Great guide. IMO, i would get armlet first because of its great synergy with your skills.

Armlet would be good for Huskar would actually benefit from the hp loss, and his inner vitality would also help to neutralize or maybe slow down the damage taken. His berserker blood will activate too. Maybe the armlet was made for Huskar...

O.K.A.Y guide, but you dont really need the HoT not even one cause your heal skill is more than enough to heal your self in situations.

Imo 2 levels of BS are enough and then go for BB first. Given BS loses effectiveness quite early while IV gains power at the same rate.

Also BS goes from 6 dps level 1 in 2 steps...which is only a 33% increase from level 1 to 2 (10 total damage). This is just not enough to get it to higher levels.

Awesome Huskar guide! Yeah, I suggest to learn inner vitality at least 1 to avoid fountain trip if ever your lane match is a spammer like leshrac or lich. Overall, I'll give it 9/10 coz there are hidden points that you would've specified

anyway this is for newbies so i think this will do...

for pro's, i may suggest to buy a helm of dominator eventhough is does not synergize with your skill! why? the helm of dominator would lessen the minus of the armlet of mordiggan.. also, usually in a game, eventhugh you have a lifesteal, your hp still decreases fast especially if you are soft as a paper and you are battling mighty enemies.. the +20 atk would help a lot with huskar... substituting a vanguard for the helm will also be good

y'know what?.... after argueing that burning spear sucks late game and the lifesteal method is better and blah blah blah.... i tried it out.... BS on huskar.... gosh i tell you.... you'll only need a ring of health and the lane is all yours.... almost no one can handle the early game harassments from huskar.... i once laned with tidehunter both solo.... and he had to have like 4 fountain trips and hardly was able to stay in lane.... wow-ness... anyway.... now that i get it.. BS IS the way to go

cont: and anyway.... good guide.... but for me.... i always get a vanguard early on.... it helps me tower dive and gank everywhere without worrying of my low armor.... since early game a vanguard is all you need to start tanking.... and erm btw.... if you want to get an armlet.... do it before the heart.... they do help O_o....

i don`t understand your guide. If you have hood and vanguard you can kill rotundjere,mogulkhan,lina,lion so easily. But huskar never kills bushers. It`s very difficult.

dont think they penalize you for triple posting in strat comments. But anyway, you just made my skills in huskar from a zero, to a 23 kills killing spree. I got a satanic instead though. because while taking on 5 opponents, satanic plus inner vitality just keeps your hp at a perfect low. It doesn't go any lower even if you've activated armlet.

Nice guide, the only bad thing is u lack armor , so ur EHP isnt very high. Meaning u will deal very high damage to urself and the remaining HP isnt very effective.

BKB is great, but i don thnk it should be core, because when theres no disables/slows u dont need it.

1 more thing, u may consider MOM or HotD for huskar, because you autocast spears when farming so extra damag and lifesteal from HotD is good. MoM is also good burst fully make use of the 5 sec slow and damage from Bersk blood.

ok how to survive?
just do it like heroes without vitality or lifesteal

basically, level 1 life break should only be used when against 1-2 enemies with allies

trust me, the only drawback of this builds is no extra slow

skadi+satanic however is a horrible build is you face heroes with good lane control.

and you waste a good skill

MoM is hideously dumb. with one of the lowest armor, this is suicide against most heroes

CFX it doesnt make sense. FV is very weak yet MoM is good on him. And is MOM makes you take in 20% bonus damage. But it can definitely imporve your damage output a lot more...

Void has armor as he is an Agility hero, Huskar doesn't have nearly as much. Plus, Huskar damages himself, so turning on MoM amplifies the damage he does to himself (bad move).

Lifesteal does NOT stack with Spears.
Skadi does NOT stack with Spears.
Lifesteal DOES stack with Skadi (Ranged only, but Huskar is ranged).

