large guide
its good :)
i think i saw this kind of guide at forums.dota-allstars.com
dagon is good providing you have the mana to spam it and rearm but you dont so get a linkens
as for BoT vs Void, its better to get BoT first because if you need mana you can just tele to the fountain, rearm then tele to a lane. cd on march is greater than the spawn rate of creeps so to push effectively you need to rearm between each wave.
Nice strat, I'll try it someday
i saw the exact same building at a replay being posted at dote-allstars.com.It is is really effective!!!This guy (having bought rediance+these items) turned upside down a lost game with 3 imba opponents(mogul han, traxex, zeus with perfect item build) and only one good teamate(sniper).8/10 in case you copied...
Great guide, a lot like my team's boush. Except I think that Arcane ring is an amazingly imba item when given to boush. Also a level 3 rearm takes too much mana for its worth. I prefer to delay it.
wow this is an amazing guide. i used a lot of the tips you gave from here. although i differ in opinion in some of the things you advice, but that just based on preference. i like to start off with a hero assasin build. usually laser, mana effecient and short cooldown allowing you to do more damage in a short and quite efficient way, then rockets, great finishing move. i use rockets kinda like snipes ult cause it just got that range (longer!!!) and you don't even have to point target it so one click, PWNAGE!!! since i follow this build i usually delay rearm until level 9 cause i wanna max out the other two skills since laser my primary skill and it has a fast cooldown. again not a big deal just on preference. reason i prefer hero assasin type build is because i believe in hero kills will benefit your team a lot more than just early pushing. reason for that is cause pushing essentially is that you take on the creeps to make them die more quickly. thus making your creeps move to your opponents tower more quickly and/or you getting more creep kills. in the beggining it kinda annoying to move toward your opponents tower due to tower advantage for your opponent. yes you are slowly destroying it, but you are more prone to getting killed than they are. so i like being couped at my tower. puts more use to it. also about you getting more creep kills. this i'm not totally sure about (being that i'm still an amateur that really likes tinker), but the each creep has a set amount of money given to the one that killed it. if you killed it you get the reward. if your creeps killed it then they get the reward. which in turn is split evenly throughout your team. thereofre if what i say is true, you don't earn anymore gold by just killing enemy creeps or making it easy for your creeps to kill them. your team still gets the same amount, just distributed to you more than others. hero kills on the other hand, you gain a new way of income and cause them to lose money. which is a bigg difference. that why i say hero kills more important than pushing in the beggining. in the end i believe in pushing like crazy cause now you are strong enough to take down these towers and it easy to fullfill your goal of razing your opponents base. also one last thing that we differ is dragon. i think it a great item for tinker. out of all the characters, he can bring out its full potential. i understand why you say it a waste and too costly but why i say it still good to have is cause the other two nuke spells, in late game don't mean a lot when people have over 2000 hp. especially stength heroes, they are the nastiest. therefore if you just keep nuking them like crazy (and drag has more damage to it), you'll be a real force to contend with. sorry if this seems that i'm ripping on your guide, i really not. i think what you have is a great guide and it has really helped me out with a lot of things (such as your idea of saving rearm skill points at lvl 15-16 and how to use march of the machines). so don't take it as a complaint or insult. just giving you my opinion to see things from a different persepective. 2 brains are always better than 1
sorry for it being long winded, just wanted to give you my complete analysis.
hey, nice work here...
you've mentioned bad enemies for Boush, what about good allies?...
i like the idea of rearm towards late game to save mana makes sense nice work
hey guys.. I just read the forums.dota-allstars.com guide, and saw the video.. and wow, can Virot2 play.
I made this guide because I love BoT and one time I randomed Boush and realized I could rearm them go to the fountain all the time. But I was mostly thinking in terms of all the mana efficiency and what items would be really helpful to be able to rearm. I am pretty good at thinking up strategy but my micro is not amazing. I urge you to look up and watch Virot2's replay, he is definitely a better player than I am.(see bottom of post for link)
In case you haven't read his guide, he recommends missiles first for harassing enemies back to base, and gets Eul's before boots. I have not had good luck going missiles first, I just don't feel it makes enough difference, but he seems to make a killing at it. I also would not have ever recommended getings Eul's first AND missiles first (maybe one or other, depending on situation), because it hurts your abiliy to make money AND delays buying your key item, but again, he makes it work brilliantly. I need to rethink my guide after reading his and watching his replay.
To AznSeraph14,
if you go laser and hold off on rearm, then you can go for Eul first (since you won't be rearming boots), but I feel that the teleport/rearm combo is the central combo for the tinker. Delaying it by much is just shooting yourself in the foot. Also, if the creeps kill the enemy creeps, the gold is NOT split among teammates, it just disappears. Also, I "push" early as a method of farming, not getting into their base. It does expose you (and I have been experimenting with neutral creeping to mitigate it), but if you switch lanes often, no one lane will get out of hand.
