned for 3 seconds

This hero is totally IMBA I mean WTF. Any pro's dream, an 1800 range tele for free ? A silence that damages too? AND an auto cast phase shift that can block superior spells like meathook and snipers shot because if in auto cast it uses before taking damage. I Mean WTF Lol. AND +3.5 int per lvl = IMBA. Damage is high early game and spells are pro. THe only prob is the low armour but with assult cuirass... Scary.

phase shift owns early game, keep it on autocast and be careful not to get hit by creeps (easy if you never attack heroes). When you get nuked you'll lose 50-20 mana instead of 300 hp =]. I did this against tinker for awhile and every time he laser'd me it was a complete waste of mana. Eventually they learn to attack you with a ranged attack to trigger dream coil THEN cast but in that case you can just turn on autocast right after they attack once.

Lets you farm VERY easily early game.

this hero does not need an arcane ring just go dagon right away. orb + rift + dagon can make great early and with ulti mid game kills.

They made him weaker btw. Intel gain is like 2.4 now which is good

I think his ulti needs to be reworked... maybe a pulse that works if you walk in. Since right now its a kind of hard ulti to use right. My guess is to try and get the heroes on the outside ring that way its easy for them to break it.

Puck is one of my favourite heroes ! He has a very powerfull combo ORB , RIFT and ULT! My build for this " dragon " is

Just save money for a Radiance, and make itens to increase ur hp/mp (Like bloodstone, skadi) and gg :)

this hero is a killer,,,even laguna cannot kill this hero, if you activate 3rd skill... this hero is so good,,, this is one of my favorite... yummy... Puck is not jst an ordinary fucking hero... dats all folks...

Very nice and cute hero. It has also very nice combo. First use (r) to the target then press (e) if the orb hits the enemy. Then use (w) to dmg and silence. If enemy try to run use ulti. Very nice if u have also dagon...

Puck is rather squishy and his illusionary orb is like Potm stun or hook so Im not very good at it. He is pretty overpowered in the sense he can get like 300+ damage late game. but He can die very easily but then again thats why you have planeshift. hes a pretty good character but not easy. and too many hosts use puck.

when i play Allpick every time i choose this hero.The first thing that i take for him is Shiva's Guard.Then everything is very easy.If you make the right actions (orb,rift.shiva's freeze and ult) you'll be the manace for the others.The you make Disolator and Curias.After this build you'll have over +35 Armor and huge damage !

puk is so awsome but wtf is this glitch man. u know Puk 3rd skill phase shift u should desapear for a while and don take dmg rite. But luna can counter that in late game. y u ask well... Luna ult lvl 3 beta which cast 10 lucent beam which suppose to hit only 4times to one opponent got stack. well for example u got hit 3 time with eclipse and u still live u then phase shift then when u appear and when luna eclipes still goin the bird on top of her still on. u will get hit again 3 times or 4th not like u will survive but if u got heal and survive u also then desepear and as soon as u appear 3rd times even if luna eclipes allready ova and gone! u will get 3 eclipes on you so IT STACK wtf anyway so in total

i got hit 9times this only happen cause chen was around and heal me wit ult and riki heal wit mekam i dunno y he have but it help a bit etheir way i was dead anyway

the other day i was playing puck, against a rikimaru & he had like 250 hp & i use my ulti (dream coil) & it stunned & damaged him and he started running away and then he turned invisible & the coil never broke a second time. douse dream coil not work on invisible units even if you cast it on them when they are visible? has this happened to anybody els or is it just me?
