Myst was once a soilder for the Scourge. After a failed mission, blame was unjustly pointed at Myst, who was then banished to the island of Kui'kantaku. This island was constantly under attack by elemental forces. A raging ocean constantly assaulted the shore with violent waves. The islands active volcano would often spurt up some lava, bringing fire and distruction in its wake. Blizzards and lightning storms are also no rarety to Kui`kantaku. In order for Myst to survive in such a harsh enviornment, he learned to manipulate, and, over time, control the elements. Myst has returned to the mainland to seek revenge on the Scourge. The only question now is how to kill them.

Elemental Blast (b)
Blast area for damage. Effects are depentant on "Elemental Mode." Range of 700 and damages enemies in its wake.
Level 1 - 100 Damage.150 AoE. -Water Mode- Splashes allies in its wake. Splashed allies gain +2 hp regen for 10 seconds. -Lightning mode- Shocks opponents for .75 second stun. -Ice Mode- Slows enemy attack and movement speed by 5% for 5 seconds -Fire Mode- Burns 5 hp per second for 5 seconds
Level 2 - 150 Damage. 200 AoE -Water Mode- Splashes allies in its wake. Splashed allies gain +3 hp regen for 10 seconds. -Lightning mode- Shocks opponents for 1 second stun. -Ice Mode- Slows enemy attack and movement speed by 10% for 5 seconds -Fire Mode- Burns 10 hp per second for 5 seconds
Level 3 - 200 Damage. 250 AoE -Water Mode- Splashes allies in its wake. Splashed allies gain +4 hp regen for 10 seconds. -Lightning mode- Shocks opponents for 1.25 second stun. -Ice Mode- Slows enemy attack and movement speed by 15% for 5 seconds -Fire Mode- Burns 15 hp per second for 5 seconds
Level 4 - 250 Damage. 300 AoE -Water Mode- Splashes allies in its wake. Splashed allies gain +5 hp regen for 10 seconds. -Lightning mode- Shocks opponents for 1.5 second stun. -Ice Mode- Slows enemy attack and movement speed by 20% for 5 seconds -Fire Mode- Burns 20 hp per second for 5 seconds
Change your "Elemental Mode" before attacking to get the desired effects. Other than its base damage, this attack can restore allied HP, stun opponents, slow opponents, or add some extra damage.
Mana Cost: 125/150/175/200
Cooldown: 25/20/15/10

Framework: The blast varies based on "Elemental Mode." With none active it is a white blast. Water Mode has a blue/teal blast, Lightning has a yellow blast, Ice has a light blue blast, and fire has a orange/red blast.

Notes: Change your "Elemental Mode" before attacking to get the desired effects. Other than its base damage, this attack can restore allied HP, stun opponents, slow opponents, or add some extra damage.

Elemental Defense (d)
Myst can summon a powerful shield. This shield also gains various effects determined by "Elemental Mode" Ice and Lightning modes effect attacking opponents while Water Mode has a 500 AoE and Fire Mode has a 250 AoE.
Level 1 - +2 Armor. -10% Damage from spells. Last 10 seconds. -Water Mode- +1 HP regen aura -Lightning mode- 10% chance to shock an attacking opponent for 20 damage and stun them for .25 second stun. -Ice Mode- Slows attacking enemies attack speed by 5% for 2 seconds -Fire Mode- Burns 5 hp per second for 2 seconds
Level 2 - +3 Armor. -15% Damage from spells. Last 15 seconds. -Water Mode- +2 HP regen -Lightning mode- 10% chance to shock an attacking opponent for 30 damage and stun them for .5 second stun. -Ice Mode- Slows attacking enemies attack speed by 10% for 2 seconds -Fire Mode- Burns 10 hp per second for 2 seconds
Level 3 - +4 Armor. -20% Damage from spells. Last 20 seconds. -Water Mode- +3 HP regen -Lightning mode- 10% chance to shock an attacking opponent for 40 damage and stun them for .75 second stun. -Ice Mode- Slows attacking enemies attack speed by 15% for 2 seconds -Fire Mode- Burns 15 hp per second for 2 seconds
Level 4 - +5 Armor. -25% Damage from spells. Last 25 seconds. -Water Mode- +4 HP regen -Lightning mode- 10% chance to shock an attacking opponent for 50 damage and stun them for 1 second stun. -Ice Mode- Slows attacking enemies attack speed by 20% for 2 seconds -Fire Mode- Burns 20 hp per second for 2 seconds
Mana Cost: 75/100/125/150
Cooldown: 30

Framework: Like "Elemental Blast" color of the shield depents on active "Elemental Mode"

Notes: Set your "Elemental Mode" then activate "Elemental Shield" to recieve a veriety of bonuses and effects. Damage, stun, slow, or heal; its your choice.

