Long ago The Seraphim Soldier known as stellar along with two others cleansed themselves of evil to seek purity. Though they were able to do this, their darkness found form. The darkness that came from Stellar was born as The Zero Soldier. A complete opposite of his pure side, The Zero Soldier is a being of destruction who sees all others as targets for his destructive power. When the zero Soldier noticed his pure side taking up arms with the Sentinel, he decided to join the Scourge in order to destroy the Seraphim Soldier. Even so, this doesn't mean that Zero will obey the Lich King. After he gets what he wants, he may destroy the Scourge as well...

Dark Tendrils (T)
Adorning the head of the Zero Soldier are a number of tentacle like appendages which he uses for imapling enemies among 'other' things. Once impaled, he draws them in to kill them.
Level 1 - Launches 4 tentacles at 4 nearby enemies, dealing 80 damage and pulling them to Zero.
Level 2 - Launches 5 tentacles at 5 nearby enemies, dealing 150 damage and pulling them to Zero.
Level 3 - Launches 6 tentacles at 6 nearby enemies, dealing 220 damage and pulling them to Zero.
Level 4 - Launches 7 tentacles at 7 nearby enemies, dealing 290 damage and pulling them to Zero.
Max Range for this is 500
Mana Cost: 140
Cooldown: 15

Framework: The tentacles are the same as the ones used by the Forgotten ones on their side protruding from Zero.

Notes: This a perfect skill for farming and for pulling in a hero who tries to escape.

Evil's Purity (V)
Born of the darkness of the Seraphim Soldier, Zero is a being who is truely pure evil. This putrid purity gives him great power, and makes an already horrfying foe even worse.
Level 1 - Gives Zero plus 3 hp regen and 10% more damage
Level 2 - Gives Zero plus 4 hp regen and 14% more damage
Level 3 - Gives Zero plus 5 hp regen and 18% more damage
Level 4 - Gives Zero plus 6 hp regen and 22% more damage
Mana Cost: n/a
Cooldown: n/a

Framework: A dark aura around Zero.

Notes: A simple boost for Zero.

Mahtelhcra (H)
The dark opposite to the Seraphim Soldier's Archletham, Mahtelhcra is just as strong as it's pure counterpart if not more powerful. Those who fight against Zero will have the edge of this blade as the very last thing they see...
Level 1 - Gives Zero a 10% chance to deal 1.25 damage and a 10% chance to activate Combustion when he kills an enemy unit. Combustion causes an enemy to explode upon death, dealing 90 damage to nearby enemy units.
Level 2 - Gives Zero a 10% chance to deal 1.75 damage and a 15% chance to activate Combustion when he kills an enemy unit. Combustion causes an enemy to explode upon death, dealing 150 damage to nearby enemy units.
Level 3 - Gives Zero a 10% chance to deal 2.25 damage and a 20% chance to activate Combustion when he kills an enemy unit. Combustion causes an enemy to explode upon death, dealing 210 damage to nearby enemy units.
Level 4 - Gives Zero a 10% chance to deal 2.75 damage and a 25% chance to activate Combustion when he kills an enemy unit. Combustion causes an enemy to explode upon death, dealing 270 damage to nearby enemy units.
AoE of combusted units is 300

Orb Effect
Mana Cost: n/a
Cooldown: n/a

Framework: Combustion's explosion effect is the same as you get when siege kills something organic.

Notes: Farming and killing baby.

Mahtelhcra Release (E)
Though Mahtelhcra was created when Archletham was purified with it's wielder, Mahtelhcra is said to posses even greater destructive power. When Zero commands it, Mahtelhcra can release a blast of untainted darkness in a wave, dealing damage and causing some enemies to combust.
Level 1 - Deals 350 damage in a wave with a range of 600. Has a 25% chance to cause enemy creeps to explode, dealing damage to all units around them.
Level 2 - Deals 500 damage in a wave with a range of 700. Has a 30% chance to cause enemy creeps to explode, dealing damage to all units around them.
Level 3 - Deals 650 damage in a wave with a range of 800. Has a 35% chance to cause enemy creeps to explode, dealing damage to all units around them.
The damage for combustion all depends on the level of Mahtelhcra. If no points have been put into Mahtelhcra, then Combustion will only deal 100 damage.
Mana Cost: 200/250/300
Cooldown: 140/120/100

Framework: An expanding red wave expelled from Zero's position.

