Nice overall strategy, looks like my team's. The only exception is that we don't get agnahm, we try to make him tougher by having aegis vaguard or aegis heart. And also getting Guinsoo scythe of vyse. The 450 hp from agnahm is not a lot. I give you an 8.
Similar to how I play tormented soul. Though things considering, a Guinsoo can be more valued than an aghanims for ths hero, ti take advantage of Hex's 3 seconds of full magic damage and slows too. Adds another disable for your team, as well as good mana regen. Good guide. Anyway. Keep it up. [off topic]Pretty fast guide-making. hehe. curious, what were you fighting in a 1on4 that you won?[end]
yeah.. i also like using this hero especially his skill pulse nova it rules. and i think his stun is not hard to use.. anyway nice guide i think..
yea ... i think HEX is better than AGHANIM
you really should get aegis then vanguard/heart. Plus, you might want to replace the RoB with a LINKEN SPHERE
I have 2 more Guides ready to go.
Hex may very well be better in 1 verse 1s than agh, but you ALREADY have the soul booster, and the additional damage over time is insane. Money in my opinion is just best spend increasing your AoE damage or your HP, Guinsoos is expensive, and doesn't really help that much in this department. I guess this build either relies on your allies being somewhat useful, or on the fact that you have so much HP that the enemy can't stop you from pushing or kill you before they die.
I wouldn't be entirely against it if you team is absolutely lacking disable, I've just never really had it to be an issue.
Aegis before Heart? I guess my problem with that is if I get Heart first, then get Aegis I'm less likely to lose charges of reincarnation. Also, the health regeneration is important when in transition from ganking to farming and then being able to gank again. As always I guess it's personal preference, but I try to look at total item value. If your team pushes around the time you can get an Aegis, and you have Boots of Travel so that if you die you can TP back in, by all means yes, it has more value.
I believe you can also get Lightning Storm after you've maxed out Diabolic Edict and Split Earth, just so you can have an additional nuke in between the first 2 spells' cooldowns. But that of course requires adequate mana and mana regen. Good guide overall.
I'd like to add something to the killing strategy... Diabolic edict does maximum damage if your enemy is the only person in the area, so first turn on pulse nova, stun them and wait for all the creeps around the hero to die from pulse nova. When the enemy hero is the only one left THEN turn on diabolic edict for great damage. Also its a good idea to lure the enemy hero(s) to a deserted area like the rivers and then start the combo so that there are no non-allied units to absorb the diabolic eddict damage.
I wouldn't go for HoT. Seems too overkill for someone like tormented soul. I'd settle for something like Vanguard. With the extra money i'd get a guinsoo's. Don't know what these guys are on about... You have to get Aghanims or else pulse nova doesn't have that edge. It adds good stats too. Overall decent strat! Keep up the good work!
Have you tried putting radiance on him? Well very nice guide though I should say.. very deadly in -ar. hehehe same build for me as well.. I get guinsoo first and if money will allow i get aghanms..boosting his HP and mana must be your top priority. and having hoT and scpeter are possible solutions..
this strategy rocks!!! have one comment about the item build though. i usually go for two bracers early on, then rush guinsoo scythe for the mana regen (spam, spam, spam), next is aghanim and if the game isn't finished by the time i finish aghanim, i go for HoT. but overall, great strat!!! had triple kill with this strat!!!
I understand why people would think Guinsoo, but honestly I would value a Radiance over it if no one else on your team has one(After HoT, etc).
Let me elaborate:
Unless you are going around, ganking by yourself, your gold is best spent being able to do damage. You might say, "Well if I disable them for 3 seconds they wont disable me and run, yada yada."
What I suggest is to try this build, tell your allies to push, and just watch, if the enemies focus to bring you down first, you NEED the HP and the damage to survive. If they don't focus you, all of their HP bars will be going down fast and they will die.
It all comes down to just activating Pulse Nova and Diabolic Eddict before they start spamming you with disables.
Let me give you guys an excellent example:
A few weeks ago I was playing a game where the only threat on the enemy team was a Faceless Void. All of the remaining players on both sides were merely support at this point. Most would think, he bashlocks, you die, he wins... right? WRONG! I got a HoT after Sceptre bringing me up to around 3k (I believe I had a Vanguard as well) and he stunlocked me, beat on me, beat on me some more, then had to Time Walk away or die.
A common misconception in this game is you have to kill the enemy heroes to win/push, which is false, you can just flat out overpower them into a retreat while you destroy their buildings.