Elemental Mode (m)
This skill gives decent bonuses in itself, as well as adding effects to some of your other abilities. Click the icon to switch between modes.
Level 1 - Water Mode- Myst gains a water like build that allows some attacks to pass through without dealing damage and negates the effects of that attack. X% change. X = your current level.
Level 2 - Lightning Mode- Your attacks gain a X% chance to lauch a chain of lightning that deals 150 damage and jumps up to 3 times. X = your current level.
Level 3 - Ice Mode- Your attacks have a 10% chance to freeze an opponent for 1 seconds and deals 4X damage. X = your current level.
Level 4 - Fire Mode- Your attacks have 25% of the damage spash in a 200 AoE. Your attacks do +X damage. X = your current level.
Mana Cost: n/a
Cooldown: 1

Framework: Adds a faint glow around Mist. Color based on mode.

Notes: Adjust Myst to your liking, or to what the situation calls for.

Elemental Assault (a)
This attack does nothing unless "Elemental Mode" is at level 1 or higher. Based on the current "Elemental Mode" this attack will launch Tidal Wave (water), Ultra Chian Lightning (lightning), Freezing Blizzard (Ice), or Firestorm (fire).
Level 1 - Tidal Wave- Deals 350 damage and knocks enemies back 200. Range 500. AoE 500. -Ultra Chain Lightning- Base damage of 150. Gains 50 damage each jump. Jumps upto 4 times. 1 second stun for each target that is struck. -Freezing Blizzard- Targeted area is hit with 3 waves of ice that come raining down. Each wave deals 100 damage and slowing opponents for 5 seconds by 20%. -Firestorm- Hits with an initial blast of 300. Enemies in the wake suffer burning 25 HP per second for 5 seconds. Range 600. AoE 150.
Level 2 - Tidal Wave- Deals 500 damage and knocks enemies back 350. Range 550. AoE 550. -Ultra Chain Lightning- Base damage of 200. Gains 75 damage each jump. Jumps upto 5 times. 1.25 second stun for each target that is struck. -Freezing Blizzard- Targeted area is hit with 4 waves of ice that come raining down. Each wave deals 125 damage and slows enemies by 20%. -Firestorm- Hits with an initial blast of 400. Enemies in the wake suffer burning 50 HP per second for 5 seconds. Range 650. AoE 200.
Level 3 - Tidal Wave- Deals 650 damage and knocks enemies back 500. Range 600. AoE 600. -Ultra Chain Lightning- Base damage of 250. Gains 100 damage each jump. Jumps upto 6 times. 1.5 second stun for each target that is struck. -Freezing Blizzard- Targeted area is hit with 5 waves of ice that come raining down. Each wave deals 150 damage and slows opponents for 5 seconds by 20% -Firestorm- Hits with an initial blast of 500. Enemies in the wake suffer burning 75 HP per second for 5 seconds. Range 700. AoE 250.
Mana Cost: 300/450/600
Cooldown: 180/150/120

Early Game Items

Boots of Speed , Ring of Basilius , Perseverance , Staff of Wizardry , and Blades of Attack or Void Stone (depending on what you want to make later with Staff of Wizzardry.

Mid Game Items

Boots of Travel or Power Treads , Eul`s Scepter of Divinity or Dagon , Perseverance , and Ultimate Orb

Late Game Items

Boots of Travel , or Power Treads , Eul`s Scepter of Divinity or Dagon , Linken`s Sphere , Eye of Skadi , and Aghanim`s Scepter , Refresher Orb , or Guinsoo`s Scythe of Vyse

Powerful Allies

Mist can change to work with whatever allies are availible. Mist can slow or stun enemies while large damage attackers do their thing. Mist can provide minor healing to allies in down time. Mist can switch to "Fire Mode" and deal some extra damage when needed.

Enemies

The biggest things to watch out for is dissablers and mana killers. Mist is all about casting the right spell at the right time, anything that interfers is a problem.

Changelog:

2007-06-06: Basically just toned down "Ultra Chain Lightning" and "Freezing Storm" so that they are more balanced.

Just hope bugs wont happen on a real game. Ulti needs nerfing, too strong especially in team battles.

Okay, just nerf ultra chain lightning and freezing blizzard.
Ultra chain lightning- The last jump at level 3 will be the equivalent of level 4 laguna blade, not to mention that there is a stun for each of them.
Freezing blizzard- Is the two second freeze per wave? If so you should nerf it. The damage is huge, at level 3 you have almost the same damage as level 3 sonic wave, and you have a 2 second disable on top of that.

This is awesome but the ult needs serious nerfing. Damage and everything else a bit. Having a Bash skill and a Freeze skill together are imba, BUT, you can't have both cause of modes and both have a low chance only... cool effect and not so imba, well done. I'll rate after more comments and fixes.

Wow. Bard Man is shocked. He will have to think very hard as he rates your hero.