Notes: A beautifully deadly skill that could be the perfect ender to a creep push.

Vile Skill Synergy:

Dark Tendrils

Dark Tendrils: This skill is gonna be alot of fun for many of you. It'll keep the enemy close to you while you smash them good in the face. Plus, it creates synergy with any hero with an AoE skill like Azgalor, but the one who will really love you when you use this is Axe. You can pull in the enemy and he can keep them there so you can both kill them.

Evil

Evil's Purity: this skill is meant for two things. To keep you in the heat of battle and to make the enemy beg for mercy. Now everyone, Bard Man has been dabbling in mind reading and fortune telling and he knows what you'll say. "It's too strong." "Too much damage boost." "The regen is Imba." Ok, here's a little FYI: Davion gains about half the regen from his Dragon Blood skill plus an armor boost and Shendelzare Silkwood gives everyone around her more damage with her Command Aura. Now please cool it.

UPDATE: I've lowered the regen for this a little, but raised the damage.

Mahtelhcra

Mahtelhcra: Behold a skill that is almost perfect for farming and still effective for regular combat. Ok people. bard Man knows what you're gonna say. "The Critical hit is imba." "This hero is imba." "Combustion is too strong." Well listen to Bard Man you nay- sayers. Look at Leoric's critical strike. Seem familliar? The thing that separates this from his is the lower chance whic I gave t to keep it from being too strong. As for Combustion, look at the Crixalis and his Caustic Finale. Yes, the damage for Combustion is stronger, but it only has a 25% chance of activating. Caustic Finale works every time as long as you kill something. That's why I made combustion stronger. Now don't whine!

Mahtelhcra Release

Mahtelhcra Release: Behold one of Bard Man's greatest skills. With this any hero standing too close to the creeps during a push will be forced to to your sheer awesomeness. This skill will also screw over summoner heroes like Dirge, Furion, and Ezalor. It also makes for a perfect way to kill anybody trying to lead a creep push like an idiot. Hell, it can even be used to pick off anybody who escaed the range of your Dark Tendrils. And Bard Man is having another vision. "It does too much damage." "It's imba." "Too much damage with Combustion." Shut up. One: This skill is WEAKER then Akasha's Sonic Wave. Two: Combustion only has a 35% chance of even going off at max. Three: If this skill catches you and you're in the middle of a creep wave, can you really blame anyone BUT yourself?

UPDATE: Lowered the base damage a little bit for all levels and raised the mana Cost.

Aight, time to talk about builds for this bastard. There are many builds you can use to rape your enemies. Bard Man's not gonna discuss them all here. He'll just give you a few good ideas.

Dagon

Dagon (Any Level):A perfect item to synergize with your skills. Your ult could rape many heroes, but for those that live, this becomes the finale. And it could be the thing that snags the dkill after you draw someone back with your first skill.

Vladmir`s Offering

Vladamir's Offering: This is to, of course, make up for the fact that you already have an orb effect. now you can get life steal and keep your Combustion.

Heart of Tarrasque

Heart of Tarrasque: Does Bard Man really need to explain it?

Cranium Basher

Cranium Basher: See above.

Assault Cuirass

Assault Cuirass: This you might just wanna get for poops n'giggles or because you grabbed a pair of bashers. Either way, it's a good thing.

Lothar`s Edge

Lother's Edge: When all else fails, run like hell! But hey, this could be the best way to start a combo of cruelty.

Kelens Dagger of Escape

Kelen's Dagger of Escape: See above!

Battle Fury

Battlefury: If Bard Man needs to explain the purpose of this thing, you should just delete DotA from your maps folder.

Bloodstone

Bloodstone: This is kinda obvious, but not so much that it needs a rude message. Rack up the kills, get a few charges for this, then if you die you'll come back sooner.