This guide is fcuking incredible mannnnnn
Ei, another thing. try putting mjollnir. just thought of it but not tested yet. radiance + pulse nova + mjollnir = ?. Also having Guinsoo(or aghanim's), HoT and linken sphere in your slots are enough for survival and pure ownage. That is if you can farm well early to mid game..
I think some people fail to realize the focus on survivability, and not control/damage.
With Diabolic Eddict and Pulse Nova (with scepter) you do enough damage.
Some people suggest Guinsoo, Radiance, etc. While these items might very well have a good purpose, they are not necessary on this hero.
For you to do damage you need to merely survive and have mana, which a sceptre should provide enough mana. The issue is now just staying alive and being able to take a beating. If you can't be killed then you can push freely. Basically what I mean by saying this and trying to emphasis is what is important, the Sceptre has its purpose. Heart, Aegis, all are vital items. Guinsoo, Radiance, are just minor items. Getting another Heart is much more valuable at this point. I think that's what perhaps people miss. 450 HP from agh sceptre is not "a lot" but it is decent, and along with the mana it provides, AND with boosting your ult, it is the most cost effective item. It basically is half a heart, a good amount of mana, and a Radiance all in one item.
Well done. Leshrac is one of the only heroes i use in scourge... ^^
nice build dude
this is good except the fact that most people who use this are not pros and cant farm well so being item reliant is got the best bot over all it owns
Veryy nice i must say :D:D a very good hero :D probly the best i think :P
You can buy just about anything with tormented soul. Especially in late game when people push to your rax, you have an almost infinite capacity to farm since Pulse Nova's greatest asset is the fact that it has no cooldown. I use lightning storm because it's hard to solo out heroes early game. I have a replay of me killing troll because he tried permabashing me and got killed by my pulse nova.
Add in arcane ring and empty bottle- they are lifesavers when chasing or running away, as they replenish your mana quickly. When you are being chased, keep edict and pulse nova on while running, restore mana, turn around and stun/lightning and snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.
Blink Dagger: A great item. For MAX effectiveness, Cast diabolical edict (1 second cast time) and blink in immediately so you lose no damage or time casting while they are stunned.
wouldn't it be niceto activate lothars edge after diabolic edict and pulse nova?....
For me i usually get EoS after guinsoo for disabling and slowing my enemies then i go for high HP, mana items like HoT or aganims. My rating for ur strat? a good 6/10,
why wont you get lightning storm at early game? its good for farming
i had no clue who this hero was until i randomed him in a game. i went to the lightning first and i got "first blood" in about 5 min. the other skills are good but you should go for lightning first (at least one lvl) so you can harass enimies (it has a relativly fast cooldown). spam it and go for a kill. after that push the tower with the 2nd skill.
Nice guide!! godlike lvl 10 zomg!
Pretty decent strat, but one question. Should I go blink dag first or should I go point booster instead. I personally would like to go blink dag n a few null talismans would help him wid his mana pool n increased intelligence means increased mana regen and increased damage!
What do u say?
nice one.i think this really work...thanks...
=.=.=.=.=.=
nice one
what is the other alternative i will use since Aegis was gone. could i used 2 HOT?
LOVE the build and guide in general. Lesh has always been a puzzle I haven't fully solved until your guide. After following it to a T a few games, I must admit that I like Boots of Travel after ag's, maybe even b4. Blink Dagger has been enough for me to get away from ganks, even though I'm weak. It's so much easier to run with fleeing heros than try to stun them, which let's face it is HARD with the casting time. Even after lots of practice, one missplaced split earth and they got away. Why even risk it? Just get BoT's and they're gone.
who can be leshrac's worst enemy?
Quite a good guide. I get my items pretty much like you do.I agree with your strategy on mid and late game.
However, you seem to underestimate lightning storm. At early levels, a spammable 265 nuke is really powerful.
Think of it, at early games heroes rarely have more than 1000hp max, and if you give them 265 per five seconds,in just three lightnings they will be down to 200-400hp, and a good timed split should kill or force them to retreat. Since chain lightning jumps, you can hit them
without even having to engage or let them get close. If they happen to come, let it rip with Dia then
And it helps in last hitting too.
Other than that, good guide.
