It's generally a good guide but here are some criticisms.

Queen of Pain should max out Shadow Strike since they made the slow increase per level (level 1 shaddow strike barely slows now). I suggest you learn it at levels 12-15.

You should mention the art of spamming scream of pain, I always make sure that whenever I use scream of pain early game I kill a creep and damage a hero at the same time.

Otherwise good guide, that's pretty much how I play QOP.

nc guide.. but i think the linken skadi is too expensive.. i prefer deso than skadi since aka has slow.. and deso is very ouchy and gives the enemy minus armor and you can farm it in only 30-40.. ^_^

I have been looking forward to this guide for a while, and its pretty much lived up to my expectations. Fairly ownage, 10/10.

I have to say though, I generally get Sceptre for her and it works amazingly. I don't care if getting Skadi is more cost effective, I obviously get that later (if I can't own them to shreds before then). The thing is its just my mainline Int hero build - I can get the same 5 items for basically any Int hero that uses Sceptre and it owns. The bonus Int and mana and hp can justify the price tag for it. I've read all the anti-QoP-Sceptre forums though, I know the pros and cons.

Again, uber guide good screenies 10/10 AND I WILL BE BACK TO OWN ILLITERATE FLAMERS.

I've been wanting to see a guide on the "pro" build for Akasha here at DS for a very long time...
I now definitely get why you should prioritize Linken's/Skadi over DPS items, especially if you want to rely on your skills to kill and escape...(and survive mostly)
However, I can't seem to play Akasha right without maxing out Shadow Strike early... IMO, you don't get as many kills with Scream than with Shadow Strike...
But other than that, it's a great guide, and I suppose no one will have objections if I just give it a 10/10...

About the item build. Linkin is a good item for QOP but a skadi is overkill. I recommend getting a linkin, a desolator, an mkb, and a buriza. This way, she has damage and good skills as well as hp and mana for it.

just one additional item that I think you have left out that it is a must for int types. though I'm not very known in this forum but well I'll skipp the intros. the guinsoo, hell yeah this piece of disable will make you totally beyond godlike I've seen my friend(s) use this. during early games they just bring iron wood branch and a lot of tangos then upon reaching level 6 my friend usually go for hero kill. and after forming skadi he is already on the godlike stage well that' how I see them do it ^_^v

Good. This is good strategy. Covers up the obvious weakness of the strategy section - no QoP strategy!

There are 2 approaches to the item build however. Either you build a perseverance and upgrade it to linkens (thus delaying skadi), or buy a bottle skip linkens and rush skadi. I recommend bottle because of her ganking nature, however both builds are interchangable.

How to lvl up SS is still debatable IMO. SS works best if u lvl it early, yet lvling SS delays blink. If I lvl SS at lvl 12-15 some heroes might already be resistant to it (having higher hp) or have some escape skill as backup, eg Darkterror. I leave this question for you to solve.

You can get deso but that means that you wont be able to get skadi( the better item) bcuz two buffs (cold atk and curruption orb) dont stack

i think skadi is not a fit item for akasha. although it boosts his hp/mp and frost attack, i think deso + aghanims will be better. i'll go for the quicker kill. she's not a tanker to needs a big hp since she got linkin at first. anyways, still a good strat. 9/10

Something I thought I would add - I vote for maxing Scream AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. This means having Scream lvl2 when you are lvl3. The reason for this is that despite it still being low damage and not worth spamming (if you were going to spam it), there are still situations where you may be able to utilise that amount of damage for a kill. I've been thwarted as Broodmother when I got a level of Web then Bite then began to max Spiderlings in the same manner as your skillbuild above for QoP - and then, when I was lvl3, I reflexively used LEVEL ONE SPIDERS on a hero with 100 hp who would have died from lvl2, and he escaped. Just consider that.

Hmm goodthing you did not consider Refresher though it can be a luxury item its not worth it


Again guinsoo is one of a better items for akasha after you build your core.

Refresher is horrible I'm glad you didn't put it. Wasting 1.3 k worth of mana for 2 waves is not worth it.

hey! to your skill build! The shadow strike is so important...

nehh.. as much as possible, conserve sonic wave.. *for me* sonic wave is a skill for killing mob of creeps with the enemy hero of course (for primary damage).

How about considering linken+deso?!?
It's quite a new build for akasha and it really helps your teammates with the armor reduction...
but the old one seems to be (skadi+treads+mkb)+mkb+buriza+cuirass

I still love the Guinsoo - EoS build on him.

great guide..jz like the way i play aka. But deso n skadi reli depends on de situation. If i need more hp badly 2 survive, i'll gt skadi, but if i can survive killing heroes, i vote 4 deso instead cz its cheaper n kills hero fast since aka's nuke is pain.

Another ting is i don reli gt boots 4 aka in early n mid game. I save de money 2 but sth else instead. i immediately gt Bot during end game.

Great guide, you follow my skillbuild with one exeption, i usually get a Stygian after BoT and then Eye of Skadi (observe that Skadi Range is NOT an orb effect) A thing to consider....... but still 10/10

peopl stop trying to change his guide if you want different items fro QoP then get them just don't waste time mentioning it here. Besides this guide only goes up to skadi linkes adn BoT and 2 bracers so if you want other items you have 3 spots(sell bracers) to fill so stop trying to change shit you know nothing about. Other items are only suggested in here or discouraged because the author does not believe they are necessary to do well but that doesn't mean they wont work and he knows that so stfu.

I really don’t agree with the items because you must get the Aghanim’s Scepter it increase your ultimate and give an extra damage to the Sonic Wave, about the bracer I don’t agree ither because it gives you str, instead of that you can take Null Talisman.

