This item is absolutely core on Anti-Mage and Akasha, it gives IMBA teleport, trust me, you blink into a fight, blink out after you're almost killed, and return to the fountain while you're team is calling you a phucking noob.

captain obvious

228 By Riki.rules 2010-12-08

Riki does not need it.

227 By AllLeftBroken 2010-12-07

Not every hero need this, and those that do doesn't need lots of item to be effective,so a single slot isn't such a big issue for them.

226 By lingtag4 2010-12-07

very good item, they need to upgrade it and make new item that will have blink option in it.
it is taken 1/6 slot of your inventory so that is why you don't take it with every hero but it is a very good item non the less

"Trees near Vengeful Spirit and the target will be destroyed upon
swapping."

so maybe she can swap on unpassable terrain only..for the target w/o leap, blink etc. unable to escape.

... on DS and these spells should be dodgeable with blink dagger, anti-mage's blink, and qop's. For someone who mentioned POtM's leap it works differently than blink with the 0.01 windwalk. POtM is invulnerable at that state and should be able to doodge "projectiles" but while the actual leap animation is occuring she is still vulnerable to spells. Idk if this helps that much, but given what I know I think that is how blink works.

hmm.. I think blink can be used to dodge projectiles (Vs missle is projectile, range attack animation like drow's arrow is as well), but certain spells like Sven's storm bolt is a bit weird in that it isn't considered a hard-coded spell, but rather a dummy unit (I read this somewhere on DS, I think the poster could better explain this)so it acts differently and cannot be doged unless u have inhumane reflexes and blink right on impact. There should be a list of hard-coded spells somwhere...

VS case:
1. blinks to trees/unpassable terrain
2. Wait for unsuspecting nabs
3. swap them
4. ???
5. PROFIT!

Pudge:

1. Blink to unpassable terrain/trees
2. Hook, rot, and dismember them
3. If step 2 didn't work and assuming that you didn't take any damage due to dismember's disabling time, blink away
4. ???
5. PROFIT

I'm thinking of why normal projectile attacks can be dodged by blinking.

221 By Reigarde 2010-08-19

vs can blink onto some hill and swap a hero, trapping him there, ruinig ganks, and if pudge can blink, hook won't be used when tryin to dismember heroes . icefrog prolly wna emphasize on skill play where you have to hook the hero when he's far away

220 By redapple1973 2010-08-19

why it cant be held by a pudge or vengeful

219 By Reigarde 2010-08-19

I said "it is >MUCH< like a potm leap", and I am using it to let him better understand how it works . why not you get a video of the projectile missing you aft it blinks halfway . I'm thinking it won't work because there is like a cruising and hitting period, where the cruising is where the projectile flies towqrds a hero, and hitting where the stun is made . the stun period is only a fraction of a second, and that is when you have to blink to dodge it .

218 By silentzero 2010-08-19

PotM's leap is a different as it has a .01 ww. Blink is a different case.

Know I'm starting to wonder why I dodged that VS' missile while it's still in mid-air

217 By roffel 2010-08-19

Reigarde Potms leap is quite different though. You only dodge with it because it grants you 0.01 seconds of invisibility in the beginning, so if they have true vision over you, you can't dodge with it.

When spells are quite close to you, or have atleast traveled half of its route towards you, you can blink away from it.

216 By Reigarde 2010-08-19

wrong again, it's the same for all projectiles . you can try it out . it's much like a potm leap, if you leap too early, the projectile will follow you .

sorry for the halfpost, acci click on my iPhone .
anyway, I meant to say it's easier to pull off that trick than am or qop, as there isn't any cast animation .

215 By Reigarde 2010-08-19

and the only reason this works better

214 By silentzero 2010-08-19

I'm guessing it's different on each spells. Take note of the word "projectile" like VS' magic missile that can be evaded just by blinking while it's in midair

213 By Reigarde 2010-08-19

wrong, it's second choice . YouTube it and you will see that the projectile (esp in sven's case) where the projectile has the hitting animation on the spot where you blinked the instant you blink away . it's a bit hard to explain, but if you blink during their cast animation, they might not cast, as compared to blinking when the projectile comes near, where you would waste their mp and leave their skill on cd .

212 By silentzero 2010-08-19

choice 1 is enough.
however, choice 2 sounds secks
