Aw, a very expensive build... And also, i don't think you can kill hero without metamorphosis...

Yea, Metamorphis is very important, i usually postpone the images till level 9.

The name of the game is harassment. If I do not have metamorphosis, I do not go head on with a hero with full life. You have to weaken the other hero first with Conjure Image with mana burn. Then when you feel confident enough go for the kill and use purge to prevent the hero from running.

Metamorphosis is strong but I find it difficult to cast Sunder when in that form.

I'm surprised that you didn't get metamporphosis. It's great for destroying a tower.

Yeah, when you talk of harassment, metamorphosis is the skill to get...

True about destroying towers. I just focused on effectively being able to cast sunder, harass as much as possible, and stay on the battlefield much longer. This works for me but feel free to suggest alternative solutions I just got this build from experience.

I'm not sure with others... but as for me, when playing Terrorblade is just a matter of chosing Metamophosis OR Conjure Image as the first skill to max out. Cos if using both skills together, you won't have enough mana at the beginning... Metamorphosis & 1 Image and you are totally out of mana even with null of talisman.
But when i play Terrorblade, i always get these key items, Basher + Skadi. Basher for the stun, and Skadi for the cold effect and boosting of mana to cast all the image you want.

My workdesk is just beside Cain2143's I have already played with this guy and might have already tested this strategy as the opponent some weeks ago.

Hey Cain! My newbie status is wearing off a bit ... let's have a 1v1 match again soon. And hope to join the 2v2.

Cain's strategy is still a good one, i would like to try it out one day. Just a minor changes on the skill build. Start from level 14, instead of putting points into Soul Steal, why not put it into Metamophosis?

the items are too expensive for a 5 on5 you may not get everything in your list. does anyone know that you can use sunder as a support skill? try this: when your ally is dying approach a little closer then sunder him when your at full life then go back to the fountain that way you can save your team mate hehe.

I agree with the items being too expensive for a 5v5 match and I mentioned how to help your teamates with sunder in mid game but did not elaborate. In a 5v5 match I still try to get diffusal but instead of manta I just get 1 basher then try to go directly to heart. If you have good teamates, you never really finish off your purge until the end.

pwede rin gawin metamorphosis ang soul steal depends on how you feel the game is going to go. Pero sigurista kasi ako eh. Gusto ko pag metamorphosis dapat sure ako na mapapatay ko siya kung hindi nasasayangan ako and iyun basher ko kasi mas effective pag melee. Minsan pinapa-aga ko metamorphosis instead of stats if medyo confident na ako na sufficient na life para pumatay na. I just posted this kind of build here because I feel that this would apply to all (and pwede rin replace mo metamorphosis sa soul steal). Para sa akin mas type ko lang focus mo ay Conjure image at sunder dahil complimentary skills sila. Maraming beses na ako namatay na metamorphosis state ako then hindi ako maka sunder dahil kelangan pa maglakad ng additional step kaya naging Conjure image mas type ko sa hero na ito

Good suggestion about skadi but it would override my mana burn (from manta/diffusal blade) if not in metamorphosis state being an orb effect.

I agree bout sa eye of skadi... Cold effect then basher... No escape... Pero kung pra sa harassment tlga, dpat metamorphosis first especially kung ka-lane mo is a melee hero...

@ cain - we're not all Filipinos here. @ Tsiong - *rough translation* You can use soulsteal or metamorphosis depending on how you feel the game will go. But I want to be sure that when I use metamorphosis, the hero will surely die and that the basher will not lose effectiveness (Yukino's note: He's pertaining to Range vs. Melee chances). I get metamorphosis before stats if my HP is high enough for killing. I just posted this kind of build here because I feel that this would apply to all(and you can replace soul steal with metamorphosis) For me, I focus on conjure imag and sunder because they are complementary skills. I have died many times in metamorphosis form because I still needed to move towards the hero to be able to use sunder.

