Born from the breath of the unrelenting wind, the Whisperer passes through the land like a lost soul. Although powerless in choosing her own direction, the Whisperer vows to become master of even the slightest movement in the air. She conquers opponents with slicing air and skillfully manuever in and out of combat, riding on waves of wind. The Whisperer is supplied with an infinite supply of air, and she will fight until her last breath of life draws out her soul to be given to the next Whisperer.

Gust of Wind (G)
Attuning her body to the elements of wind, the Wind Whisperer temporarily loses attack speed, but increases her movement greatly. However, due to the force of wind, the Whisperer may change direction unexpectedly during the duration.
Level 1 - Attack Speed -15%, Movement Speed +15%.
Level 2 - Attack Speed -20%, Movement Speed +20%.
Level 3 - Attack Speed -30%, Movement Speed +30%.
Level 4 - Attack Speed -40%, Movement Speed +35%.
These all last for 10 seconds.
Mana Cost: 80, 110, 140, 160
Cooldown: 25 seconds

Framework: This is used to get in or out of sticky situations. I was thinking about making this skill into the middle skill bar so she can cast it in two different ways: when you click the movement way, you select a destination where she will attempt to travel to, however, the force of wind may make her move in random directions for a period of time until she returns to her original path. The second way would be to go to a certain area and start attacking. The problem with this skill is that once its cast, you have to wait the full 10 seconds before you can control her again. How's that for nerfing?

Wind Blade (B)
Condensing air into a blade as sharp and deadly as steel, the Whisperer becomes a Melee Hero for a time. Her attack damage increases and she also has the chance of maiming an opponent.
Level 1 - Melee for 15 seconds. Attack increases by 10 damage. 4% chance of maiming.
Level 2 - Melee for 15 seconds. Attack increases by 20 damage. 7% chance of maiming.
Level 3 - Melee for 15 seconds. Attack increases by 30 damage. 8% chance of maiming.
Level 4 - Melee for 15 seconds. Attack increases by 40 damage. 10% chance of maiming.
Can be cast a second time to disable Melee and return to Ranged.
Mana Cost: 75, 105, 125, 140
Cooldown: 25 seconds

Framework: This is one of her abilities where she truly masters wind and can equip herself with a deadly blade. Wasn't sure whether to make this an orb effect or not, considering the probable chance to maim.

Crushing Wind (C)
Forcing wind to be crushed onto a single opponent, they are stunned by the force of the blow for a short duration and pushed backwards.
Level 1 - 80-110 damage. .5 second stun. 50 blow-back range.
Level 2 - 110-140 damage. 1 second stun. 70 blow-back range.
Level 3 - 140-180 damage. 1.5 second stun. 90 blow-back range.
Level 4 - 180-225 damage. 2 second stun. 100 blow-back range.
Mana Cost: 90, 120, 140, 150
Cooldown: 35, 25, 20, 15

Framework: This spell is to be used in conjunction with Wind Blade in order to stun the opponent and then use melee attacks on them. Also useful for stunning an enemy near an ally or allied tower.

Notes: Only thing I would change here are cooldowns and maybe damage, but they all look balanced.

Furious Cyclone (F)
Focusing wind into a swirled state, the Whisperer creates a slow-moving cyclone that travels a straight path from the casting spot. The Cyclone sucks enemies in and hurts those who are close enough. The cyclone ends after traveling a certain distance and blows enemies away.
Level 1 - Small cyclone, 400 range travel, slow suck-in. 45 Damage Per Second to enemies, 200 range blow distance. Affects heroes within 200 range, as heroes get closer, suck-in becomes more drastic.
Level 2 - Medium-Sized cyclone, 600 range travel, faster suck-in. 60 Damage Per Second to enemies, 240 range blow distance. Affects heroes within 200 range, as heroes get closer, suck-in becomes more drastic.
Level 3 - Even Bigger Cyclone, 900 range travel, "not gonna escape" suck-in. 75 Damage Per Second to enemies, 280 range blow distance. Affects heroes within 200 range, as heroes get closer, suck-in becomes more drastic.
The Whisperer and allies may be drawn into and blown away from the cyclone, but do not take damage.
Mana Cost: 240, 280, 320
Cooldown: 110, 100, 90

Framework: The last of her skills, the Whisperer uses this to attract enemies into a single spot and deal decent damage to them as well. This skill sets up allied attacks but may also fail due to enemies being blown away when the cyclone ends.

Notes: Either they just get sucked in like Enigma's black hole, or thrown about in circles taking damage as they hit captive creeps/heroes. Sound good?

Discussion:

Being an Agility type hero, raising Agility will only increaase some of the damage. Since most of the spells take up a considerable amount of mana, the hero will also need to be supplied with a larger mana pool or an increased mana regeneration. A recommended item build would be:

Now, this does cost a lot of money, but most of them can be achievable such as Hood, Guinsoo's, Hyperstone, and Power Treads in one game. Butterfly, however, is especially needed for when the Hero becomes Melee along with the Hyperstone.

Skill builds would start out with a level of Wind Walk, followed by alternating levels of Crushing Wind and Wind Blade. Wind Blade and Crushing Wind should be used simultaneously to stun and deal heavy damage to the opponent.

As of now, it is hard to tell what can be a best ally or a worst enemy. However, most AoE nukers such as Lina, and Leshrac would be optimal for Cyclone because enemies will be so bunched together. At the same time, these are also worst enemies because allies can be drawn into the cyclone and subject to deadly AoE spells.