However, you are right. Hero kills get you gold, make them lose gold, and emotionally frustrate them. I see potential for tinker here, but you don't have stealth or good chasing abilities, so I don't think he makes a great assassin, but he can be very powerful in team battles.
And I don't feel that a Dagon-Laser-Missile-Rearm combo is enough more mana or time efficient than a Laser-Missile-Rearm combo to warrant the excessive cost of a Dagon.
Anyway, all of you, for another viewpoint on using rearm highly effectively (he focuses on Manta Style to devistating effects in his analysis) check out http://forums.dota-allstars.com/index.php?showtopic=41655 and watch the replays at the bottom of the guide!!!
jeez... guess this comments thing ignores whitespace
Shud spam laser early!!!And like the other guy said where's the allies!!
well in that case about the creeps, then your build is the best build. my build is far less superior. that limits my build for only one situation where it alright to use it, that be if your allie is a good pusher (ex. alchemist). you get more money that way and for your team (if you thought that all the money your earn is for the team). also about dragon, i've begun having a different opinion about it since i have played a bit more tinker since the last time i commented. drag is pretty useless as you say. the only time i get it now is when it like late late late game for games that last over an hour. cause drag is still a good nuke spell and i'd rather do drag instead of laser. since laser and drag you need to point to your target and fire, you still waste time targetting and if the guy moves away you waste time walking. so drag i find the better spell since it does more damage. also when you max out drag it acutally more mana efficient than laser. however i will say this again, it really only for late late late game probably the last item you should ever get if you have the money. well good feedback thanks!!!
oh to clarify now that i read it over, my third sentence is in reference to your strat not mine XP. also another thing i left out is that i like to use hex a lot. generally my combo is hex rocket rearm since that all the time i have before hex expires. this allows tinker to have a perma hex on an enemy hero while still doing some damge. obviously that combo is focused more on the effect than damage. therefore that combo i only use when i'm with my teamates attacking a base so they can do more beat down while i just totally screw around with the other players. it so much fun XP.
ok, I have started using missile+laser... and it is good. I will remake guide when I have the time (unfortuately not soon)
I don't get the use of rearm after all Tinker's skills are not that strong, but good guide
well mance if you do rockets like 3 consecutive times, that already 975 damager per hero. granted it takes time so overall like 6 seconds one sec per spell. or if you wanna be nasty (but not suggested unless you have no where else to spend money) get dragon and do that 3 consecutive times. thats like 2400 damage when maxed out in just six second! rearm is a great skill. it just takes practice getting used to it since you'll just be spamming more than you would with any other character
this guide derserves a 5on5, convers the rearm/item abuse for tinker. mention the go infront of creeps/march(get kills), BoT to base, heal/mana, rearm and BoT back combo. Also arcane ring is GODLIKE for 300 mana pool, and 200 mana to you, 250 to allies every time to lane up. Mention BoT rush FAST as this will help you! NJ
i sometimes get agahims more extra mana to rearm and spam....anyways 7/10
Awesome guide!!
Tinker was the first hero i played i love him
thz for some more tips on how 2 play him :D
good job nanometer...boush is one of my fav heroes...probably because i like building stuff and his quite an engineer....so nice job your build is different them mine but MUCH more effective...tank you a lot for making a trully good guide for this hero...best of..
Great guide. Really opened my eyes to Tinker. Usually I only play Tinker if I feel like being lazy (a lot of Pers and Voids). Granted thats not getting the full potention with Tinker, but hey it is really fun with never ending nukes.
Again, Great guide... Hope to see more.
10/10
yeah, tinker is a great hero, good at hero killing and harassing* (check spelling )
but i get laser first thing, great at harassing* at low mana cost, just get sobi mask and you can cheese opponents from low level. then set up for your 2 hit combo. my items would be BoT, linken sphere, mechanism, guinsoo, dagger of escape, and manta style (all active spells) to maximize rearm. in gang bang situations, i use rearm immediately after i have used linken and mechanism. this character is really nice if you're playing for fun like on battle net because enemy heroes aren't the combo types like all stunner line up and the such
Can we use Refresher Orb? Does it stack?
I think Tinker can go for hood as because he loose his life quickly. Hood is very good while you are running.
