Not much is known about Shak’Dela but that she resides in hell along with the devil himself. As it is said the scourge in a desperate attempt to rid the world of the sentinel upon the battlefield used special black magic to summon the devil, not able to do so they did receive Shak’Dela, who known for her masterful and deadly sorcery quickly became one amoungst the highest ranks of the undead army

Hells Fire (N/A)
The eternal fire in hell is said to be hotter than the sun, burning all to a crisp within seconds. Shak’Dela can summon this fire up to the earth and coat herself in it providing her with extra hit points but at the cost of a constant damage per second against her. Not even a sorcerer from hell can withstand their flames
Level 1 - Shak'Dela gains a bonus 100hp and a constant -1hp damage per second against her
Level 2 - Shak’Dela gains a bonus 175hp and a constant -2hp damage per second against her
Level 3 - Shak’Dela gains a bonus 250hp and a constant -3hp damage per second against her
Level 4 - Shak’Dela gains a bonus 325hp and a constant -4hp damage per second against her
Each level Shak’Deal gains the designated health bonus. Each level of bonus health is stacked on top of the previous level so therefore there is a total of 850 bonus health to gain
Mana Cost: N/A
Cooldown: N/A

Framework: i would like this to look similar to Mortreds blur ability. Where as she becomes harder to see, Shak'Dela become brighter and more covered with redish/orange flames

Notes: This skill CANNOT kill Shak'Dela, it will take her down to 1hp but no lower. This is so noob morons dont choose this hero, get Hells Fire but no regen to balance the -dps and die after leaving the fountain

Pain for the Gain (g)
Sacrificing her own well being to destroy whoever is in her path Shak’Dela casts a bond with an enemy hero which slowly damages both Shak’Dela and the target
Level 1 - Shak’Dela and target take 15 damage per second for 5 seconds
Level 2 - Shak’Dela and target take 30 damage per second for 5 seconds
Level 3 - Shak’Dela and target take 45 damage per second for 5 seconds
Level 4 - Shak’Dela and target take 60 damage per second for 5 seconds
Spell cannot be cast on same target twice within 15 seconds. Can be cast on enemy heroes/creeps, allied heroes/creeps and neturals
Mana Cost: 45/85/125/165
Cooldown: 5

Framework: Both the target and Shak'Dela will picture the 'Pain for the Gain' icon when spell is in use

Notes: This skill can kill u, enemies, allies...anyone. Use as a denying spell as much as a killing spell

Flesh Strike (f)
Using the damage that her own body has taken Shak’Dela absorbs this damage equal to her lost hit points and blasts an enemy with it. Drawing her wounds out is a painful process so can only be performed when below a certain amount of health
Level 1 - Deals damage equal to 0.2x her lost hit points, must be below 50% max health
Level 2 - Deals damage equal to 0.3x her lost hit points, must be below 58% max health
Level 3 - Deals damage equal to 0.4x her lost hit points, must be below 66% max health
Level 4 - Deals damage equal to 0.5x her lost hit points, must be below 74% max health
makes full use of 'Hells Fire' and 'Pain for the Gain' - The lower your health, the more powerful the spell
Mana Cost: 140/190/240/290
Cooldown: 24/26/28/30

Framework: When this spell is used it should look like a beam of flesh shooting out of Shak'Dela's body, through her scepter and onto the target

Notes: ie. LVL.4 – lets say for instance Shak’Dela has 1500 hit points, 1st she must be under 74% max health to cast this spell (1500-74% = 390 health), now 0.5x missing health (1500-390 = 1110) so 0.5x1110 = 555 damage

Death at a Funeral (N/A)
Using some means of unknown biological sorcery Shak’Dela causes all enemy heroes to feel pain and take damage when she destroys one of their allies
Level 1 - All allies of the recently deceased hero take 100 damage and become maimed for 2sec (20% reduced move speed)
Level 2 - All allies of the recently deceased hero take 200 damage and become maimed for 3sec (20% reduced move speed)
Level 3 - All allies of the recently deceased hero take 300 damage and become maimed for 4sec (20% reduced move speed)
Level 4 - (With Aghanim's Scepter) – All allies of the recently deceased hero take 400 damage and become maimed for 5sec (30% reduced move speed)

The final hit of the enemy hero MUST come from Shak’Dela
Mana Cost: N/A
Cooldown: N/A

Framework: When Shak'Dela kills a hero, red spikey roses form at the spot of their death, this also happens to any other hero that dies from this spell

Here we go

I hope you all enjoy this hero. I designed her in a way that differs from most DOTA hero startegies as this hero is based on the idea 'the lower your health, the more powerful you become'.