As you can probably guess by looking above, tanks are guys you want to avoid. That can't be stressed enough with Leoric and N'aix. They both have lifestealing skills and can be impossible to take head on. The rest should just be avoided unless you have a buddy since they'll get alot more HP then you naturally.

Dark Terror - The Faceless Void Jah’rakal - The Troll Warlord Barathrum - The Spiritbreaker Magina - The Anti-Mage Syllabear - The Lone Druid

The five you see above should be easily recognized if you have been playing DotA for more then a week. They are the god awful perma-stunners. Now I know a bunch of you might be wondering why Syllabear is up there, but think about what happens when you give his bear a pair of those bashers. Anyway, avoid direct combat against them. Magina especially because of his mana burn. You don't got alot of mana to spare so he could REALLY get under your skin.

Well y'all this is were Bard Man ends it. Stay tuned for next time. Bard Man will be bringing out the the Arcanian Geomancer, Arcanian Pyromancer, Arcanian Ecomancer, and many, many, more. (not all will be Arcanian.)

Trade awesome farming powers for lackluster stat gains. Tendrils are fine, I assume the casting is like forked lightning? The passive is a bit boring but fair. Exploding critters is an orb, fair enough.
You already heard my opinion about the ulti before, show me how it's weaker than sonic wave, aside from the 25 seconds difference on cooldown(which isn't much of a weakness).
Well, I think covering the lack of mana is easy enough. Pull them in, then blast them away, I'd say.

Very nice, very nice indeed. Stats and primary attribute strikes me as wrong, this should be an Int hero. And definitely needs a huge mana cost for 700 AOE damage. -25 damage + chance for Combustion is actually a load more powerful than Sonic Wave (and you're also thinking Sonic Wave lvl4 - Sceptre). That powerful an ult should have at least 500-600 mana cost - 250? So obviously you're not gonna be able to cover it with 15+1.2 (eeee...).

Aside from above issue and kinda weak naming (reverse Archletham duh) its alright. But change things before I rate.

Well, you have your reasons for it being not imba, but still, combustion needs a tunedown. The only reason why is that you can easily score +2500 damage with your ulti AND it clears all the creeps. Maybe an enemy can be only damaged by combustion once every second. And the HP regen is imba. Why? Why do u thint DKs regen is 4 hp, because it gives armor aswell, like your damage boost. I say, max of 6 HP.

Oh, you might wanna reduce tendril count by at least 1. 7 guarantees an enemy to be drawn to you and good damage.

Other than that issues, this hero ROX! Good concept, everything is good. Even though I have my issues balancing, I feel like I am approaching too careful so I give you 10.

About tendrils - casting range is 500? How long is the duration? Does it pull until it reaches Zero? Or does it pull for 3 seconds?

Well, the idea is nice, but it needs some revamping....
First skill is good, but I believe you should make it kinda like tinker's missiles, you know, going only for heroes and no more than 2....You know, it helps you (no suiciding everytime you use this (7 guys whacking ya)), and it gives less ability to become imba when paired with other heroes, (as you said, just think Axe)
Second skill is good, very good, TOO good... Lower the gain I mean, look at Dragon Knight... He has lower than that and he's already a monster... I know Venge gives more damage and Davion has armor, but the fact is, no other hero gets even HALF this regen, I mean, it's DOUBLE a RoH!! Come on, bring it down a little, (you can keep the damage if you really like it xD)
Third skill is ok, but if you want it to work with the ulti, lower the damage a bit... It's otherwise a shitload of damage... Take for example a double creep wave.... That's what? 12 creeps? 14? Now, you do 400 to each of them, leaving all of them in the red if not outright killing them, now add that you have a 35% chance of dealing 290 AoE damage... So, at least two or three creeps will explode, leaving you with a MINIMUM 700 or 900 damage... Add a little lucky charm to it, and the damage just rockets up...
I'm sorry, I know you checked every skill, but they are indeed too powerful... Think about it ok?

Dark Tendrils: i think rexxar is right about this. 7 units is going to get you owned, if you use this in team battles its your own fault though I guess.
NOT IMBA with rupture
the tenderals go for the nearest 7 units in a 500 range. this means roughly 300 damage from rupture which isn't much.
look at Raijin Thunderkeg, 1200 range and the chances of hitting them are far greater.