Cain.. about the bashers.. If you get it in melee mode, it stays at 15% whether you are in metamorphosis form or not.

good strat.... but i rather buy lothars and Dagon 5 for sure kill on enemy..hehehe but still this strat iss kinda battle terror blade.. we also can use caster terror blade for more gold like max right away metamorphosis and becoming range hero to break the tower for 400+ gold?? yum yum ...hehehe

@ yukino - thanks for the comment about not everyone being Filipinos and you made me think about whether going for bashers or going for dagon1 instead. At least I can modify this build to remove the bashers then go for the ff items in the specific order depending on your skill build dagon1, diffusal/lothars, manta/HoT, HoT/Butterfly where "/" means you can choose either item.

@ yicong - I disagree with buying dagon5. It would be too expensive and I would rather save money for HoT and/or Butterfly. Lothars seems to be a good item for this char also.

No matter how you people think Metamorphis is important it will not change Cain's mind. May not be important to the maker of this guide. Different playing styles :) Why is the guide rated only 2 stars just because you disagree. Of course you will all have different strategies, try the strategy before you ask the creator to change there mind :). btw Cain the extra stats with conjure image really works well at the start!!

Hahaha. You will have a harder time doing this next time I think it would be more effective going for Cranium Basher first rather than HoT

Can 2x Basher + SnY + Kelen's Dagger work for Terrorblade?

@shadowfiendmk47 - Version 1 of this strat was Ring of Regen, 2x basher, Manta, and Power Threads. I think 2x basher is also an effective alternative. I just modified the item build because I found that the Dagon can be a very useful item for this hero. I think SnY is also a good item but I feel that Diffusal is more effective for TerrorBlade. It also depends on your preferrence but for me adding stats will be much better and getting items (like basher) that complements his attack speed or skill build.

Regarding Dagger of Escape, good suggestion. It might also be an alternative for Lothar's edge This is the twin brother of AntiMage anyway

Try this for 1v1... Just buy lothars and dagon. let the neutral creeps attck until you have at least 300 HP then run. use lothars then sunder a hero then dagon!!! AHAHAHAHA. INSTANT KILL!!!

i like to get life steal late game and more attack speed hes almost impossible to kill that way late game. I saw someone do this and the only way we were able to kill him was with mines. his images were just as hard to kill as him.

Even with fast attack speed items you can't kill him now, Sunder costs no mana now and the cooldown is so fast. Someone told me it is 40 seconds. I am not sure, can someone please tell me?

I think the cooldown of sunder is specified above as 80 and it does not cost any mana to cast at level 3

for me i only make a dagon for soulkeeper....go to rossian earn damage and find an enemy...use sander on it...and a hit of dagon.........

First, I think Ring of Regen is not necessary since he has soul Steal.
- but since you upgrade soul steal at end game, it's ok.

Second, I don't think he need lothar edge since he has sunder.

third, I don't think he need heart of tarasque while he has so many image so he won't be targeted first.
- I think it's better if it changed into linken sphere, battle fury, or mekans.

About soul steal, it's won't work good enough if you only use lvl 2 at middle game. I'd rather make it full at beginning or not upgrade it at all until lvl 21.

@joxie - I think that Soul Steal is not effective at the start because he has small life. That is the purpose of the stats and so that you can spam either Conjure Image or Metamorphosis if you decide to get it earlier in the game. In the philippines, it is necessary at the start to have a ring of regen for any (int/agi/str) hero else you may find yourself going back to the base more often if no teamate helps you out. And 2 ring of regens is cheaper than a ring of health if you are not planning to get a perseverance.

I will not teach u guys how to play with Terrorblade, but only makes some minor comments: 1)where will u get the mana to use dagon? Terror.B is an "agility hero" with enough mana problem.
2) With only a "sange&yasha" & a "powerthreads" & lv4 metamor & conjur, TerrorB becomes a deadly killer.
U just metamorph & cast 2 conjur(wait cooldown) & he kills easily.
3) with all the abov things (u can try to c), u must know choose a gud way to level ur hero correctly. For ex; choose level(1or2) soul steal(1st spell if u want) etc.. Don't waste ur mana. U can max metamorph 1st or both conjur&metamorp + lv1 soulsteal. Don't use things like Heartoftaras.. or dagon with him.

