Ashe, given the powers of the dawn shard, learned advanced magic by herself. The dawn shard is a legendary nethicite hidden within the tombs of raithwall. Although she can't access the full power of these spells, she still tries her best. The sentinel knew about her, since she has access to one of the most devastating spells, Rylai Crestfall asked her to join one of the Sentinels in the war. She didn't hesitate since it is a war. Ashe knew she could master her arcane magics there. Without another action, she joined the Sentinels.

Protect (E)
Ashe summons a magical aura around a friendly unit, reducing damage taken.
Level 1 - Increases damage reduction by 10%. Lasts for 15 seconds.
Level 2 - Increases damage reduction by 17%. Lasts for 18 seconds.
Level 3 - Increases damage reduction by 24%. Lasts for 21 seconds.
Level 4 - Increases damage reduction by 30%. Lasts for 24 seconds.
Helps against DPS heroes.
Mana Cost: 120
Cooldown: 20/18/16/14

Framework: Bluish aura around the affected unit.

Haste (T)
Ashe targets any unit with magic that seems to meddle with time itself. Lasts 15 seconds at all levels.
Level 1 - Lessens all of the skill's cooldown by 10%. Increases attack speed, and movement speed by 10%
Level 2 - Lessens all of the skill's cooldown by 15%. Increases attack speed, and movement speed by 15%
Level 3 - Lessens all of the skill's cooldown by 20%. Increases attack speed, and movement speed by 20%
Level 4 - Lessens all of the skill's cooldown by 25%. Increases attack speed, and movement speed by 25%
Can be targeted to friendly and enemy units. You'll see why later.
Mana Cost: 120/150/180/210
Cooldown: 15

Framework: None.

Notes: Pretty useful especially to spell casters.

Renew (R)
Ashe gained the power from the dawn shard to heal friendly/enemy units. Affected by spell resistance.
Level 1 - Heals for 175 HP.
Level 2 - Heals for 270 HP.
Level 3 - Heals for 355 HP.
Level 4 - Heals for 430 HP.
It might look that the heal is imba since it heals for 430 HP at level 4, but it isn't. It is affected by spell resistance. Example, you target Magina with HoD and spell shield level 4, you would only heal very minimal HP.
Mana Cost: 100/115/130/145
Cooldown: 13/12/11/10

Framework: A small wisp travelling from Ashe to the target unit. wisp movement speed is 522.

Notes: It doesn't damage enemy units near the healed unit. So it isn't that imba.

Reverse (V)
Ashe gained the ultimate power of the dawn shard, arcane magic reverse. Reverses effects on one unit. Can target Ashe, friendly and enemy units.
Level 1 - Lowers magic resistance by 20%. Lasts for 10 seconds.
Level 2 - Lowers magic resistance by 30%. Lasts for 15 seconds.
Level 3 - Lowers magic resistance by 40%. Lasts for 20 seconds.
If you can't understand fully, let me give examples.
If an enemy doombringer dooms you, Ashe, with reverse on, doom would simply heal you per second.
If you use renew on an enemy that you targeted with reverse, renew would damage that unit.

Mana Cost: 200/250/300
Cooldown: 120/110/100

Framework: I dunno..

Notes: Base armor and damage reduction stays as is. but if targeted with skills that affect armor or damage reduction(amplify damage, presence of the dark lord, cuirass, deso, protect, etc..), effects of reverse still occurs.

Discussion:

Basically, this hero needs more than fast hands to use. You need more brains than speed when using this hero. Especially when you already have reverse. I'll bet most people who will read my hero idea won't read most of this part already. But still, here goes :

Ashe is a very good support hero. She can support a whole team by her spells, yet, with reverse, she can also be a devastating spell caster, as said, Ashe the ARCANIST.

Protect Protect - Simply used to help some ally tanks. Helps very well in terms of survivability.

Haste Haste - This skill makes Ashe support spell casters. Increases ally nuker's offense.

Renew Renew - The healing spell of Ashe. Very powerful nuke when comboed with Reverse.

