MY guide was a bit wacked out before and now i've decided to update it to a exponentially more efficient skill and item build. Now i will truly show you the power of Pit Lord.

Azgalor - Pit Lord


Range: 100 | Move Speed: 305
Primary: STR
Str: 25 + 2.6 | Agi: 12 + 1.3 | Int: 17 + 2.6
Damage: 62 - 68 | HP: 625 | Mana: 221
HP Regen: 1 | Mana Regen: 0.69
Attack Speed: 0.66 | Armor: 5
Firestorm Firestorm (F)
Calls down 6 waves of fire that damage enemy units in an area. Each wave deals initial damage and then burns enemies for 2 seconds.
Level 1 - 25 wave damage, 5 damage per second.
Level 2 - 40 wave damage, 10 damage per second.
Level 3 - 55 wave damage, 15 damage per second.
Level 4 - 70 wave damage, 20 damage per second.
• Damage type: magic
• Casting range: 750
• Area of Effect: 400
Mana Cost: 100/110/120/130
Cooldown: 14
Comment: This is your main farming skill. It can wipe out entire creep waves in it's duration, however it is bad in a 1v1 hero fight since it can be dodged. Also very useful in huge team battles or when defending. Best used in combo with pit of malice and hex.

Pit of Malice Pit of Malice (T)
A deadly pit is conjured at target location. Any unit that enters it becomes corrupted with malicious forces and are unable to move for some time.
Level 1 - Ensnares enemies in the target area for 1.5 seconds.
Level 2 - Ensnares enemies in the target area for 2 seconds.
Level 3 - Ensnares enemies in the target area for 2.5 seconds.
Level 4 - Ensnares enemies in the target area for 3 seconds.
• A unit can be disabled by this spell only once per cast.
• A unit affected by this skill cannot go invisible when disabled.
• This skill affects magic immune units.
• Casting range: 800
• Area of Effect: 400
Mana Cost: 100/115/130/145
Cooldown: 24/21/18/15
Comment: This is your skill for escaping/killing early. Later on it becomes useful in team battles and is a key part of the triple circles combo.
Expulsion Expulsion (E)
Ignites the rotten gases of corpses, detonating them to cause damage to any enemy within the explosion radius. Each explosion fuels another until there are no more corpses in the area. Does a ministun on damaged units.
Level 1 - 20 damage and ministun per corpse.
Level 2 - 40 damage and ministun per corpse.
Level 3 - 60 damage and ministun per corpse.
Level 4 - 80 damage and ministun per corpse.
• Damage type: magic
• Explodes a corpse once every second.
• Stops when it fails to find a corpse in the area two times in a row.
• Casting range: 750
• Area of Effect: 500 (finding corpses) / 400 (corpse explosions)
Mana Cost: 75
Cooldown: 10
Comment: This is great in huge team battles. This is semi-useless early (contradicting my guides previous skill build here)
Dark Rift Dark Rift (D)
Opens rifts that pass through the netherworld at his present position and a target unit simultaneously. Teleports your hero and nearby allied heroes through the rift.
Level 1 - 6 second teleportation delay, allied buildings only.
Level 2 - 5 second teleportation delay, allied units and buildings only.
Level 3 - 4 second teleportation delay, allied units and buildings only.
• Units hidden by spells such as Astral Prison will not be teleported.
• Area of Effect: 375

Mana Cost: 75/150/225
Cooldown: 180/160/140
Comment: Great, Escape with your whole team, Enter with your whole team for a surprise attack, get around faster, and early on, escape a gank. It's a great and versatile ultimate. Only one level is needed until level 15 because of its increasing manacost.

a gud item for him would be rush shivas
i tried it and it's good. for skills, i use firestorm and expulse cause i need to farm a lot for the mystic staff. and when you have shiva's go get a travel next and guinsoo and any other things u want. and you'll be able to farm like hell and whack the living shit out of the other team.

This is not a great guide any more with changes to items and the fact that pitlord should be team support, not in the middle of the fight.

In professional matches I play him as a push and counter push. after a few levels you should have farmed your void and to skip Pit Of Malice for stats is just plain silly. No matter who your laning with if you have an opposing hero with less than 700 health in your lane, you and partner can push him out or kill him with good pit flame and nuke. Update plz.

pitlord can stop an enemy push in its tracks, the triple circle shuts down any push because it wrecks the creeps so no fodder for towers

Pit lord's one of my best heroes for helping out my team; with pit, expulsion, and firestorm, most team clashes go down fast as the other team is taking on lots of damage, and that's not including the damage my melee attack does (I use Battle Fury while they're still stuck in pit). Defending the base or pushing, Pit Lord does it all.

Lol was playing pitlord while playing him now, just realize that no enemy can escape you rofl. funny how i killed centaur, pit, guinsoo, shiva, chase, pit guinso shiva chase did it a couple of times then i finally killed him lol

Also he is a killer at mid game cuz of sny and his high ms, and becomes more of a support/mass pusher at late game.

Guide actually works especial bottle > sacred relic > radiance > boots > BoT you just have to be patient and stay low. Late game he pushes like hell, but i prefer after sny i prefer shivas then guinsoo then HoT

You should put a note in the good allies section about the Undying. His Tombstone spell and the Pit Lord's Expulsion synergize very well. The zombies' corpses get blown up by Expulsion and cause even more damage.

not rly good..
i get ring of bassilus not bottle, go mid, dont get hex but shiva , hearth, preservance after bassilus, and boots of travel.. late game upgrade preservance to linken sphere... that's a better tactic for me, i mean this is a more support / tank tactic but if u have non-noob team then tank like this would help a lot

u dont upgrade basilus. keep it until you need to sell it your slot for better items.

i make 2 bfury for pitlord. ul get almost unlimited mana and spam with short cooldowns.

ul make ur team untouchable with all your skills keep on coming!

expulsion? semi useless. u regret sayin that u know. i have 5 heroes with red or at least yellow while remain unscathed with that skill. hehe, just an advice that skills gud. might be a gud idea to lvl up that 1st.