Her Look

Id like her to basically be a misty cloud of black smoke that floats around (until 'Hells Fire' is learnt) with nothing but the scepter she carries. Every time 'Hells Fire' is learnt the black mist turns more red/orange. Her attack will be a simple purple orb shot from the end of her scepter. Getting Aghanims' Scepter would send purple electricty blots jolting around her body centered at his scepters head.

> Very different gameplay, requires a unique high health/low regen build

> Good in 5v5 to 1v1 battles

Skill Description

Hells Fire

Ok so this skill basically explains how this hero needs to be played. You need high health BUT low regeneration. In DOTA even without regen items, as you play on your regen become high anyways so that explains the -dps, it allows for a better synergie with you other skills. And im sure you've realised the extra health bonus, more synergie. The only difference is the way it stacks on top of the previous levels bonus health, this is not imba howeva as even tho you have lots of health, the point of this hero is TO TAKE LOTS OF DAMAGE!

Pain for the Gain

This skill helps alot during all aspects of the game. At the start its a good harrassing tool (aim enemies with no regen), late game its good to use for creeping and denying AND all this time you lose health! HOORAY! *cough* (its a good thing remember). Try and constantly use on enemies/creeps whereva they may be to keep your health low and making 'Flesh Strike' a very powerful and scary spell.

Flesh Strike

Well this is your only nuke and a powerful one at that. Howeva its a hard one to use but can make any gank on you turn horribly wrong. Synergises well with other skills, keep your health low and strike weak heroes. NOTE - Get Wards, they will be your best ganking friend. The damage this can cause late game is enormous! Not imba btw as the cd is fairly high and for decent damage you do need low health, which depending how you play can be a hard thing to do....also makes you easy to kill so play carefully.

Death at a Funeral

The cream on the cake of ultimates. This basically makes you the best ks-ing hero eva! by ks-ing and ganking the weak heroes you help the whole team. Even provides a maim so if you are ganked, kill one then gives you time to run.

Spell Synergies

Hells Fire Pain for the Gain Flesh Strike

Hells Fire + Pain for the Gain + Flesh Stike

Well with Hells Fire you gain more health so therefore can deal more damage with Flesh Strike. Pain for the Gain allows you (plus the constant -dps from Hells Fire) to lower your own health to use Flesh Strike effectively. Aim weak heroes because as this can cause massive damage you may be able to kill them almost instantly! Triggering Death at a Funeral

Playing a different style of play can make this an effective synergie. Lets say you were to stack up on damage items etc or even just lane with a nuker hero. When your chasing an enemy down cast this on them, if they manage to escape this should take them down and although weak (and damaging yourself), if this skill kills youll trigger Death at a Funeral...mmm even at LVL.1 the 100damage and main is a tasty treat...

Hells Fire Flesh Strike

Ok so i figure i beta still put this synergie down, even tho its like having a death stick put up ur rear end! anyways.....this will mainly only work early game. Max out Hells Fire and Flesh Stike in that order AND DONT BUY ANY REGEN ITEMS! this way as soon as you leave your fountain your health will start to drop, wait till its at its lowest (1hp - remember this skill wont kill you) then wait for an enemy to get on low hp then CHARGE! cast Flesh Strike and hope for the best. Items

Here are my recommended early and late game items for Shak'Dela.

Early

Bracer Stack up on these early so you have lots of health. These will benifit your skills, allow your to harrass with 'Pain for the Gain' and should provide enough natural regen to counter 'Hells Fire'

Ironwood Branch If you have free space and extra cash grab some of these. For such a cheap price they are worth it, sell for bracers later

Boots of Speed When you have the chance, after you have some bracers (2 or more) grab these as you will get BOT later and travelling around without the +50 MS is a pain

Late

Boots of Travel This hero is not a good one at dps so get these to move around at your fastest. Best used in conjuction with wards set up at key locations so you can easily find enemy heroes, travel to em and DESTROY THEM!

