Interesting skill build i am going to try this out today
it was nice a great strategy but i ask , 5 items only ? is the last one optional ? or follow the rule that you should always bring a TownPortal to avoid death
@silent_yet_deadly:
The last ones optional, the item layout is just a basic setout of what I believe to be the essentials regardless of what hero/s your fighting. By the time you have these items, you can add whatever item depending on who your fighting. Theres a few suggestions in then End-game section.
I'll add a few more items to the selection the next time I edit it with some comments below them.
I don't really understand the last skill
Oh my. Quill spray is AWESOME early game. Get a void stone then POOF!! Spam spam spam!! @Beardolla = GTFO NOW
i agree wid yukino quill spray is GREAT for bristleback, should get it early game
I find that getting creep kills is easy enough without quill spray as is hero harrasment. I have played around with it and while its useful early on, I'm generally feel much better off with the boost from raw stats. Stats allow for brute hero killing power, which the sprays generally dont (Unless your going up against a fragile agility hero without and regen that you can spam it on). The stats with goo means that when Im running down the other hero even early on, Im hitting him alot harder, a bit faster and can take a hell of a bigger beating. Thanks for the comments, keep them coming
my personal opinion about this guide .. to me, its ok .. but i think you should get quill spray with viscous to maximize the damage dealt on the enmey hero ..
as for the bristleback .. try to get it to level 1 in the early game ... it can help you in escaping some solid enemy
why are u in love with that nasal goo...
i dont know why not maxing quill spray first?
Maxxed stacked Rank 4 Nasal Goos on an opponent is a -8 armour reduction, a fully stacked warpath on yourself and makes the enemy hero unable to escape. Its basically a free kill. Even if you get stunned mid chase, unless the stun lasts 4-5 seconds you can simply reapply a goo and continue destroying them. You can literally destroy some heros in a few seconds of attacking and running them down, and with extra stats the chance of them overpowering you is near non-exsistant in most cases.

Sorry, comment double posted for some reason. Could an admin delete this post and the previous one please?
i found it helpful to get quil spray level 1 early on, just to activate your warpath in a flash.
Eye-Pleasing guide but this needs work. Quill spray is a must early game. Two bracers at the start are a good idea. Skip the vanguard. After bracers and treads (or BOT if you want to move faster for chasing) either shoot for an MKB if you need dmg or a heart if you need more hp or want to be a tank. Desolator is not a bad idea but satnic does the trick nicely. Basher(s) is also a good idea for chasing...decent guide aside from the lack of quill spray
i dun understand quill spray, exactly how much dmg does it do? one quill does 90 dmg den each quill dat hits de target does 30 dmg?
i used the stat distributiong in this way!
vicous nasal goo
squill spray
vicous nasal goo
squill spray
vicous nasal goo
warpath
vicous nasal goo
squill spray
squill spray
brittleback
warpath
brittleback
brittleback
brittleback
stats
warpath
then all stats!
sange and yasha, power threads and vanguard it can do damage!! to kill another hero you must have a sange!! after lvl 9 or 10!!!
the spray is kinda useless in early-game, i think. the bonus of 30 dmg only is active when you have the bristleback, so this build is a good try. you become a chaser with this build, and discards the "spray for nothing" strategy. but a MKB would be better for him than the Desolator, earlier ... in this strategy the vanguard comes at hand cause you'll need some protection when hunting xD
In regards to MKB - It works great aswell, they're both fairly similar. The reason I end up choosing a Deoslater is because vs low/medium armour heros (Most strength and caster heros), you'll put them well into negative armour which provides a massive damage boost to you, and any potential teammates. Its all about preference though, both items work great.
In regards to Sange/Yashe, or just Sange. I'd disagree that its essential - Which maxed out goos/warpath/threads the enemy hero shouldn't even be escaping with BoTs. Just Goo, Goo, Chase, Goo, Hit, Hit, Hit, Goo - Rinse and repeat. All the goos+Desolator will shred them apart insanely fast.