Nice guide for amateurs like me. When I played Huskar for the first time, I got S&Y for him and MKB, still I won. From now on I am gonna build him the items you mentioned. Thanks (10/10)

@gmanj88 i dont suggest for you to buy a stout shield in a 5 on 5 game... i only suggested you to buy a stout in a 3vs3 or 1vs1 since you have spare money for it.. though its still your choice to buy it on a 5vs5 game...

I think the combo order is kind of FAIL.
I explain why.

Armlet gives you 500hp bonus when activated (cause of STR)
If you activate it before Life Break, a third of the HP you gained will be lost!!

The HP difference is not to be taken lightly, if you use is early game without any HoT.

So Life break should be done before armlet.

Great strategy dude, gratz, it's much better than 'The emo kid', very good, not expensive tactic, and you write everything what should Huskar player know, gratz again of course 5/5

okay, I tested out this guide. Only problem I have now is on how to survive. I can get like 20+kills. but I can also get 10 deaths. So... rushing for lifesteal shouldnt be too bad an idea once everyone's lvl 16

Combo sequence:

- cast inner vitality

- turn armlet on

- turn BKB on

- cast life break on target

- orb walk with burning spears

as you can see... you turn armlet on before turning BKB on... before casting life break onto the target.. which means that you wont take damage from your life break cuase BKB is on... i hope ot solve your problem ^^

Personally I think the best time to activate armlet is when you can already see the berserker's blood buff, the sudden boost in hp can turn the tides in a losing fight or simply use it like if it were a meka.

I was hesitant about buying BKB, but it really does work wonders. Other builds, such as lifesteal, may work well but permabashers and nukers will still have a definite edge over you. The BKB, particularly Avatar, may catch overconfident nukers/stunners off guard! I used to use lifesteal and no BS...n00b... but this guide shows Huskar's true potential!

9/10 guide. I love huskar. What I do early game is get 3 gauntlets, then move onto bracers, treads, armlet, and mkb. If I got extra money, then more MKB. I love the attack speed.

However, I will give this bkb a try and more hearts now, and screw the bracers.

I followed this guide in a 1 vs 1 game against Axe. I had never played Huskar before, but the guide made me confident enough to pick him. I got pawned early on and I had 0-3 in kills and deaths but when I reached mid game I started to pawn him. At the end I won with 11-3 and my inventory looked exactly as in this guide. Great guide I must say, 9/10.

@fwii - you have a point there... though whenever i use the armlet i want to abuse its damage.. so i turn it on with my combo.. but still its situational... cause mostly when i gank or i life break someone he usually runs.. so you wont deal that much damage without turning the armlet on ASAP, your style IMO is great in a team clash or if you get ganked.

@ FreakilleR- whats with the quote?. is it about the armlet.. i put it there cause i noticed lots of people requesting a guide of it.

IMO you should get Lothars or blink after BKB, since you have to be close to do your ulti, and it can be very useful for escaping, and this hero doesn't have anything to help him escape except his heal.

lothars gets fucked by gem which is 4 times cheaper

Hmm not really. It gives you all you need except hp(moderate damage, armor and attack speed). Ofc that getting lothars is stupid when you already have 1 or 2 heroes with invisibility(then you can get blink dagger), but I don't think that any team would buy gem only for one hero.

Not bad i guess But I would prefer huskar to get satanic and skadi rather than HoT. That way he cant really die and his berserkers blood will kick in faster

Because its risky to take gem, and very unprofitable unless you are completely fed up.

You can have your own wards.

Lothars is good for everyone who's depended on attacking not spells, and already doesn't have escape spell. Huskar fits here and he also very needs it for his ulti.

now i wont want to add more to my notorious state so I'll explain why is it dumb

-gem cost 4 times lower
-huskar benefits less than 60% of the abilities
-his ulti is one that takes down his own HP, so you apparently see that wasting 4k for an item that only compliments initiating is stupid
-agi does not boost his regen and though needs IAS and damage, planning for AC is definitely better

zeus is a good alliy. he is a finisher too. aslo good guide 9/10

please guy's... as explained in my guide... and by others... lifesteal dont stack with burning spear.... lifesteal wont let you deal pure damage...

and about the lothars and dagger issue.. i dont suggest getting those items cause it will slow your build.... better just ask an ally to stun or disable your target just to kick in a lifebreak.. i must remind you that huskar isn't a great farmer so you must limit you expenses to what will really help you

just a question, if you cast inner vitality then BKB, will the I.V. will fade away when BKB is activated?

