Nice, use of Battle fury really works for Slardar. One of my fav Hero. I usually get Battle Fury first for Farming. Just be careful on using skills. Slardar has a very low mana pool.

an overall good guide, but getting boots earlier part of the game does fit with this kind of build but please don't disregard the fact that you take 20% more damage while sprinting, even though you have boots early regeneration items should never be left out, but overall good. 8/10

why dont you get Assault Cuirass ?
it adds attack speed and -armor.

Good. it's good in the ways of hero killing, general farming, a good way of escape.

It seems to lack some information on weather to chose which item build though. You can still win using some of them, but tell us when we should take which item build.

Good guide, personally I would level up Crush before maxing bash cos the longer stun time helps in group situations but that's just me. Spamming Amplify Damage (to make people careless) is a great idea but are you sure just a battle-fury is going to enable that? It seems you're using a fair bit of mana.. maybe there's room for a linken's somewhere in there? Just a suggestion.

hmmm... nice guide.. but i think i will only get lvl 1 sprint at first,, just max out bash and SlithereenCrush... you have already bought boots at first so i think you dont need to max out sprint at early game....
hmmm... i also dont agree in some of your items.. why not get thebutterfly and desolator?? 7/10

I don't think so, Slardar has many hp, he'll lower Kardel's armor and then go on bashing. No chance... However nice guide, I used it yesterday and had 8:1 at the end. ( was a bit too greedy )

i was workign on a slardar strat because there wasnt one, but i guess i dont havta make one now. btw, i always get some bashers on him, even if he already has a bash, trust me it works. also, max out bash early asap. you only get sprint AFTER you get ur ult, thats the only time when people will actually run after you. otherwise, not bad

in the end you should change your helm of dominator into satanic because the new skill of satanic is unholy rage, no longer death pact. unholy rage helps almost every DPS hero and slardar is no excuse bcuz:

unholy rage
no mana cost
30 increased damage
added lifesteal

just look at the items section and look at satanic.

and also, i dont buy boots early on, i get after my first trip to the fountain since the 500 gold is better spent on an extra bracer or RoR+tangos which will make you stay on your lane longer.

Hmm... Testing builds to come up with one that uses the new items... Still not perfected (too hard to balance survival with damage...) But so far it looks something like this:

Uh.... U can Bnd Amplify Dmmage with 1 battle curias,1 netherezim Buckler so... it wont be usefull in early or late game:

Early : Netherzim Buckler

Mid: Vanguard, Somethin With Mgc Resistance ( Optional )

Late: Battle Curias

Extra: Dezolator,Dagon

Does skadi work well with this hero.. well of course for the mana and added life which could be almost 500 hp and 400 plus mana, plus a little attack speed and the most useful frost, together with sprint can an enemy hero evade this dude not to mention the stun

why do almost do everyone comment on the boots?! common its based on you if you want it in the early game or not... about the 2x bashers, i think its better (if you can) if you use a basher and MKB its better because of attack speed and 100 bonus on every bash...well its a good strat anyway...no comment

Didnt get your point... You mean if you get buckler+Assault cuirass you can negate amplify damage??? Well thats stupid... Who would bother making meka and assault cuirass? Assumng its a team battle, even if you countered him, you'd still have the rest of his allies after you... And also, if you made up for armour lost, there still wouldnt be much damage reduction so technically you're still vulnerable...

And yeah, it really is an option to get boots first... I knew there would be a lot of debate but remember, sprint is your only escape method and even then, if you're still too slow, they'll have a lot of time to attack while you're taking 20% extra damage...Not good early on...

You should get boots of travel if you wanted to run fast not Sange and Yasha. I'd rather have hyperstone over battlefury.