Changelog:

2007-06-01: My friend suggested that "increasing cooldowns suck" so I got rid of that and put more details on Cyclone's function.
2007-06-01: Nerfed practically every skill, changed cool downs, mana costs, damages, percents of abilities. Ultimate changed slightly to further explain how it works. Enjoy~

nice hero but you can still make some changes

1st skill: 45% more movement speed wow!! and theres only 5 seconds between the time it runs out and you can activate it again. I suggest cooldown longer (treads negate the minus 30%).
2nd skill: make mana cost higher and... +55 damage... it's better than clinkz searing arrows and u got 15% of free maim. oulala
3rd skill: i like it
Ult: How much time does it last? or how much distance to have an idea?

anyways .. nice hero i really like the 2nd skill cuz it has a maim and bonus damage ... the 1st skill is cool too the bad is it can mislead u in other direction ... is the tornado has a duration ?

Ammmm, question to the ulti, how fast does it move?? Coz the damage varies on the movement of the cyclone.

Number 5th. You know what, this is a special hero, sounds good to me, but question for 1st skill: you say that she will change direction unexpectedly. what factors make her change? If it is random then that would be too odd..........

Skill 1 - additional ms is 45%? wow faster than Slardar's Sprint 40%.. nerf it because Whisperer natural ms is 330.. nerf its cooldown or ms xD

Skill 2 - wow thats more powerful than my hero idea Vincent Valentine ulti >_< nerf it... kind of IMBA ahohoho

Ok. Bard Man is here to force you to make changes. Here we go!

Gust of Wind: Hmmm... Ok. Yea. This is ok when you compare it to a hero with a wind walk. They gain some ms and you can't freakin touch them. And they don't have collision so they won't get blocked by creeps. The attack speed loss is a nice touch. In theory, a good way to balance it out, but it doesn't work out when you can still attack them like mad thanks to attack speed boosting items. Maybe raise the attack speed loss some more.

Wind Blade: Ok. What the hell. This is very imba. At level 4 the chance to maim is better then Sange and Yasha. Then there's the +55 damage. You should really nerf this big time.

Crushing Wind: Ok. A little minor nuke damage, a little bit of stun, and a little bit of Greater Bash. An altogether good skill. Bravo.

Furious Cyclone: Ok. I have a few questions about this one. Does it bind enemies to one place, or drag them around like bags of potatoes? Can enemies cast while thier being hit by this? And what about allies? This one confuses Bard Man.

General idea: This is a very good hero. I like the general idea used when making it. 'The infinite power of wind'. My only bit of confusion is this. Where does the Whisperer stand? Does she follow the Sentinel or the Scourge?

Your hero:
MS is too high... even Chaos
Knight is 320. I think your agi gain is a bit high and overall gain is also quite high which is 7.4 per lv...

Skill:
1st skill- MS bonus is very high. The highest in the game (I think). Very IMBA with your base MS. Needed to be nerfed.
2nd skill- The damage bonus and maim % is a bit high. Quite IMBA and is it an orb-effect skill? It should be...
3rd skill- It is ok with me. Nice skill though.
Ulti- How long the distance? How long is a unit can be suck in the cyclone? How far and the where is the direction of the unit when they are blown? Hmm... I think it is a good idea if the hero that been blown away have the knockback animation (plus the knockback damage) since the damage is decent... Just my opinion.

Overall, i give your hero idea a 7/10. Nice hero plus a new element hero in DotA.

Impossibly imba. Good skills etc but its unbelievable. Stat gain per level for example. Movespeed. The skills need some work but nothing as seriously wrong as what I just outlined. Perhaps define Cyclone a little better - Quote: "The Cyclone sucks enemies in [how close is that?] and hurts those who are close enough [ditto?]. The cyclone ends after traveling a certain distance [how far?] and blows enemies away [ditto?]." You see what I mean? Fix please, I know this would be a cool hero. No rating until you fix it, leave it for months, or scream obscenities at me (0/10 for that :P).

Raise ur cooldowns.. this is slighty imba. And for ultimate what about the Wind Whisperer turning into a cyclone itself? magic immune and slowing nearby enemys.. high cooldown nothing over 10 seconds at lvl 3 :D

Nice hero..! It doesn't need a Boots of Speed anymore at the start of a 3 on 3 match..! It's quite fast, but it's 1st skill is quite inconsiderable cause it changes your direction.. The 3rd skill is very cool...! About the Cyclone skill, how long is it? Anyways, nice work...

Awesome idea... but for the 1st skill.. what with the sudden change of direction?? how does it works???
Plus, with a few minor changes (refer to others).. it's a pretty cool hero..

Very nice concept, and not THAT imba. I actually think that you can LOWER cooldowns, especially for the crushing wind nuke, 8 seconds all around makes it like Zeus or Levi. 40 second cooldown for a nuke is rather ridiculous.

Personally, I wouldn't use it - too many things depend on luck - but the concept is very good!

Whoever mentioned turning into a cyclone itself would be kinda cool, I'll consider that, but at the same time it won't do too much except at level 3 with its pretty nice range.

Get rid of the blow back on the crushing wind, it's a good sill without it, plus you want to keep them as close as possible for your melee attacks to maximize its usefulness.

First skill is too unreliable, seems like blink with the mouse upside-down and your eyes closed.

wow 1st spell sux so bad... compair it to sprint... or dark seers surge. Just redoo that spell its bad and uncreative.

2nd spell sux.. Bad and uncreative.

3rd spell cds are way to high. Could u aat least compaire ur ideas to heros wih spells that are simalar to urs. Storm bolt only has a 7 second cd and deals more damage...
