The Brutal Venomancer

This is an okay guide. Yes it's kinda lacking, but that's okay. The skill build is rather unfocused, as it's better to max at least one skill before level 10. Poison Sting is the best candidate for that. For the item build, it's okay, but you're getting Vanguard rather late. Vanguard's effectiveness is in the early-to-mid game, so if you really want to use Vanguard, you have to get it before you get S&Y. And I'm more inclined to use Lothar's Edge on him rather than Blink Dagger.

Skill build isn't that good and strat is kinda short, but otherwise, job well done.

Btw Razorfane, poison damage doese'nt stack, viper cant combo with you.

i got some question here. i think the poison nova doesn't kill. it cant even kill creeps.uts only make them life turn red.

poison nova won't kill. that's shadow strike's job. lol. nova gets them damaged pretty good though. i like maxing shadwstrike and poison sting first. and S&Y is prolly the best item for venomancer, but i think getting damage boosters afterwards is better such as MKB or Buriza, depending on the game of course.

cool guide! but u lack some late game items..ring of basilius is not that useful in the mid and late game...plus, u have aghanims right dude?go for MKB or buriza..and add lothar's edge good for poping out in the middle of the battle field and use poison nova...i assure u can get hero kills bcz of all of ur poison skills used.. maxing out ur poison sting and shadow strike 1st would be great..since poison sting deals overtime damage..very annoying if u ask me and good for low hp running hero..sure kill for u YEY! keep it up dude!

your lacking alot of damage. key to veno is having alot of damage while the enemy is slow from poison sting/ SS soo you can deal alot of damage while they're slo. ok strat. 7/10

This is a really simple but nice build, but where's the lothar or the blink dagger? Should add one of those items for those items are key items for the venomancer, but really a nice build anyway except for the absence of the lothar or the dagger.

I prefer to get Plague Ward skill done earlier because it costs only 25 mana and has a 6 sec cooldown so you can push a tower only with one weave. The other thing i like to use is Maelstorm because it has nice range for the chain lightening so even if the Poison Nova leave them at red hp, the chain will finish them totally. It's cheap and it's bringing you a LOT of money so u can finish Aghanim easyer

U need tele dagger for attacking 40% of the heros. the other 60% u need steroids.

Definitely, the best hero in my arsenal! Venomancer really has one of the most powerful and devastating ultimates in DotA! The strat is good but the item build is not so nice! Another thing, the escape route is NOT advisable! If you can use your Shadow Strike without a problem, then don't hesitate to use it on the enemy hero chasing you to death instead of a Plague Ward! It's way better than Plague Ward and Plague Ward is not useful at all! Also, try buying him Dagger of Escape or Lothar's Edge, Hyperstone, Sange & Yasha, Buriza and MKB! Take our advice and it would be nice! TANK you!

wards and poison aint that important IMHO. And also stat gives u mana for SS + Ulti combos early game.

i think finishing poison sting at level 7 is very important because it will keep your enemies from getting exp from lanes in the beginning. it actually lasts 7 seconds and thats 7x20 =140 extra damage. All you have to do is attack the hero ONCE and you'll have that damage on him. then you keep doing that and he'll never get exp.

Poison Sting only lasts 2 seconds. And if people click on the ward, all they have to do is click on you back, and if you actually take the time to make a ward, it gives your enemy more time to catch up to you, so in conclusion, wards suck. shouldn't get them at all except very last 4 levelz :D.

about the poison nova damage:

u said that the damage at lv3 was 972 and 1296 at aghanims. DOES POISON NOVA GO THROUGH ARMOR AND BLOCK REGEN??????? can't be sure, huh???

this guide is ok but instead of s and y,and amagamis scepter get monkey king bar and buzaria because in late game every1s helth is very high and ultis will not be to use ful

You need get Shadow Strike and poison rigth away. plague ward later.

sry for the use of short form...heehee, well this is i think gd especially when u r soloing a top or btm lane. Y? well, as u might have notice, SS at lv2 is 105 mana and keeps increasing without decreasing the cd. Then y oni 1 PT? well, lv1-4 has the same slow status oni more dmg, what u wan now is to slow the enemy without spending the extra skills points on the same skill without any more slower. Next qn u might ask, y go for PW and get high lvs? Well, at top or btm, u may be face with gangs, where? From river and the forests. PW gives u free wards in 1 sense, with its awesome cd and helps in pushing if u and ur ally decides on a push down lv1 tower. Also it irritates meelee heros when u place ur wards when they cant reach u...wakakakka

Uh don't get aghanim. Late game, 20 damage extra per sec of ulti would not make much of diff.
Just farm for PT, S and Y, Buriza and Butter. You will get Beyond Godlike.

If the game goes on, please change Vanguard to a Heart of Tarrasque, Buriza or MKB.

ok guide ..well i usually kill a hero with shadow strike , poison nova's not that necessary unless you're fighting against the whole pack .. add Buriza and u will own ..

Think about the wards! You storm a lane with wards when You're on low hp then walk off to buy stuff/heal, the free wards didn't cost you nothin and yet you get free XP and cash from the wards' kills. Btw item build, build sny asap more stable and keeps you alive more than power treads, and then get boots of travel for easy escape later in the game

veno is great!!!
ensures a kill especially on early game... makes him a killermachine... i think veno needs stats coz there would be a shortage of mana after casting nova in early game... i tried 3 - 4 wraithbands and it did gr8 there would be an extra SS after casting SS+PN around LVL6 - 8... and i'm able to build SnY earlier and AS...thnx 4 d guide

Plague wards is for pushing tower actually . When your creeps come, just plant 2 wards there and slowly push, it also helps u get the last hit on towers with more wards

You should get lothars, you know pop up from no where and use poison!!!

nice strategie, but when i used venomancer i could kill a beserker (forgot his name) with just poison sting at lvl 1 (and i did) but i think one good item would be loathers edge (going into combat and using ulti).

one effective strategie is you doing a suicide, firslty you get loathers then you jumpinto a bunch of enemies and use ulti lvl 3. your sure to die but you get them all on 50 hp or less (for int and agility heros) then banehallow can just jump in and pick off them, its proven i did it/