I don't see the usefulness of blink dagger, its not that hard to setup Leshrac's combo on a hero, all you have to do is cast edict, turn on pulse nova, then chase and/or run around in circles. Even if you have faceless void on your team, theres no reason to blink into a cronosphere even because the AOE of edict/nova generally is good enough to hit MOST of the ppl inside while you're attacking from the edge of the sphere... I recommend ginsuu over HOT though. Gives ya an extra disable w/ your AOE stun, useful for allies to deal dmg (since most ppl don't stand still in nova, your allies will be chasing enemies fleeing from you).
kool, i always get thunderstorm first but i know! its the bomb
terrible skill build.
Fair Enough
what's Terrible there Gren2?
erm... nice strategy.. but i wil go 4 loathar n bot.. instead of dagger.. after i on my ulti jus on loathar=GG!! haha.. jus my tatics
erm... nice strategy.. but i wil go 4 loathar n bot.. instead of dagger.. after i on my ulti jus on loathar=GG!! haha.. jus my tatics
Lighting storm + stats build is soo much better than Split earth + Edict. Lighting storm has been buffed so it's really good now, trust me.
very nice strategy.. i learned alot frm it..
keep up the gud work...
Nice guide but lightning storm is buffed now you should really consider it in your skill build.
Nice Item build but i think mines better.
-Aghanim`s Scepter
-Eye Of Skadi
-Mjollnir
-Mekenism
-Radiance
-Boots Of Travel
Other Items
-Dagon
-Arcane Ring
-Assault Cuirass
read comments, but I think radiance fits perfectly. evasion=survivability, additional aoe damage=whole point of leshrac. am i wrong?
Hi guys, 1st comment here on DS and would first like to thank DS for the site, the strat submitters and even all the commentators
. Would also add that I'm a relatively new dota player so my inexperience may show.
The last time I've played this hero I mainly focused on regen, specifically mana regen so I could spam my ulti left and right. I got myself as early as possible bloodstone and went for a vanguard afterwards (when I realized a headress wouldn't cut it no more). I would also hang back most of the time so I wouldn't be ganked and usually teamed up in a lane with another hero or was extremely careful with missing heroes. When in doubt, farm out of sight in the jungle. The result was an awesome team player where whenever a team fight ensued I would stun an oppenent(s) and then activate my ulti and run towards the most logical direction they would retreat for ownage. In fact, I ended up not even buying the scepter in the end. I rarely used storm except for instant kills and relied heavily on my ulti. I believe I also had an arcane ring for those annoying moments when a kill was one more hit away but no mana left.
Just my contribution to the site. Maybe one day I would submit my own guide. Not really to advise others, but to receive critique and share strats. PEACE.
also a faceless void would be a great teammate beace his chromosphere + plse nova = bye bye centaur or who ever
Congratz for the guide,very nice!
if there is leshrac and another unit will it get 1600dmg total from the DE?
reply as soon as possuble plz...
your startegy is great but
i think Lightning Storm is better than Diabolic Edict
in the game, the 2ndskill's dmg are not being shown.. THanKS 4 d inf0........ i always lose if he's MY opponEnT!!!
I suggest you max lightning and split earth first.
Attack them , Split and Light ,
first blood always or double kill in mid lane.
try to solo the mid lane if possible .
this way , TS will get enough kills
I still don't get lightning storm until the last levels, and I do very well with this guy. While lightning storm could be pretty useful, it doesn't have the damage output of a pulse+edict when a melee hero thinks he can take you on. That and it's useless once heroes get to enough HP (also useless for creep kills, because you just activate ulti and kill the creeps in 5 seconds).
now i finally noe how to use tomented soul.lol.cuz keep losing... thx
what about arcane ring dagon gunsu sythe and a mek
nice strategy. 9/10
Lovely strat, good job dude but I think EoS is better than tarrasque
he works great with raijin
cuz of raijins ulti can draw u to him in almost an instant, and somepeople get confused by the thing but no worry his pulse and edict is aoe so even if your confused u still hurt the enymy hero like crazy=]
hmm, ok ok not bad. I guess survivalbility is impt for leshrac. So a HoT is cool.
noob build i go with half strength and half mana usally at the end of the game i have desolater.treads.ags.dagon.blink.and bkb message me if u intrested or aim me at dongcold
Heart.