Im still highly against spray spam - It's just not potent enough for my liking. A crazy snare, Warpath bonuses and great armour reduction just equals a dead hero. With the Vanguard and stats you can even run some heros around a tower while meleeing and spamming goo.
If you've never tried the Goo and stat approach, I suggest trying it atleast once. It may look deceiving, but its so killer in practice.
Good strat. But instead of Treads, I'd get BoT, and Stygian is a good idea to greatly lower foes' armor. Why not simply get Mkb after Stygian => very hign dmg !!! Or if you need tanking, then get HoT. Again, good strat ;)
I prefer a BKB on rigwarl bcoz a lot of skills negates his warpath such as poison, stun, purge etc. We all know that without the effect of warpath rigwarl is nothing. Why not add bashers on rigwarl? This heroes' movespeed and aspd is insane with level 3 warpath. I aslo like satanic on this hero bcoz of the stat boost on rigwarl and for survibability.
Shouldn't there be a HoT? He is a strength hero, after all. And I don't quite like the skill build... What's the point of having a chaser, when during early games, chasing a hero without a proper nuke like Quill Spray is a one way ticket to getting pawned?
on this hero i got a ring of basilus, vanguard, treads, SNY, satanic and a basher, and instead of nasal goo i got bristelback and quill spray, quill spray is quite mana efficient and good for getting rid of most pushes, since you can cast it quite a few times b4 running out of mana (and this is quite hard to do on late game). Bristelback becomes a harraser nightstalker-type once u stack warpath 2-3 times, i got nassal goo as last skill since i focues on getting cash b4 hero hunting, with quillspray u will keep most hero's away when taking a push.
I reckon you need to add more to this. Only five items - two of which were a) the same and b) quickly replaced generally. Mid, Late, and Conclusion should have much more detail as well. Aaaaandd... starter items could be different. I mean, if you are bulking stats, why d'you need bracers, get some regen items or something...
DAMN I REALLY TRIED IT!!! AND LIKE IT IS LIKE MAGIC..no..BETTER THAN MAGIC!!!
I REALLY FOUND THIS GUIDE VERY HELPFUL!! AT FIRST I THOUGHT THAT THIS HERO IS VERY HARD TO CONTROL..BUT YOU PROVIDED A GUIDE THAT MADE IT A LOT EASIER... MY HAT IS OFF TO YOU MAN!
uhm..i was just wondering...will a vladmirs offering be a good addition to the items? or a heart of tarrasque?
any suggestions for perma-stun bristleback with his high attack speed, esp with hyperstone
nice strat.... :D
i like the bracers in the beginning of the game, gives me lots o hit points
I first feel so strange that u don up the quillspray. I thought it was the main skill of this hero.
wat about the sange and yasha its good with him to
in my opinion the worst thing u can go with rigwal i got for the max out quil and warpath with stats in between (gett goo at around 14-17) and max out hearts and either s and y or satanic it owrks well with 4k health and either slow or lifesteal (just my opinon)
hehe... i remember a 4v4 game i had... believe it or not i outsmarted lich for two kills, although it was the tower which killed him twice in the early game. i maxed out bristleback then face backwards then 'h' to hold position. he would get me down to a red life then start chasing me past the tower, then he dies chasing me. i sure had a great time trash talking lich.
but overall, this guy is weak, he's the one pray i wouldn't get in -ar. he can be useful only if you are helping someone chase an ememy with goo but don't expect enemies running away from you 1 vs 1.
by the time you have probably completed desolator, your enemy would have three solid items, but it sure would boost up your confidence if you can win with rigwarl
but remember that it will still depend on how the player uses rigwarl...
will it be a good strategy to keep the quill spray to level 1 until mid-late game?
and..waht will you prefer?
a buriza or a basher?
please post your comments on the two items..thanks dudes!!
