Orochi`s Anub`arak

great strat, but i have a question.

given your list of combos, will your current mana pool be able to supply enough mana to do the combos? is the dagon enough to compensate the relatively small mana pool?

if possible, could you post his stats (hp/mana) after getting the dagon (before mid-game)? thanks :)

What starting items can I buy after choosing Anub'arak? You see I only rely on Gloves of Haste and Boots of Speed, then I buy a Mithril Hammer.

hmmm... I usally go for perceverance after getting treads to make a battle fury.

But you should get a Ring of health and some branches as your starting items. Getting boots of speed as your starting item is not advisable. ^_^

You might wanna add a BKB for going against spellcasters like silencer(global silence) or ezalor (mana leak) for mid or late game... just a suggestion... nice strat

BKB could be used as an optional item, that's why I left one slot for optional items when you sell your dagon 1 at late game.

and i think this hero dont need battle fury because your puting stats

I didn't put S&Y in this build because it does not reverberate with the item build. S&Y doesn't complement the other items that I've included because you won't need to chase anyone with my build.

LOL, Anub'arak would decimate Rylai and Pugna in less than 5 seconds with this build. As for the nether ward, all you need is timing.

Anyone could have those items if they ferm well, and that's why I added the Battle Fury in the item list to improve farming.

i rekon dagon is a waste. also id rather get SnY and a radiance.

If you see my posts at the forum you'll find out that I'm not a big fan of S&Y. I only put S&Y on heroes with a slowing skill or have a fast MS. Anub'arak has neither of those, so the 5k spent on making him 15% faster a little damage & aspd, and meidiocre hp wouldn't effect him very much if not at all. Take note that I intentionally exlcuded maim, since I think that it's the most useless orb effect ever. Tnx for your comment! :D

well i do have my own and more better item build than you have there. as for me, it would be perfect if you could use ring of regeneration, boots of speed, null talisman & ring of basilius then sange & yasha in the first place. no one can face you w/ that item on your hands, then after that you could use dagon then MKB or butterfly or buriza (it depends on the opponent's hero).. the scary part is if you could farm aegis-divine.

Hey, a nob here, just wana ask, how do u counter Abaddon's Aphotic Shield and shear atk str? Abaddon just goes crazy with his Aphotic shield... I mean, how do u kill him if he cnt be hurt... Anub'araks carapace wud even help break his aphotic shield and damage Anub'arak in the end...

i think arcane ring will be helpful in this combo coz after those combos, you need to replenish ur mana

equiping anubarak with a stygian desolator will make vendetta icredibly powerful and will make his normal attack much more damaging.

atropos hater----- i play atropos, my friend plays NA he can kill me if he does it before i can target feinds grip, just gotta be fast and harass with manaburn early to stop that nasty sap

Good advice, but the format leaves a bit to be desired. I think that the strat leaves you open to strength heroes early, or a ranged hero w/out spells. What to do in the case of heroes that do not rely on spells heavily, eg. Midgame n'aix, tiny?

ive played anub a lot, and i find this itembuild ok but there is a lack of mana in your manapool for dagon in the beginning, so i prefer getting a point booster after boots and use skadi instead of satanic. then u dont have to run to base all the time for mana in the beginning pluss its useless to run from u late game

Hmmm, I don't have control on updating the cooldown since it comes with the hero profile. I'll talk to the admin regarding hero updates.

I don't get the idea of getting Satanic for Anubarak. Plz explain furthermore. The dagon build is good, but i prefer the S%Y butterfly, MKB build. At levels 18 up with this items, Anubaraks attack speed is extremely fast, not to mention the 525 backstab dmg of Vendetta. It would be a more easy kill reserving your mana for impale than for a dagon. Just a suggestion though, you can correct me if i'm wrong.

i would say u need perseverance some point early in the build... else you're always running back to fountain for mana. maybe then boots of travel are better....

when i play yunero anub'arak uses mana burn and hits me 400+ dmg and takes 260 of my mana how does this happen?

i think you are talking about Anub's "Vendetta/Ulti" Quote "400+" and his Mana Burn at level 4 burns 260 mana AND your hp.

Does the returned damage of teh carapace activates when you evade??

and why not use arcane ring for spaming and it will at least give you enough mana to do impale and mana once more right ?? and arcane ring can give you adition to your combo

but would it be good to buy refresher orb?? and plus it would be double damge for the comombos Vendetta(lvl4)525+Impale(lvl4)300+Mana Burn260+(dagon5)800damage= 1885damage but with refresher orb its double equlalling a massove 3770 damage!!!

p.s but there maybe problem with the mana pool make sure u have enough mana eq. above 805mana pool.