And if someone attack you, will the Inner Vitality will be canceled just like a potion?

Nice guide, just one problem I found in your casting sequence with armlet.

I think it is MUCH better to use armlet after the life break so you lose minimum health from life break and come out pretty ok

If you want to stay low your way is better but it's pretty easy to die if you get careless with armlet.

BKB > Interesting. If there´s not much nuke/desable enviroment, you still rush BKB? Why?

Skill Build > Very Interesting. You never auto-cast don´t you? also, what type of damage is? how can you calculate the damage of BS to get a kill?

Item Build > I agree, for newbs it´s very practical to get hot, vanguard and hod. But other than BKB, do you have preferences?

Personal Opinion > Huskar it´s a damage machine. Tanking it´s a waste. Support, only innerV. Get him if DPS needed.

A huskar who gets burning spears is usually the one who owns early. Try orb walking.

He doesn't get heal early. Burning spear will make him lose hp and huskar don't have much hp early. A nuker will own him.

I spent long time using huskar with bs, tried vg, sy, eos and many different builds. Bs helps harrasing non-nuker melee heroes but you stay in lane with low hp all the time, also if do not have heal, very easy to kill. Satanic build is guarenteed to make huskar late game imba tank and dps. Just pt, 2-3 bracer and helm of dominator, becomes very powerful.

Very straight forward and well explained. I think the idea of harassing opponent is pretty good unless you're facing someone like Viper who has more range and is a good harasser. 10/10 IMO.

I own early without getting Burning Spear, I still think everyone should try both ways at least once (and for good measure, at least once when they know what they're doing).

so the conclusion is if you get BF you own even better

lifesteal huskar+EoS owns, however with lower % and not to mention the build is exorbitant. my full CW build costs less and has BoT instead of just 2 tier 4 items

@MeaTWagoN - yes i dont put IV early, but i still own.. and please.. dont even say things like this guide is for"newbies against newbies",.. have you ever faced a decent BS huskar user???..... i'm usually happy if im laned with a nuker, cause i can easily dominate him since his nukes are weak early that i can absorb it and make him move far from the creep wave and harass him if he comes near.. BS wont attract creep agros unlike attacking normally with lifesteal...

and IMO lifesteal does not synergize very well with your BBlood... since you wont receive the full effects of it while lifestealing... which makes them avoid attacking you and target the more fragile heroes in your side..
a full hp huskar is not much of a threat rather than a half hp'd huskar...
IV is enough mid-late game.. lifesteal is just a disable away to be countered...

i think your calculations for the damage from burning spears is wrong.isnt 6 x 5 = 30?

Lifesteal fills your hp, but what about HOT? It doesn't? And I say that I have tried orb walking(creeps don't attack etc.), and I'm sure lifesteal does much better. When facing against noob It destroys him but a decent player will just stay behind and level up, get his nukes and finish you(and u stay in lane with 200-300 hp don't you?) also vulnerable to gank.

Anyway, I respect your hard work, not everyone must have liked your guide. I can see it's succesful one, but I just didn't like

@neimi - "stacks upto 5 times, That would be 180 dps not counting huskar’s normal damage" can you please specify in what part of my guide did you see the 5x6=30 equation??... and thats why you have to cast IV before BKB.. IV last for 16sec. which has a pretty long duration..

@meatwagon-HoT also regen's your hp but not as fast as lifesteal,

@WA®G - yes but it wont be a prob if you have your BKB.. i dont suggest you to approach a full mana witch doctor without a BKB.. since you dont have a stun to cancel his DW.. unless he has no mana (which you should check) or he has low hp...