Reverse Reverse - The spell that DEFINES Ashe. this skill can be very useful in some times. one such example is an ally pudge going to rush through a whole team. a reversed pudge would heal himself by 100/second because of rot and reverse. Pretty useful eh?

Skill Combos

Reverse Renew VERY POWERFUL NUKE.

Haste Protect Battle ready hero.

Reverse Haste Slow enemy hero with higher spell cooldowns. Too bad for spell casters.

Skill Build

Ashe is a very flexible hero. Her skill build depends on your allies.

Example :

You have 2 tanks on your team. You will need protect and renew at the start.

You have powerful heavy nukers on your team. You will need haste and renew.

But me myself, would prefer to use the renew and haste skill build at the start. You can even go for the renew + stats if you'd want to spam renew.

Item builds

Spammer Ashe

Spammer ashe - arcane ring is really optional. as well as refresher orb.

Support Ashe

Support Ashe - well, supports more.

Killer Ashe

Killer ashe - pretty expensive. almost impossible to farm for in a 1 hour game. but with this build, you are pretty much invulnerable since you have REVERSE. use it on yourself, most probably the enemy would have no heals. or if they have, it would not as strong as yours.

BEWARE!

if you reverse yourself and have omniknight on your team, and uses guardian angel, you would have a whopping -1000 ARMOR!

Early game strategy

Most probably you won't be reading this part already @_@, but still i have to do this for those who are willing to read it all. You have 550 range, which is pretty near average.

if your enemy is melee :

HARASS! but don't forget to last hit and deny.

if your enemy is ranged :

last hit and deny. concentrate on those 2. don't worry if you get harassed a little, you have a good heal.

you should be farming for a eul's for a guinsoo.

Mid game strategy

HUNT! but pick those who you will hunt. when you still have low HP and don't have protect, don't fight heavy nukers yet. with the exception of that you have maxed renew and haste with reverse of course. you heal yourself, heal your enemey(with reverse of course) and most probably you'd win.

*ahem*beware of huskar, his inner vitality might damage him a lot with reverse, but life break will heal him alot also..*ahem*

Late game strategy

you would probably have very high mana regen for now. finish the game before your enemy gets rapiers to finish off your team. your role here now is to support, no longer to kill. finish the game once and for all. and remember to renew your allies when they need it!

i won't tire myself putting all the heroes you have good synergy with. just think of heroes that can make use of haste, protect, and reverse. (every hero can need your renew)

Dude, i read it again, and all of her skill is based on FFXII skills. Just look at haste, its the same use as in FFXII. Every skill is the same... Be more creative, create your own skills and named them!!!

damage reduction is different from spell resistance, so, it doesn't reduce spell damage, only physical attacks.

reverse didn't decrease magick resistance.
renew wasn't affected by magick resistance also.
the skills and the names might come from FFXII but the skills are tweaked with hard work and thinking so, it's not ALL from FFXII.

Great hero, but i have some questions:
1. Can you target Protect to yourself?
2. Can Haste affect you and your skills?
3. 4th skill maybe too much. If for example, an enemy Lion used Finger of Death on you, will you be healed? If an enemy Earthshaker used Echoslam on you, do all his shockwaves heal you as well?

Lastly, the cooldown of Renew is too low. Make it 20/19/18/17 seconds. To prevent spamming. Just a suggestion.
But overall hero is nice. 8/10 on you.

i liked your suggestion, when i made renew, i didn't take into mind that haste would make renew the most spammable heal spell in dota, so i'd nerf the cooldown a bit.

i'd lower the duration of reverse a bit.
so, others, don't complain that much about reverse.

i'll also make ulti's unaffected by haste so it wouldn't be abused.

interesting, 1st skill seems imba to me, like 14sec cd, makes say naix with a curias practically unkillable, does it stack with itself? if so way to imba, rest of skills are ok, except i would lower ulti duration a bit, maybe 10 at all levels... idk 20secs seems imba to me. (im positive that naix can get at least 40% dmg reduction, so if it stacks....)
naix is already practically unkillable with lifesteal and massive armour so like an extra 30% reduction...
i guess her stats kinda make up for it.
still dont like first skill.

renew seems a bit spamable to be, maybe a few more secs.

would love to play it though.