I can't believe I hadn't read or commented or rated this guide. Its exactly what I do and its unkillable. Dagon->Pers->Fury->FREEEEE MONEY!! I get... varyingly, Boots (whichever), Dagon, Fury, Heart, Skadi, Butterfly. But of course the only necessary items are the Dagon and the Battle Fury: from there on you are unkillable.
A superb guide! 10/10! Whoever did NOT give a 10/10 shall now be murdered in their sleep by unknown means!

Still think you should get him an energy or point booster for a little extra mana (or go for the full bloodstone if you can afford it). Shouldn't be a problem on single or 2v2 games

oops,i like this and i use Anub` arak nearly similar as you,i can kill some heroes at lvl 6(vendetta+impale+mana burn),they don't even know what's happening,if they are weak intel heroes such as crystal,prophet with full of their hp & mp;if circumstances arise.

nice, i always play as assassin. Everyone ALWAYS makes jokes about me getting dagon at lvl 10 or 11 when im in game. Then i proceed to rape. Then they leave. Never ever used battlefury or satanic b4, will give it a go. Great strat i like the dmg calcs. 10/10

GIRL POWERS GUIDE TO THE LANE MASTER

I've been dominating too much these days and for those that recieved the in game spam of my GIRL POWER, lol, i owned and dominated. So i'm writing this add on comment article to pass it on to those that feel the nerubian assassin can own all heroes.
i've been recieving alot of comments ingame saying that my items are newbie but thanks to ice frog, i realized my items combination works great for this awesome hero.
I concentrate towards total lane control and ownage.
The assassination combo is still the same but you can do it more often, stay on the battlefield, and farm.

ITEM LIST CONFIGURATION FROM START TO LATE GAME.

0. CHICKEN DELIVERY, YOU BETTER STAY ON THE BATTLEFIELD
1. RING OF REGERNATION
2. SOBI MASK
3. IRONWOOD BRANCH
4. RING OF PROTECTION
5. HEADRESS OF REJUVATION

This is total lane control as your creeps have the benefits of armor and life regeneration. The same applies for yourself.
Your goal is to out regen and out mana gen your opponent giving you lane advantage and the least possibility to be killed by mana ganking and giving you the possibility to gank.

6. Void Stone
you can just wind walk yourself out of danger or if your certain, you can vendetta combo for a kill at this point. For the save side of vendetta cool down, i would purchase a
7. ring of regeneration
combination to perseverence
so that you can go farm and wait until vendetta cools down.
8. boots of speed
yOu gott run off after you kill.
9. void stone
this is when you really shine, this is when you out mana regenerate your opponents on your lane.
Keep in mind that you need to harass them with mana burn and impale to drop their hit points to your desired point to vendetta kill them.
SPAM BURN THEM ALL.
10. ring of regeneration
No more going back to the fountain, just stay on the battlefield or farm.
11. DAGON
why go for treads when your kills can gold you up to get boots of travel,
works great to outrun people after you kill them.

The next set of super items will be determined on the face of the battle and how good your opponents are.
I can go on and on about how to counter the majority 5 of opponent heroes but i'll simplify it for the time being.
Your items right now should be,
ring of basilius
headress of rejuvenation
perseverence
perseverence
boots of travel
dagon
you should be at level 16 at the 20 minute mark if your pro and know what your doing and have all those items by then.
your lane should be fully pushed destroying the 2 towers.
and you should be farming or gank assisting.

Now you can go for a linkens spehre if their are any stunners, ruptures, or doom bringers on the opponents team. Gives you a greater chance of life and ganking.

THe most interesting part now is that you can go for a refreshers orb to take down tankers doing 3000 damage with the vendetta hit, hit, impale, dagon, mana burn, (PASSIVE REGENERATION OF MANA) refreshers orb, impale, vendetta, dagon, mana burn, chase and kill. Every 120 seconds to make the opponents most powerful hero cry like a baby for 90 seconds. lol.
Anyways, stay on the battlefield at all times and seek heroes that have the hit points low enough for you to gank or combo gank successfully with your allies. No going back to base.
FOROT TO ADD THAT YOU NEED A CHICKEN SO STAY ON THE BATTLEFIELD.

remember that your next item configuration is determined on your opponents.

IF There are tankers and not many stunners. i can just go for 2 battle furies and yes they do stack and yes people fear me because i can dish out more agility speed damage then them.
your carapce armor gives you added strat protection for you.

