Images benefit from evasion and the stat boost from butterfly. The fake bashes prolong the "real" stun made by heros.

Linkin sphere maybe added for status, but there are more important items, The copies' greater use is draining mana and confusion. I am telling you, i can kill anyone without area of effect attacks without getting touched, i've done it many times. Dopplewalk during battle is great too, especially when they figure out the real one(which is not as easy as it seems for the untrained eye).

Not to be rude or anything, but please know what you are talking about before rating, please. When an illusion procs a bash, is prolongs the original stun. Meaning they cannot start a stun, but can prolong it. TRY THE STRATEGY BEFORE YOU RATE IT PLEASE!

Fake bashes really prolong the real stun. Anyway HH, upload your replay on a file server on just post the link. Or just convert it to a flash movie [I have no idea how] and add it to the built-in insert flash movie function in the strategy maker.

dont give him an item dat increases your crit.. it will help them determine who the real hero is..(original hero has a higher crit than clones thats why)just an opinion

I would rather go skadi than manta style. Even though it has mana burn, it will be very hard to catch up to ur enemy even if you have spirit lance and doppelwalk. And placing doppelwalk at a late level is a little bad cuz lvl 1 costs 150 mana

Clones dont prolong real bash and feedback does not work on phantom lancer's images (it is the only hero in which feedback doesnt work on its images). What works one phntoms images are evasion, atributes, movement speed and critical strike.

Nice strat... Although I'd recommend Radiance and Hyperstone instead of bashers... Reason being that with 8% dodge from radiance, 25% from bfly, and 15% from Phantom's Edge..You dodge half the time, and they cant use spells on you because you burn all their mana and they're screwed... Hyper = more images and mana burn

i personally would go for persy to then complete battle fury then work on eye of skadi and have a travell to do complete ownage

i dont think u should wait till lvl 13,14,and 15 to get doppelwalk.it is a very helpful skill and too costly to wait till lvl 13 to get, especially when it costs 150 at lvl 1.

now that they have vlads, try it.. Its awesome lifesteal aura without orb effect.. and do the images do crits? Cuz if not it will definitely blow u away.. And why get buriza for slithice? He already has great crits passive skill..

I really like this strat but I think I recommend dopplewalk if the enemy in your lane at the very beginning which is lvl 1 is a mana burner for example NarubAssasin
This is a good way to let the enemy to waste their mana on illusions while you are invisable and still get exp so they can't cast mana burn after they just catsed on illusion.

bashers are actually bad on pl and any other image-based hero.
bashers works like this for heroes and its images:

1. a bash made by an image does not stun. you can see the animation but there is no stun(which is why its called a fake bash).

2. a fake bash will prolongs a bash that is either fake or real. in other words, if a real bash was produced first, the fake bashes will prolong this bash resulting to a perma-bash. however, if a fake bash was produced first, the succeeding fake bashes will prolong this fake bash resulting to a perma-fake bash.

this is the reason why bashes are bad for image-based heroes epecially azwraith. azwraith ca easily produce 8 images in a short time or about 4 to five images in a second when juxtapose and phantom edge is maxed. so the chance of producing a real bash first is 1 out 5 (assuming there are four images) while the chance of getting a fake bash first is 4 out of 5. which means that there is an 80% chance that a perma-fake bash will happen and only 20% chance that a perma-bash will happen.

skip the bashers, seriously. manta style is essential. after manta... i would recommend butterfly or skadi if your team does not have a slower.

great strat but i personally never go with criticals i usually get SnY, Manta, Tred, and butterfly and that's usually good enuf because on top of your base damage you'll be doing an extra +132 from your items and +152 with stats maxed, usually that's enough when you add in your base damage to own anyone, hell yesterday, i owned a pudge with two hearts with that build, maim is a beast when proced

actually they are all fake bashes with image heroes but once the real hero procs a bash the image's bashes then stack on his to permanently cause a perma bash effect, basher is beastly on any image hero as long as the real image procs a bash

but there are 5+ images and only one real azwraith hence, chance of getting fake bash is much more than chance of getting real bash

1. bashers dont work with imges
2. butterfly does not stak with phnatom edge
3. crstals and burza arent good choices either
4. dopplewalk is great for harassing early game

overall its an OK guide needs improvement

this hero is very easy to use even with out practice, but i guess the level of my opponents aren't that high.

just want to share especially for 5v5, get sobi mask 1st then tangos, 1st item i save is persy to stay on lane longer, i max out 1st and 2nd skills immediatly and if you're with the same lane with a stunner, you can go for a lvl 5 kill. after persy get power treads then battlefury. next item is mkb and game is already over literally, no BS! you should be on a killing spree by then you can get HoT for more life. like i said, maybe my team mates are very good or my opponents are bad.

i've seen people play with manta style and i hate them, what i mean is, it's perfect for PL that's why it's annoying, it's just that i never got the chance to use it because i can get alot of money from hero killing and i can get more expensive items. i want to try that perma stun build someday too

I think spirit lance sucks. You should use your skill poitns on dopplewalk and juxtopose. Dopple walk really helps at the start cause of the image. I usually go solo enywhere with phantom lancer thanks too the dopplewalk. Azwarith needs more attackspeed I think thats missing from the itembuild. But this Phnatom lancer who you build is a damage dealer I think he is better in going permabasher (my item build >manta,butterfly,2 uranium bashers and assult... AND YOU WILL HAVE THE GOLD FOR IT!!!... And did you know bash is good for the illusions and dopplewalk images and mirror images? (LOL)

how about no up Juxtapose until get ulti lvl 6.and Spirit Lance,Doppelwalk full.