Evils Purity: I think the health regen should be lower
2/3/4/6? and the damage should be higher 7/14/21/28 as it only applies to him.

Mahtelhcra: yes IMBA crit, 10% chance NOT IMBA
Yes IMBA combustion, 25% Chance NOT IMBA
but you have said this already.

Mahtelhcra Release: this is a great skill. just a weak sonic wave designed to set off chain Mahtelhcra. as you said, if Ealzor is sitting in the middle, its his fault.

I like it ill rate sometime in the next couple of weeks if you make some changes, currently 8/10 (probably a 9 but i need you to worry about loosing a star)

the ulti is great when used to a hero in the middle of creeps
(1 creep = +310 damage)
(2 creeps = +620 damage)
(3 creeps = +930 damage)
etc.

only with 3 creeps you can release a 700+930 damage, man...

Well by popular demand, Bard man WILL nerf Evil's Purity and possibly Combustion. Maybe increase the mana cost for the ult.

@Shimrra_3: Congratulations. You can read backwards. Want a cookie? Seriously, the reasoning should be obvious. This guyis the Stellar Soldier's evil mirror image. Bard Man could have made a thousand names for that skill, but though Mahtelhcra sounded best. Also, Bard Man will not change the main atribute. Bard Man may up his INT gain, but not more then that.

@SlwaBluPhnx: The only way you're gonna take THAT much damage is if you're the kind of R-ard who stands in the very center of the creep push. And the damage for the wave itself is constant. Next, consider how the creeps spread out. IF you'restanding next to the creep wave and Combustion Miraculously Combusts all the creeps, you'll only take damage for the ones right next to you.

@Greedygood: Dark Tendrils pull the enemy right up to Zero's melee range as long as they are still in the AoE. Think of each Tentacle as a mini shockwave with a hook effect.

@Shimrra_3 Again: You need to do more then skim through it.

@afro_scum: Evil's Purity isn't an aura. It only effects you.

@Raxxar: See Bard Man's above Comments.

@Ghost: Actually, The Range for Raijin's skill is 1400. *Shiver*

The skills in themselves aren't too imba, i think. However, having four skills that are "on the verge" is a little too much. It's sad though, i could tell this would be my favourite hero.

Hmmm, I still can't help comparing the ult to Sonic Wave, its basically the same AOE and damage, but also has combustion (which has now been reduced, but still) and still it costs about 60% of what Sonic Wave does... I dunno. Hard to do with a hero with poor INT gain. I'll just give it 9/10 now, save me arguments, seeing as I still like this guy and all. And I have read through all this.

If the creep actually dies by the mahtelcra release they combust. Seeing that most creeps will (but due to damage reduction or megacreeps) die anyway, and mahtelcra only combusts when it gets a kill, it would make sense.

I like it, i like it, i like it, i like it!!! Very cool, love the ulti. One question, his thirds skill says their is a chance that when the creeps dies he explodes. Does that mean that there is a chance to occur on the last hit? Or if u hit a creep like 10 times does it practically guarantee that the creep will explode because you most likely got the effect on one of your hits?

On a quieter note if u took away 1 of his skills and gave him 1 that was a bit more modest he might get passed as a new hero.

You need to not get raped by 5 level 5 dagons before you can cast this/void timewalks in and permabashes your ass/they don't sense a ruse with you just sitting on your lonesome waiting to tendril them into the jaws of the all feared and somewhat worshiped techies?/they don't have wards because, lets face it, TECHIES.

Hmm..he's a combination of Pudge (1st skill), dragon knight, abaddon ( ur ulti, abaddon's shield) and sk(sandkings 3rd skill).
But anyway, I hope ur character will be played in dota. He'd be a tough one to battle!