MONEY MASTER LATE GAME BUILD,
PUSH FOR A VICTORY, WHY TRY TO FIGHT.
REMEMBER YOU OUT REGEN MOST OF THE OPPONENTS,
YOU CAN HARASS AND DO ENOUGH DAMAGE TO MAKE THE OPPONENTS RUN BACK AND HEAL.
ALL YOU DO IS PUSH.
Late game may be tough for nerubian but hey, just push, your mana burn spam and your impale and hit hit hit hit hit can do so much damage in a length of time.
REMEMBER EVERYONE. you are your own fountain with 2 perseverences, just push it, if the opponent is brave enough to stay for a battle, harass and drop his hp to 1000.
SUPA NUKE HIM.
he dies, gone for the next 60 seconds and then his tower and his barracks is gone, moving towards the next lane.
You want replays, email me, i got them all.

FOR LATE GAME ITEMS, try this, some hero opponents maybe able to dish out more damage than you, enough to make you run but this will help you at least fight back.

TALK ABOUT FEAR AND FURY.
you got the money, go for that and all creeps will die to you. YOUR REGEN will let you push without going back to the FOUNTAIN. Each hit will kill the clones and will do enough damage to put fear in your opponents. If your hp is low, go and creep and a few seconds later come back and push push push push.
You can take the towers down quickly.
I'm a person that doesnt rely on chance or luck, just plain skill of kills, i kill directly, thats plain and simple.

Everytime I didnt get the chance to pick nerubian assassin, i laugh at how people build up their nerubian assassin. Although i have to admit, i'm very worried about the nerubian assassin when it's missing in game but when i know for sure that it can't regenerate mana fast enough to harass everyone in the game, i tend to be fearless about the nerubian assasssin. I just dis them off about their non mana regenerating build.
You can get an arcane ring to nerubian assassin, that would be great but not great for farming.
x2 void stones and a ring of basillus means constant mana regenenation at a fast pace that you can even BURN OFF AND OUT REGENERATE INTELLIEGENCE HEROES, MWAHAHAHAHA.
Intelligence heroes are easy prey on my lane.

recently i had try using anubrak, and i try this guide. a well made guide, but dont you think its contain too much item. and lastly, mkb s fine if you want to add more damage, i more prefer butterfly first rather than mkb.plus it adds more armor

Hmm tnx 4 the strategy... just wanna ask, did you compute the dmg of ur combo w/ the armor of the enemy? coz i think the dmg of your combo wouldnt be that much painful if your enemy is larged armored like "Dragon Knight" or any other heroes. w/ that, your combo is wasted isnt it? just wanna ask^_^ But tnx 4 d tips and ideas^_^ hahah i learned alot:P Your item build is unquestionble hehe, thats prety nice:P Keep up d gud work dude..

i've been playin with anubarak 4 quite a long time now n he is really 1 of z coolest heroes hehe lol umm good strat but i don't think battle fury is not this important 4 Anubarak instead i think we can go directly on the helm of dominator n then farmin 4 z mkb then farmin for a hyperstone(givin u insanely attack speed u can kill pratically any heroes without usin any spell if u hve this with mkb) and then we go 4 z satanic n later completing a cuirasse...any tanks that gna gang u wen u have those items r commiting pure suicide...die noobcke!!!...lol anyways good strat though...

Theres lots of items because hes detailing what to get and when. You can't always say 'this this this this this gg' and ignore the fact you get Wraiths or Nulls and regen and potions to start with before building up...

For the Mana Pool Problem I think Grab an arcane ring mid game as it will help u with the combos. Late game sell it maybe.

I'd still prefer perseverence with 1 stat booster over an arcane ring.
perseverence has a recipe bonus.
i'd rather farm with a perseverence vs an arcane ring due to hp regen.

you dont really need hp early and mid game because he can stun and run away, burn mana so no nukes will kill you, if it gets really nasty you can just vendeta away. Besides your not the hunted your the hunter. Oh and i like to go go ring of basilius early on if your afraid of the aura giveing you away just turn it off.

Hmm, I like RoB as well. I get RoB and RoR for a great many heroes if I can keep whoever I randomed. So then its RoB, RoR, Boots... Dagon.

however i dont use Anub'arak as a hero that relies on mana and combos. Personely i go for attack speed and an overhaul on dmg. but ur idea might work too i will definetly have to try ur dagon idea

I'm not really into the whole dagon stuff as i start off building na for late game. I don't need dagon to kill early game anyway. I go for helm of the dominator early for easier farming as na's hp is actually quite paltry and it would be better to let a centaur tank the other creeps. Then i get butterfly and satanic after that and usually by that stage the game would finish. If the game drags on though i would just get a Buriza so the crit gives me insane lifesteal.

Just do tell ya mana burn does not damage like u said early game. Only mana burn

you turn invi for xxseconds.any attack made before the xxseconds period is over,you get bonus to your attack damage.