Aghanim`s Scepter Makes you ultimate that much better. Extra health

Eye of Skadi Mainly for the extra health and attributes but the frost attack will make you even more scary roaming the battlefield

Armlet of Mordiggian THE CREM DELA CREM OF ITEMS FOR THIS HERO! so very very good! extra health and a massive dps against you *gargle*...'Flesh Strike' will own anyone with this

Bloodstone Also awesome item for Shak'Dela. You are going to be constantly taking risks when trying to kill heros being you need low health so with redemption there to back you up it provides a 'reasurrance'...so to speak.

Black King Bar Perfect item for turning your feared enemies (stunners) into nothing but childs play for you. Tank it up and take that damage!

Heroes

Nice Allies

The best allies for this hero would have to be heavy nukers. You want heros that can deal huge damage quick leaving your plenty of time to no.1 to lower your own health and no.2 to own their asses. The lower their health (DUH!) the more likely your Flesh Stike will kill and trigger Death at a Funeral.

Zeus - Lord of Olympia Mr.Damage (Zeus) is no.1 for well...damage. Lane with this bloke and watch your kills soar. A great way to do this is for zeus to ONLY use Arc Lightning and Lightning Bolt then to let you have the final hit. This way all other enemies on the battlefield get damaged so Zeus can cast Thundergod's Wrath for a very sweet double or triple kill!

Darchrow - The Enigma Mainly for Big battles. Get Darchrow to cast Black Hole to gather everyone together then simply aim the weakest hero, kill his ass, then suddenly BAM your team has a huge advantage over the battle! mega damage and mega maim

Furion - The Prophet If Death at a Funeral doesnt kill a hero get this guy to teleport and finish them off

Barathrum - The Spiritbreaker Just like Furion. Charge and dont let anyone escape

Strygwyr - The Bloodseeker Once again this guy will go nuts with half dead heroes running all over the battlefield. Will kill very well but also allow all your allies to see the other team

Mean Enemies

Strygwyr - The Bloodseeker As nice of an ally this guy can be, dont be fooled. You need low health to be effective, he wants you to have low health to kill you. Ouch...

Gondar - The Bounty Hunter If he doesnt kill you, he will track you. RUN RUN RUN!

Rooftrellen - The Treant Protector His Eyes of the Forest can turn you from ganking pro to feeder in seconds

Raigor Stonehoof - The Earthshaker Stunners like Raigor are a natural enemy to everyone, especially you. Get stunned on low health and your a goner

Rotund`jere - The Necrolyte This guys ultimate will kill u instantly. if ur against this guy, u may want to rethink ur strategie

There are definately more great allies and evil enemies for Shak'Dela but im not going to put them all down. These guys above are, imo, the best and worst so use care.

Hells fire is too imba, i think. with just 1x ring of health and lvl 4 this skill, combined with your str gain and RANGED attack, u might cross the thin line of IMBAAA with that +850 HP...

By the way, add Necro to most horrifying enemies, for obvious ulti reasons.

Also, Buff Pain for Gain. Terrorblade's drain life thing drains 80 hp, and not only that, gives it to you, not the other way around. i say buff it to at least 75 per second.

Don't you think the ult is a bit much?
I mean, I've got nothing against it but considering that in just about every game there exists at least one noob that gets himself killed every couple minutes it seems a bit overpowered.
Although I think I got the solution to that problem:
Mana Cost: N/A
Cooldown: 15 minutes per hero (by this I mean that the effect won't be activated for the same hero again for 15 minutes, but you can still use it if you kill others - buff on killed hero for 15 minutes)

Also, I agree with uriash...other skills need slight nerfing as well:

Hell's Fire - double negative regen
Flesh Strike - istead of "must be below (50/58/66/74)% max health", change it to "must be above (74/66/58/50)% max healt"

At the same time, Pain for the Gain actually needes to be buffed a bit:
Increase duration from 5 seconds to 6 OR increase initial damage by 5, changing it from (15/30/45/60) damage per second to (20/40/60/80) damage per second.

i like the hero but still...

first skill is way to imbalance: just buy a ring of health and you got yourself 850 hp nerf it a bit.

second skill looks ok to me.