You forgot the most important bit, with black king bar he turns into a tank literally
bottle,BoT,guinsoo r core item for tinker
i usually replace linken with dagon and get 2 sceptars(For Spamming) If you get dagon 5 and rearm 800+rearm+800+rearm+800+rearm+800+rearm=2400
XDXDXDXDXDXD
nice build.. i'm really amazed on your build...
i sometimes use arcane ring 4 boush because,rearm+arcane+any skills+rearm+arcane=wtf mode 4 bous.right?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Rearm cannot be used on arcane ring.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
i think you can do several things with tinker..... play several different games........ but the doubt is only early game. mid-game onwards it's harassing and pushing according to me. i try to buy as many intelligence items as possible, cuz it increases my mana-pool AND my damage, good for pushing AND killing. mana-regen items aren't really that useful if ur travel-rearming(as u should). an amazing item-build would be boots, arcane ring, bloodstone(for higher HP/MANA and redemption mainly), guinsoo, eul's,dagon5(if u want). i normally make dagon5 before guinsoo but eul's as early as possible.the percentage increase to the mana-pool is really important so u can spam things like dagon-missiles(for killing) and MoM(for pushing).also, in team-games ALWAYS make a mekansm, you can heal ur opponents quite well with many mekansm-heals.makes you an amazing support. hence, Boush can play all roles necessary except tanking..... i dont claim to be good with this guy, i just started playing with him, but mainly i think u guyz should think about increasing his mana-pool greatly, makes you able to really spam some moves like Dagon(i dont find it THAT high mana-cost for 800 damage). Also, sorry if i haven't read ALL the previous comments, just dint have da time to go beyond the first 20 or so..............
cool i have tried northom aginst boush i bouch killd me easy
i disagree with ur guide!
i suggest that you buy eul first
then buy lots of bloodstones and perseverance.
Increase lasers and missiles
ignore the marching goblins
try my suggestion
buy two euls to escape from enemies
at late game, u r unbeatable as you can always use ur skills with ur fast mana regen. Eul always comes in handy to escape and to kill heroes (use it when you want to rearm)
not bad. 8.5/10
Not bad you covered the basics of tinker Late game march usage but, you seriously underrate laser. You don't need march early game, it makes you push and it doesn't help you get early kills. Laser is what gives tinker powerful lane control so I suggest you shouldn't skip it.
Laser does extact dmg...
It rlly does do 320 to a hero...
belive me that u will get better results using march in the most anti parallel way, trust me or not, just like this:
creeps march
*
noob
..better than the other strategy .. nice 8 out of 10..
cool
The skill built is really bad..
March of Machines????? D'ya think how many mana d'ya have?????Please, take Laser,Rocket,Laser,Rocket,Laser,Rearm,Laser,Rocket,Rocket then March of Machines...
Um, the item good, but i think arcane is much better since it gives additional mana for your skills. I don't score you for this, but if i want to, 9/10 good job!
qwertyuiop
why no dagon?
This is a very good guide. same build i use to. Same skill build also. 10/10
GOOD THINKER, TINKER
REARM YOUR FACE DUDE!!!!
QUAGMIRE IS A NOOB!!!!!!!!!
just like having assasinate
cool!
is this a plagiar strat of virot2 version?the strategy available is somewhat a little difference, but the item builds, the march sage section all the same.
does tinker turn into a tank (an actual tank with wheels) when you use BKB?
http://youtube.com/watch?v=5gS4KLa3Id4
Ive got every one to notice me in this hero
can midas be refresh??
a very nice one
a very nice one
You need to add Dagon, since that can be rearmed too, so all you need is a bit of mana then... Laser, Rocket, Dagon, Rearm, and repeat.
very nice
reset cooldown,gt reset dagon ??
after noticing tinker's abilities i start to think he is like a hunter in wow his abilities is hunter-based is that true?????
@ CFX
if this is plagiarised then it should be removed don't know it exactly
Why should it be plagiarized?
The BoT + Rearm Combo and abusing Rearm the most leads to such a build.
And Dagon should really be skipped. Actually I don't realize who does need it, when there's Refresher and Guinsoo.
But if someone wants to try an "Assassin", I suggest taking 1 level March of Machines right away and then max Laser and Missile.
One level MoM is great for farming AND for harrassing your enemy into Comborange.
Otherwise you'll have problems getting money against skilled opponents
Well, I played a -sdem game and my options were Alchemist/Tinker/(someone else). Went Tinker, and should have had 3 kills with missiles but only had 1
Was vs Lich/Pudge/Axe/Ezalor/Sand King.
Late game was just bad, Axe had 2 Vanguards, Ezalor had HoT. And Pudge/Lich just screwed up entire team.
Hard hero to use imo - I kept running dry on mana through 2 volleys of missiles/laser/MotM and Rearm.
i'll say guinsoo and orchid for this hero
u'll not have a mana problem
as orchid gives 225% mana regen
crap review good items, i would suggest you cancel Manta Style And go for Mov Speed Or Damage
thanks nice strat
koteeeeeeee fucking
wow big mana usage hero
IM SURE ULL BE NEEDING A LOT OF MANA
IM SURE ULL BE NEEDING A LOT OF MANA
learn rearm at lv 11