I like how you showed the math. The mana/damage ratio helps you understand how truly evil he is. I should use that in my strategies.

with the calculation add up that was more than enough to convince people who uses anubarak to have a godlike at early game

mana burn ,burns 260 mana and then dealing damage equal to the amount of mana burned it is means same 260 damage. in mana n damage to hp,... so cool!

Technique:
use vendeta... since its duration is up to 60 seconds and its cooldown is 60 seconds also y dont u try this:

when u plan to kill the hero(i prefer those who are tankers) ex.when u are about to go to the fountain, activate vendetta then when u are regaining health it must cost an amount of time then plan to backstab the target then attack w/ ur vendetta(dont use when vendetta is 1/4 and above cooldown) use vendetta when its cooldown is almost done (like 5 seconds away or somethin)after using vendetta use impale then mana burn 4 some harassment then the hero might try to run then we go back to vendetta since that time the cooldown might be done(if its not done keep chasin the hero) then use vendetta then the hero is laying down on the ground..... using with guinsoo its more easy to do this Technique since it has polymorph+great mana regen+int 4 ur mana pool......

I dunno... a dagon just doesnt seem worth it. All the full combo gives you is just enough to kill 1 hero. I dont wanna run off with 13 mp left. I'm thinking of a stygian or an arcane ring. And arcane ring adds 300 mp + it can cast replenish... But you've got a very good guide going there

sorry to double post, but this is how i feel, mana burn, whack, whack, whack, impale, whack more, mana burn, impale again or vendetta. Only issue is that vendetta has a 60 sec cooldown. Few Dota players are dumb enough to go farming alone. When it comes to multiple heroes, shouldnt you save vendetta for an escape? And most folks wont bother running away till more than half their life is depleted. That's when you can impale, whack and use mana burn to finish them off. Well, that's my view anyway

it give NA 120% damage back
and around 42 armor

i chose the sphere so if the try to target me they fail, mking them attack me normaly, or just run away, giving me the time to mana burn, stun, and attack

heart of tarrasque 2x(high hp together with mjo it can tank a 5 ceep wave)

Anub' arak= Wonderful early to mid game hero. Excels in annoying opponent players and strikes fear with vendetta. Absolutely useless late game unless you spend gold purely on agi items instead of upgrading your dagon. But if that's the case, he becomes dps and not skill dependent.

good build, dagon is great against agis and intels, should be replaced with dmg items if they have tanks (na can sorta dps, although hes still quite poor). should consider sny, for some reason maim and ms boost are nice

Good guide but dagon requires 245 mana to be used, so your mana pool will be almost always depleted... i played it once with shiva´s guard and it was very cool cause the freezing effect when it's activated. Plus mana,and armor it gives to the wearer is very nice

Exept from dagon that I dont like , I wouldn't do MKB too. Nerub doesnt have that much attack speed for an agility hero ,especially before butterfly

I wouldn't make neither helm of dominator or battle fury, the money for these I'd use to upgrade dagon.
If you want lifesteal, make a vladimir and instead of the dominator, make a SnY for running faster and slowing your opponent, then a butterfly and its done

Something... you can't be serious saying scepter for him, it doesn't improve his ult. You should get dagon 5 (cause late game heroes won't die with 400 damage, but who knows with 800), maybe lothar's for fake ult , sny for running faster and slowing, butterfly (for atk speed, evasion and damage) and maybe some itens to help your partners.

I hope you guys understand the reality of a perseverence on any hero,

getting a perseverence for nerubian assassin is a must.

for lane raping games,
i go
headress of rejuvie,
ring of basilus,
perseverence,
void stone,
and boots,

I can lane rape all day and spam all day,
nobody messes with me because i am my own fountain,

and if you really want to be stacked up,
go for double perseverence.

For 238 (negaidestiny):

Monkey King Bar used to require a Quarterstaff and Demon Edge, and not two Javelins. That was before the 6.50 series I believe.

For 257(girlpower4ever):
You don't need that much mana regeneration. One Perserverance is sufficient. Besides, with all of that stacked mana regeneration, you're wasting money that you can use for other items. What about Power Treads and Dagon? Dagon is one of Nerubian Assassin's core items.

What I sometimes do when I play as Nerubian Assassin is replace Dagon with Necronomicon. Necronomicon provides a nice amount of Strength and Intelligence. It also offers summons which you can use to surprise enemy heroes.

Most people will think your two summons are easy kills, but once you come out of Vendetta and backstab them, there's your chance to stun them and kill. The Archer has Mana Burn and Aura. The Warrior has Last Will for 600 damage, True Sight, and a Mana Break.

Nice work. I really enjoy playing Anubarak, but the problem is his low mana in early game. Great supporter, pusher and killer. I wouldnt get satanic though or MKB, prob butterfly strait away cuz he is agility. GG