Oh this is sweet. Very cool synergy. But one thing: if all the spells are based around Reverse, wouldn't it be kinda lame if you can only do it once every two minutes? It oughta have about 20 or 30 seconds cooldown. Consider, it still costs a heap. Think of Tinker for comparison.

You forgot to put in Reverse-Protect. That'd work like Amp Damage I'm sure. I bet you knew about it though.

What do you mean by "effects"?I hope you mean only spells otherwise it should reverse hp and mana regeneration too!!!In any case it still is kinda imba since all attacks heal you.Only omni would be able to dmg you during these 20sec!!!(omg) Change it completely,though it is a good idea,it is very complicated and imba.
Your other skills are pretty balanced and not too imba BUT look at those stats! These are very high stats even for a support hero. I recommend ou change your ulti into a nuke or into sth like dirge's ulti plague which pretty much does what reverse and one of your skill does.

Good hero, lots of synergy, but the ult is a little imba, id make it something like reverses effects of "buff/debuffs" so then regular attacks/spells would still damage you but anything that creates a DOT or a passive increase to a particular stat would be reversed, this would make the here still killable but some very fun things could happen. imagine ursa w/ reverse, slowest attack speed in the game, hehe. Well thats my idea, will rate after first set of changes.

mmm..hm... i never knew onholy was a FFXII fan lol. Anyway, regarding the topic, since reverse makes damage become heals and heals ecome damage, hat about lifesteals? for example, if i gave reverse to the opponent naix and he attacks me, does he get 40% damage instead of 40% lifesteal?

Sigh. I am totally sure its only the effects of ASHE'S spells that are affected by Reverse. UnholY, correct me if I'm wrong. Actually, things you say in your discussion leads to me being wrong. But... really, having abilities besides Ashe's spells be affected by Reverse is just too dodgy... Think Slayer. 1250 damage? Nooo, 1250 HEAL. I mean, come on...

Another thing you mentioned is DOOM casting DOOM on you. Doom silences the hero casted on so she couldnt use her ulti there

um, not really any attack spells on there, not until level 6 anyway, and its only like 20 secs every 2 minutes to deal like 400 dmg every 10 seconds... not great. but apart from that, pretty gud

Double post. Okay, I forgot to ask you this question. If you have an ally Omniknight, and he used Purification on you when you have Reverse, will Purification damage you? And will you also get damaged when Purist used Guardian Angel?

it would be kewl if you could reverse an ally then dagon them to heal 400(depending on level)lol. or reverse an ally who is hexed then hex them to turn them back to normal haha. reverse mana drain rofl. omg so many things that you could do. omfg reverse toss so tiny tosses himself adn gets stunned/damage, reverse slardars ulti to get bonus armor, reverse a poisonned ally so they get bonus ms and health back omg it leaves so much up to the imagination, and intellignece of teh user. this also makes her pretty imba, lol. i reckon though that if oyu wanted to get them(dota admin peoples, or just some smart friend) to create the code for the hero in a trial map (ie 6.46# or any other symbol) casue then people could try out the hero to see how good/bad they are and whether they are imba or not before they comment. good overall idea though its like the ultimate dazzle.

i will put everything that reverse affects after i change it so it would be more understandable. yes, purification would damage anyone with reverse buff, guardian angel would do -1000 armor to the reversed unit.

yes, slow skills/attacks would speed up the reversed unit.

reverse will not affect base attack speed(and attack speed from agi and items), and movement speed or stats.
but reverse would affect skills/buffs that play with attack speed(overpower, grave chill, poison attack, frost attack, etc..) and movement speed(grave chill, degen aura, etc..).

reverse-protect would lower the target's damage reduction but you'll just end up healing the target more if you attack them. so, it isn't much of a synergy. reverse-renew is a good one though. especially when spammed.

