Discussion:
Alrighty people. If you actually looked at the skills above, you can already see that Micheal is an all passive hero. Well right now, Bard Man is gonna tell ya one more little catch regarding Micheal. He CANNOT wield any item that has an active ability. You know, like say... Guinshoo or Satanic? Nope. None of that. He can still use items with passive effects like Vladamir's offering and Buriza. Now Then, on with the show!
Hatred of Magic: Behold Micheal's first skill. A skill that will make you very happy if either your team or the enemy team consists of alot of INT heroes. As long as you have this, most people won't wanna cast spells at you, less they be the target of your rage. Here's hoping that you like this. Oh, but just remember the thorn to this rose. If you have this skill at ANY level, you cannot use an item with an active ability. If you bought an Active Item before taking this skill, prepare to feel juked, cause if you did you will auto-drop it and won't be able to pick it up. Of course, you can pick it up using the ol' chicken, but then you can't sell them. Keep that in mind when you use Micheal.
Inhuman Power: Micheal's Second skill. A great boon to your blows and some minor regeneration to keep you alive just a bit longer. Bard Man was kinda thinking of Razor when he made this skill. Good passive boost coppled with a weak one. Seemed nice. Is Bard Man rambling? He is. Moving on!
Rejection of Magic: If you noobs didn't learn this from his first skill, here's a reminder. Micheal does not like magic. If it's from an enemy, he will beat thier asses. If it's from an ally, he'll thwack it away, but not hit the guy giving him the magic boost. Yea, the resistance seems imba, but when you factor in that you can't get buffed by spells like Blood Rage or Bloodlust, or Surge, it seems pretty fair. And Bard Man knows you tard-monkeys will ask, so yes, Micheal can be effected by auras.
Arcane Destroyer: This is a pretty straight forward skill. With it, you have achance to really deal some damage against any hero with a big INT score and/or one too many items boosting his mana. As long as you have this skill, no INT hero will dare come near you. It's like how people that use melee heroes react when the see Axe after he's gorged on a feeder. Sure, they might try to hit him a few times, but never would dare to take him on head first. But, on the downside, this skill is all but useless when you're fighting tanks like Bradwarden unless he's dumb enough to grab a Bloodstone or something.
Moving right along, it's time to talk about items. Hopefully you read what was up at the top of the discussion area. If you didn't go back and read it again you dee dee dee. Since you can't use the Boots of Travel due to it's active skill, the Powers Treads are your main mode of movement. STR or AGI is fine, but going INT is just asking to get your ass kicked..
If Bard Man has to explain why you should get this, he will smack you.
Please read the above statement.
This is of course your only choice for lifesteal. Not only cause of your orb, but because all the other Lifestealing items have active spells.
Micheal's magic resistance and high damage already make him wicked scary. This just knocks it up a knotch. BAM!
If somehow the enemy casters are hurting you, the Hood of Defiance can make you alll but immune to thier spells. Still, it's not worth it in the long run when you could just as easily tank up.
One last tip: You all read that Micheal can't wield magic items and it's quite true. But his courier isn't so bound. Give him a dagon and learn why kill stealing rules.
Alright ladies, here are your best allies and worst enemies. Enjoy. Allies:
The fellas above, along with others are all good allies for you. Why? Well take a look. Most of them have auto-cast spells. Why are they friends with you? Your first skill, Hatred of Magic. Yes, the auto-casts spells will make your skill go off if they're in range. It's the same principle behind Harbinger's Essence aura. Others are there cause they can spam like hell. You've probably wondering why Leoric and the Vengeful Spirit are up there. Well they have auras and auras can make you even more deadly. Moving on Enemies:
The fellas above are gonna be the biggest pains in the ass for Micheal. The reason? They can disable and/or stun him. For all his great strength and magic resistance, Micheal is still in trouble if he faces someone with disabling spells. Wondering why Riki's up there? Well Bard Man likes to play him from time to time and always gives him bashers. His high AGI gain and attack speed make him great at perma-bashing and his Permenant Invisibility makes him really hard to keep your distance from. Slaughterfest:
All of these dudes are fodder for Micheal. They all have very good INT scores, and therefore, lots of mana. All that extra mana makes them easy pickin's for Micheal and his ult. Plus, thier spells are all but useless thanks to Rejection of Magic.
Well Bard Man is done now. Here's where Bard Man gives thanks to the DS members who helped him Thanks Mangoman for writing the story I used and the other one I didn't. Thanks Ghost for giving Bard Man the icons for this Hero And of course, a big thanks to Drew and all the mods for making DS a great site. Peace Out, brothers and sisters! -Bard Man P.S. I dropped a deuce in the brownie bowl. \m/