i have a real different build though on item and stats, i max out soul steal immediately, very low mana and will surely keep me in the lane a long time. i go for skill build:
1.ss 2.ci 3.ss 4.ci 5.ss 6.sunder 7.ss 8.ci 9.ci 10.meta 11.sunder 12.meta 13.meta 14.meta 15.stat 16.sunder 17-25 stat
i don't use ci until i reach lvl 12 atleast. i use meta only when infront of tower... super pusher!
i get a 1 power treads and 5 bracer until i can save enough money to buy big items like linken sphere for unlimited ci. then i go for skadi, once you form skadi, metamorph then pick it up, this is a bug fix because sometimes slow doesn't work... with these basic items alone the game should be alomost done because of your super push abilities. 4th item could be manta style 5th item butterfly 6th mkb if the game lasts that long... just try

1st items must be, ring of regen, a couple of tangos and that must be it..if ur heading 1 on 1, an ultimate orb, and the regen and tangos..

if ur noob enuf to feed...build vanguard and arcane...also change the skill build to soul steal + stats (up to level 5) then go conjure..

Nice strat! When i play terrorblade i get Boots, Lothars and Dagon2 first, this will give you some easy herokills at start and then you got a lot of gold you start buying skadi and BoT. Totally rock!

honestly, I have commented this before on a different hero strat, why is it that when someone gets a melee hero, they start out with RoB then they never say upgrade to VLADS, IT MAKES 0 SENSE, MAYBE EVEN -19 SENSE!

Hey, Caine2143.. Other people can damage Terrorblade's real self and when Terroblade casts Conjure, Image come in full health so they will know who is the real one OR Conjure comes in exactly same health as Terrorblade?

This hero needs Radience, it owns. All clones get the dmg aura, so 3 clones + you is 4 times the aura dmg..

Usually i go:

Also why does everyone go dagon? It's such a lame item, and mostly useless endgame, unless you are pugna.

Metamorphis is like his best move at hunting, if u have skadi early with metamorphis your hard to stop.

an early eos should do the trick 4 terrorblade...i always use terrorblade and my item is only power threads and eos n i start to kill people with closing my eyes...sunder+dagon is nice too...

this is how u use lothars edge. u play like an assassin. when ur about half health, go back into the fog, create image adn sent it to lane. Then take your real guy, and take your life under 150 by neutral creeps. Windwalk right behind your enemy, (doesn't matter too much whether he is solo or with an ally, since you will be whacking him deadin 1-3 hits.)While the think your image in the lane is really you, you sunder him out of nowhere, positioned right behind him to immediately melee strike him. full hp? doesn't matter.

I tried doing soul steal early game and it does not do well if you have a ranged hero against you or a storm bolt gets thrown at you. Also, the creep can be denied. Soul steal is used only if you cannot yet go back to the base and you feel that you need a little life to avoid getting killed on the way back to the fountain.

This build works for me but I do not really get a dagon in most of my games. What really hurts if they have a disabler and they stun me just before I sunder. So I usually attack with an ally with me as tanker. I make sure I dont use meta so that I am as close to the enemy as possible then when life drops I sunder.

And this guide is not updated anymore. Please check the date. It was made during the time when there was still no vanguard. Now I go for diffusal, then vanguard, then manta, then HoT, then butterfly. This strat works for me and this is how I play terrorblade :p I see him more as a stronger magina. If you want a stronger magina use terrorblade and buy diffusal and dagger of escape but I thing the money spent will not be worth it. I prefer diffusal because purge serves as a marker to teamates to attack that hero.

I have played against player who go for the metamorphosis or for the soul steal build. If he soul steals, it is easy to harass since terrorblade just becomes stationary. If he goes metamorphosis, I waste time and I would know who real terrorblade is once the time is up since the images would still be in meta form. Try my build and dont do dagon. You will find that if you cannot get hero kills you can always go back to pushing which will gain a lot of money for you mid-end game. Just do not cross the river without a teamate.

i think it would be better to get metamorphosis then soul steal alternately or what ever way you want it before getting conjure image.. i usually save it for last. i also get crystalis and it good for pushing...

i agree, metamorphosis is a need for terrorblade. also, EoS for terrorblade has no skills that will slow the enemy when he escapes. Buriza is also a need, the more the clone, the more chance to critical, the more the chance to critical, the more the damage.the more the damage, the faster you kill. the faster to kill, the less life can be damage, and the less life can be damaged, the mor chance to push your enemy, the more chance to push, destroy the tree of life or frozen throne, then you win