i would prefer nasal goo, quil spray ....etc
plus the items are a bit week for late game you must build up your items but nice one on the desolator
suggestions: SNY, MKB...
i wud recommend bariza or which gives you critical. during late game, with correct useage of spells warpath gives you an unbelievably high rate of attack. this gives you chance to critical like a mofo.
good guide bro. but quill spray is good to get at very first level. i often get first blood 1 v 1 against weak hero. but only top if you are scourge or bot if your sentinal. other than that sweet as
Ok, i have used Quilboar b4, i find Quilspray quite helpful for harrassing, may i suggest either a average to high regen item or a LS item, as yes ok u will b doin dmg and harrassing, but in the instance of gankage, LS or high regen would b good, esp for mana too...spam time
so my opinion Power Treads, Stygian Desolator, Vanguard, Cranium Basher, Satanic or Vladamir's offering and possibly SnY or B-dK...but they just my opinion..good strat other then that though
A great strategy.
I just played him and i got SnY and it worked fine, maim + 4 goo's and the hero can barely move.
I belive that SnY isnt necessary, with stygian the enemy wouldnt have survived for 10s.
very nice. 1 of the best strategies 4 bristle back
i was playing a AR game and go this hero and i just completely followed this guess and i owned everything it was amazing. would never have thought of this skill build but it was really good.
good strat... after desolator..
an eye of skadi cannot help to slow the enemy with Viscous Nasal Goo??
i've just thought that it would help...
your skill build is so messed you'll have the most pathetic early game in the world.
shit shit shit....i really dun believe 1 skill enough to kill people...the goos n warpath...enuf enuff enuff...i thaught using the spray will be better...but stats is more crazy..good strategy...9/10 ..u deserve it..
@ultradd
melee heroes can only have 1 orb effect...if u havent realised...
anyway ur skill build is perfect!! 10/10
great guide!
I agree that you should max nasal goo first but you should get bristle back and quill spray earlier
9/10
...and after the desolator u should get a buriza!
I like the skill build... Togoinks... ^_~
all you noobs.. this build SUCKS CRAP
If you ever play a Cal-O game with him you will realise having a 210 damage nuke for 30mana is FAR better than "stats"...
I have already voted 1/10 and I intend make a better guide.
Better Stat Build:
1.Goo
2.Spray
3.Spray
4.Bristleback
5.Spray
6.Warpath
7.Spray
8.Goo
9.Bback
10.Bback
11.Warpath
12.Goo
13.Bback
14.Goo
15.Stat
16.Warpath
17-25.Stat
Bracers are not needed its better to get 2 scout shields and up grade as quick as possible to a vanguard. The rest of the strat i agree with.
you're wrong....... the best would be defiance, sange yasha, vanguard ,cuirass , boots of speed and mask of madness
@WeaveMyWayIntoYourBase
i totally agree with you but you should not use harsh words.
bristleback is an excellent skill if your opposing team has rikimaru on it, he'll be going for the back-stab damage everytime, 60% reduction ftw. It also makes Rigwarl one of the hardest heroes to kil on a chase, since bristle back reduces spell damage as well.
this is the same build i use, i love bristle back
nice guide, i'll try it soon. this is a very ganking focussed though. without even 1 point in quil spray pushing towers and creeps becomes much harder since goo on creeps is kind of silly and totally impossible on towers. obviously no spamming means no warpath means not very useful BristleBack... i think your item suggestion is great though. i love BB. when you have a speed advantage like that you can pick and chose your encounters. (esp if you have a BKB)
Dont agree with spell choice early game. Nasal goo max it at the end, you cant get lots of kills early game with bristle back anyway, if played with strong oponents so no point of chasing...
this strat sux
ohh my....this guide is indescribable...
