Discussion:
ITEM PROPERTIES +30 Strength 100% chance to block 30 hero damage. 60% chance to block 40/20 (for melee/ranged) non-hero damage. Vulnerizing Field (active, instant):
Places a buff on self for 20 seconds. As long as this buff exists, there is a 25% chance to release a "Vulnerizing Ray" against an attacking unit. A Vulnerizing Ray deals 50 (magical) damage and reduces the target's attack damage and spell resistance by 7% for 4 seconds.
- Atk-dmg and spell-resistance reductions stack up to 4 times. - Works on multiple attackers. Cannot occur more than once every 0.5 seconds on the same target. - 100 manacost. 20 seconds duration. 45 seconds cooldown. - Framework: The user will slightly glow like dark green as long as the buff exists. The Vulnerizing Rays will look like "Mana-Burn" spell, though in dark-green colour.
ITEM DISCUSSION - An absolutely perfect item for any hero who can tank or drow a lot of aggro on them. Examples:

Especially perfect for Axe and Spectre. That's because both of them, esp. Axe, deal damage when they are attacked. Vulnerizing Field in combo with Helix/Dispersion will be pretty "ouchy"...
- The dmg and spell resistance reduction will also work wonders, as it will harass the atk-dmg of your enemies, making dps enemies less effective and will make them a lot more vulnerable to spells. (Total of 28% reductions. That's a 72% atk dmg and -3% spell resistance!)
- Note: Only the atk dmg that derives from the base stat will be reuduced. That's not my rule, it's just how warcraft warks: When there's a portional increase/decrease in atk dmg, it only affects the dmg from base stat. Examples of items and abilities that portionally change the atk dmg, thus the base-stat atk dmg are: BS's Bloodrage, Vladimir's Offering, Lycan's Feral Heart, Trax's Trueshot Aura, Vengeful's Command Aura, etc.
That's the way it is, as far as i am aware of.
- Notice that Vulnerizing Ray deals spell damage, which means, that each time it takes effect on the same target, it will deal more damage because of the spell resistance reduction, until the reduction reaches max stacking limit.
- This item also makes great combo with another item, that has an alike effect: Mjollnir.
Activating both Vulnerizing Field and Static Charge, will be disastrous for any opponent that will try to attack you! I believe it's pretty obvious why, isn't it?? :P And don't forget that damage from static charge will also be amplified due to spell resistance reduction!!!
Just imagine these effects on Axe or Spectre: OMG!!!!
Well, that's all folks... Thanks in advance! :D |
