ypu would only need 1 level of open wounds early, as the slow rate is unchanged . If you say you want lifesteal, i would say it's kinda silly earlier since i believe no one would get mask of death for a start. feast deals less damage on heroes with lower HP. you info is wrong

this would leave you un effective mostly. what naix should do, is get armlet early and then mkb or radiance. Armlet early gives him the armor and HP(cont)

he lacks to rambo with towers and creeps. MKB is for DPS boosting or radiance for better farm performance. butterfly is plain hideous since what you need is massive speed and damage. eagle is crappy to farm up for early so hyper would be it. i would rather get another hyper instead of this

i think this guide is a bit lacking, i would say 7/10

you also left out a very important mass HP healing tactic which is wounds + infest, that will heal full HP

and lastly, screenies arent much helpful. what naix needs, is a replay of great teamwork

the new naix is weaker than the old one but this one is more versatile.

i also find that it is easier to rush the armlet and tend to only get 1 level of fest early game then alternate between rage and open wounds

and i pretty much agree with most of what CF[X] said, still a good guide but butterfly is better than hyperstone but then hyperstone has 1/3 the cost.

oh right and i also disagree with satanic as rage disables it. ^_^ for that reason SnY is a great item for him.

sry man... Can tell you put quite a bit of effort on this guide. But I disagree on adding too many points to open wounds. It's really the slow that matters. I go for either rage or stats depending on who I'm up against. And oh yea, hotd, then armlet. Unholy rage cancels out feast if i'm not mistaken. And since you already have feast, satanic isn't needed that early. And another thing, the butterfly is a litttllee too strange for me :/

you want some damage don't buy these items, buy Butterfly instead because N'aix don't really depends on just more attack, he depends on STRENGTH, IAS and LIFESTEAL.

Strength and lifesteal isnt really offensive. A buriza is good in late games because it allows more hp gain in a single hit. And bfly has low damage (30) :/

Anyway its a nice strat 8/10.

adding on to the 1st comment, satanic isnt really that useful in mid game because you dont have the damage yet. With HotD + damage, you could steal just as much life :)

if you are going to get armlet at all you need to do it early, otherwise you are better of buying a reaver then turning it into a heart.

not good... you should get armlet before tarrasque... feast does more damage when your enemy has gree life...

Well, it's kinda good... It CAN work, but there are often better things you can do...
The skill builds are fine, (wounds maxed early is for cooldown), but it's the items I don't agree with...
Satanic is kinda bad for this guy, you say you get weaker during the fight and Satanic helps you then, well, imo, that's what Rage is for... And it cancels Satanic, so I think you'd be better off spending that money for an earlier Armlet... HotD is all the lifesteal you will need together with feast...

it doesnt stack, but the only time u dont get lifesteal is when u get maim ;P so it doesnt rly matter if it doesnt stack.
its alot easier to kill with naix if he has S & Y.

lifesteal in the beginning is also bought because his passive lifesteal gets lower during the fight. Now for Opening Wounds: U can cast this at 2 times. When you are attacking a hero or when a hero flees. Mostly i use this in early game in the beginning of the fight so he gets damaged a lot and im not thx to 25% lifesteal. The purpose Naix has to do is farm and stay in lane until he farmed enough for his items.

I mean low hp heroes will suffer from it much thx to the bonus damage from feast. It's quite a punch for low hp heroes in early game. No misunderstandings here.
Where does it stand im rushing hearts? I get Armlet first i think. I just buy Satanic early so he can survive more easily from gangs and he can jungle easily.

I can live with it that u suggest buy another hyperstone instead of a Butterfly.

No Unholy rage does not cancel out feast. If u look carefully when playing him u will see 2 lifeleeches at once on him. Butterfly is only bought to IAS and the evasion. Continue

For instance, Feast doesn't ramp up very much, you spend three skill points to increase its power by 75% versus lvl1? And the others are correct in that the slow on Wounds remains the same.

OK. The items... I dislike the 'you must get Satanic and no other orb' ruling you have, while I do acknowledge it is a superior orb. Vlads-Deso is nasty, SnY I know works, and Ghost is right that Rage will debuff Satanic's Unholy Rage. Also, Bashers are nearly as good on the new Naix as on the old Naix.

Screenies... a little hard to see. The weather didn't help. The Infest ones in particular, I could only tell because I knew what to look for - inexperienced players won't know.

Nonetheless it is a decent guide and it says how to use the skills effectively, which is probably the most important part to the new Naix - beyond that its just point and click to be honest. I say 9/10, room for improvement. Possibly a secondary build. Of course, that won't be instant if you're also working on an Alchemist guide for the competition, good luck.

Ern just asking for Rage:
A skill which you will use often from mid till late game. You don't actually need it in early game but in late game it becomes one of your best spells. Also a nice disabler for channeling spells and the magic immunity can also be used for escaping so you won't take any damage from the spells they sent to you.