skill build:
your guide is actually good since it utilized the power of goo and goo is one of the best ganking skills. however, no quillspray = NOOB build
here's why:
quillspray's damage may seem weak, but in reality, it deals obscene amounts of damage due to stacking. did you know that quillspray actually got nerfed (it now has a cap of 210) due to infinite stacking using bristleback skill. the main strat from rigwarl was to attract enemies. when enemies start hiting rigwarl, just turn around and spam quills. due to damage received from back, quills are automatically released. together with the activatable quill, the stacking will result to a huge aoe damage.
item build:
actually, even with the noobish skill build, your item build is decent. however, it doesnt contain the most essential item from bristleback: HoT. bristle has a crappy str groth so even with bristleback, you'll die in seconds.
also, its only natural that you dont have perse in your item build sine you didnt get quills. however, for the rigwarl with quills, a perse is a must have.
@weavemywayintoyourbase
i'll be waiting for your guide
what a waste...
..
.
...
..
y don't max d spray first..
w/ just basillus u wont hv any problem w/ ur mana..
(and it adds def)
..
and, this skill is also good 4 last hitting and at the same time.. harassing ur opponent..
..
...
.
this skill rily hurts u kn0w!!!
w/ spray...
u can hav ur radiance very early..
..
...
.
...
..
how much dmg would u think ur opponent get w/ that.?
.
.
.
.
goo + spray + radiance + warpath + physical dmg..
every thing's dead meat..
You should at least get one quill spray because when u are running away, quill spray is the better choice compared to nasal goo to activate Warpath. Maybe at level 5 one quill spray would suffice. The Stygian Deso is very unique and quite admirable but a cranium basher or a sange can do more harm, especially when chasing. But still ur build is very admirable, although it may lack a few points and items.
better level quill spray first..it is also good way of harrassing early game..try this build, madness, 2x basher, threads and heart..7/10 overall
nice strategy
keep them coming
This is the best strat I have read. Even in games when my team gets absolutely rock, I'll pull off a good ratio. This is pro, sir, and I congratulate you.
hm................
tried it out....its OWNING...rly awesome...stats bring nice hp already in early/mid game and Goo plus Ulti is death 4 almost every other hero
2 bracers, vanguard, S & Y, BOT's, Cuirass, Game over. And then get a heart or a buriza if you start makin some bank~~. trust me, he becomes unstoppable.
great guide
gave it 9/10 only cuz i dont believe anything can be perfect lol
ill try make a guide on this hero since there is only one becuz i disagree with a few points but first ill have to play him some more
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
I liked the guide!
Goo is very good for hero chasing, and it's "sinergy" with desolator owns any hero...
Spray is ok, but it's not that useful late game.
this guide is god like thank you very much
....ill tell u how awesome quill spray is. i was chased by gondar, nessaj, and sa. i kept pressing quill spray while running, and at the end the damage stacked up so much they didnt notice it either and they all died. u cant catch up to heroes using nasal goo if u cant get near them... thats what else quill spray is for.
Great guide i can understand the desol and stats and all but its really vulnerable to ganks 0.0 tnks anyway my 1st time using bb i folowed this guide and got 8 kils on bnet^^5/5
I usually go for satanic but I guess desolator is cool too. I'll try it out.
I can't "kill" Dragon Knight w/ him, even already w/ BKB, Desolator, and vanguard + Bracer and already at lvl 22. Your skill build seems only for fighting int heroes, btw the dragon item is 3 bracer and Radiance. Like hitting a steel, even naix can beat him easily
This is one of the best builds I have ever used with Rigwarl. I don't get Vanguards however because they kind of take up money and are not useful later on so I just get a Linkens instead. This build gave me a 10-1 Rigwarl as an end result.
SnY is a really good item for this guy in mt opinion but since they're both orb affects you'd have to put desolator in front for the minus armor.
Whenever I get SnY with him I'm immediatly uncatchable, which is why I love it so much with him.
I also would just get anything that has health regen; heart, hood, and so on. cause I could always escape and never have to go heal. of course that's mid/late game.
