Good item for late game str dps heroes who need lifesteal that vladimir offers especially chasers who uses orbs like frost attack or maim. Tried it on ursa, lycant, abadon and sven. Great mana regen coupled with bottle. Good start for axe too. Gonna try it on panda bcoz FTW, panda has abyssmal mana pool/regen.

I agree with mance435 its pretty good for STR and AGI melee heros specially early game!

A Sven with this and one point on toughness aura makes some great resistance not just for him but for any allies nearby!

+7 armor aura on level 1 is pretty helpfull!

I find it hard to get this item. If you're using a super Int hero like Obsidian, isn't it better to just get Sobi?

I get this item only if I'm an Str or Agi hero who needs mana then I get Vlads...

I personally hate this item... and i only get it if I'm getting vlads now a days.

HOWEVER

@ vojda88
I think the +6 dmg was basically an afterthought to make this item a little better early game. There are 2 reasons to get this item.
1) to make vlads (and possibly other items that may require it later on)
2) Devo and Brilliance Aura + ability to toggle aura on/off. More helpful to push.

Still hate this item...

dont forget the +6 damage!! it rocks! if u make 60dmg (which is a lot) this is like 10% dmg increase. Very good for lasthitting creeps!!

No backfire, dude Devotion aura gives armor to your nearbly allies ( creeps ).
If switched on it will give armor, if switched off it won't give armor to your allies. Got it?