I find that getting butterfly before all of the other uber-items works better than crystalis/basher; the agil/atk speed make you proc much faster which is important against things that are good against illusions.

It also obviously makes all of your other items that much more effective because there will consistently be more of you.

On top of that, the evasion along with phantom edge makes you tough as (#@$ to hit

probably the best 1 on 1 hero, but i'd reccomend a radiance.

after treads i prefer butterfly becuz you have a less chance dying and more valuability to the team or for just pushing reasons or farming.

Manta style has orb effect so watch out for what items you buy after it.Anyway manta style is the key item when you play PL.Any other build(which is not based on manta) is just a waste.....

the bashers dont work on illusions its a fake bash and it overides the reall bash:S
and i dont like the lak of hp in this build. Phantom withy dmg is a killingmachine yes. but with hp he is a unstoppeble pusher which easily leads your team 2 victory, even with powerful aoe he is incredibly hard 2 stop but with a dmg build its not a big prob 4 a good aoer to stophim (chimera, chrystal etc) and then call the team 2 kill him. 6/10.

Clones get all passive skills like the mana drain from manta. basher works well with high atk speed.(even if it only works for clones.) 2 sec stun with 3 atks per second is deadly.(especially if theres 5 clones with 32 mana burn per atk.)

NO NO NO Don't get a basher, neither a BF. Only mass dps items (mkb, or even buriza if your facing noobs)
A butterfly may not be as irrelevant because of the attack speed and dmg added.

If you're facing strenght based heroes then I still think the best way is to pump up your illusion's hp.

Prety good if i say so myself, phantom lancer is one of my favorite heroes since he's perfect for ambush team attacks...

Where's the Battle Fury?
Cleaving attack increases chance of juxtapose because of its damage spread.
Backstabbing is hard to do for Phantom Lancer because his illusion's duration is just so fast.

This guide has got a lot of flaws... For example, you really, really shouldn't get Powertreads for him. The 35% IAS doesn't work on clones. Also, Cranium Basher sucks on him, since the stun the clones make isn't a real stun, only the graphical effect appears. The attacked unit can still move and fight.

With phantom lancer u get Eye of skadi ,treads, vlad, butterfly, assault, buriza

Phantom lancer is a nice hero but when there is no hero that can sweap your ilusions.Today i played sven against phantom and i killed all the ilussions with 2 hits and he had at least 10.I even didnt know who was him but yet i maneged to kill him with splash and radiance.Also bloodseeker with battlefury can regenerate more of his energy by killing your copies so you make him a easy job to kill you and stay on full hp.

Low attackspeed owned by lancer, means low chance of image-making.
Also, image with low hp, low damage, very vulnerable is very very useless.
What's more, dopplewalk at lvl 1 speeends alot of mana.

Great guide, although in my experience you really shouldn't buy items that gives you a crit, as the more astute players will notice that your crit is higher than your images and thus they will target you... =( So I find that it works better just skipping the crit and just going for basher or butterfly depending on who you are playing against. A second basher is a bit overkill but sometimes it can work wonders >)
Oh, and imao a good axe is yuor worst enemy, even though a good Levi can probably own you too... 9/10

I say sny, HoT, treads, vlad. HoT will be very useful because the illusions will be very hard to kill. Your last 2 items should be either the combination of radiance and butterfly for larger damage output, more useful for pushing. The second combination is double Butterfly! This is great for defending or pushing also because of the very high

evasion, you and your illusions will be very hard to kill and your image replication will be very fast because of very high attack speed.

and then I kille dthis guy by making myself invisable then throwing a lance at him :

adding a radiance to that inventory would be fun..and instead of cranium id use EOS cause this guy has reeli low helth so guys with aoe damage can whoop his ass..EOS adds sustantially to his HP aswell as AGI hence also increasing damage!! now that would be a fun lancer!!

just remember '+attspeed %', like the one from treads, butterfly, cuirass do not pass on to clones. ie makin the real one ALOT easier to spot ouut (the one attacking super fast). radiance is also a bad idea, late game u windwalk behind, manta, kill.if u have radiance, they'll kno ur there. duh. try this build. its relli effective, good for hero killing to, PLUS, no one will ever spot the real PL.

It will be a fake stun effect which look like real stuns but does no extra damage or the stunning affect.
And Buriza's straight damage will not go into the images..only agi damages will stack up to the images real attacks..
For better survivability make 2 hearts and 2 butterflies with a tread and manta.

YEAH! I'm playing with this lancer right now and it rocks!

I want to correct some things on what works on images and not :
- Cleaving attack DOES NOT work on images. So battle fury is useless.
- Pure damage bonus does not work either. So I don't think buriza is a good choice.
- multiple radiance does not stack. Plus the bonus damage doesn't work for clones. Not a good idea.
- Butterfly is quite good as evasion works for the clones. But neither IAS nor pure +30 damage.

I would recommend hearts to defend against AOE spells.

And sange and yasha maim does not work for images.

On the other hand, the strategy is nice. 8/10.