What does it mean by it's a disabler?

Yeah i think when u ativate unholy str, and the stanatic, then rage. The buffs would cancel out..

to everyone saying to get S&Y instead of Satanic for maim, why dont you just get both. I KNOW it says that orb effects wont stack but in the case of these two they wont go off at the same time. i.e. if maim goes of then lifesteal wont but otherwise every other attack will steal have lifesteal which means these two skills pretty much stack perfecty as two different orbs. I think its a good way to build naix, i personally dont play him much but when i do i have an int build for him... CONT

CONT, but thats just cause i like to try new and different builds on him, eg i get a dagon to eliminate the reduction in damage as the heroes hp goes down cause once its low enough i just kill them, also get guinsoo's and/or malevolence so spell casters do f8ck all but thats just me. note on open wounds, its initial slow is 100% you then gain back 14.285% of your movespeed each second for 7 seconds, this gives you roughly 4 seconds of adequate slow to use, when you factor in 80% IAS from rage you are probably going to land about 7 hits in those 4 seconds once you have farmed a bit, this is statistically perfect for landing a maim.
chances are you are going to kill the smaller heroes in less than that amount of time but one can't be too careful.
14% IMS is great for running.

well... Satanic doesn't exactly enable you to survive ganks. Feast+HoTd is actually more than enough for me. And not only that, since you said feast+satanic helps you survive ganks, then the evasion for butterfly isn't really necessary. Besides, the green swords aren't cheap either...

oh yeah, screenies aren't really needed to show how to kill for naix. It's pretty straightfoward lol

Your item selections are limited considering the farming potential of the new naix. Naix own ancients early game so damage items like mkb/ radience is no problem to get. I think HotD is enough. get hearts instead if you want to tank or else get buriza if you want damage. Also, i think you also consider S&Y. It is much more needed to chase while OW is in cooldown.

Nice strat helped a lot,although i've been using almost the same item build on the new naix ever since they changed him 10/10

I like rushing MKB because you can take down an int or agi hero very quik! an int hero with 1000 hp it´s food with open wounds+feast+rage(spell inmunity) GG!
You must consider MKB, couse you get
Massive damage with rage. For a killer naix I would keep my MKB ^^, for a tank, satanic.
Also basher is to consider, for the combo.

Still, I want a more serious build

Well what I was trying to say with basher is that is great for the combo OpenWounds+feast+rage+MKB Serious damage! With a MKB you have a strong Mid-game, but it depends on the role you are playing, if your team dosn´t have a tank you could build a heart or Satanic,
But for hero killing, Dominator and MKB are nasty.
Do you have a more Killer Build? something reasonable...

I mean resonable by not saying, BURIZA, MKB, DESO, RADIANCE and you will own!

Guys, his Reaver was for Satanic. If you check out his screenshots he doesn't even have HoT on his inventory. I'll try Armlet before Satanic before I comment further. For now, I really liked the part about alternative item builds.

It's much more realistic to have a substitute for Satanic in mind rather than some of the other guides that basically just tell you to buy 4 x level 4 items without thinking for a moment how on earth anyone can farm for 20k worth of gold.

well. i just get level 1 feast because Rage is definately a good early game ki lling move... feast, open wounds, open wounds, rage, open wounds, rage, open wounds, rage, rage. and u do NOT need more life steal with someone that already has it.

The lifesteal from Opening Wounds also helps your allies.

when i play this guy i get lv one open wounds, then rage. the slow on wounds doesn't go up per level, and i have never ned the lifesteal. And rage is really good, by level 11 i can kill ppl in like 3-5 seconds. curuis and MKB are prety good for this guy, 2. also, you should start creeping at level 7 with level 4 feast, you wan creep like cents, furbolgs, and even dragons at that point.

other than that stuff, good guide for him.

new naix isnt is great but still aint wroth a testicle of old naix , sry btw farming mid game in the forest isnt efective only early game , starting items for a pure jungling guilde should be 2 stout shields and u can jungle from lvl 1 and kill ancients at lvl 7 u can get up too 10k gold till lvl 15 if u famred well

I say I rate this 5 out of 10 cause u made armlet late game already when it is very useful for naix in early game.....gago.....and Satanic is not that very useful for naix since he has already lifesteal i would make SnY than Satanic and replace satanic with vlads.haha fool fool fool....