Erm.. chochocheese, sonic wave affects all untis in a line until a limit while scream of pain affects unit only in a 350 AoE. Sonic wave can be used to kill a row of creeps if u r desperate.

by the way in the last scrren shot you said to click the red dot but its accually blue not red... unless you have problems seeing color( no offence)

Zzz, the pictures in your guide are totally different scenarios. Akasha is good against dying intel/agility heroes, but if against strength heroes like pudge, its very hard to kill, or magnataur. Seemed easy in this guide, but hard for my case. 10/10

Well, I've been playing akasha for hundred times, and I notice that her item build can vary very much depends on the condition.
For example, in early game, if u dont face much heavy nukers, u shouldn't make 2 bracers, 2 nulls are better for sure. In early game, she couldn't spam much skills at a same time due to her limited mana pool (wave costs lots of mana for sure).
And I'm not quite agree to ur build about skadi. Well~ it is sure a nice item, but you have to think about the cost. About 7000 only for 25+ all stats, little hp n mana increase and frost attack? That's all?
It is too expensive! And she don't need the frost attack very much, since she already have the ss.
Also, the 25+ agility is wasted!
For ias? No, 25 agi won't be better since she had little damage item in your build. If you want hp, I prefer HoT, since it has much more HP, and the regen it gives.
But, I prefer guinsoo than skadi. Guinsoo is one of my fave item. It has big damage for int heroes, mana regens, max mana pool. AND the HEX! 3second hex, could be very very very useful for everything. For escaping, for ganging, for killing. Sounds simple, eh? No, it can be applied to many situations.

Anyway,

No, you can't say that cuirass+deso is better than skadi. They have different purpose. It depends on the situation of the game to say which one is more useful.

I just tried my built wif Akasha and it was nearly same as yours. But i go for Skadi first.. and i must say.. all was good, hp for survival, mana for spells, chasing powers (BOT) she has are great too.. but about lvl 20 things changed.. i stopped killing because i simply did no dmg to my enemies...

i wasn't able to kill Necro wif 700 hp I used on him poison, scream and ult and hit him and he killed me when i have full (2000+) hp, he lost hmm 100 hp..!!! Strange?! When i tried to kill abadon his hp simply didnt moved down!! Need to find some source of dmg or you suck late game..

I have just played QoP, I rushed Skadi instead of Sceptre and did infinitely better as a result. On the other hand, the 10-0 I got is more or less my QoP average. The main thing was, they were all tanks - Sceptre rush wouldn't've been useful because of how much hp they had. Next item was Orchid. I got a Triplekill and the game ended.

Skadi rush is the best strategy forevermore!

i tried arcane ring seems good, then got boosters and bots eventually turned it into aga. I also reckon shiva isnt to bad on her aswell

The arcane allowed me to stay in the lanes for a long time and i managed to get several kills.

Your skill build isnt too bad, but i would max shadow strike after blink and scream.

more improvements,,,how about a support type akasha?it wud be nyc

Haha why do you even bring the dagger to discussion? As if anyone has bought that item on Akasha ever. Furter good built but I prefere no shadow strike early game since it does less damage then another scream of pain and by using shadow you might have not enough mana for it. Also the new threads are pure ownage on Akasha. By setting them on strength you dont need the 2 bracers anymore and with not skilled shadow strike you can skill some stats wich will allow you some more survivability.

Ah but Skadi increases hp and mana too, and Sceptre does not have THE MIGHTY FROST ATTACK! The ultimate gets an extra 125 damage in AOE... and...? I was there, now I'm not. Skadi is much better.

for all you complaining about not getting shadow strike, this guide was written for an older version where the slow did not increase per level

in the early game, akasha has little hp so you get braces instead of null talismans because they increase you hp and the 3 dmg increase is negligible

you get linkens before skadi because it is cheaper, has cheaper parts, gives you 6 hp/sec regen, and protection from the occasional spell

there are only four items listed. you can fill the other slots with whatever the hell you want. just realize that this guide was written for a more competitive environment where you aren't playing noobs so you don't get lots and lots of money

bloodstone and assualt cuirass are both way too expensive for what they do, don't get them

don't get both deso and skadi because the armor reduction and slow won't both activate in 1 hit

Necro is in the do-not-get-QoP pile because QoP only has a single three second slow rather than a giant disable like Bane. QoP = AOE caster + late DPS.

but if team need necro .. but need it .. so why do not build a necro ?some HP and MP + mana burn + blockers + some dmg

Skadi is HP and MP too. Blockers, for what, you have Blink you can do anything. If you need truesight then its improv item, but you need at least the slow from Skadi and maybe even Guinsoo to capitalize on the minions properly.

My build is Treads, Skadi, Linkens, Scepter, Dagon, I got owned w/ that build.

treads,dagon,scepter hard sux .. if you own pub with this it must be wery low public .. and if you build it on CW your enemies must be idiots .. so .. linkens + skadi +teleboots or necro + skadi/linken + teleboots

u need more HP than MP ... because you cant get stats ,u have withou items on 9 lvl about 750 HP .. its instant kill u need to survive that focus and blink out

On comment 111 by peepiet, i will strongly disagree. Skadi doesnt add very little health and mana. Firstly, 25 stats to str is (25x19) which is 475 health. COmbined with linken, its 40 stats to all. With ur stats attribute, by lvl 25, add 60 stats to all stats. So pls don understimate his build. Somemore 60 stats is a whopping 1140 health! heart is not needed as the regen wont be needed. The slow effect ceratinly is better. As qop is best countered with spells, thats the reason why he suggested linken. So heart is useless as u wont be tanking anyway. I agree with ur guinsoo though. But u still cant underestimate skadi. Anyone don agree, pls discuss. Im free to it. BTW, fucking imba build.10/10.

insufficient mana regeneration,you'll constantly need to return to base.Personally,I prefer euls before skadi(and no linkens at all).However 9/10.