I find Kelen's dagger of escape very useful as well, especially if they have someone with ranged attack with ensnare or sprout, and great for catching heroes with crazy speed. Dominator helm is cheaper but i find vladimir's gives slardar a bigger advantage

i got deso because after you amplify damage go foward sprint slitherin crush and wack like crazy plus if your have your armour cuirass your oppnent's armour will be like -100 lol(excatratted..) anyways 8/10^^

Hm...just read both of the Slar guides. I must say, they're both very good, both much better than the 3 stars they're getting. I must admit, I'm partial to the other guide's item build (deso/assault/vlad vs Satanic/Battlefury), but this one addresses farming a bit more adequately through its build. I guess it's give and take. I also found this guide to be complicated in stating the same point about chasing. So many things are crossed out, but seem to actually fit in the guide...what does that mean?!? I'm so confused, I think I'll go write a Levi guide...wait, I just did that!?

I really like how the multiple skill builds shows Slar's potential for all to see.

8.5/10, because I like the other guide's item build, and the simplicity of using it. This one is way too advanced for my 100+ ping...!!!

Kudos though, I believe any strat advocating things like Blink Dagger or Necrobook/Dominator are clearly on a higher playing field.

i think this is a pretty good strategy, but i think MoM is a core item, it makes ur attack speed a lot faster which will make u get ur bash hit a lot more and the life steal helps.

now, you can get another basher. But this is what I do,
Assualt Curass, stygian.

Then you have -15 amour with the AC aura -5 that stacks with the Stygian -6.
The Ac arua will stack with the Stygian!

This build work counter all type heros.

A very well done guide on using slardar . A veri clear step to step guide.

Another opponent that Slardar should be aware is Leviathan because the amplify damage is pretty useless against kraken shell. Anchor smash and gush were deadly, although he can outrun him due to sprint. Overall, it's a good guide. I'll try battle fury Deso and AC works well for Slardar.

1st of all cleaving aint an orb effect. no use gettin lifesteal too as u can own easily and back away fast enuf after geting the kill. try yhis build. powertreads,assault,(deso or mom(ias)),2 bashers,(u can either get heart or butterfly or radiance for ur last item)butterfly helps with gettin more bashes in and with evasion, even if ppl wack u while u usin sprint it dont matter)

battlefury rocks!!

I used your build/strat today in a 4v4, got fed a few times by terrorblade, and rushed the battle fury. seemed like gg until axe left, but the game went on to level 25,and ended when we got raxed. Anyway, i got an assault cuirass, and it works better than you'd think, and im wondering why you dont have one in your build o.O

thats good, gud strat. but some are over laping, it isnt the best to build 2 items w/c are orb efects. it wouldnt stck and evryone knows that. High hp and high dmg are best for him. hmmm in early game you should prchase a BF after that is deslator for a higher armor sucking. in that case you can dmg ur enemy olmost twice as your normal dmg and you can kill everyone who disagree w/ you^_^ thats ol thx folks^_^ ur strat is gud haha 6/10

Hi I m quite new and hoped to confirm that the following stacks?

1) Ulti = -15 (At Lv 3)
2) Desolator = -6
3) Assault Cuirass = -5

Read a lot of comments but hoped to confirm this.

Also how do u know whether it stacks as for e.g. -21 and -26 might seem to be almost the same in terms of the hp decrease, assuming all 3 items stack.

I read that you can actually go to some DOTA website to read up on the game mechanics or something?

E.g. hyperstone affects only the hero, not the illusions, dmg weapons affect heroes only, while stats increasing items affect illusions as well as hero etc...

Nice guide dude...tough i dont see the point of making Battle fury ...@ even if my fav hero is Slardar i never made battle fury on him...U will say that its for farming but Slardar is a hero killing machine. Ok i made my point...i would say that Assault cuirass would be excellent to make instead of Battle Fury because u get Armor and Attack speed and u need armor when u activate ur Sprint...Am I right? Coz if not ul be a dead meat against a stunner.. Anyway that was my opinon . Good Guide tough.

i say Assault Curiass is more useful than helm of the dominator cause it both takes away armor and gives attack speed but gd strat