I have an alternate build to this:
get quill spray before stats, and get 1
point in bristleback before doing stats.
Also, instead of the vanguard, I recommend getting a heart. The damage really helps towards the end of the game, not to mention the hitpoints.
What you do is figure out whether you need to get reaver first, or the booster. (reaver in itself is enough to rape heros lategame)
I don't agree with your item build.
Take Battle Fury at the beginning because Bristle needs mana reg. so he can easily spam his Nasal Goo and Quill Spray. Also you should have added Radiance.
Don't take Desolator! If you want - to armor, you better take Armor Curiass.
And i prefer Bloodstone to Vanguard because for the extra mana.

i've useed this heroe with out any strategies and i used this build.
- Mask of Madness
- Power treads
- sange & Yasha
- Heart of Tarrasque
- monkey king bar
- scroll of town portal (in emergencies)
And i max out goo and quill spray, then while i max out warpath i get stats at the same time. then i max out bristle back and then the rest of stats. if theirs anything i should improve please post me a comment.

Try this,
1. Bristleback
2. Viscous Nasal Goo
3. Bristleback
4. Viscous Nasal Goo
5. Quill Spray
6. Warpath
7. Bristleback
8. Viscous Nasal Goo
9. Bristleback

I use item,
1. Ring Of Regen
2. Tango
3. Boots
4. Bracer 2x
5. Helm Of Iron Will
6. Mask Of Death
7. Power Threads
8. Then I save gold for Satanic
9. Desolator or Cranium bash 2x
Why?? Because,
Bristleback in the early game used to make you stay longer agains range hero. Just simply hold & look rear or back, it will reduce the damage. hehe..
Quill spray are use to made Warpath active over and over.
good used it and i was 6 and 3 a little short but i liked it
Heh, this one really works, I was fighting bloodseeker and managed to kill him twice within 5 minutes. He clearly underestimated nasal goo's stopping power.
I had serious issues with Knight davion though, the stun lasts long, so I never got to kill him. He always had to go back to base though, which is worth it I guess.
Zeus wasn't a real issue either, apart from the fact that his nukes hurt me for around half my hp, but he had to run back, which only worked 'cause davion was there and stunned me again.. :P
tsk tsk..good but it is interesting like my bristlebacks putting 2 tarrasque and a sange yasha build. Thats very cool...It ca be a God Like
I versed the slithereen guard, he just stunned me and the weapons counted for zero.. slithereen stat said hes a bad enemy to vs so i picked BAH... include a fucking basher in this strat so people dont have what i just went through
why use s&y/desolator on him...
this guy can own with santanic, basher, battlefury and PT.
Amazaing strat, I just made a few changes to my own and OWNED! 30-1 kills. 1 kill because I killed someone in the foutain :D I do not go for bracers, van first pt second, before stygian I go for battle fury, because my farming was dominated by ranged heroes. My skill build is get warpath as soon as possible, max spray and goo first then bristleback. After everything, I get a vlad for lifesteal and the game got too long so I got a blink dagger, helps out a lot. THNX
good item build
A very bad build. Very very bad. You wanna know why? Quill spray should be maxed out first, combo it with his ulti and you will have a non-stop barrage of pins coupled with his ulti. The build for Rig is linken and taras.
not bad of a build, but i recommend one lvl of bristleback cause it automatically gives u the ability to spray quills wen taking 300 damage just for safety
This build works great. I usually roll with only 1 bracer or even none if I'm lane'd against another melee. Vanguard ASAP, then after the rest of the essentials I go with Linkens and then HoT. You can kill Roshan at around level 20 so might as well.
