I'v been playing this hero recently and i found he's a lot stronger than he lets off. At first glance his skills are average to good at best, but if utilised properly chen can can get kills like no other hero!

	Chen - The Holy Knight Range: 600 \| Move Speed: 300 Primary: INT Str: 20 + 1.5 \| Agi: 15 + 2.1 \| Int: 21 + 2.8 Damage: 43 – 53 \| HP: 530 \| Mana: 273 HP Regen: 0.85 \| Mana Regen: 0.85 Attack Speed: 1.44 \| Armor: 2
	Penitence (E) Forces a unit to accept punishment for their sins, causing them to move slower and accept more damage from attacks or spells. Lasts 7 seconds. Level 1 - 8% movement speed reduction, and 7% increased damage taken. Level 2 - 16% movement speed reduction, and 14% increased damage taken. Level 3 - 24% movement speed reduction, and 21% increased damage taken. Level 4 - 32% movement speed reduction, and 28% increased damage taken. Mana Cost: 100 Cooldown: 15 Comment: use it to gank, escape and combine it with some handy nukes from you and your team mates. Excellent assist skill for high damage per second heros who dont have any means to persue heros for the kill.
	Test of Faith (F) If cast on enemy, will deal variable damage based on the units faith. If cast on allied Hero, it will teleport him to the fountain. Allies can ignore the effect of Test of Faith by typing -disablehelp in advance, and type -enablehelp if they need it. Instantly teleports Chen`s persuaded units to the fountain. (Note: Faith seems to mean completely random) Level 1 - 50-100 Damage to foes, 6 second casting time for allies. Level 2 - 100-200 Damage to foes, 5 second casting time for allies. Level 3 - 150-300 Damage to foes, 4 second casting time for allies. Level 4 - 200-400 Damage to foes, 3 second casting time for allies. Mana Cost: 140 Cooldown: 30 Comment: very handy nuke and as well as a life saver for your team mates.
	Holy Persuasion (R) Takes control of a target unit. Cannot persuade allied units, Ancients, enemy hero images, and Necronomicon summons. If the persuaded unit has timed life, it will die after the timer is over. If you persuade additional units after you`ve persuaded the maximum number of units, one of the units, not necessarily the last one, will die. Level 1 - Unit Max. 75 HP Bonus. Level 2 - Unit Max. 150 HP Bonus. Level 3 - Unit Max. 225 HP Bonus. Level 4 - Unit Max. 300 HP Bonus. Mana Cost: 100 Cooldown: 30 Comment: I only put 1 point into this skill early on for farming and max it out later. The reason you shouldnt take in the begining is because its difficult to manage an entire army early on. An alternate strategy is to max this out and only go forest creeping instead of staying in your lane. I find the forest creeping startegy not to to be the best choise.
	Hand of God (D) Fully Regenerates your own units, which may include your chicken, converted creeps, Necronomicon summons and images etc. Heals all allied heores on the map. Level 1 - 200 HP Healed. Level 2 - 300 HP Healed. Level 3 - 400 HP Healed. Mana Cost: 150 / 200 / 250 Cooldown: 70 Comment: When combined with mekanism can grant a cool 650hp heal to all your teammates.

i like it but why spend more than 4000 gold to upgrade dagon while u can buy something better?
if u hurry with skadi that will be more usefull

Um wtf 3 dagons? No-no! Much better items, Do they have same cool down?

Strategy is ok, but still, The item build is a no! Linkons, Arcane ring, instead of 2 dagons.

he dosnt have 3 dagons they just symbolize what it would cost to upgrade them to lvl 5

The Centaur doesn't have Command Aura, it has Endurance Aura

um ganksta? he means buying the UPGRADE to dagon not to buy another one.... you should probably think more about it than critasize someone's strat.

