Soul burn is what?

silence and dmg amplify that new items seems to be overpowered

Soul Burn: Silences a unit and makes it take 15% extra damage, lasts 4.5 seconds. Cooldown: 40.

Now I'm not one to judge items, but this baby gives 40% IAS, 60 damage, 150% mana regen, AND another silence for any int hero.

Whats really interesting is that this item can be used by non INT as well, the only thing potentially wasted is 25 intelligence, but IMO can benefit alot of str heroes due to them needing more mana. This could be good on Earthshaker instead of a manaring/bfury.

Without a doubt this is feasable on Medusa as well, Mana, IAS, damage, mana regen, and a silence!

Other heroes I'd expect this to be seen commonly on: Int DPS heroes, Storm (many of them), Prophet, Silencer, Dazzle, QoP, Death Prophet (Silence, Soul Burn, Silence again, 16 seconds of silence).

It's a variation of Ginsuu, and a very inferior version if it for a couple of reasons: Ginsuu can be assembled in pieces and the Eul's is also a fantastic item. Ginsuu's and Eul's disable is way superior to Soul Burn. Ginsuu is cheaper.

Why Orchid Malevolence then? Because you can have Ginsuu AND Orchid malevolence.

It is overpowered if used wisely. Good for ogre magi

this is the most perfect item ive been looking for. sence i use silencer often. it adds good damage. good int. lots of attackspeed AND MORE SILENCE

This seems like an item made entirely for Harbinge, damage, intelligence, nice attack speed.

This is a great item for int heroes that don't benefit from Ag's scepter. The AS boost is pretty significant and shouldn't be overlooked, but the soul burn is really, really nice for troublesome heroes, and the cool down is pretty low as well. Probably my favourite of the new 6.49 items.

40% attack speed and damage amplify will make all hero's that are already imba more imba, perma stunners with damage amplify, sladar can have his ulti on autocast because of 150% mana regen...

Holy Shit this is what i've been waiting for! No more butterfly on enchantress just this and hyperstone, slightly more expensive but hell You're gonna pwn WAY better

Its unbalanced, its getting nerfed very soon. Its got the EXACT same stats as Guinsoo, a comparable ability, and THEN theres 40% attack speed as well? I got this and the other one on Storm and rounded off very nicely even though we lost, and I usually hate Storm. Its getting nerfed.

I think this item also good for Visage, +60 damage, 150%mana regen and 40% IAS for his Soul Assumption and also add his Grave Chill makes him a AGI type of hero and hard to face off.

Good item, now everyone can silence though for a shorter time.

One very important questions. Does it stack with Chen/Pugna's Abliities? Those heroes have a built in dmg modifier, this would furthermore increase their ability to take down heros. How about getting this on the which doctor? Step one Soul Burn, Step 2 Maledict, step 3 ???, step four Profit!

yes i agree, but you forgot the fact that this item's silence is ONLY silence, they can still attack. With guinsoo, they can't attack so you get loads of free hits, with this you don't get any free hits. But you do hit them more. :D

Mana Regen: Same
Damage: Same
IAS: The 10% was overlooked in Guinsoo(From quarterstaff) now it is amplified to a great degree.
Spells: This one is more against intelligence and agi heroes (since they cannot afford the 15% more damage eating and they require spells to be useful) whereas the other one is more general (but the 15% is only applied to spells, since it removes natural immunity to spells only)

Whay that means? The movement lovering and the attack cancelling effect has been replaced by 15% physical attack amplify, +5 int and 40% IAS. Imba trade if you ask me. Better than guinsooi offensively.

bought it and used it. really imba on intel heroes, super beneficial for both str + agil as well, cos they also need the mana and since they usually deal more base damage then intel heroes, the IAS is imba. the attack speed needs to be somewhat nerfed (makes no sense either Oblivion Staff only grants 10% ASPD and this grants 40%, whered that 30% come from?)

Well the +35 dmg and the 40% aspd along with the soul burn makes this item really good

seriously...this item is great, but not imba. some heroes are unaffected by silence and passive skills aree still triggered. (cept reincarnation)
this is not an imba item is is just right. there are many int heroes who just SUCK late game and need this item to make them DECENT....
nuke dmg gets lower...building HoD makes your int heroes useless and they begin to feed.
This is the only defense they have...

This item is not imba.

A) Ginsuu has almost the same stats (-40% aspd)
B) Ginsuu is cheaper
C) Ginsuu turns enemies into sheep thus disabling all skills, spells, evasion, and even removes their innate hero spell resistance. Orchid only stops spellcasting.
D) Ginsuu can be used as an escape mechanism as well as a disable
E) Ginsuu is useful even when not complete, in the form of Eul's scepter. Everyone knows how useful cyclone is i'm not going to go into it.

Since this item isn't as good as Ginsuu and costs more than Ginsuu I must say this item cannot be imbalanced.