Are you retarded? Cause you really seem like it. The Range you see? That's how far the wave travels FORWARD! It's like QoP's Sonic Wave. Next, the Combustion damage doesn't travel with the wave. It only hits things that are in the small 300 AoE where the creeps are WHEN THEY DIE! The only way you have a chance of being raped by just that skill is if you're a retard and stand in the middle of the creeps. Please, read through THE WHOLE THING before voicing your opinion. @chukdy: The first skill doesn't have the range or aiming ability of pudges hook. And it could easily get you killed if you don't use it right. Also, the ultimate is more comparable to The Qyeen of Pain's Sonic Wave rather then the Dragon Knight's Fire Breath because of it's range.

SpecterShadow: Yea, but if you draw in that many units, you can end up taking even more damage then you deal to them. Also, Evil's Purity isn't a damn aura. It only effects Zero.

@Phreeze: Hew only has to spells. And together they can only deal about 940 together. Bard Man only says that much because Using both while creeps are around is kinda hard and as Bard Man has stated MANY times, the Combustion AoE kinda keeps it from being uber deadly unless you're close to the creeps.

@AXCELACCEL: Kiss Bard Man's ass.

Contrast:
3rd skill seems to be so powerful
Lessen the crit or lower the chance (%) to deal the specified damage. Coz you already have combustion to deal extra 270 damage. Base armor is too high! Should only be 1 starting armor.
Look at gondar, his HP is pathetic, armor is futile hehe, his critical is not fair coz it's been balanced to his windwalk.

Overall: 5 stars coz you have a nice idea..

This hero IS imba.

I don't care what the stat gain is. If you equip him with items for INT heros, his mana is not a problem.

Look at Tendrils. AOE nuke ~300dmg * 7 + Meat Hook for only 140mana? Bullshit.

Ult is still not balanced. Comparable ults are all at least 600mana, they only hit one target. You should just scrap this ult and think up a new one.

I like this hero. And no it's definately not imbalanced like everybody are stating.

For example the first skill, it's not as good as pudges hook, it only has 500 range, and less dmg than pudges hook. Pudges hook has a range of 1000 and 400 dmg. And with Zero you can't aim it.

And the ulti is also fine. Other heroes have also ultis that damages ALOT! for example luna or omni?

It is beyond me how this hero got a 5/5 Star rating, Bard Man. It has a large amount of problems. Also, your gear suggestion is just terrible - you need to be more specific.

In any case:
Dark Tendrils - shorter range meat hook on SEVEN mobs for only 140 mana? Very foolish.

Passive - Too powerful and out of place.

Crit+Explosion move: Another passive? Ouch. Not bad though, but boring.

Ulti - VERY overpowered. 650 dmg forward aoe for only 300 mana? With explosions and 100 cooldown? No, no, NO!

All in all he seems like a boring hero with a bunch of inbalances that make him either too powerful or two weak based on who he's matched with. He also lacks any advanced item or hero synergy.

You are also bad at preventing him, and very rude. If anyone questions anything you jump on them. Don't get mad if you're little fanboy aspiration isn't acceptable to everyone. Your hero needs work.

Mate, this hero is great. I would love to play it in live dota, but theres a couple fixes that have to be done. first, like vengeful spirit and Pudge, this hero must not be able to use kelen's. even if the chances of using it to trap someone at woods and then escaping are slim, think of that kid whose game is now ruined, not being able to move...
Next, Mahtelhcra isnt good enough for an orb effect! i would rather take satanic anyways, as u still get the crit from it. anyways, GJ

explodes. 3rd is Nessaj's crit + Caustic finale with 25% chance but 270 dmg that is better than crix's. 2nd is command aura but only for the hero and imbaomfgpwnzorh4x0r regen. Also, melee heroes ARE going to be in middle of creep wave cuz u need they have 2 be close to H-I-T enemies and so they will be among the hordes of ghouls if scourge
and necromancers will be right behind for 300 AOE. Also if tower hits somebody

Dark Tendrils is way to powerful it really needs to be balanced, its like 100 times better then pudges ulti and it isnt even an ulti. Think if it is a 5vs5 fight and they try to flee or change possision you pull them all in and they get fucked in the ass while being pulled. pudge can only pull one....
Evils Purity is also way better then Devions Dragon Blood
Mahtelhcra is way better then Scorpions poison sting
And finally Mahtelhcra Release is way better then Echo Slam and Chain Frost