I like the guide except a couple things. first of all the screenshots dont really show how to use naix (save a couple) more of just you killing people. also satanic is canceled by rage . i tried ur guide as soon as i read it and found it works better if u get armlet before satanic as i had figured partway into ur guide. I dont disagree with satanic but wouldnt vlads armlet and HoT be beter? and also, why do you only have 2 bracers treads and a reaver at 38 minutes. good work tho

Pretty good guide, but one more extra tip :

You can use Rage to escape skills like, Epicenter, Freezing Fields, and even lots of AoE spells, although, Black Hole now silences(not really, but you can't use skills, pretty much the same), except if you activate Rage BEFORE black hole.

i start playing the new naix with your guide. i only notice that obtaining armlet of mordiggian early is better. and by advise of others, sange and yasha is useful than satanic.

u could of explained a little bit more about armlet but its still good.

in my opinion i like to get armlet early because it helps your build up for other item much faster, due to the +25str
armlet is also a good savivability item as well w/ the much needed hp burst when activated because when your hp is around 200 deactivate armlet(warning!! this brings your hp down to 1)and straight away reactivate it giving you a instant 475hp =)
remember that armlet has 10sec cd

A - gives +9 damage +15% aspd +5 armor +3 hp regen (active +25 strength, -30 life/second
H - gives +300 Hit Points +11 HP/Sec Regeneration +35 Strength
R - gives +25 Strength

for an extra 350 you can buy the passive from armlet without losing life then turn it into a heart.

therefore you get armlet early because it is easier to farm and its abilities are more suited to early game. (small passive regen ect.)

ghost armlet gives 25 str and 40 dmg when activated

Another thing. Hiding in enemy or allied units with infest isn't a very good idea all the time. You should hide in roshan as he has the highest hp you know.

dont finish bracer at start of the game, it costs 175 gold and only gives u +1 stats, u have enough slots for items at beginning, so buy components of another bracer or branches/tangos, u will benefit more from it

Minor point that it is, he is right. 1 Gauntlet and 2 Circlets would be better, or similar.

Been waiting for a new N'aix guide since they revamped him. Great guide. I don't see why people don't use him anymore. Really, he's not as bad as people put him out to be.

Well this is an ok strat.
My build is tread vlad satanic hyperstone basher and if its possible get a mkb but this build is working for me.

To those that say that Rage debuffs Satanic:

Yeah. Rage may debuff Satanic. But it works when you first activate Rage, then Satanic. If you activate first Satanic, then Rage, It will be totally useless.

I say Vlads > satanic, because the lifesteal isn't an orb and it gives minor aura benifits, as well as being cheaper.

SnY isn't really needed on N'aix, Buriza or MKB is better if you add in a hyperstone like this tems buid. However, Rage has a high chance to main, so SnY may be worth it if used well

N'aix can be a tank with Vlads, Vanguard, and HoT.

He can also be a herokiller with Satanic/SnY, MKB, and Hyperstone.

a niax with just SNY, 2x Basher and GG
and den just make a satanic and den burizda for damage

he does not need aspd becuz of his 1st spell

more attack speed makes feast work better, you could do more damage but then you would loose potential feast damage.

u have given accurate details of how to play naïf but I completly disagree with ur item build ok not completly only the butterfly part u should replace with radiance cuz farming for thus. Guy is very hard and would be easier aid a rushed radiance if possibe or else after satanic and mordigonnab armlet as he is a tank and very use full in ganks

as many have pointed, HotD gives more lifesteal compared to satanic early (because of the +20 damage). also, i think you missed something important. in 5v5 battles naix would do best if he tries not to get a kill. i mean attack full hp heroes bring them to red hp and then attack the next full hp hero and leave your allies deal with the 1st one. your damage drops really quick with your target's hp. so you should elaborate naix's role in teamplay better i think.

I quite agree with Counter Force..... though not fully. The open wound is not use in early game as the lifesteal is not that much...... even if its 25% it wont heal much. i prefer to go jungle with 2 stout and get feast and stats before open wounds. or maybe 1 lvl of open wounds the slow effect is the same.

lol i used this strat in a 2v2 nd i did exactly as u sed - exept in was om so nd i wos on the scourge so i couldnt hunt ppl in the jungle - but this dude owns!!! i had vengeful spirit on mi team nd this dude is good as for first blood cos of damage amp.

and that pic wen ur attacknig roshan is dum cos ive seen ppl solo him at like lvl 10 nd the cum out with more hp than that. try do it at about lvl 10 with power treads, helm of the dominator, 2 bracer and helm of iron will. nd it was a 5v5 game aswell

i used the items you dont prescribe but i got a triple kill and they cant kill me..

2 basher
threads
dominator
midas
void stone

and why did you didnt get the infest?
i used midas for farming, and infest for farming too and regeneration. actually i didn't go back to the fountain when i get the midas. and i bought the dominator from the hidden shop..
i also summoned a bradwarden. then i farm in the scourge's farm site then i got a triple kill.

to be continued..

...some of my enemies are stunner too, but i used 2 bradwarden and first stun them then i will hit one, when the stun came off, i will activate my rage then wait for the cooldown. and when i have a low health, i will infest one of my bradwarden.just try my comment...