Honestly it makes more sense to have it just reverse Ashe's spells. And how do you spam reverse-renew when it has a 100 second cooldown at best? See my point about that earlier.

Only sad thing i can think of here is the 2nd skill. Unfortunately, there is no code for reducing the cooldown by percentage, only the refresh ability cooldowns in making the map... That's what killed my first hero idea...

Very cool hero i guess... would like to see it in action, but 1st 2 things i need to clarify...
1. Does haste work on cooling down skills? Or do i need to cast the skill and then haste will have the effect on the cd, instead of e.g. Seleton King's ulti cd half-way through, and cast haste will "fasten" the cd?

2. Ulti (reverse) needs to be more explained. What does "effects" mean? Could make it only affects normal active skills (non-ulti) that does damage but in reverse, e.g. pudge rot would heal around 112hp/sec considering magic resistance, lion's impale would heal but still have stun effect, necro would heal/dmg in reverse... but not like ulti, cuz it'll be imba, considering doom could heal, epic also. Yeah, forsee many bugs as well, lol

hey, just imagine, i dont see an imba, because, as i think unholy thinks, it works out, imagine this situation: youve got a huskar on their team, his ulti heals him still dmgs u, in apem, rush to counter it, easy. Another example, if, chen was on your team, and he used ulti without knowing you had yours, the effects would be devistating, to you, it REVERSES the roles of a friendly chen and an enemy zeus xD, id say if its just nerfed a tiny bit, itll be fine. ill post again if responded to.

reverse is a bit too powerful, all offensive skills will immediately heal any hero more than the damage wouldve deal. there arent that many healin abilities enemy heroes could use against u when reverse is activated. meanin any hero that relies on spells are completely useless against this hero and those who rely on brute strength can only beat her.

This is a pretty creative hero that would be pretty fun to use however i need to agree that 30% damage reduction is a ton for only 120 mana. Im ok with keeping the reduction the same but then you need to significantly incfease the mana cost so lvl four of it is at least 200+ mana. As you said its not like youl be spamming it anyways: only useing it selectivly on tanks in certain situations. I think virtually the reverse about haste: if your gonna bee using it all the time on yourself and ur buddy spellcasters it cant cost 210 mana at lvl four. That would only make this skill applicable at late game when ats and movespeed is no match for perma stun and huge dps from someone like mortred. I like this skill alot but you need to lower the mana cost to make it useful. Adressing those doubters of the finial skill: I like her finial skill alot because although in certain situation you could be healed by like 1000 or something you really dont know when lion is gonna pop out from seemingly nowhere and kill you. Even if there is a confrontation and you use it too early the enemies wont target you or whoever and if you use it too late you can probably be killed easily without spells anyways. But then again is used corectly in the perfect time this skill could really help alot. Nice job 9/10

Protect: This skill is good. Leave it as is.

Haste: This spell tweaks Bard Man's pubic hair. Take into account Lion with the Scepter getting hit with Haste. He'd be able to chase down an enemy and give him the finger twice. Maybe you should reduce the cooldown reduction.

Renew: Bard Man agrees with Faust. Raise the cooldown.

Reverse: Oooo. Bard Man like. Here's a thought Pugna using Life drain on you. REVERSE! He dies, you heal. Five kinds of kickass. Oh and one more thing. What happens if Tiny throws you and you have reverse on? Does he throw himself?

Bard Man hopes that you all will welcome him back with open arms. Buh Bye!

Well Nice hero.
But Its overpowered, with haste reverse and healing spell, any hero will be just dead.

You should lower the health healed and change the lower cooldown of haste into seconds, not percentage. Otherwise, too overpowered, imagine 400dmg every 2sec .
And i don't think the 1st skill does very mush uses .

I love this hero! She is simply different from other heroes that base on stun, slow and damage spells. I think it would be great fun playing her with her skills, they could mess you up, but even help you! Just 1 question- you have 20 sec reverse on lvl 16, so that means you're practically invulnerable against everything?

id say get this hero to be played! i will not say anything bad or good until i get to use Ashe.. she can still be changed between patches if some people complained right?