10/10
I PLAYD RIGWARL AND I FIND THIS GUIDE VERY LACKING

thanks for the strat ill check this out tommorrow and see if it works if it doesnt ill try and make various builds and skill builds then post them thanks
I personally think that you "not putting anything" into quill spray... isnt such a good idea... 1st thing... you have no harass/nuke during early game.. I doubt you can find farming easy... so maybe a few points in early game might help... since its 80 damage first... then if you have enough mana to spam..since it's 800 AOE.. 3 sec cooldown.... 110 damage every hit after this first...also triggers your warpath...since your Nasal goo triggers your warpath everytime you use it... and only has a 1 sec cooldown...but when farming...and if you wanna trigger warpath... you bother using it on creeps...not worth it... might aswell use quilspray... deals damage...low cooldown..low mana...just spam it around creeps when they're lives go down...
Vanguard
In late game...loses effectiveness..so might aswell sell it ? Get something like heart...or even radiance...which is great with quilspray...
Btw, getting 2 hearts... you may think I'm off target here..but getting 2 hearts will greatly boost your HP...you're not really a hero killing hero...reducing enemies armour helping your mates kill is mostly your purpose... 2 hearts will provide roughly 1900 HP + and 22 HP regen..
But good guide anyways..for a hero that newbies think sux ^^
Btw btw btw... almost forgot...if enemy has rikimaru...bristleback rox ^^ haha...his backstab is backstabbing him back
Go for tanking instead! I use to max out Bristleback/Quill spray/nasal goo before going for stats... Then get a Hood, a vanguard, a heart, vladimirs and buriza, Voilaaaaaa u cant be killed :< and u still deal alotta dmg^_^
vanguard, rad, 2 hearts, ac, mkb are good for pig.
LOL LOL LOL LOL Coment # 34.... first things first, the lich that you were facing is a stubid NUB!!! die chsin u...LOL!!!! why would he even chase u into the tower any way? and u said bris back is weak.....another LOL!!! bris back is sooo unstopable if u farm good on him and he owns early game...
bristleback skill+ blade mail ^^?
when you are running , the enemy get dmg and you not.
nice guide if u add a basher also they r all dead lol..
Nice guide!
But I've been using quill spray in early games to mid game just for frags...
Great one i tried it out!
Just wondering whatever happened to WeaveMyWayIntoYourBase's ASSUMED GUIDE??? Was it all talk??? Come on boy, If you're gonna keep screwin' people's build then make one. At least make a credible argument by making your own. You're a waste of space honestly boy!
nice guide!!!
but u don't use quill spray
on a early game.
u use it for last hit on
creeps that is far from u.
u can also use it to harass ur enemy.
great strategy
the early build
why nt try this
1 boots of speed
2 iron wood
top lane if scourge
btm lane if sentinal
lvl 1 -goo
lvl 2 -bristle
try first blood with lvl 2
since most people dont get boots at lvl 1 using bristle to bully with his high attack and hp to harrase
since most int lvl dmg dont reli damage much + magic reduction
lvl 2 use goo the go front hit hit
then goo then hit
sure first blood + bristleback reduce damage
2 iron wood can bring ur hp to bout 590- 600++
after 1st blood +200
farm get ring
then hug tower and and if hp higher harasse the opponent by goo and hit
by lvl 6 it should be
3 goo 2 bristle
1 warpath
lvl 7 get spray
8 spray
9 spray
10 bristle
11 warpath
12 bristle
13 spray
14 goo
15 stat
16 goo
17 - 25 stats
you should be able to harasse oponent till bout lvl 7-8
sure another lane hero will come or change lane
if change lane you should harrase the new hero
control their farming using spray
item should be
boots (BOT!!)
2 iron wood (sold at later game)
ring of health (vanguard)
desolater (AFTER VANGUARD IMPORTANT)
HOT
i dont think deso for him...id go for buriza for extra damge with basher..