Interesting... I haven't been able to do jack with this hero as of yet. Next time I random him I'm definitely going to try this... I never would have thought of an early persuasion; how do you find a decent creep without wasting a ton of time wandering around?

thanks for all the feedback guys. If you want a good creep and your sentinal, the lower right part of the map in the forest is your best choise for a good creep. If your scourge go to the upper left hand side and look around. Your bound to find atleast 1 good creep. Preferably a troll. Remember to buy all your items fast and leave base early to do so.

add doom bringer to your list of worst enemies. lol. he just might eat your little friends. and hand of midas can also be used to counter chen; unless of course all those you persuaded are level 6 (saytr hellcaller).

i like using dagon with chen too. that and eye of skadi. pretty hard hero to use though,

Wahahahahah!!! Your build is near mine, homie! Uber-ownage, y'all!!! Kill n steal for me. Lion's my best friend when it comes to Chen. Give him and yourselves a refresher and dagon 5, and also aghanims for lion. Impale, Penitence, E-burst(Lion), FoD, E-Burst(Chen), refresh (both), FoD, Impale, E-Burst(Both)!!! OWN them all!!!!!!!!!

upgrading to lvl 2 or 3 if you got lots of money is enough for dagon.

more money to spend towards eye of skadi and necronomican upgrades

I really like de persuasion as first skill. As for iten build u could go for Desolator and Armor Curiass is a good iten for your army and heroes 2. Do it if no one else in your team is doing it.

the strat is VERY possible! but for newbies and average players, it's nearly IMPOSSIBLE!

micro needs a lot of experience, it's not just like sylla bear and his spirit bear. it's about an ARMY with different skills!

it my take you a long time to pick the one creep and use the skill then the other then it's skill too.

master to use micro. then it is godlike!!

holy knight? i went 11-1 with this hero. Its pure IMBA. Both in support and killing. It's penitence is almost far too strong. But the cooldowns are long though...

Overall good but for the hell you need dagon lvl5?? It's a lil' additional when u get all base items and u have really pwn DOTA and u don't care about money. The best build for him is: arcane ring, boots of speed (Boots of Travel later if u wanna and have much money), dagon (lvl 2 or 3 when u have pwnage) and then eye of skadi. Chen it's the best vs low health heroes and he can pwn really early but u must get good stuff. This strategy for me it's for 7/10.

early, there were some comments on the expense of the items, well, es it IS expensive, if you read every part of the strat., then you'll see bucci said add skadi IF NEEDED, plus once you play chen a lot you change the items a bit, that would be the "dream" items, entirely possible for a good farmer with chen, you may not get some of the items, great thing about dota, you can make your own item build, jsut use lets say this strat as a guide. Just for example I got a razor and built him four bashers, treads and skadi! BWAHAHA I actually did really well LOL try it if you don't beleive me

Yeah good guide but it chen would be better if you buy helm of dominator cause you would have around 6-7 creeps at your control and if your good and microing or macroing not sure = you would be a really strong hero.

Early game, Pudge is a horrible enemy. He dragged me from my convoy and used his ult which stalls me from moving for 3 secs, and had his team gangbang me. I hated him..

I think I'd spend money on the dagon upgrades if the game lasts longer than usual. I do understand your reason for dagon 5 since chen has few offensive moves and that he's mainly a support hero. great guide. 10/10

damn are u guys retarded. The reason why he says to get high level dagon is because of penitence. It gives 28% increase damage. so if u dagon u get extra damage. Thats why its important to get nukes with this hero. This is a HERO KILLING guide for chen. Not the pushing guide which lots of people play.

i agree with the ppl who think this build is expensive...instead of lvl 5 dagon why not get a lvl 1 and buy something to make you into a battle-mage =D...
oh yeah you can add another enemy to your list...if you're walking around in a big group its a perfect chance for Raigor too have fun lol...overall this strat is ok..you could of made it a little more detailed but still good =D...

good start... i think the dagon would be a last item coz it will just drain your mana... and is item damage included as magical to sync with penitence? i think not... not sure though...

manta? > for the hp... understandable helm of dominator?> hmmm.. wasted money... IMO... not needed...

deso is a good item... skadi is always good but not much a farmer hero... will take a long time...

good strat... newbie friendly... but the dagon i think you dont have to upgrade it... will cost alot of mana... just rush skadi or deso first and bot with deso or just boots for skadi...

h0w about the new creeps? in 6.51? best item for this guy is guinsoo for more disable!!! first go for mekansm the go guinsoo!! you dont need skadi chen is that a good killer!! dagon+penitence is stong but not in late game and your just waseting your money on it!! !!!!
