I cant really say i agree with the item build, because it think its build only for early and early mid game, but necronomicon HAS true sight gem, that is a priceless info. thanks.

Ahahahaa, your third guide is for one of the most incredibly nasty guys!! I'm not great with the minions lol, I generally get Necro 3 without turning it on! Hmm, this is exactly what my friend does, he'll probably comment on this if hes paying attention. You might wanna add more to the item build, like Radiance or something. I mean, final build of BoT, RoB, Necro 3, and optional Dagon? Surely Guinsoo after those, definitely Radiance if you have enough. Oh, and Linkens Sphere. I know this is rare though, my friend usually finishes long before getting most of that, and you must do that as well. MEH. The only thing I truely find wrong with this is the enemies area - so many stunners left out, as well as a critical silence or two. While you covered conventional stuns fine, MINISTUNS? Lightning Bolt you mention, and I didn't know about Chain Frost, but Night Stalker's Void and Riki's Smoke Screen have ministuns also, and theres others I've missed. Smoke Screen also silences, and so does Night Stalker's Crippling Fear (although this is rarely utilised its bad news). Anyone with a passive bash BESIDES Greater Bash is also bad news, particularly Lycanthrope's wolves. I think you mentioned Doom, but thats another Silence. Man that took ages to type... Umm it looks good to me, but consider what I said, I have a lot to say for Bane hehehe. AHH its YOU, 10/10

Personally, i get Arcane Ring because it gives you more mana and a refresher ( mana refresher that is ).

I wont really recomend getting yourself a Mekanism. Bane's skills eats up lots of mana, so i really dont recommend it, the Linken Sphere, Radiance etc. are your ITEMS of CHOICE. I've only placed the items needed to make Fiend's Grip more powerful. The footgears are your choice also. But i prefer giving him Boots Of Travel since Bane doesnt depend on his attack speed but on his skills.

I've played this guy a bit, but I didn't think of this itembuild. Otherwise he's alot of fun, he can hurt alot on his own early game. And lategame, combined with a sheep-stick you can be one of the best supporters late game. If you have a good team that is.

Great work on the item build, and I really like that you only list the most important items for your build. A longer list with a total cost of 30k+ is never correct, because you will always need to think for yourself in the exact game your in.

Wouldn't something like blink dagger, refresher orb, aegis or guinsoo do? Those items are expensive, I know, but dagon really sucks. 300(after spell damage reduction) damage on rank 1, upgrading by 75 (after spell damage reduction) every level and sucky stats... it costs too much for what it does, especially in the late game... While guinsoo gives you 3 secs of disable and 100% magic damage taken by the target, refresher orb would give a 14 sec of damaging disable and blink dagger would let you to position yourself a lot better. Aegis just saves money and increases the damage you can take...

Haven't gone with necro build, as my micro's terrible. Hope people learn something from this. (I thought you were going all-out with Manta Style though...) Also, scrap Dagon, not going to help that much this late.

I recommended Dagon because late game, heroes might have earned money and bulk up items to raise their hp. Dagon can be a good item if used correctly.

Nightmare will be canceled if you cast a spell on that hero with Nightmare status. And the 7 seconds Fiend;s Grip wont happen, its a constant 5 seconds ultimate.

I would add soul booster to your build, because at level 25 you only have proximately 1822 hit points, because from here on out, you will only be a support hero for your team. And i'd change nulls talisman if i were you, to guinsoo, since you did say you just wanted too add mana. Then guinsoo has additional 25 intelligence that should cover it.

If a noob is reading this, and you saying just pick an item of your choice later in late game. They might pick a useless item later on. Sorry dude, but you need to specify what items to get in late games, not just key items.

Great Guide, but Bane doesn't have the mana capacity before lv7 to cast nightmare without running out of mana. Maybe add 2 or 3 stat points before lv7 so you can brain sap more often.

Just 1 Mistake i saw, You were lvl 7 in your game, And you had Feinds Grip, Not according to your skill build, But thats a minor Issuse and im sure you will fix it . Also I jsut Love reading your strats, They are always entertaining :P!

You Might want to add the Kraken Shell On Tide Hunter makes him An Annoying hero to kill with bane, The AoE Spell is nothing compared to Kracken Shell!

@The Lawyer™: My Experience on Atropos was that there is no grip damage while a hero is in nightmare. Can anyone test this to make sure? I always wake up the pray with a Brain sap before gripping to prevent that.

yeah, there is no damage in grip for atropos, while nightmare is still active. Really dont why, because both spell, and physical attack, either takes the initial damage or nightmare backfires and bite you in the butt.

Man, I really love your strats every strat you made , gave me the love to play that hero...yeah by the way can't thank you enough for the voljin strat..also ummm isn't the staff of wizardry just 1000? it says 2900 on the item build, probably just mistaken it for mystic staff... 100/10 dude

Nicely done. A couple of questions: Do the necro summons and/or creeps not fall asleep after attacking during your opponent's nightmare? And doesn't that turn off the nightmare on your opponent (thus negating the 6 seconds of damage)?