3th skill is again overpowered: she is a strength type hero who most likely has more then 1500 hp. Even with 1500 hp she deals a blow of 555 damage. Pretty much like an ultimate for me when she has many hp.

4th skill. nerf damage a bit then its okay

just my opinion

lol this hero will make the great step when someone KSing you and you'll not get mad.

the synergy is okay, but this hero won't kill anyone easily since this is a DPS hero.. so the ult won't trigger easily.

But, when this hero kills someone, she may kill other heroes at the same time and goes the double kill or triple kill. :|

Hero is a little bit complicated.
1st skill is too much +850 hp FTW....
The ultimate is a little bit hard to use,you need to kill a hero to activate it.
I have a question in the ulti,is that 300 damage for 4 sec?or its just the maim?

Very nice... Without the ultimate she would need a lot more power, but she's fine as it is...
I like the idea of a tank int hero, but I'd have liked her as str, but it should be playable anyway...
However, she truly needs some backup to be really effective... After one hero has died she is great, but she doesn't (IMO) have what it takes to actually kill that first hero...
I dunno, seems good enough...

Here we go...

Hell's Fire- The stacking HP over every level is IMBA. and shouldn't you let the fire also damage enemies? Also designate an AoE for this spell

Pain for the Gain- I dunno what to say. It's just OK in damage rating

Flesh Strike- This is like Reapers Scythe... I mean the higher level it is the even higher potential to OHKO there is.

Death at a Funeral- Weaken the damage a TINY bit. The maim is ok IMO.

I think this Hero gets a 6/10. Pls try to nerf it soon.

Your skills all seem to synergize well.

Hell's Fire gives you some natural tanking ability and it's -4 to your Health Regeneration is simple to counteract with a Vanguard and Pain for the Gain is a very inventive DSP skill that works well with Flesh Strike.

Finally, your Ult. This is a beautiful skill, because in a big enough gank, you have the potential to walk away with 2-4 kills Maybe 5 if they're all pushing. I salute this crazy skill and you.

what about this chick with techies, techies goes boom, they are all on low hp, get dagon or such to kill one of them, boom, chain reaction TRIPLE KILL,

but the ulti doesn't really sound too strong, not unless you can manage to chain it

flesh strike is too strong, you can esily get around 3k hp ad then you can easily get in a 1000 damage nuke while on one third hp,

i suggest adding a cap to the damage or lowering the amount done,

pain is too weak, only 300 damage and it does it to you too?

In the description you say it's a "Her" but in the "HIS look" section you state that's it's a man, which is it? Just curious.

Anyhoo, I like it, but hell's fire is a bit imba, you're basically getting a free heart.

Need some minor tweaks.. 7/10. Especially in the GENDER area.

'hells fire'. also want to remind all that 'pain for the gain' has a 5sec cd so its meant to be a spammable skill. every1 saying its not strong enough but its mainly used for lowering your health...every 5secs...thats alot...

Sounds pretty much like Huskar because of the health thingies. I have to admit, the hero can either go too imba or too weak considering how small the damage you will get for 850 HP. Give this a Vanguard and voila, free 1000+ HP and no more damage to your life. Aside from that, the hero sounds pretty cool. 8/10 until you change your 1st skill.

just based on the the skills and the items you would need to help those skills work, it seems that this hero would be better suited as a melee str hero. But otherwise nice idea - maybe just tweak the skills a little as well (refer to previous posts about skill changes - I'm not repeating what other have already said)

your calculation for flesh strike is wrong, yeah...the 550 dmg is if you are at 26% health instead of 74% health. so damage is actually like 1/3 that...so you have to be at life 390 to deal 550 and at life 1110, you deal 195. Sucky nuke.

spell 1 take out the health gain and make the dps 5/10/15/20 to nearby units

spell 2 looks good i would increase the dmg slightly

spell 3 keep the % to use at a constant 50, and reducse the mc//cd

i like ur ulti but make it so all enemy units within a radius of the hero killed.

bad story line... make it fit with wc3 and have her the dreadlords aprentice or sumtin be creative. not much is known is boring and to easy.

good spells but with bad storyline ill give it a 4/10