'Nuff said.
boost ur lighting sorm, and only lvl1 for split earth. use arcane to rock out ur lighting stom, buy ES to enable use enemy and also for boosting ur mana the AS.!!!!! i dont like ur strat!!!! its best to follow my start
at late game you shold have BoT, AS, ES, EoS, HoT, and Arcane!!!!!!!!!!!
y not lightning srorm????????
wiil diabolic edict damage urself???
and how much will it damage u???
and how much is the damage dealt to the enemy
usually i max all skills/stats and leave lightning last, however i often see chances of kills IF i got lightning earlier. SO really, i guess its just everyone's own take on the build. don't need to spam and ask him this, and that. decide for yourselves x)
Nice strat . . . Try giving him Radiance and Dagon . . . It will definitely become a twist . . .
to CaNn1b4L post number 26, about nulls. if u say acouple of nulls... tahts about 1000 gold, in which case you might as well get a booster.
id say you go for nulls if u want to play it more safe, and last longer on the lane. but if you want to amplify nukage and play more offensively, then booster helps more with the manapool.
my opinion
Instead of a Ring of Regeneration, why not a Ring of Health? Then later, build it up to a Linken's Sphere perhaps?
hmmm... if u play against any hero that has at least one stun, ur dead. u hav no health items, cept ring of regen. its not until later that u suggest heart.
I mean, he put up a Ring of Regen as one of his start items. Why not at mid game replace that Ring of Regen with a Ring of Health then late game upgrade it to a Linken's Sphere? By that time you would have a HoT and all the other items you would need.
i believe that you should get vanguard first as it helps chase people past towers and helps you survive since leshrac = low hp
would lothars work with this guy? I think it would just ult, lothars to be safe and then stun right b4 it breaks so that u get 2 more secs to hurt them with pulse, and if u have it finish with lightning storm. Or u can sneak right next to them and stun then do the whole pulse thing.
i think ur dead right about leshrac needing an aghanim's, it's the most important item with leshrac. but after that i directly go for an eye of skadi, cuz that gives quite a lot of hp(200+25 str), quite a lot of mana, increased attack speed, SLOW effect(invaluable with leshrac, ur enemies just cant escape).and yeah, late game the only people who really damage leshrac are the nukes, so make a HoD against them. but yeah, ur guides amazing, but a few screenies would have been godd.(9.5/10, it's less cuz u dint make an EoS)
cccccooooooooooooooollllllllllllll1!!!!!
good strategy
how much damage does diabolic edict do?
Shiva is also good on him.
awesome guide
gj man
does diabolict and pulse nova stack?(when activated together),,if they stacked, holy shit damage dealt,,
It stacks. And yes, its damage is holy shit.
Split Earth is similar with Lina's stun.
If the opposing hero runs, activate the stun infront of the running hero and wahla! stunned, use diabolic edict.. if you are good in delaying, try delaying the running hero, activate pulse nova and you get to kill the hero. Oh, and you don't have enough mana left, so run for your dearest life. hehe
i would suggest getting guinsoo first as the core item (guinsoo + split earth = you get to use diabolict edict and you don't have to use pulse nova) if you are dying, make sure they are near you. diabolict edict is still activated even when leshrac is dead. next item should either be shiva's guard or mekansm, depending on the enemy heroes. darn, i can't make a strat for leshrac because we have the same stat/ skill build. it's just the items that differ.
Lightning storm is a good ability for farming. When you get to a creep wave, let your creeps fight, wait a few secs and the storm for 4-5 kills plus damaging any heroes behind them. You can get your items faster.
it's a good guid but not the best i coment more when i've tried it
Also, storm is good because early game you can do AoE damage while staying back, which is important because he doesn't have much health.
i have tried it now against my friend ad he got totally owned
8/10
Nice hero and nice Strategy
can any1 tell what aoe means im new
aoe means area of effect. Btw nice strat
how About a Lothars Edge? i think that would help in your Killing Strat...
get shiva and radiance and this hero could be a real killer when they mass push.
no radiance?
alright so with this guide and my own playstyle the best items are..
b0t
scepter
guisnos
shivas
radience..
skadi/heart
woops 4got about dagger
I suppose with putting lighning storm in the last stages that enables you to fully get pulse but then i have a few questions.
with BoT until late game how will you have enough speed to able to chase while you try to get Pulse Nova its fullest effect?
also this requires you to get into the middle of the battle to actually do a kill which means you need lots of hp or atleast a decent one
for me though i'd get pulse nova later since 66 dps for like 6-7 seconds in a short AOE isnt worth it but thats my opinion.
split earth is really easy to do btw. the key is getting BoT which enables you to run ahead of the opponent and use your Pulse + edict combo.
also the movement speed gives you the upper hand because you move faster thats one then you can cast split ahead of time.