The 40% attack speed is pretty nice for int heroes but the new treads and cheaper hyperstones should give plenty of IAS.

Anyone who gets this item for a str or ESPECIALLY an agi hero should be shot as its just a complete waste of money for them.

Huh. Bard Man just remembered this Item. It's in one of the AI maps. Same stats and spells, but in the AI version, they deal 1.5x thier INT score as bonus damage.

This item on Tiny...Soul Burn to silence, then avalanche and toss while opponent is soul burned=45 extra damage per spell, 40% increased attack speed means you'll hit them once in the air before they land with a +35 damage will put hit at about 270 on level 16, add 15% extra damage onto that would be about 320, for a grand total of about 1,010 damage in about 1.5 seconds. Mean? Ya. 345+345+320=1010

Good on int-based heroes who deal auto-attack damage.

For Nortrom, if your team has no disables, get Quinsoo.

If your team has disables, get this, because Orchid gives more DPS.

this item would rock on necrolyte with his ulti. already at level 4 (3 with aghanims) it can kill any hero at just above half health (not counting any resistance) but with this you could kill heros at about 64-65 percent health and if you get a dagon you could get them down to that amount of health heaps quicker. so soul burn , dagon ulti
Then get a refresher orb and soul burn ddagon and ulti again. And yes by then you would have enough mana to do that because you have lots of mana from aghanims and more from orchid and dagon and regen from refresher.


On another note imagine having bloodseeker with this and use rupture and this to someone running away.

also on the previous not of refresher orb get this item with refresher on lion or lina. for example lina ulti with aghanims does about 1000 and with soul burn it will do another 150 then refresh and do again. now 300 might not seem like much but you'll also be using other spells and physical attacks as well. This item would rock with the new arm band thing that does 20dps and with a hero with lifesteal. pity it doesn't last longer.

Hmm I hear a lot of people talk about this item is to imba, but it is just a very good item for INT hero's so they don't get pawned to hard late game. I think it is a great add to the arsenal.

yea, but this item can be equipped for any hero, because of the 40% increased aspd and additional 15% extra damage taken on enemies is a dream for agility heroes.

Silencer: Guinsoo's Scythe of Vyse + Orchid Malevolence + Glaives of Wisdom + Blink Dagger:

Silencer's Glaives is already an extremely abusive skill on its own. Imagine that for every 1 point of INT you get, it gives you a bonus 0.6 Chaos damage (penetrates through all armor, Vanguard, Rigwarl's Bristleback, etc). So imagine Guinsoo boosting his bonus damage to around 60+ (with base damage, youd be dealing around 120+ estimated). Once a target is hexed, the armor is reduced to 0, allowing your base+bonus damage to kick it in full. Stack it up with Orchid Malevolence, its as if you had God's Strength while your opponent was on Amplify Damage. Dont forget that you have increased attackspeed from both Orchid Malevolence and Guinsoo, plus, if youre able to farm an Assault Curiass, its Beyond Godlike til the game ends!

Guinsoo is better n cheaper than tis item, guinsoo make the enemies moves slow by about 50% n decrease their armor until 0, tis edi amplify the incoming damage+ they also canot cast skill when in hex state.
The advantages of orchid malevolence is just a longer speel time tat is 4.5 second, tat is 1.5 second more than guinsoo.. so WAD!!!

i love this item against pudge.. it'll save your teammates asses.. i like using it to counter dismember.. and since pudge usually has rot on.. he's forced to take dmg for the 4.5 seconds.. and it's amplified..

Far too expensive IMO. I've only gotten it to be worth it once with Enchantress. Tried it on a variety of heroes and just way too expensive.

Sand King users will be very problematic once one of the players of the opposing team gets this pretty good item.

I once used this with sandking.. Perfect for 1 on 1 situation. My opponent was omniknight, can't kill him coz of guardian angel. I built orchid then. Burrow strike, silence, epicenter.. boom!! his dead then

i think guinsoo is even better. the opponent cant do anything except for running away slowly. this item is only for silencing. which is non helpful if it is against agility and strength hero.

Does Soul Burn increase the damage of Necrolyte's ult?

If so, would using Soul Burn on an enemy hero before zapping them with ult give you more damage over using Guinsoo's? This is keeping in mind that Guinsoo's polymorph reduces enemy armor to zero.

I think this has become much more usable with the new patch, 3 oblivion staffs, easy to build. +60 dmg for int heroes + IAS and a sick 225% mana regen. AND soulburn (20% extra dmg taken and silence for 5 sec) awsome.

nah, its better like it is, thats why i prefer gettin this item over guinsoo, even though guinsoo is better combat wise. orchid is just easier to build.

it should stack with slardar's coz his ability is armor reduction and this indirectly increases damage taken. but pugna's decrepify, dirge's plague and penitence are all direct spell and damage amplifying spells. wud they stack fully/diminishingly or the highest spell damage increase takes effect?
