Crystal Nova (V)
Blasts enemy units around a target point with a wave of damaging frost that slows movement speed and attack rate for 5 seconds.
Level 1 - 80 damage and chill.
Level 2 - 130 damage and chill.
Level 3 - 180 damage and chill.
Level 4 - 230 damage and chill.
• Damage type: magical
• Will slow the affected units' movespeed by 30% and attack speed by 20%.
• Casting range: 700
• Area of Effect: 400
Mana Cost: 100/120/140/160
Cooldown: 15
Comment: this is rylai's only nuke. this skill in conjunction with frostbite is what makes rylai a good ganker. early game, you should NEVER EVER use this skill for creeping as it costs too much mana.
a note on using frost nova: when doing the frostbite-frostnova combo, do not use frost nova while the hero is still encased in bite so that the slow wont be wasted.

Frostbite (E)
Freezes the target in a case of ice, prohibiting movement and attacking. Deals 70 damage per second.
Level 1 - Disables the target and deals 70 damage per second, lasts 1.5 seconds.
Level 2 - Disables the target and deals 70 damage per second, lasts 2 seconds.
Level 3 - Disables the target and deals 70 damage per second, lasts 2.5 seconds.
Level 4 - Disables the target and deals 70 damage per second, lasts 3 seconds.
• Damage type: magical
• Blink- and Metarmophosis-based skills cannot be used while under the effect of Frostbite.
• Lasts 10 seconds on creeps level 5 or lower.
• Casting range: 500
Mana Cost: 115/125/140/150
Cooldown: 10
Comment: this is rylai's primary skill. a frostbite + whack + frost nova + whack combo will net you early game kills. though its best used with a teammate.
when creeping: frostbite actually last 10 seconds against creeps, dealing 700 damage. use this to farm neutrals only when you have mana to spare. |

Brilliance Aura ()
Gives additional mana regeneration to all friendly units on the entire map.
Level 1 - Adds 0.5 mana regeneration.
Level 2 - Adds 1 mana regeneration.
Level 3 - Adds 1.5 mana regeneration.
Level 4 - Adds 2 mana regeneration.
• Stacks with the Brilliance Aura given by Ring of Basillus.
• The bonus mana regeneration is not considered for percentage mana regeneration increases.

Comment: though this skill got buffed in one of the latest version of the map, you're still better off with stats. brilliance aura gives you mana regen, something you do not really need since you wont be spamming any of you're skills. |

Freezing Field (Z)
Causes many random icy explosions in an area surrounding Rylai. Enemy units in the Freezing Field are slowed.
Level 1 - Each explosion deals 105 damage, 170 damage with Aghanim's Scepter, lasts 4 seconds.
Level 2 - Each explosion deals 170 damage, 250 damage with Aghanim's Scepter, lasts 4 seconds.
Level 3 - Each explosion deals 250 damage, 310 damage with Aghanim's Scepter, lasts 4 seconds.
• Area of Effect: 635** / 190***
• (**) Total area of effect of the spell.
• (***) Area of effect of each explosion.
• Damage type: magical
• The slow is applied on all enemy units within an AoE of 635, even if they aren't hit by any explosion (lasts 1 second).
• Every 0.1 seconds one explosion is made, for a total of 40 explosions.
Mana Cost: 300/400/ 600
Cooldown: 150/120/90
Comment: this skill deals massive aoe damage and is chanelling. i will discuss it in depth in the latter sections of the guide. |