Bot deso vg 2 bash buriza then replace vg to HOT or vlad. Yes it owns!!
wow interesting build i will try it
Great strat helped me pwn with rigwarl. I've tried using the quills and they suck hard
how about adding the assault cuirass plus the stygian desolator to have more armor reduction and pumping up the armor of rigwarl
how about adding the assault cuirass plus the stygian desolator to have more armor reduction and pumping up the armor of rigwarl
Nys amplifying armor
Such a pig,but good power
I dont Like the skill build with the goo and stats i would rather take quill spray and goo other then that good strategy
Should I get assult after Desolater? If so, will the reduced armor stack with Desolater as well as nasal goo?
in this strat u say "power threads" instead of "power TREADS" this wasn't just a one off because u said it 3 times. But I also noticed people using threads on the forums. Is there something I'm missing here? (Nice strat by the way)
Why no quil spray? This spell at the beginning of game is great
1. Even though small dmg it does do an ok job of harassing
2. An enemy uses a potion gets hit it stops working. This could mean 300 extra damage and you opt out not to take it.
lol skill build not good man
He actualy farms ok, the game i just played i had mkb, desolator, treads, and vanguard. 300dmg looking at a tank isn't to bad.
Bad item build, could be more and better items and the skillbuild isn't great eather because Bristleback and Quil Spray are fine skills ,atleast much better than stats.
lol you know when i tried this build some people on gg called me noob coz i don't have spray
dude.
but i think u need ring of basillus.
and u can upgrade to vladimirs offering.
just considering.
anyway good strat.
me likey
I tried this very nice. But i put one skill into quill early cause the upgrade lvls aren't much of a difference.
Well after all this time i have decided to make a comment about this strat....lol
I do like you strat but i myself prefer to go spray + brislteback for more harassing/tanking.. but w/e if this build works for you they GOO D JOB (hehe lame joke)
Wow, never thought of using nasal goo + deso before. Definitely unique strategy.
I love u cuz it works
really good build...U really need to try it, I would only change things in the skill build by getting 1 lvl of spray at lvl 5 to keep spaming warpath when hitting towers and I would take bristleback at lvl 10 cause thats when the fights and ganking start.
Good one...10/10
pff why dont u use his 3 skill
ow! u nid quill spray to better activate warpath so u could chase enemies faster w/out gooing all the time . but if like wat ur doing then well keep it up i guess
klgfad
BKET LIMANG ITEM LANG HA!!!BAT ANG UABANG NG GUIDE MO HA!!! ANO GANG GUSTO MO MAGING FEEDER AKO HA!!!BAT ANG YABANG MO TALAGA!!!NILOLOKO MO GA AKO!!!
eywallah cnm
gotunuy sikersin bu itemlerle
this guid pretty much sucks... U only put 5 items until the end, and u describe bad, add radiance and heart..
i tryed out the build and it was pretty cool. i just had to do some changes on the equipment you told. one of my enemies had blade mail and i was loosing much hp, it was ok at 1vs1 but not on 1vs2, and one of them was a caster so i chose this gear: Stygian Desolator, Vanguard, Vladimir's Offering, Hood of Defiance and Power Treads. With this my propblems qere solved =P
hmM...
BoT seem to be more useful then treads tbh
i am very surprised that you didn't add SnY , assault cuirass , heart of tarrasque and radiance ... you will be much much faster if you had SnY and cuirass on your inventory. adding radiance for extra boost of damage and dodge so you can't be easily beaten. trust me on this dude, i only tried this once and this item build made me a killer in the mid-late game
wouldnt BOT be better better lane control and with nasal goo and BOT, no hero can escape your clutches and yea quillspray is awesome just spam and harass early game
I tell you about this guide, when you have enemies like nukers, maxed out bristleback but if you are against some meelee heroes, maxed out quill spray, thats it and you forgot heart of tarrasque, and desolator is an exception for me, try butterfly and heart. In early game you should have 2 stout sheilds or if they have 3 enemy heroes, go for 3.
sometimes, i prefer necronomicon for bristleback. depending on enemy of course! radiance and assault too...
