Well its time that I made another great strategy to compete with my 'Twin blades of death' guide so I hope you guys enjoy my guide about one of the best gankers in DOTA. Also there is something really special about this hero and it will be discussed later.

Akasha - The Queen of Pain

Range: | Move Speed: 300
Primary: INT
Str: 16 + 1.7 | Agi: 18 + 2 | Int: 24 + 2.5
Damage: 45 53 | HP: 454 | Mana: 312
HP Regen: 0.73 | Mana Regen: 0.97
Attack Speed: 0.69 | Armor: 2
 Shadow Strike
Shadow Strike (D)
Hurls a poisoned dagger which deals large initial damage, and then deals damage over time. The poisoned unit has its movement speed slowed for a short duration. Slow quantity increases per level.
Level 1 - 50 strike damage, 30 duration damage. 20% initial slow.
Level 2 - 70 strike damage, 40 duration damage. 30% initial slow.
Level 3 - 70 strike damage, 50 duration damage. 40% initial slow.
Level 4 - 100 strike damage, 60 duration damage. 50% initial slow.
Damage type: magical
Duration damage is dealt to the affected units every 3 seconds during 15 seconds.
Affected units slowly regain their original movement speed every second during 15 seconds.
Units afflicted by Shadow Strike can be denied by their allies when their HP drops below 25% of their maximum health.
Mana Cost: 80/100/120/140
Cooldown: 20/16/12/8 Seconds
Comment: A good skill on heroes such as veno but with this hero I usually only use it as a slow since it has the same slow at all levels, I rather take stats so that I can have more mana to cast my spells which have a high mana cost.

Blink (B)
Short distance teleportation that allows one to move in and out of combat.
Level 1 - 700 Range.
Level 2 - 850 Range.
Level 3 - 1000 Range.
Level 4 - 1150 Range.
Most projectiles can be evaded if Blink is used before they collide.
If targeted further away than the maximum distance, Akasha will only teleport 80% of the maximum distance.
Mana Cost: 60
Cooldown: 12/10/8/6 seconds
Comment: The golden skill which has great synergy with your third skill and also means that you decide when the battle starts and ends. However becasue of this skill you may be hard to kill, therefore in team battles you may be the focus of disables to prevent you from blinking but we will discuss that after.
Scream of Pain
Scream of Pain (F)
The Queen of Pain lets loose a piercing scream, damaging nearby enemies.
Level 1 - 85 damage per target.
Level 2 - 165 damage per target.
Level 3 - 225 damage per target.
Level 4 - 300 damage per target.
Damage type: magical
Units not visible by Akasha will not be affected, even if they are within the range of the skill
Area of Effect: 425/450/475/500
Mana Cost: 110/120/130/140
Cooldown: 7 seconds
Comment: Your primary nuke and the good thing is that it targets an area for a decent amount of damage.
Sonic Wave
Sonic Wave (W)
Creates a gigantic wave of sound which deals heavy damage to all units in a line.
Level 1 - 350 damage
Level 2 - 475 (530*) damage
Level 3 - 600 (725*) damage
Damage type: magical
Casting Range: 700
Can be improved by Aghanim's Scepter (* shows the improved values).
Mana Cost: 250/360/500
Cooldown: 135 (100/70/40*) seconds
Comment: Your mighty ulti that also has a mighty mana cost. At first look this spell may not seem that usefull because of its low damage especially when compared with laguna blade and finger of death but this skill gives the user double and triple kills because unlike those 2 skills I named above it has an area effect.

Skill Build

Early Game:

The reason for maxing out scream is easy since its your primary nuke and your most used spell alongside blink and since its stronger in early game when most heroes are 'soft' its better to max it early. Shadow strike is used as a slow in this guide rather than a damage over time spell, this skill is not really used by me on this hero as I use it on Veno, its purpose IMO is to slow a running hero so that I or my team can kill him. Another reason why I dont take Shadow strike to early is because its a blink+Scream+stats is a little better since these are what you mainly need for this hero.

After playing with this hero on many occasions and also seeing this hero in many games (mainly pro games) I have noticed that there are two items which are mainly obtained: Limken's Sphere and Eye of Skadi. There are other items but these are the two that stand out, but now you are faced with another problem, which to get first. In the beginning I used to rush skadi first and begin owning but then I realized that this hero is subdivided into different aspects according to the point of the game.

Early game- Weak hero that needs as much last hits as possible
Mid game  - A caster based ganking hero as other intel heroes
Late Game - A DPS hero with nukes

Therefore I have decided to choose linken's sphere first because it will help at the point at which I my get it, mid game which is when Akasha is a caster hero at best then the skadi at late game so that I get a larger hp and mana pool and resort to continue picking of foolish heroes that think they can stop the Queen of Pain.

Bracers are choosen because this hero has low hp at the start of the game, it sometimes doesnt matter if you get power treads or BoT but I chose BoT because when you get it in mid game you can easily teleport around the map ganking heroes and farming so that you get your skadi faster.

At this point int the game you have a really weak intel hero that must get as much last hits as possible, so our starting items could be a chicken(unless your team already has one), some iron woods and tangoes/flasks. Last hitting with this hero isnt that hard because she has a good attack animation but on the other hand she has low attack so time your last hits carefully and deny when available.

Try not to be too aggressive because this may cause you your life and the key to early game is surviving, so pay attention to the enemy heroes mana pool and look out for any warnings your team might give you about missing heroes. Dont be afraid to blink when necessary( blink descriptions come later on). However if you see a perfect opportunity for a kill especially if you are in a lane with a soloing hero. E.G-

Sit back and farm up your bracers and perseverance, if you are playing a little aggressive with your spells then you should get your perseverance first but if your playing defensively and focusing on last hits the get you bracers first for the extra stats. However always remember that the key to early game is survival so always look out for missing heroes because heroes like PoTM and Balanar love to get kills early on because a 5 second stun and a fast beast is a scary thing for an intel hero who's hp hasnt crossed 1000.

There are a few things to escaping ganks-

Mao awareness my your whole team and the placement of observer wards especially in the water and in the forested areas next to the lane you are in, but dont go spending all your money on wards so let your team take up some of the cost of the wards.
Also you have a blink so with all of those above things in play it would be hard to die.

Blink has a range of about a 1000 but if you click to blink further than 1000 range you will only blink 800 range in the direction.

You should aim to get these items by the end of early game-

 Boots of Speed Perseverance
 Bracer Bracer

Good Guide, teh only problem is attack dmg, buy a sceptre or shivas or sumthing to get the sceptre which will add a lot of dmg which u need