Elemental Blast: Good damage, now let's talk about the effects.
`Water Mode` This seems like good support for low hp heroes and tanks. Fine as it is.
`Lightning Moge` This is also pretty good. No need to change.
`Ice mode` good slow effect. No changing it.
`Fire Mode` Good for harassing. Leave it be.

Elemental Defense: Armor boost and spell and resistance are fine. Effect time.
`Water Mode` More support. Good to help wounded allies.
`Lightning Mode` Ok, a near match for Tiny's Craggy Exterior. Good for getting away from perma-stunners.
`Ice Mode` Another good slowdown ability. Could help against perma stunners, but not that great.
`Fire mode` Great way to make people thing twice about chasing you.

Elemental Mode:
`Water Mode` Odd dodge ability. Very nice.
`Lightning Mode` Maelstrom effect. Nothing too bad.
`Ice Mode` Kinda like Rylai's Frostbite. Very cool(No pun intended).
`Fire Mode` That will help with farming, and it will five you a little extra damage.

Elemental Assault: Ok, this is a bit scary. Let's dive in shall we?
`Water Mode: Tidal Wave` This could easily kill a group of fleeing heroes who've gotten an ass kicking, but escaped from most of your allies, or save an ally from a gank.
`Lightning Mode: Ultra Chain Lightning` This could be seen as imba because at the last just, it's damage is equal to Lina's Laguna Blade at max, but you'd only get to use this if there were 10+ targets for it, and with that many targets in one place, all that damage could easily be wasted on the creeps, and never hit the heroes. The stun could still be annoying through if it hits a hero, but it's only 1.5 seconds.Personally, I think it's just fine.
`Ice Mode: Freezing Blizzard` ok, this seems a bit too strong. aty max, this can do 800 damage to one target, but what I need to know is if each wave freezes the target. If so, nerfing would be wise, if not, then there isn't that much of a problem.
`Fire Mode: Firestorm` Very good skill. Blast them with a big ol' 500 bomb then let them suffer. all you need now is to have him shout 'TROGDOR!' when he casts it.

Overall: This is a good hero, but I don't understand why you would put water AND ice both, but not have earth. Oh well. It's up to you. I'll give ya a rating after you explain Freezing Blizzard a bit more.

Probably one of the most creative hero ideas ive seen in a while. Great job. The ult is a little imba, I agree with Bard Man's Diagnosis. Great Hero would be lots of fun to play w/.

@Bard Man-I think he chose the elements more based of Final Fantasy (fire/ice, water/lightning), that could explain no earth.

Sorry about the double post, but since he is a int. hero, u may want to consider making ur level 3 of ur ult, the level 4 scepter, that would basically remove the imbaness.

Umm. IN ADDITION to what I've said, whats with Elemental Mode - do you gain the option of the next mode with level, or did you mean to have every mode ramp up like in the ult?
Also, are we right to assume the colors for the second, third, and fourth skills are based off the colors for the first skill or were you very lazy -.- I vote lazy, you need an actual idea of the ult's Framework besides "They all look bad ass". Also (third time or so) clarify Freezing Blizzard.

SRy I am maybe saying stupidness in first comment ,vut it aint clear if we can here swap in elemetal modes and the hero as I said is from the gametype on RoC(doomsday, doomsday is like frozenthrone dota but I may saz it is just as good as Dota and belive me in that soo I think you should try it and sry too type this here cause you may think that this aint good here) and if you didnt take it from doomsday then have a look at it in a doomsday map( I aint sure they still host doomsday maps) but irts nice this hero but cause I am almost sure made from not your own brain(or maybe you made it in doomsday the samekind of elemental hero). Sorry it took me so long to reply, the last several times I have logged on my hero was still not approved

The consensus that I am picking up on is that Myst is creative, complicated, and the ultimate is too powerful, especially the Ultimate Chain Lightning and Freezing Blizzard. I have done some tweaking to nerf parts of the Ultimate.

Believe it or not, I tried to make it as simple as I could without leaving out important information

Ok, I have also noticed that some people are confused by the workings of elemental mode
You simply click it to switch (or click m)
Only one mode can be active at one time
Also, there is no cooldown or mana cost for switching

A few other things...
'Freezing Blizzard' no longer freezes, and it comes down in waves (similar to pitlords fire attack)
'Ultra Chain Lightning' can only hit a selected target once

Nerf means making a spell less good for balance with the game.

Good skills but surely it will be quite hard to make with all the changing elements and things. Bugs would be likely. Really creative and good ideas on the elemental mode.

I would agree with putting the level 3 of your ultimate for when you get the Ahganim's Scepter. I would also like to know if Ice Storm freezes every wave. Mabye just have it slow every wave instead of freeze? Also, it isn't imba, there are many other heroes already in dota that are imba. It's just the damage and the freeze is all. Don't listen to those people who say its 'imba'. I don't think anyone else would have been able to be this creative with a hero. They're just jealous haha.