sometimes, i prefer necronomicon for bristleback. depending on enemy of course! radiance and assault too...
i like bristleback with:
MKB
power tread (str)
Burizado
skadi
HoT
Linkins
well thats my usual build
Dude i think i would seriously max out quillspray first..it helps u farm early game.u should take tht into consideration
go for basher
I am really sorry for saying this but I think it is time to update your strat. There have been millions of updates done to dota since december 2006 (Alchemist/Puck, for example can simply stun you so that they can escape) and with these updates, your strat just might fail. So I recommend that you update this because I saw a lot of potential in this guide when I read it. So please update it, for the good of all.
im not really as negative about this start as some other commenters, i think this may be the best choice for in my opinion, a cruddy heroe, ill try it out today, 9/10
You should get at least 2 level of quil spray if u found out that u can't farm that well with 1 or 2 range heroes at your lane harrasing u, in this way you can spam creep without hitting them and risk your own life
hmm..
nasal goo always??
i dont like this for "its not that strong"
-2 armor only..
i want-100000000 armor.. so 1 hit..
nice strategy dude.. keep it up.. but my moonfang can destroy this hero..
I'm gonna try this out. I must admit, first time i read it, I was a little sceptical, but you had done some decent explaining with your choice of skill-/itembuilds, and you have rly convinced me. Great job!
why not convert your 2 bracers into 2 heart of tarrasques in mid-end game!!
I love this hero, btw do anyone have a good item build for him?
This guide is really nice, I tried it and I got a wicked sick streak! In the late-game I had Vanguard, Treads, Sange and Yasha then Basher and Hyperstone! It was like omg!
quill spray + radiance = $$$
you make rigwarl an int type
radiance would be nice = GG^^
travel,vanguard,HoT,[sny,basher pick from these 2]radiance = GG^^
he a chaser.so buy a void stone.SPAM is good ^^
@slowtech: you dont need that much of int items.you need HoT,deso,BoT,perse/void stone.Get only the neccessary items..= GG^^
your a chaser.so get BoT,vlads,deso,[SnY,basher,radiance your pick]HoT,vanguard = GG^^
But even if you only have deso, vlads,BoT,vanguard.Your a killer already ^^
no lifesteal is pretty bad. Alsom skipping skills for stats isnt worth. a stout shield should be equiped as it helps a lot hwen chasing pass tower.
wow.. the first hero i have ever used only one hotkey for, "V". and yes, i find stats is better to raise than spray. deso works very well with goo too
This guy sux
i think quill spray is good, its good when your running, cuz it has like no cast time and it triggers the +ms on ur utl. and early its good for if u miss a last hit, or if they have lots of range in ur lanes. i find it a lot more useful than nasal goo. and wat bout ofter u complete ur item build? it doesnt have a lot in it. can this guy permabash?
good guide though, just not really my style.
Well I tried this in a TDA and Geomancer just kept raping the shit out of me and my allies. How am I to farm easy with Nasal Goo and Stats? It doesn't frickin help!
BETTER ASSULT CUIRASS!!!!
well i guess we all have different skill and item builds for bristleback. Let's just use our own build and don't mind the build of the other. KANYA-KAANYANG BUILD LANG YAN...WALANG PAKIALAMAN!
seeems like this hero need lot of money..
Excellent build, always wanted to play bristleback but dissapointed couse i realy sucked with him, tried this 1 and i cant even try finding a good next item for the hero b4 the game is over. Always trying to get curiass, any1 who can confirm its a good way to go? think the extra -5 armor would do nicley
Great itembuild, and yes, it's good to get a Cuirras if you have money left and if you still have money left i would get a Radiance.
should be using nasal goo and quill spray in tandem in a lane, with constant armor reduction of a hero and quill spraying an area where they can't reach u, they lose their health very rapidly. Coupled with a couple of of clarity potions, the spamming very effective for a first lane down.
no pictures kinda bad...