@LordBonztie - 3 RoH wont give you additional damage and hp... linkens is not a really good item for huskar... you will only benefit from the STS block and hp regen... but the mana regen??.. it will only go to waste..

what happens when a hero under maledict gets hit with LB? or with a perfectly stacked BS?

deso is not good on huskar since it has a orb effect.. which wont stack with burning spear...

heroes enchanted with maledict will suffer tremendous damage when timed well with lifebreak...

WHAT WHAT!???!?!? Never get 2 regen items. Such items like 2 HEARTS will prove terrible.. Why not just fill an assault cuirass. or even the armlet of Mordiggan. both items make him a tank plus adding dps into the REAL beserker Huskar

well im not planning to become a dps'er lategame thats why i get the 2 HoT's... getting 2 of it will make your inner vitality much more effective and lets you have more hp so that you can cast your IV for your allies since they will think twice before they take you on since you have a huge amount of hp..

i can only say: beyond godlike! 10/10.

his tutorial is fair enough.. i prefer having burning spear, then berserkers blood in level 1 , then prioritize inner vitality before adding levels to berserkers and spear.. :) its better if you have inner vitality casted in you before casting ur ulti at the enemy.. :)

and having inner vitality at an early game gives you better advantage..

honestly the best skill build with huskar, it takes some effort trying to survive w/o inner vitailty but u can kill heroes like no other- good guide. i do like early crysalys though =)

Well I have to say your guide is amazing and I can own with Huskar now!! Thing is that most of the time I can get triple kills my enemy runs off!! You have suggested EoS, does this orb effect stack well with Huskar?

@aaronapinto - EoS does not stack with burning spear but you can use it alternatively... normal attack(with slow from EoS) then burning spear vice versa.....

@Saiyuki_Hakusho - well its your choice if you want to opt for vanguard... though i would really be happy if im laned with zeus or lion... cause theyre really fragile and easy first bloods if you know how to handle the situation well.... at early levels theyre skills dont damage that much...

immidiately rush in to the target once both of your creeps touches each other.... and orb walk him to death... dont be afraid if he uses his nukes on you since yours damages far better early... and their normal attacks will just tickle....

@brylesieghy - 1 is considerable... but 2 of it IMO is a waste... since your IV wont have the additional boost cause vanguards doesnt add str on you... better invest on STR giving items...

Good guide, fantastic build. Going burning spear/Blood is the best way to play huskar. His orb harassing at level 1 is beyond retardedly imbalanced. I think you underestimate huskar though, you say 1 ranged 1 melee vs a solo huskar is "last hit and deny?" Pfft, Orb rape both of them, they have no chance.

Items are right on, starting items are dead accurate. Solid build here. Inner Vitality is a definate midgame skill, and blood + burning spear orb raping is INSANE powerful. try it.

My only beef with this build is that you get life break too early. At level 6 you don't want to nuke yourself. You don't have alot of HP (low str gain) until you have items. I wait until 14/15/16 to get life break.

Yes life break gives you your excellent dmg/ias boost from blood, but they are going to nuke you anyway (9/10 times), which would've put you in the exact same spot.

I usually start huskar out with 4 tangos, a gauntlet, and a chicken. Then 5 gaunts and lotsa tangos :P.

Satanic should replace one of those hearts and armlet should be first after treads, IMO, Satanic is an amazing item once you get it, good strength boosts and amazing regen, i tanked 3 guys at once with it, mind you they weren't all soft targets either.

i killed the entire enemy team with PT and S&Y...i added later a MKB with the extra gold i made and it was GG. My final score was 17-4-12, so I consider the 2 HOT are not that necesarly....better add S&Y and MKB, then you could think at a buriza(so you could have even higher DPS whn your HP is low). I think that you don't need those two HOT because, as you said, inner vitality is one of the best healings over time in the game and because the other skills do not require mana you'll have alot heal