Unless I'm totally missing something here.... Hm, maybe you mean use the summons during Fiend's grip rather than the nightmare. I tend to like using the brain sap immediately after the grip (you mentioned the recharge but nothing else), since it replinshes your hp somewhat, does a goodly bit of damage if they're not already near death, and leaves you in a better position.

Oh, another thing: similar to your vol'jin strat, you rely on some complex combos that require a good setup. While a very cool combination and, if executed, certainly brings bragging rights, they seem a bit...iffy at times.

as always a 10/10 Steve-O i can read through the crossed out name in ur last shot u might want to touch up on tht well any way ive been using Bane elemental lately and got my 1st ever god like streak with him and i find ur build is similar to mine only i go Basilus, Arcane ring, Necronimicon, Euls, radiance if u want it helps me damge them while they are nightmared or in my grip.

I get stats earlier. because having only two points of nightmare is enough to last you until mid game. stats are much more important as for setting you up as less fragile, and more mana capactiy too.

Good strat...yeah, that's the usual pro players buy and do, however I don't agree on taking Nightmare more than one at first, I prefer taking stats since you need mana and HP, IMO, it's no use to level Nightmare on early game.

one question: if you use nightmare on an enemy, then you cast your necronomicon right away, dont the summoned units start attacking the the hero?which then stops nightmare and make themselves go asleep?

good strat but bane doesnt work like this as there is no way u can pull off nightmare, sap, full grip and a sap with just necro...its impossible u need more mana and eventually go for a skadi? Not even close to a decent strat with one of the best nukers unknown in the game.

Maybe you should put all the items in the item slot, that would be helpful for all the items.

yoYOyo.......... I am pretty new at Atropos, but im not that bad. Um, i am so upset that i cannot seen screenshots b/c im at school, but,w/e, um I really like the length. Not too happy w/ item build, though. Here is what I would say 1) PT 2) arcane ring 3) hood of defiance 4) guinsoos 5) cranium 6) butterfly. Also, @ who ever said that u can't nightmare then fiends grip, yea, i JUST did it, and it works VERY WELL!!! Um, so far, I am really liking B.E.,,, I think he has great capabilities. have fun pwning w/ him guys :D

dude spectre is a "stunner" when she takes damame and it disperses there is a slight stun effect. Just telling ya to add her to the list!

u must never issue any commands while gripping. Including 's' (stop), move, attack. Bane's channelling the spell.

I just found out two things last night, one uber and one reeally gay. OK, gay first - Radiance on Bane: Radiance Immolation damage will revoke Nightmare. Very very bad, users will have to keep clear until its combo time - OR ditch Rad completely, which sucks a bit. Now the uber bit: Fiends Grip appears to work through Black King Bar. That shouldn't happen. Imagine my surprise. At any rate, if you're faced with a BkB or Naix, Grip em as first disable instead of Nightmare, THEN it wears off, THEN wallop them with the rest. Oh, and in case anyone doubts the mighty minions, I, in the same game as I found the other two things, got a doublekill after I was dead, solely with Necronomicon summons. So: its clearly the best thing for Bane... At any rate, Fiends Grip through BkB works and Radiance kills Nightmare. Done, I go. Oh, Steve-O gets 10/10. Again. Cause I want to.

Exactly what i wanted to comment. RADIANCE'S A 6-LETTER ITEM ON BANE: S-T-U-P-I-D. Tell yr allies to get lost if they have a radiance. Disrupted my combos sooooooo many times.

with 0.73 mana regen i mean cmon
Steve-o is playing a 3v3 you would be lucky to have brought the staff so i mean in a normal 5v5 this combo aint really reliable

i dont think arcane ring is THAT neccesary. beacause you get necro and stats for the bulk of mid game so...

In going in the same approach than you did with necronomicon, I would say that manta style would be worth getting (Grip w Manta & Necronomicon Summons? Ouch.) Since it would forces you to get diffusal blade meanwhile, you'd have one more disable/slow which is unvaluable in team fights, and also a direct counter to warlock's summons or mirror images/ HoD monsters until you upgrade.
Also someone mentionned the possibility to use radiance with that hero. From my experience with Bane, radiance is a really really bad item. It kills off your main disable as you cast it. Imagine. You nightmare the dude and prepare to set up. Immolation damage, one second later he's awake. Not quite the effect we wanted there.

I think your first magic ( Enfeeble ) is so great , because you can give your front hero hard time when he is in your lane . your 1 magic CD is 15 sec but time that it can ... him/her is 20 sec . with this he/she could not kill creeps or recover ( because he will lose HPR )

it is only in the images you presented but the skill build is not to good enough. it is helpful to use E.S. and in late game use EoS and/or linkins. overall nice strat "(-)3"

Why euls/guinsoo?
well, if you're on 5vs5, try doing this:
cyclone/hex 1 people, enfeeble 1 people,
nightmare 1 people , brain sap 1 people, then the last :fiends grip the last people, and THERE, you have crippled ALL OF THEM
it will consumes lots of your mana, but hey, that's what arcane and euls/guinsoo (and necro) for in the 1st place . Well, for the necro thingy, i hardly build it for him actually, i usually made two euls for this guy, or if i have more gold to spend, then 1 guinsoo + 1 euls. But still, necro also not a bad choice of build seeing it from your guide, but i rarely upgrade it until lvl 3 though since the euls thingy, But well.., its just me anyway.