although kelens isnt good for me i see it has its advantages for going into/out of battle.
but BoT would be a better choice (imo) since it will enable you to run faster avoiding AOE spells or outrunning enemies or even avoiding ES's fissure.
well it seems your focus is to harass early game but why with split earth? it has the shortest casting range while leshrac has one of the longest animation also heroes will be smart enough to run out if you are approaching.
also DE also needs like a 300-500 aoe to be in full effect (i think).
see if you use lightning storm in the early game to harass your hitting like 8 or less enemies untill it bounces to the heroes. also take into mind that it hits anyone within the 700 aoe from where its primary target hits so lets say troll with 40-50 hp runs to tower. you can easily hit the closest creep (considering there arent 9 creeps O_o) and it will bounce to troll with full dmg thus killing him.
ive done 19-3 with lesh without even using pulse once (mainly cuz someone bought me a dagon 5 idk why O_O)
2 questions 1 how much does diabolical edict do ahit when ur with 1 target only and do pulse novea and edict stack? casue i used both but it didnt seem to do stack.
cool but y mot manta style too 4 decoys n confusion
nice skill build but in the item build section i tried bloodstone before scepter and it worked nicely in mana regeneration area and as Leshrac is a powerful killer he can reproduce loads of gold so buying scepter is not that delayed!!!!
dont need dagger it got nerf sticked
who's his weakness
This guide is good...
It just can't kill Pudge, a most stupid fat tank he is.
An excellent guide indeed...
10/10
YOU ROCK KROMMIC!
I'LL GIVE YOU A 1/10 FOR THAT
hehe
jokes
10/10
travel,shivas,radiance = GG^^
i think it needs items for mana regen
lightning tends to be a better early skill especially when laned with a targetted stunner. stun then split earth then lighning is quite painful. edict is for later. not much use in lane with so many creeps
Yes, I have a question...
umm... even with aghanims, I see that Leshrac is extremely dependent on killing others with his spells. Assume that the enemy has hood of defiance or even two hoods, what can you do or usually do in such scenarios as that?? your answer is much appreciated
I think the Strategy is a pain in the ass.
wheres is the farming -lighting Storm- diabolic earth ist just on level 1 cheaper from manacosts than lighting Storm an the cooldown is a lot higher not usefull
Leshrak is well played with early nuking enemys he can also have solo lane but like with maiden, warchief or furion ist best
wow, very good guide, but considering that split earth is minimal damage when you cast it right off you are wasting the cruical stun which you need when you are chasing, and thats IF you are chasing :P
nice guide though ^^ well impressed
really dint get his item build i get a guinsoo , scepter , bloodstone ,HoT , BoT u can also get a HoD instead of HoT if facin int herosother options are kelens dagger of escape n vgaurd
apart from that the guide rulz
my all time favorite hero. The first time i played dota I randomed him and have loved him ever since. I get lightning storm and edict early, as teh split earth only allows (with its small aoe) the enemy to move farther away. The new eul's works great because of inc. move speed. My items are usually: SnY, BoT, Orchid and if i can afford it, Euls. Your MS will be around 460, plenty fast, with all these items and SnY provides a nice HP boost. The regen from orchid and Eul's suffices as well.
i need to post again becase i ran out of room to type. A great killing method: Eul a hero, turn on edict and use split earth before they drop, as there is a cast and delay to it, chase hero and activate ult, finish with lightning. I go positive score every game with this hero, he is truly one of the best.
Just thought of something: Since lesh is undoubtably one of the best farmers in the game, Radiance may be a viable last item, as the immolation would only enhance your already crazy dps.
@102: Pudge is easy late game, just need to watch early before you get sange.
@109: For one, hoods do not stack with other hoods. They will stack with heros like magina and pudge if they build hood before getting their magic resistance skills. Every game presents new situations. Even hooded heros will fear the insane amount of damage you and a friend can pull off if timed right. My personal favorite laning partner is enchantress, but balanar and any other slowers/damaging heros work well.
bloodstone = crazy mana regen?
I don't really get this strategy. Maybe because it is so old. But I don't get why Lightning Storm is not leveled up. It is the best farming and harassing skill. You should take instead of diabolic edict. Diabolic edict is only useful against towers and buildings.
And why blink? I would prefer Guinsoo. Cause blink is really useless for Leshrac.
thanks for sharing with us the strategy ;D thanks man!
alright Krommic 10/10 now I know how to play TOrmented Soul. Godlike like so many times!