And for the mekans, well just for the "support" type thingy really, since, he is, anyhow, IS an INT hero . But this is also
optional anyway

and for the stunners/disablers, i usually build BKB (this is the only thing comes in my mind when facing stunners/disablers , and it also gives boost on your HP, which is good IMO )

for the nukes, well you can nuke them back if its an early game if you're using clarity, you don't need hp pot since you already had brain sap. And in mid-late game, nukes can be handled by your teammates.

so i agree with you, silencer is THE WORST enemy since bane can't do ANYTHING when being silent, and it's REALLY annoying So it's usually who's the first? my nightmare or his silent?

For the skill build, as i said before, i will max out enfeeble also, purely for the "crippling" part, since for me, this guy is an awesome disabler (and crippler too ) since ALL of his skills is about disabling

Linken/skadi also will be good, but its not THAT good, so i hardly build it for him, but it can be an good optional item you know. And with that build, i reckon you'll have a measly hp to be easily 1 strike dead , so i guess you'll also need HP booster (such as bracers, the cheap one, until HoT (the expensive one).
And like the others had said, no footwear? Bane is not God of Speed you know Just because he has no legs doesn't mean he can't use boots
So i reckon still needs work on the item build though, its just way too.. simple (it's not that bad, but it's not that simple IMO, what can a bane do againts "full eq" rikimaru with that build? he'll smoke you and chop you till death )


For those who said dagon is needed, "theoritically" good,
but his mana is just too low to be combined with dagon,not mentioning that his skills cost A LOTS of mana, so I don't think it's effective.
And its true, PT isn't needed since he's not a DPS hero,
and for the radiance? uhm.. you want to hit hard? with WHAT?

I suggest using radiance because radiance affects heroes while in nightmare...
7secs x 20dmg=140dmg plus
7secs x 35dmg of radiance= 245dmg
140 dmg + 245 dmg = 385 dmg!

after nightmare brain sap and just reserve the fiend's grip for other heroes...

i agree that enfeeble isnt so useful since most peoples damage comes from items BUT there is 1 exception.
tiny has MASSIVE base damage so it gets reduces by heaps.

@ post 205 = Radiance cancels Nightmare prematurely, doesn't work. Don't get it ever. If your allies have it, they need to operate away from you.

Another very good Guide...But im not sure if i agree with getting fiend grip at lvl 9...I can be very helpful around lvl 6 and despite ur mana being very low at lvl 6 (perhaps too low to combo grip and sap) It gives ur teammates a great advantage interms of the disable.

how the hell do you counter rhasta with bane elemental i gor owned on a 3v1 match i used bane against rhasta leshrac and rexxar i got gang banged again and again my worst enemy is the stupid backstabbing rhasta how do you counter him??

when you look at replay you can remove fog of war you stupid head....

another hero with "silence" is balanar...

umm... would be HoD be good? since it decreaes the amount of damage you receive from grip. And if you're attacked while casting grip, HoD also gives you a fast hp regen rate.

oh yea, I forgot, 10/10 for your guide. All your guides are great as a matter of fact. Don't forget to add doombringer to your worst enemies list. Actually, I think he's just nearly every hero's worst nightmare. All he needs to do is cast doom and... gg!

oh yea, how come you've fiend's grip at lvl 8 though your skill build states that you add it while at lvl 9?

just wanna ask..can i grip a hero when it is still in nightmare effect? and why is it that when you cast a stun or a spell on a sleeping hero it has low damage?

I would just like to point out that these screenshots are from SINGLE PLAYER MODE. It's ok to use single player to demonstrate your strategy, but it's pretty lame to pretend that you blocked out your "opponent's" name because of "privacy". The greyed-out allies button is kind of telling. Heh. Solid strategy, though.

gor normal you don't need boots early, because you have a 7 sec sleep and a 300 insta heal, if there are two enemys chasing you. at 16 there are too many gangs with more then 2 enemys and your 300 heal looses power, so you need boots to survive

this is a great guide just one thing in ur second screen shot it shows u using ur ulti at lvl 8 when on ur skil build it says to get ur ulti at lvl 9???

Wow this is amazing your Purple punk is good to be good. I have new thing in that punk THE DAGON5 because the necronimicon units have endurance aura and mana burn so the mana burn user hits the enemy and you hit the enemy by the dagon and total 1200 dmg and the other skill and thats an BIG damage whuaaaahhhhhhhh

didnt know u had to use fiend's grip so much i normally use for finishing blow will try soon~ 9/10
